Wade couldn't help but smile slightly at the fact that Baloo had won so easily, but really it felt like things were a bit too... easy. This felt like picking on a smaller, weaker kid and Wade couldn't help but shake his head. If Riolu had been sent back out at the moment he was going to call Baloo back, even if the tub of lard little Pokémon was dancing and jiggling happily in Victory. The icy blue eyed young man tensed slightly as he watched his opponent, waiting for him to take his move- and then when it was Spearow that had been chosen- Wade's obnoxious Spearow and first truly caught Pokemon, Boreas the young man relented a little bit. Boreas had more experience than Baloo for sure, so it wouldn't be picking on the little guys as much. As the younger trainer made such an aggressive move, Wade grimaced-but in contrast to his fit and well-experienced trainer, Baloo simply stood his ground. The Munchlax growling defiantly as he was struck, before nodding to his trainer for a split second and simply following suit from what he did before with the Solosis. Baloo was a bit over-enthusiastic and a bit of a simpleminded tyke of a Pokémon now, but even so- his channeled rage formed around his fist as black energy, using Pursuit and aiming to strike the Spearow, even if the little guy was very well winded as it stood from the battle so far. +2 Levels to Baloo for Fainting Solisis.+1 Levels for Solosis for Fainting.Name: Baloo Level: 7 Ability: Pickup + Thick Fat Moves: Pursuit, Lick, Metronome, Odor Sleuth, Tackle, Charm Loyalty: 4/5 Health: Quite Hurt [15%] Notes: BALOO IS REALLY REALLY HUNGRY NAO. ;-; Giballoofooodzplz.

Scott's grin widened as he came to understand that a pissed off Spearow really didn't need all that much controlling in any case. He ran the back of his hand over his lips, hiding the grin on his face as he watched the little bear make an attempt at return fire. Spearow felt some of the damage, but only seemed more irritated by the fact that the pudgy thing had struck him. He laid into Baloo more, pecking and pecking at him with great zeal.
"Haha, yeah, that's the way to do it." He praised at the pokemon, though he had a feeling it wasn't planning on listening to him even with the sweet talk.

Baloo really wasn't ready for being pecked so readily- but the little bear hadn't met Boreas before. If any one of Wade's Pokémon was a mean little thing, it was that Spearow- which still resented being turned basically into fried chicken when it made the fool mistake of trying to eat Scuttlebutt. As Baloo was pecked again, it sent the hungry little bear skidding backwards from the force- his body was already sore and tired afteer all, and without a moment it was fainting time for the bear Pokémon. It fell on it's back and let out snores in perfect mimickery of its evolution then, and without hesitation Wade returned it to the Pokeball. "I'm impressed so far, Scott. You have the potential to be a really powerful Pokémon trainer. As far as you Boreas- maybe I'll introduce you to Vesperia sometime soon if you keep showing that kind of fighting spirit." despite one of his Pokémon having been fainted, Wade didn't seem to concerned. Infact, he seemed fairly non-chalant about it, as he reached onto his belt of Pokémon and grabbing his next Pokemon, but not before throwing a wrapped candy towards Scott. "Give this to Boreas if you will. I want it to be a proper and fair fight, and he's not been trained in a while so this will help even out things."Tossed Scott a Rare Candy to feed Boreas the Spearow+2 Levels to Boreas the Spearow for Fainting Baloo the Munchlax.+1 Levels for Baloo for Fainting.Boreas should be level 11 now. Then without hesitation, the dark haired young man then tossed out his next Pokemon, a blue and pink-red colored elphantine Pokemon, his Phanpy, Cre. She bellowed a bit before looking at Wade for the answer as to what to do, smiling happily towards her trainer before her eyes noticed who she was fighting, and the way her trunk twirled almost seemed like rolling her eyes then! "Don't hesitate or worry- Use Stone Edge, Cre!"And without hesitation the elephantine Pokémon stomped on the ground, sending rocks flying and then headbutting them in the direction of Boreas. Spearow had no chance against the Phanpy. The rock type attack killed one bird with more than one stone.
Scottie grumbled just a little, and then grabbed the pokeball that contained Paras. The blonde boy tossed out the little insect and as it escaped the ball it stretched languidly. Obviously she'd been in the ball for quite a long time.
Then the creature's face went hard as it looked at the Phanpy. "Alright Paras, use Stun Spore!" Scottie yelled as the Paras' mushrooms began to seep a strange yellow-orange powder toward Phanpy while it looked back to Scott for orders.
"Now use Scratch!" Scottie grinned as the Paras charged forward to swipe at the little elephant.

