Dougie frowned at the Zubat dodging the headbutt but turned to Susumu when he spoke. Go after the Poliwag? Brilliant, why didn't he think of it? Brown eyes back to the battle, the 21 year old flipped his bangs that had fallen in his eyes before getting ready to shout another command. Too bad that supersonic killed it.
Zed's headbutt had missed and with the hit of the odd sound, bouncing off the walls and machines, the poor steel type fell on the ground, not able to catch himself. Pushing himself to a stand it looked highly confused, even more so when a very hard iron head slammed it's side. What was that? Bullet train?
Dougie looked shocked at the appearance of new pokemon but couldn't help but smile at the stealth rock's hits. Good. Good. Turning his attention off the girl, knowing well that she had already chosen sides, and called to Zed. "Headbutt the Poliwag. Don't try and hit the male."
|
He added the second just to make sure the dinosaur didn't smack Cleon's leg. Zed on the other hand couldn't follow through in his confusion. Trying to follow the command, the pokemon charged... And smacked right into one of the machines leaving it sparking rather dangerously and leaving a large dent. Well shit. The Absorb did a lot. Like, an insane amount of damage to the dual Ground and Rock type Pokemon. He cried out in pain as the stabbed Absorb sucked away at his health. Luckily for the Geodude, it was a low powered attack, and he was at a pretty high level. Everything else was screamed 'bad' and 'unfair' to him. "New arrival? Sounds good." Susumu winced from the chair, failing in his attempt to stand up. He didn't think he broke his foot, but it hurt. Like, an insane amount. 'Fractured' would've been a much more likely situation. "Ken, hang in there buddy. Rock Polish first. Yama, Harden." He commanded, knowing that stats were the only things that mattered. As the Pineco bulked himself up even more, the Geodude began to furiously spin around and around, making his body looser and more able to dodge and make attacks. The two Pokemon looked ready to make attacks, even if Ken was likely to be taken down pretty soon. "Tackle the bone thing. Rock Throw the turtle thing." He called, having absolutely no idea what those things were. A Pokedex would've been lovely, but at this point, names didn't matter. As long as his Pokemon understood who he meant, it worked out in the end. The Pineco finally got back into action and aimed a Tackle at the Cubone. The Geodude slammed his fists into the ground, making the tiled floor crack open. Digging his hands into the earth, he then tossed some rocks at the 'turtle thing', as his trainer so cleverly put it.

At hearing the suggestion of attacking Target, Cleon decided it would be best to hold the creature; he was unable to do so, however, before the appearance of a new individual on the scene in the form of yet another of Susumu’s Pokémon. Well, of course. He couldn’t expect such individuals to play fair. Still, he wasn’t attacking, not yet. Cleon was fine, for now. Hopefully.
And then came Sierra. For a moment, Cleon was afraid that the girl would be on the side of the two blonde males, but her quick decision to help him made a grateful smile spread across his otherwise concerned face. He wasn’t in this alone, not by any means. It was a comforting thought.
Prometheus was hit by the Tackle despite his best attempts to dodge, and was thrown backwards by the attack. Chittering angrily at the pinecone-like creature, he did his best to just stay out of reach of any further attack for a moment as Cleon surveyed the situation and pulled his Poliwag out of the way, cradling the creature in his arms. It was cheap, but who the heck cared. Not these guys, that was for sure. Cheap moves were a-okay with them.
And then the sparks began.
Right. Confusing a charging Pokémon in an electrical building was not such a great idea, after all.
”Target, bubble the Geodude. Prometheus, Zen Headbutt the same.” Turning to Sierra, he dipped his head in a quick bow. "Cleon, by the way. Thanks."
From his arms, the Poliwag shot out a stream of bubbles at the rock-type. Prometheus, meanwhile, dropped his angry chitters to dive towards the Geodude.

s i e r r a c a t a l y n n It was a bit disappointing that the two enemies in the room didn't acknowledge her presence enough to verbally troll her. She'd been in the mood for some witty, insulting banter. Luckily for her, though, the man beside her spoke, and by the tone of his voice he identified himself as one of those on her side. Sierra returned the smile toward him and introduced herself as well. "Call me Sierra. Don't mention it." She said with a wink.
Turning back to the battle at hand, her face paled when she saw the gigantic rock hurtling straight for her Turtwig. Not only was it huge, but it was also ABNORMALLY FAST. She couldn't even open her mouth to tell Stimpy to dodge. The boulder hit him upside the head, knocking the poor turtle over. Meanwhile, the pinecone creature had rammed his solid body into Cubone's, jarring her backwards. Determination showing in her eyes, she ignored the pain of the hit and ran to her teammate to right him up. Stimpy's eyes glittered with appreciation at her for a brief moment, but turned back to the battle swiftly. They couldn't afford to lose a minute of this important battle.
"Terra, Bone Rush on the 'blue one'; Stimpy, absorb again on the gray one." She commanded, a hint of a taunt in her tone as she reflected Susumu's way of names. Adding to the tease, she stuck out her tongue at him in a playful manner. After all, why not have some fun with these teens while she was there? They all looked young and handsome to her. Well, maybe not Dougie, such an old fart. i'm kidding don't hurt me :C
Her two pokemon complied, the bone-bearing dino quickly flinging bone projectiles at the Pineco while Turtwig lashed his vines out at the well-polished Geodude, intending to leech even more of his life.

