l i l l i a n g r o v e s Lillian monitored Nathan's face when he chuckled, becoming worried when he suddenly clutched at his head. It put her on edge a little, but she didn't act immediately. She saw through his streaked hair into his heterochromic eyes, finding them beautiful. Those were rare colors for eyes, especially appearing together. She couldn't help but stare into them for too long, appreciating their beauty before Nathan spoke again.
Lillian blushed at the compliment as she continued to chew her food in small bites. He really was smitten with her, wasn't he? She was unsure how to act, especially since no one was ever this obvious towards her. "Maybe it's because I have nursing training." She replied when she was sure he wouldn't interrupt her. Her eyes twinkled when she revealed that bit of information. She was always proud that she knew how to heal others. "Are you sure you're gonna be alright?" She asked, sensing his pain from his expression.

Nathan forced a smile on his face; it wasn't an honest smile, but he didn't want the girl to worry about him too much. It was his fault for drinking from the punch while he could clearly see that the other people didn't even go near the syrupy liquid. He thought it was, becasue they found it too sweet for their tastes. Oh how wrong he was. Maybe he shouldn't go to big parties like this ever again. The songs were loud and made his headache worse, the partying guy cahttering was irritating and there was a strange smell too. The only good thing about this was Lillian.
The tall boy's lips got dry and he suddebly felt thirsty. He tried to stand up and get some cold drinks for himself, but as soon as he got up, he started to nauseate and had to sit down again. He felt dizzy so he closed his eyes, taking deep breaths, waiting for it to fade away. "...I'm fine. Don't worry." His tone wasn't too convincing, but Nathan was too tired to care.

l i l l i a n g r o v e s Lillian saw his smile but wasn't really convinced too much by it. But it was kind of cute, she'd give him that. Suddenly she saw him try to stand up but sit back down again, taking deep breaths, and she became even more concerned. ".. Don't give me that." She replied, not buying his excuses. "What do you need?" She pressed him for an answer despite that he was being stubborn. He was the one that asked her to sit with him, so why wasn't he letting her help him? Maybe he was just being too prideful, she thought.

Nathan smiled. He stared into the girl's large, blue eyes and couldn't help, but chuckle at the serious look on her beautiful face. "I just wanted to get some cold drinks for us." He said, giving up on trying to be prideful. Asking for help doesn't mean he's a weakling or anything. Lillian looked like she worried about him so might as well let her help. "I'm kinda thirsty." Okay, he should shut up now. Better concentrate on holding back the urge to retch on the floor now.

l i l l i a n g r o v e s Lillian grinned a little when he chuckled at her expression, but it didn't shake her seriousness completely. He explained what he wanted, causing a wave of relief to go through Lillian since now she knew what he needed. It made her anxious to not know what do do for him. "As expected." She replied, smiling a bit in amusement. "Just wait here." She instructed, standing up and walking towards the table where huge drink dispensers, including soda, could be taken.
... well, Nathan was drunk. He definitely didn't need the sugary crap. She settled for getting iced water for both of them, using both hands as she carried them back to their table and set one in front of him. She sank back into her seat again, taking another bite of food and wondering if she was gonna have to do this for the remainder of the party. It looked like it was kind of settling down - trainers were beginning to leave, the feathers and faux fur of their costumes scattered on the dance floor. It really was a wild night. Lillian sipped gingerly at her drink as she considered striking up a conversation with Nathan. But it still seemed like they were acquaintances... wouldn't it be odd? It sure felt odd, at least to her. Poor Nathan. It'd take a while longer for Lillian to come out of her shell.