Wade could not help but grimace as he watched what happened to his Spearow by the hands of his own Phanpy, but the young man's icy blue eyes came back into view just as quickly as they disappeared. The broad shouldered young man tilted his head at his opponent, smiling gently and nodding to him gently. The youth let out a wide grin, "Just remember to keep your cool Scottie. First lesson they teach you outside of the Pokémon Trainer Academies is that if you let your enemy psyche you out... you lose. The young man paced back and forth gently after that, stretching as he watched Phanpy be sprayed by the stun spores and instantly begin sneezing as her trunk was filled with the spores and she found herself slightly dizzy as the bug-plant type scratched at her and let a slight ding. Stunned/Paralyzed.Wade nodded to her, closing the distance between him and his long nose Pokemon, giving the loyal little elephantine Pokémon a pat on the side, and tilting his head. "You can do it, Cre. Hit 'em with an Earthquake!"And the elephant visibly squirmed to move, but just couldn't get it, she was fully paralyzed. Scott looked back to Warren with some of the fire of battle fading from his eyes. He had almost forgotten that this was a friendly battle between acquaintances. "Yeah, you're right. I guess I got a little carried away. I'll probably have to work on that when I'm battling other trainers."
Then his attention returned to the fight at hand. Paras had that little Phanpy on the ropes. "Hey Paras, the Poison Powder!" Her commanded, and Paras obliged and soon a deep purple dust was wafting toward the Phanpy that was now weakened to the point of hardly being able to move itself.
"Then scratch it again!" He called with a grin, as the pokemon poked at Phanpy viciously.

The dark haired young man smiled gently as he saw the younger boy's reaction, understanding it and understanding things beyond simply that. He could tell that the young man had potential just from his response to things and how he got out of the emotion of the moment. Not many trainers could do that, and it was why some trainers ended up going down the darker path of things. "Yeah, I knew there was something about you, Scott."As Cre struggled against the spore, the young man tried not to grimace- the little elephantine Pokemon struck again from the scratch and the poison powder, and unable to move even to dodge it. She started sneezing too, and her skin was a little purple meaning Poison Powder had worked, and the Phanpy was poisoned. "You can do it, Cre. Hang in there girl! Hit Paras with Stone Edge!"And the elephant visibly squirmed this time, cringing for a moment as the poison sapped at her, but she was able to move enough to react, stomping on the ground and sending stones flying, before hurling them at Paras with her trunk, using it like a catapult. Stone Edge had proved to be a killer move, in this battle, and for Paras it proved equally punishing. The little pokemon was pelted with rocks, and could not withstand the attack. She slumped to the ground, completely spent, and totally unconscious. "Alright, let's see what Riolu can do here." This was probably a bad idea, but Scottie had a feeling that a few bullet punches would do the trick against the little elephant.
Riolu popped from the pokeball. He was damaged, but not beaten yet. "Bullet Punch Riolu!" He yelled, pointing towards the Phanpy. Riolu sprinted forward, jabbing and hooking swiftly with hands that were enhanced by steel.

The Paralyzation and poison were really beginning to wear out Cre now, the elephantine Pokémon groggily moving to and fro as she tried to fight the poison and the paralyzation, and as the little guy threw his bullet punch she couldn't really dodge it. It was a good thing she was a ground type, and as hard as a rock- because in the end that helped save her. The Elephantine Pokémon simply whimpering for a moment as the pain struck her, and wobbling up until Wade broke the distance between them and dropped to his knees. In no time, he was against her and patting her side, cooing gently in her ear. "Cre- I believe in you. You can do it sweetie, believe in yourself like I believe in you." the trainer even kissed her forehead, before standing up and giving a lopsided, cocky grin out at the younger male, nodding to him and then cracking his knuckles. The doubly hurt little elephant looked easily ten times more determined than she had been before as soon as her master's words had come to her, as soon as that gesture had happened, and she blared a trumpet of challenge, Wade tilting his head. "ROLLOUT!"And the Phanpy was in a ball and rolling at the little mutt Pokémon with the speed of a canon launched from a canon with those words, Cre's determination breaking through the ailments. Roll-Out was obviously a big strain on the weakened Pokemon. Riolu was ready for it too, having watched the exchange between Wade and his pokemon with a moderate grin on his little blue face. He was actually bold enough when the attack actually came though, to hold out his arms and force the roll of Cre to a halt.
He winced as the pokemon grinded against his little arms, but even her friction wasn't enough to break him. Scott was extremely impressed with his little pokemon. "AlrightRiolu! Time for a Quick Attack."
Riolu followed through, dashing away from the Phanpy, and then doubling back to deliver a vicious high-speed kick towards her face.

