Full Name: Zacariah Duranté
Gender: Male
Age: 17
D.O.B: March 1st
Appearance: Zacariah is a short young man, standing at a simple 5’3. The pale boy has rather average length dark brown hair, which he keeps at about ear length. His hair is often messy however, and it isn’t uncommon for random bits of hair to be sticking up in the air, or his bangs to be messily covering at least part of his emerald green eyes.
As an energetic individual Zac likes to have a lot of manoeuvrability. Being able to jump, roll, clap, dance, basically anything involving movement, is essential to him. Due to this his clothing consists simply of a loose fitting pair of light blue slacks, and a matching top. Zacariah tends to roll up his pant legs so that they’re knee length, which coupled with the fact his shirt sleeves only reach just slightly passed his elbows, works out quite well. Finishing off his outfit is a thick black belt, on which he keeps the bulk of his items.
Background: Zacariah was born into a family of psychics. His family worked in the circus, constantly travelling around, using their ‘natural abilities’ (and just possibly a little. Help from their psychic pokemon) to amaze crowds all around the world.
Since he was a young boy Zac was taught the tricks of his families trade, and though he found it kind of cool, his heart wasn’t in it. More often than not Zacariah would run off, demanding rides on various pokemon, or to be juggled by the circus’ machamp. Life was just one big party for the boy, and though his parents weren’t very happy he wasn’t pulling his weight, they tolerated, simply glad to see that their son was happy.
Unfortunately for Zac though his parents did not run the circus. The big boss wasn’t too pleased with the fact this boy never practiced or learned his trade, knowing sooner or later that this kid would grow up, and that if he didn’t have some skill, he was just a freeloader and liability.
On his thirteenth birthday the troop leader confronted Zac’s parents, and made his plans clear. Zac had until he was 16 to learn some trade worthwhile to the circus. If by that time he couldn’t prove his worth then his family had two options: kick him out and leave him on his own, or leave with him. Despite this warning, his parents didn’t let him know about it, deciding that they couldn’t put such a heavy burden on their son. Instead they simply pleaded with him and did their best to convince him to keep focused on his studies, which of course was futile.
The day before his 16th birthday Zacariah heard the troop leader talking to his father, in a less than pleased voice. As he listened to the man speak to his father, the truth finally was revealed to him. One last warning for his parents… they were going to lose the lives they loved all because of him!
Teary eyed, Zac knew what he had to do. Gathering up all his belongings, Zacariah ran away from home. No one stopped the boy, many who saw him leaving simply watched, feeling sorry for him, but at the same time unwilling to look out for a freeloader.
For a year Zac travelled alone, doing odd jobs and whatever he could to keep going. It wasn’t an easy life but he was determined to get away from his family, to find a region that they would never visit, where he’d never have to worry about bumping into the circus and put his parents life in danger. Eventually he found his way to Cheyenne Region. Seeing a new place full of adventure, and knowing his parents would never find him here, Zac knew what he had to do. He would become a famous Pokémon trainer, and once he was the best, he would find that circus, and show them he wasn’t the failure they thought he was.
Personality: Zacariah is a very upbeat and fun guy. He is always looking on the bright side of things and faces life with a smile. Zac is very easily distracted however, often skipping from one idea to the next, with little time really thinking about things. As such his tactics in battle are all over the place, though he does seem to be quite good at adapting to things on the go.
Zac is also fairly patient, unless he feels like he has somewhere to go. When he’s in the mood to get going he’s always tapping his foot, moving a leg, taping a desk; anything that’ll help him vent some of his pent up energy. The young trainer also hates to lose, often getting angry and sulking a little when he does. The only thing that Zacariah hates more than losing is people bullying one another, or even worse, their Pokémon. When this kind of trouble pops up Zac always rushes to the forefront and tries to be the hero, even if he’s completely out of his league.
Info: When running around, he extends his arms and makes airplane noises…and pretends he’s flying…>_> <_< >_>;