His hands were shaking a little so half of it splashed on his hoodie. He didn't mind it; it actually felt refreshing. He was starting to feel hot and it helped him cool down, but only slightly. Since he was still hot, he started to take off his clothes, but only the upper parts. He sighed in relief when he got rid of the hoodie, finally starting to feel better.
When he was finished with the drink, he put the glass down, thanking Lillian for getting it. He wiped his wet lips and let out a small yawn. He quickly covered his mouth though since he didn't want the girl to think she was boring him. He only felt a little bit sleepy.
"So...where did you get those ears? Are those a part of your costume?" Nathan smiled, finding the accesories kind of cute. They really suited Lillian, though he didn't understand why she chose these ones when she was dresed up as a Blissey and they were obviously Audino ears. "I think they're cute." He quickly dismissed the thought, thinking the girl must have a good reason for wearing them.
From the corner of his eye, the brunet saw people slowly exit through the doors, but he wasn't bothered by it. He hated crowds so it made him feel at ease when people decided to leave and go home.

l i l l i a n g r o v e s Lillian smiled when he took the water and drank it, giggling a little when some of it splashed onto him. He was trashed for sure. A small blush came upon her when she noticed that he was taking off his clothes; she glanced down at her drink as he did to avoid seeming creepy. But it was only his costume he stripped out of. "You're welcome." She replied to his thanks. The yawn was a good sign. Sleeping off his drunkenness would be good.
At the question about her ears, she seemed a little surprised. She wondered if she should tell him the truth or not, then silently told herself that even if he didn't like her for them, it wouldn't matter to her. It would be stupid to lie so readily and have to make up excuses later. His compliment of them made her smile, reassuring her. Maybe he wouldn't mind. "They're real. I'm.. a pokemorph." She told him, taking a drink of water as she answered him. A pang of worry resounded in her chest when she said it. Crap, what if he really didn't like it? Sure he practically raped her back there, but he was the only person she'd truly met at the party. She should've lied.. no, it was already done. The was no reason for regret.

Nathan eyes widened in surprise, backing away a little. Did she hear her right? She's a pokemorph?! Wow. He was shocked by the girl's statement and he couldn't respond at all. He never met someone like her before. Sure he heard about pokemorphs before, but meeting one? He couldn't belive it.
The boy quickly snapped out of his daze and leaned closer to Lillian's face, inspecting her ears. When he looked closely, he could see them move slightly from time to time. That was...so cool. He leaned back quickly, not wanting to startle his companion. She might think he wants to kiss her again. "Wow. You're a pokemorph? That's awesome!" Nathan's face was beaming with excitement, grinning like an idiot. This girl's amazing!

l i l l i a n g r o v e s Lillian placed the glass down again and looked at Nathan with a slightly depressed expression as he reacted in a typical way - wide eyes, backing away, staring. Was he gonna run away, too? Was he gonna - oh, now he was leaning close to her again, but she didn't move even though he could've kissed her right then if he felt like it. But he leaned back again, making her feel relieved. She didn't know what she would've did if he tried again.
He suddenly complimented her, which came as a surprise. She was silent for a moment, staring as he grinned at her. People usually treated her like a freak because of it, but he was... just so nice. Lillian gave a genuine smile. "Thanks... I kind of like it too sometimes." She replied, tugging at one of her ears with her fingers habitually. She felt the urge to tell him that it gave her better hearing, but why would he care about that? He probably was thinking 'TMI' right now. "Your eyes... are they natural?" She asked, thinking that it was his turn to tell her something. She scrutinized his bi-colored eyes with risen curiosity.

Nathan scratched the back of his head, feeling a little uncomfortable by the girl's question. He didn't like it when people asked about his eyes. They mostly just stared at his face though, startled or amazed by his heterochromic eyes. He hated that so he either turned heels and left quickly or kindly told them to 'gtfo'. These eyes were a curse for an antisocial guy like him who hated drawing others attention. Well, she answered his question about the ears so he decided to do the same too. He would feel like an ass if he kept silent.
"Yes, they're natural." He glanced down at the ground, trying to avoid making eye contact. He was sure Lillian was staring at him too like the others used to and he didn't want to see that. His determination soon wavered, unable to endure not looking at the girl's pretty face. He glanced back at the her face, hoping she wasn't staring. "I pretty much hate them."