Dougie eyed the sparking machine with a bit of worry, hoping that it didn't blow up with them right next to it. Pass on that idea. Brown eyes changed targets to his confused pokemon who seemed to have been ignored. Good, less to deal with. "Zed, calm yourself. Find the target as clearly as you can get it and then move. Think first."
|
He called out in hopes that it would somehow reach to confused pokemon. "Now, headbutt the green turtle thing, as he so nicely put it." He just stole Susumu's nickname, gasp.Zed took a deep breath and gazed around for the green item that Dougie seemed to have hinted at. Eyes setting on it, the dinosaur charged at it, head downing itself in preparation. What was the battle like? 3v4? Hmm. Dougie pulled out another pokeball and rolled it between his fingers, unsure if he should throw it out yet or not. Nodding to himself he enlarged the ball and tossed it before catching the empty sphere after. Out from the ball was a... Azurill. Oh how manly. Ignoring any comments anyone in the room had with it if they said anything he called out another command, for Hannah to use tail whip on the bone pokemon. Since that attack didn't physically hurt anyone directly the female baby pokemon seemed to be alright with participating for now. Turning sideways she started shaking her tail distractingly. While she wasn't a big fighter she could help with status moves... Some. [/div][/blockquote][atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellspacing,0,true][atrb=cellpadding,0,true]

Susumu looked at Sierra curiously, as if unable to figure out what she was talking about. Blue thing? Did she not know that there were two blue things out here-- oh hell no. Was she making fun of him? Even worse, Dougie started commenting on it. He mentally slapped himself in the face, feeling guilty for not knowing their names. "Haha. You guys are all so clever. Pick on the guy that knows shit about names." He scoffed with a red blush, out of embarrassment obviously, and rolled his eyes. He didn't understand why there was such an overdose of attacks on Ken, but there sure were. He only had one solution for a situation like this, and it was the cheapest one he could offer. "Yamato. Protect in front of Ken." He commanded, wondering if the pair would react in time. Seeing that Yamato was about as slow as a ball of jelly going down a hill, the speedy Geodude simply dashed right over to the Pineco, appearing right behind him. Yamato himself was shocked at the speed, for a rock that is, but then began to Protect Ken from a majority of the attacks. "Hell. At least I know what a Zubat is. Rock Throw it, Ken." He ordered, a bit glad that the pair of trainers were only focused on his Pokemon. Their mistake, really. From the Protection of Yamato's hard shell, who was grunting at each blow, Ken started tossing rocks at the Zubat in hopes of knocking it low to the ground.

Cleon spared a grin for Sierra as she gave her own introduction, then proceeded to playfully mock the other trainers. She certainly was a cheerful girl, even in this situation. It was a nice break from dealing with just Susumu and Dougie.
Prometheus was hit by the Rock Throw dead on, and plummeted to the ground underneath one of the larger stones. He managed to avoid being crushed against the ground, however, and fluttered weakly higher into the air. ”Theus, Zen Headbutt the Cranidos while you’re down there!” Cleon called out, incredibly concerned for his partner. Would he last much longer? He nudged the Poliwag in his arms. ”Send out a bubble attack at the Cranidos, as well. Distract it, please?” The small creature complied, firing out a stream of bubbles towards the rampaging creature while the Zubat shot towards its body.

s i e r r a c a t a l y n n Sierra passed a playful grin towards Susumu, seeing his embarrassed blush, but then turned back to focus on the battle at hand. She was displeased that both of her pokemon's attacks had been merely deflected, but she supposed it was her fault anyway.
Stimpy's speed was no match for the more agile Cranidos, his spiked crown causing much agony as it dug into his side. The collision sent Stimpy a little distance away, but luckily for him his stamina was a high point. He didn't lay on the floor a moment longer, pushing himself up with his bulky paws.
Terra wasn't much of a sucker for adorable things but this... this was too much. Hannah's sad, rejected little face, along with a pitiful little tail wag, wooed the normally tough fighter over, and she wouldn't have been able to forgive herself if she hadn't lowered her strength just for that Azurill's sake.
"Stimpy, Absorb on Cranidos! Terra, Tailwhip and Ironhead the same." She ordered. It seemed like the odds were against she and Cleon, and they probably were; she'd come in late to the battle and his zubat was likely weakening. No problem; she had more pokemon to spare, in that case.
Stimpy carried out her orders, standing inside of a clear berth and launching thick, green vines towards the specified target. Meanwhile, Terra attempted to distract the Cranidos by shaking her tail side to side, as if to taunt him; then, when the time came, she ducked her head and beat the floor under her with strong hind legs, closing the distance between her and Zed.