The reverberation of her own force, combined with the weakness from the paralysis and the poison, made Cre wobble pitifully as Riolu countered her in such a way, the grey-blue elephant like Pokemon sighing pitifully before she was finally hit by the quick attack by Scott's puppy Pokemon, Riolu. As the little ground type hit the ground, she sent dust flying and from the deep snoring that came soon after it was clear only one thing could be true of the current moment. Cre had been fainted. Without a word, and with a gentle smile, Wade pulled out her Pokeball and returned his little earthshaker, nodding to Scott. "Good job, buddy." he remarked, before reaching into his Pokebelt and pulling out his next Pokemon. "Let's show 'em what we got, Scuttlebutt." As the Beedrill fluttered onto the battlefield, it cocked its head at the little puppy, waiting for commands from his trainer- and they came soon after. "Hit 'em with a Fury Attack, Scuttlebutt!" And with that the poison bee began to flicker towards the puppy, throwing it's stingers forward in a quick flurry. +2 Levels to Riolu for Fainting Phanpy.+1 [Each] Level to Paras and to Spearow for helping faint Phanpy.+1 Level to Phanpy for fainting.Name: Scuttlebutt [Beedrill] Gender: Male Level: 10.5 Met: Hatched from Egg [Pre-Adventure] Attacks: Poison Sting, String Shot, Harden, Fury Attack Species name: Hairy Bug Pokémon Type: Bug/Poison Personality: Quirky - Scuttlebutt was born in captivity, and showered with affection and belief in it from the time it was hatched. Beedrill was the one that Scott had been fearing having to fight most. Riolu was a trooper, but this thing looked seriously vicious, and the attack that came with those long poisonous needles looked like it was about to knock the poor little fella senseless and by all rights should have.
By the grace of the pokegods though, Riolu hung on. That Focus Band on his head wasn't just for show. Looking down and out, covered in scratches, he stood up from the assault and readied himself for one last attack.
Scott dug into his pocket out of frustration and inside, he found a small candy. "Hm... weird. Come here Riolu, maybe this will help you win the fight buddy." He commanded and the weakened pokemon hobbled toward his trainer and ate it. Gaining some benefit from the candy, obviously.
"Alright Riolu, Blaze Kick!" Noah yelled, pointing toward the Beedrill, he was full of excitement now, and ready to see what Riolu could do against him.
Riolu charged off, though not nearly as fast as before. His foot ignited hot, and he pulled off a vaguely Chuck Norris round-house kick towards Scuttlebutt, who was much larger than he.

A fire type attack. Big ass bad news for a bug type Pokemon, and didn't Wade know it. Somewhere in the back of his head- he head worries that once again Scuttlebutt would be struck down by an attack that simply outclassed his fragile type, the icy blue eyed young man narrowed his eyes in worry for the Pokémon that was his first pokemon, the pocket monster he had bonded with the absolute most. And as Wade had his own crisis of conscious over this battle, this strike- putting his Beedrill in such a situation, Scuttlebutt had his own lapse of thought, his own instinctual and memory filled fear- brought back from battles where he had been scorched repeatedly... battles where Wade was always there to pick him up no matter if he won or loss. Battles where the dark haired boy was calling a cheer for his derpy little bug, who had been too small for his species at first and even now wasn't particularly fearsome. The Bee could not help but remember Wade telling him how much he believed in him. He could not help remembering how they had agreed to become world famous, to get revenge for their losses- when the Weedle was nothing but a newborn. Scuttlebutt narrowed his eyes, tightened his posture. He was no coward, he was no prey. He was a warrior and he would defend his friends, he would not lose here or anywhere else where he could help it. "Bzzzz..." it buzzed, words that were more to itself than anyone else, 'I am not afraid...' And when Riolu's blaze kick finally closed in, the Bee swiped with it's right stinger, taking the full brunt of the force and feeling the heat from behind it, but standing his ground. Bending, but not breaking. Without even a word from Wade, it reared back and threw it's left stinger forward with a Poison Sting. Riolu took the hit, and was rendered finally out of commission. Scottie was severely impressed with the little fighting type. This was the first time he'd used him in battle, and it was rather amazing how well he'd handled himself against tough opponents.
Scott returned the wounded creature to the pokeball and smiled at Wade. "Come on man, let's go get these guys to a pokemon center. They won't appreciate being left all beat up like this." He said to his new friend as he turned to leave the courtyard.
"So what's your reason for starting to train pokemon?" He asked, resting his arms behind his head as he walked, occasionally looking over to Wade, making sure he was still following him, and that he was not alone.