l i l l i a n g r o v e s Lillian continued eating her food, noticing that it was cooling down. It was about half finished; she'd gotten quite a bit so that they could share, but he didn't seem hungry anymore. He was probably too in pain to eat it, considering his hangover. She was slightly disappointed that he looked down to avoid her gaze, regretting that she mentioned it at all. She hadn't meant it to embarrass him; it was just as rare to have beautiful eyes as pokemorph qualities, and she was certain that he wasn't made fun of as much as she was.
She glanced away when he looked down, feeling awkward that he was hiding from her. But he looked back up just as quickly and she looked back, blushing in spite of herself at how meek his face looked. It was so different from the arrogance he had when he was drunk - more sensitive and real. She found herself caring more for him. "I think they're beautiful." She said in a reverent way, wishing he didn't hate them. She looked down with embarrassment after that compliment, silently scolding herself for saying that so easily. But then again, she wasn't like other people. It didn't seem like that personal of a thing to say in her opinion. But.. what if she was leading him on? After all, only crushes said something like that. Ugh, bad Lillian. Bad.

Nathan blushed at the girl's statement about his eyes, feeling a little embarassed. He heard this countless time already, but this was the first time he felt happy from being told that. Maybe it had to do with the fact that only pedophiles and bitchy girls liked his eyes before. Nah, it had to be something else. It must be this girl. When he's with her, he feels more relaxed and calm, not feeling tense about being surrounded by people.
"Thanks, I guess. I always thought they were creepy." The brunet's eyes darkened a little, but he quickly regained his composure and cracked a grin. Before, he thought he was a freak for having bi colored eyes, but now he was starting to doubt it.

l i l l i a n g r o v e s Lillian risked a glance back up at Nathan, realizing that he was blushing at her comment. Oh no, she made him blush.. that was bad. But then he replied in a casual thanks, and she let out a small sigh. His grin reassured her that she hadn't messed up either way. "That's unfortunate." She replied, not wanting to dig further into the matter for fear that she'd seem annoying.
"Sorry for asking so much, but... how are you feeling?" Lillian dared to say larger sentences now, considering that she was with only one person that seemed to respect and listen to her. She felt a growing trust for him. And with her nursing capabilities and his need to be taken care of, that was a good thing. Now since he was sort of relaxing a bit, it seemed like his pain had lifted a little. I hate repeating sentences... She thought to herself, already feeling stupid for asking.

Nathan shrugged, not really knowing what to asnwer. He didn't feel sick anymore, but his head was still throbbing, though not as badly like before. "I guess I feel a little better." He scratched the back of his head, messing up his already messy hair even more. He wasn't the type to care about these kinds of things, but now that he thought about how terrible he might've looked, he quickly pulled his hood over his head.
His stomach growled suddenly, surprising the boy. He haven't eaten in a while, had he? Then he better start eating. He took a few shrimps from the tray Lillian brought and proceeded to eat them. He was chewing the bits slowly, scared he'll start to feel sick again and he might end up throwing up.

l i l l i a n g r o v e s "Okay." Lillian said with an amiable smile, glad he hadn't snapped at her for mentioning it again. It was probably better to just pretend he wasn't in pain; he'd forget about it and his body would heal itself. Amusement shone in her eyes as he pulled the hood over his head. Was he insecure? She knew how sick people looked and certainly wasn't judging him on that. When he took more food from the tray, she pushed it towards him in silent encouragement to get him to eat it. She was glad he had a healthy appetite; it was natural for that age.
Glancing away from him, she surveyed the large expanse again. There were less people dancing now, some of them having resorted to drinking their brains out before passing out on the floor. How distasteful, but somehow she felt regret when she looked at them, as if she wanted to have an excuse to join them. "Shame I haven't had a drink yet." She remarked quietly to herself, probably loud enough for Nathan to hear. That was on purpose. Maybe, secretly, she wanted him to encourage her to drink - although she didn't get drunk easily. But she was the type that appreciated the fine flavor of alcohol. She drummed her fingers on the table as she stared at some corner of the wall, thinking about things.

