When Erin was growing up, after every strong spring rain storm, dozens of Tympoles would be flopping around everywhere. She had always thought them precious and cute, the way they hopped around and made precious chirruping sounds with their headphone like bulges...
But now, standing before it's full form, a lumpy, creepy looking Seismitoad with a large, dull smile on his face... She frowned, it's height matching hers exactly at around one and a half meters. "Well, what can you do?" She murmured, drawing out her Pokedex to figure out a bit more about the really awkward looking Pokémon. She had never seen one in real life before, having only seen them on the television and such... but...
She just really didn't want to be here, actually. Not with this thing. Maybe she was just judging it too much, with it's goofy grin... But. God, it was just so hard to like-- It's hand was on her shoulder now. She stared at the giant as it stuck out it's tongue at her.
::It increases the power of its punches by vibrating the bumps on its fists. It can turn a boulder to rubble with one punch.:: Reported the Pokedex, before reading out the moves that the creature currently knew. ::Echoed Voice - Drain Punch - Acid - Mud Bomb - Rain Dance - Aqua Ring - Supersonic - Refresh:: The speaker lumps on his body vibrated with a friendly hello at her.
Just from the start, she had an idea of a combination of moves that would look dazzling... Actually, two, that would be good. She smiled and nodded at him, as he wrapped his weird, mangled-like arms around her and pulled her into a hug. His belly was huge and squishy, and although his skin felt slick, it didn't really feel all that slimy. A bit damp and smooth, though.
"Okay, so... The first round we have to appeal, and make you look your best. We should keep that short and sweet, right? Next, we have to pop a balloon... I think we should be precise and accurate with that, trying to make the flashy stuff happen around the balloon and not aimed at it, so when the pop comes the balloon can be easily seen as part of the act," she spoke aloud, trying to brainstorm with the swamp frog that was pretty much cuddling her.
It was really kind of nasty and gross, but cool. At least he liked her, right? "Lastly, we have the dumby. I think we should do our best to do the most amount of damage to it, maybe make it explode with your moves somehow. Now, we have plenty of time before we have to show off our stuff, so let's see if we can practice some of the techniques." She pulled away from the Seismitoad, finding her hand taking his like he was a human instead of some awkward, lumpy monster. She dragged him off to a corner, smiling slightly.
