No, that wasn't true, he'd grown stronger as a person perhaps. Red-head took a moment to reflect on all that had happened since he last snorted lines off this very table. There was the masquerade boat, he didn't really remember that. Blaze had soured his mood there. Nose wrinkled up at the thought of his underling. The battle for the power plant was just as stupid. Blaze had lurked underfoot the whole time, rearing his ugly head like a pimple Syl just couldn't pop.
With a grunt of annoyance the man threw back the shot in front of him. He downed the whole thing, wiping his mouth with the back of his hand. He forced a toothy grin, leering at all the underage bitches who breezed passed him in pursuit of free drinks and rich men. One slid into the seat next to him, pressing her chest together and pursing her lips. Syl threw an arm around her bony shoulders.
"Want a drink?" he purred. She giggled and nodded. "Wonderful." |

It wasn't long till Maria found herself in the Pubb, where else would she go to in Verona on a day like this anyways? Not that it mattered much, she would just have a few drinks and then head out into the dark streets. A burst of warmth hit her as she opened the door. It was quite a bit of relief to the quickly freezing temperatures outside. Much better in her opinion. She was a summer flower, not a winter weed. Her eyes scanned the bar and the floor, a fleeting hope of someone she might know fading as her eyes didn't settle on a familiar face. What they did set upon was a familiar hair color. The violent red locks sticking out like a sore thumb in this dull crowd.
Making her way across the room she kept her cool, kept her composure. Picking up a drink from the bar as she walked by it, no doubt it belonged to someone else but as the glass was still full it was free game in her mind. Putting it to her lips she pulled up a seat to Syl's booth and gave him a smile.
"It's been awhile."

Eva was a respectable girl. The lure of drinks being handed out to anyone without cards being checked had been just too tempting. Eva had gone in with every intention to just have one fruity cocktail. But the young boys pockets were full, and before Eva knew it she was having a wee bit of trouble walking straight. Eva had already visited the bathroom twice, once removing the contents of her stomach and the second time to empty a very full and demanding bladder.
Now that she was out, she felt even better. Her stride was a little more confident, but she still felt super woozy. So woozy in fact that a man who had bumped into her sent her sprawling face forward onto a table where two people were sitting. She sent their drinks flying across the booth, spilling the beverages on the two. "Oh god, I'm sorry." Eva said, trying to pick herself and ignore the giant wet stain on her front, "Some asshat over there pushed me."