Nathan gulped down the food in his mouth and wiped his mouth with his hoodie's sleeve. He gave the girl's face the once-over, trying to find out why she was looking at the people on the ground. When she heard her remark, he knew she wanted to get some alcohol. He cracked a grin and stood up from the table. "Then why don't we get you something?" If she wanted to get drunk like him and the others, who is he to stop her?
He grabbed the girl's hand, nodding with his head towards a long table full of bottles. Most of them were already empty, or only half full, but if they looked hard enough, they could see there were still plenty enough for both of them. He didn't want to get drunk again, but a beer or two won't hurt. Right?

l i l l i a n g r o v e s Lillian glanced at him sidelong when he grinned and gave the obvious response, causing her to smile knowingly. Then he suddenly grabbed her hand, causing her to gasp before she realized that he was just leading her to the liquor table. She spied several bottles on there that still seemed to hold some liquid. Hopefully no one had drunk from the bottles themselves, but if they did, it wasn't going to stop her. "Hmmm..." She picked up one of them and scrutinized it. No, it was a cheap wine. She looked through a few more before stumbling upon one, a fine red wine from an Italian sort of region. They were famous for their wines even though this one was one of their more common ones.
"This'll do." She said cheerfully to herself, grabbing a generic plastic cup and pouring the wine into the cup until it was brimming with the nectar. She set the bottle down and brought the cup up to her nose, taking a deep whiff of it. Ooh, it was potent and rich, just like she was expecting. Then she took a light sip of it, appreciating the taste. "I'm lucky they had this." She said giddily, smiling at Nathan before taking another sip. She didn't necessarily want to get drunk, but a drink would loosen her up, and that was always good.

Nathan smiled to himself, amused by the way Lillian was acting. She had such a cute and satisfied look on her face as she drank her wine. She must enjoy the taste of the red liquid. He stopped smiling and looked down at the aluminium can in his hand, thinking about something. The can was mostly empty, since he drank the beer in it, leaving only a little bit left. He felt kind of bored now that he realized, he was having something like beer. It would be much more exciting to drink something 'stronger'.
He shoved away the empty cans around him, making them fall off the table and land on the cold floor with a light thud. He didn't meant to litter, but they were in the way. He quickly grabbed an unopened bottle and, withut checking its content, started to drink. When he was finished with half of it, he stopped to take a breath and decided to check the tag on the bottle. He facepalmed himself after he read it. "Fuck. This is absinthe."

l i l l i a n g r o v e s Lillian continued sipping her wine when she suddenly heard the clattering of metal cans against the ground, the irritating noise causing her to cringe. Her ears were horribly sensitive to sounds like that, especially since they amplified the din much more than a normal human ear. "You could recycle." She said in a half scolding, half joking tone as she looked at him, taking another sip of the alcoholic liquid.
Suddenly he grabbed a bottle that hadn't been opened, causing Lillian's eyes to widen a little. "Hey, aren't you-" She protested, but he was already chugging down the bottle. She took a step back, her eyes wide and untrusting. And Absinthe too! How did he manage to even drink it straight? "You didn't have to drink with me." She said gently, feeling a bit bad that she led him there. She could only trust herself to take things in moderation, it seemed. "You're already in bad shape." She didn't continue drinking the wine just yet, feeling sick just looking at Nathan and his bad drinking habits.

Nathan's eyes was wide, the room spinning with him. He tripped in his own legs when he tried to take a few steps back and fall over, slamming his head into the table. His forehead started to bleed, but he didn't notice it. He was too busy trying to grab something so he could stand up. He wasn't too succesful though, only managing to shove two bottles off the table which landed on the floor, next to the aluminium cans. They shattered to thousand pieces when they made contact with the ground.
"Damn it." He started gathering the pieces, but he accidentally cut his hand. The cut was pretty deep and blood started to ooze out of the wound immediately. Nathan wiped it in his trousers, thinking it will stop the bleeding. "Hmm. It's got a nice color."
