s i e r r a c a t a l y n n The fancy letter and the package that came with it were unexpected bonuses of signing up for the Valentine's Day event on a whim. It was flattering to see her name in huge italicized print, and everything else in the letter, including that wearing a huge costume would guarantee her success in the love business, agreed with her. After all, the panda costume was nothing short of adorable, and the minds behind the letter seemed like professionals about making love connections. What was the point in not wearing the costume?
The only disappointment about the letter was that it directed her to the Verona City Ghettoes, which she knew from her trip there with Susumu to be very dangerous. Yet she was courageous enough to go; it sounded fun, and she'd get a free fancy dinner date if she went. Even with all the money she received from battling and odd jobs, it was hard to get herself fed regularly. She opted to wear the provided panda costume and embarked to the Verona Ghettos clad in the strange outfit, attracting a lot of weird stares and only a few hobos before arriving at the restaurant. She didn't mind the stares; she loved attention, especially wearing something as cute as this. Along with the costume, she also put on a flattering amount of makeup, including light green eyeshadow and lipgloss. Her hair was also cared for and curled slightly at the bottom.
It was dimly lit, from what she could tell, and full of tables marked with numbered plates. That was the indicator, she guessed, for which table she belonged to. Thankfully, she hadn't forgotten to bring the letter along with her so that she knew which one she had to sit at. Table 5, it said. With one glance around, she noticed the number; the table was empty so far, the way it should be. From what she could see, some people were already seated, some clad in outfits much stranger than hers. She contained her giggles as she went over to sit down at her designated table.
It was set with a small vase and a few fresh roses sticking out of it, and nametags adorned either side. Hers read 'Sierra Catalynn,' further confirmation that she was in the correct place. All she had to do now was wait, playing with her phone as she did. The hyperactive girl could never sit still if one paid her.

s i e r r a c a t a l y n n Sierra looked up at the sound of an unfamiliar voice, the panda head of her costume practically falling off as she did so. With one hand, she reached behind her to grab the hood and secure it over her head again as she responded, "I'm just playing Temple Run. My high score is almost a billion!" She replied, grinning at the unfamiliar girl. Hmm, she didn't seem to know what was going on around here. Weren't dates supposed to just sit at the table they were assigned? Yet she was just standing there, questioning her.
Keeping her game on pause, Sierra prodded, "Are you here for the Valentine's Day event?" and tried to keep an amiable face on so not to scare the girl away. The silly panda costume she was wearing would've sufficed for that.