That hit was one to shatter the heavens, in another dimension eight ninjas were gawking. Despite this, Scuttlebutt kept his cool, and forgot his strange sunglasses in his Pokeball. As he huffed slightly, Wade recalled him to his Pokeball, and things moved at normal- not climatic battle scene pace. With a roll of his shoulders, Wade nodded- striding over to Scott with an outstretched hand. If the young man shook it or not was no concern to Wade, it was a mark of respect for Scott as he did it. Wade's steps were quick, this kid definitely had potential to be a great trainer- he didn't even forget the important things within training Pokemon. As the inevitable question came up- he answered with the truth. Not because he was cocky or did not know the danger, but because he was not a liar. "It's a long story, really... to become stronger and to never be weak enough to let myself or anyone I care about get hurt again... at least that's what it was at first." he flashed a stupid look. "Now I've expanded it to protecting those who can't protect themselves, too."+2 Levels for Scuttlebutt for fainting Riolu.+1 Level for Baloo for helping Faint Riolu.+1 level to Riolu for fainting.

Scott shook the older boy's hand as they walked, before letting his arm drop back down at it's side. The weather was brisk out and with the heat and distraction of the battle winding down, the blonde youth was looking forward to sitting around in a warm Pokémon center for awhile.
"That's noble of you." Scottie replied, as he twisted his back-pack around to reach inside, and pull out a rather large Pokémon egg. "Hm... it got kinda cold while I was battling. That's no good." He mumbled, looking up at Wade. "You ever hatched one of these before?"

Wade nodded gently as they walked, and as Scott remarked as he did- the dark haired young man's icy blue eyes narrowing as he thought things to himself, before asking the same question to Grey that Grey had asked him, "How about you? Why did you decide to be a Pokemon trainer...?" and as they entered the Pokemon center and he saw the egg, Wade could only grin and nod, "That little bruiser Baloo...? I hatched him from an egg... my Lillipup, Setanta, too... and several other pokemon as well."
In fact, as they got to the center and Wade presented his Pokeballs to let his Pokemon get healed, he went to the PC as well, and withdrew a Pokemon simply to help with their current situation- depositing Setanta simply because he didn't need the puppy for any missions right now. Instead he withdrew his Magby, Aed- and he grinned to Scott before tossing the Magby out and pointing at the egg, to which Aed grinned stupidly and strode forward to.
"Meet my gender confused little spaceheater, Aed."

Scott looked down curiously at the red baby pokemon that was olding it's hands out expectantly. "Well... okay." He mumbled, handing off the egg to the Magby, still looking a little confused."Oh, I became a pokemon trainer because it's what my father did, and he gave me a pokemon. After that it seemed like the thing to do. I like pokemon enough that it's fun, and at least I'm not doing some boring job." That was Scottie's logic on the whole thing anyway. It wasn't a horrible lifestyle choice, though it did involve a lot of walking and sleeping on the ground.
Scott strode up to the nurse and handed off the pokeballs filled with fainted pokemon, and then took a seat next to the little Magby in the waiting room.

your levels are a fucking mess. read the rules again, they've changed since you last joined.
it's NOT +2 for fainting a pokemon, and you did NOT keep track of the level differences. (( also the whole battle was so full of bull but wtv that's not the point of the post.))

[ooc; So Grey, we'll assume that you're not hatching that egg- given the fact you traded it off? ]Wade nodded gently to the response of Scott as the youth sat there, waiting for his Pokemon to be tended- and looking across the way at Scott and his Magby, as well as the Pokemon egg the two were dealing with. The young man from Staunchriver simply smiled in response, moving to sit down beside them and pat the egg gently, locking his eyes upon his new friend. The words that Scott had told him were words that were like so many other Pokemon trainers out there- the same thing that he himself had once thought, before everything else happened.