Dougie couldn't help but smile at Shamu. It was so much fun to irritate people sometimes, even if you were on the same side. He was pretty unbiased when it came to that department at least. Cracking his knuckles (more as a habit then a sign of "getting serious"), the blond twenty one year old watched the out comes of his pokemon's attacks. Zed hit the turtle rather nicely despite being confused and it seemed that Hannah's tail whip worked also though how well was a bit more confusing to tell.
Zed however only managed to complete the headbutt when the next round of attacks already started. There was no way in it's confusion to be able to dodge all the attacks. The zen headbutt smacked him right on the side, the bubble full in the face, the tail whip was just in his vision and too be honest, the hazy image through the confusion looked like a Diglett above ground, quite scary. Then lastly there were the absorb and ironhead. With two super effective attacks the dinosaur fell to the ground fainted.
Hannah was hit by nothing but seeing everything that was happening she froze, unsure what to do. Glancing up at Dougie's face calmed her some thought. Despite the fact that his other pokemon fainted, he returned it and had a rather large smile on his face. Oh no. The "Sonders's Smile".
"Hannah, tail whip on the turtle then slam."
|
Hannah, though scared beyond her wits nodded and stepped slightly more forward before shaking her ball of a tail. Slowly, probably giving too much time for the other pokemon to have time to dodge, she slip back into her launch position and sprang into the "glomp/hug" attack. "Dude...you aren't out of Pokemon, are ya?" Susumu stared as the Cranidos was taken out by the next double assault of attacks by Sierra and Cleon. That was their idea, right? Take one Pokemon out at a time, hoping to overwhelm them individually? Now this wasn't good, especially when they were outnumbered and at a disadvantage. "Bah. No helping it, I guess. Madatsubomi, even it out a bit." He grumbled, taking out the Bellsprout's Pokeball and tossing it onto the field. As the Pineco and Geodude were taking a brief breather after using their previous attacks, a new ally popped onto the field, except closer to the Azurill. <Wow, hey, this looks like fun. A free-for-all, huh? Maybe a bit too wild for my tastes, but...> The Bellsprout rambled, putting a leaf to her lips as if she was thinking hard about the situation. Ken and Yama only exchanged looks, this being their first encounter with the new team member. "Boost yourself up, guys. Rock Polish. Harden. Growth." Susumu noted, knowing that his rock type would be the first to go in this match. He would be good bait for the time being, at least. If they could catch him. The three Pokemon used their moves in order, with a lot of growing, spinning, and shininess involved in the mix of attacks. Susumu's eyes were constantly locked on that annoying Poliwag, wondering why the damn trainer had to hold him. "Yama, Bo-Bo. Tackle and Vine Whip on the bone user. Ken, help out Hannah." He was just lucky enough to hear the Azurill's name, and saying 'the blue thingie' would've brought on confusion. The Pokemon, though slightly confused in all of the chaos, at least had some sense of direction in this battle. The Pineco hopped towards the Cubone with his bulky body, trying to tackle her. Ken, the Geodude, used his newfound speed to keep up with the Azurill, trying to land a Mega Punch on Stimpy at the same time she attacked. Bo-Bo was slightly farther away from the Cubone, so her attack would've been slightly delayed. Still, she tried lashing out her vines at the Cubone in hopes of hitting her.

Seeing the dinosaur go down lightened Cleon’s heart significantly. Though there could be replacements sent out for the beast, it certainly was the most ferocious-looking Pokémon on the field. Almost anything would be less stressful than having that stampeding around. And, indeed, as a Bellsprout was sent out by Susumu -- Dougie must be out of Pokemon, thank goodness -- Cleon was pleased to note that it was not at all intimidating. Level and strength aside, that made the situation a bit more reasonable to handle.
Cleon couldn’t help but notice Susumu’s eyes glaring at his Poliwag. He was quite aware of the fact that holding a Pokémon in battle was cheap. The Team Death members hadn't even tried to attack the Pokémon while he was being held, which showed restraint on their part which Cleon wanted to admire. But, as he’d already told himself, the two males had already proven themselves to show little regard for others. So, still holding the tadpole in her arms, he grinned cheekily at Susumu. ”Target, bubble the Geodude. ‘Theus? If you can handle it, Zen Headbutt on the pinecone.” He had intended to consolidate attacks onto one target, but head butting a rock whilst already weak just did not seem like a good idea to Cleon.
His Pokémon set to work immediately; Target shot out a stream of bubbles towards the Geodude, following him as/if he moved in an attempt to keep up with the speedy rock. Prometheus let out a few rapid squeaks of agreement before zooming over towards Yamato. The Pineco hadn’t been attacked in a while, and his defense was raised, but it was time to pay him another visit. He spiraled down towards him, head first.

s i e r r a c a t a l y n n Sierra was pleased to see one of their opponents' pokemon go down, but this decreased a little once Susumu sent out another. Oh well - at least they weren't being unfair. Now her pokemon were targetted by all attacks, and she had to think quickly to fix the situation.
Stimpy, entirely focused on the battle, hardly batted an eye at the Tail Whip sent at him by the Azurill. However, the Slam hit him hard in the side. He stood up, shaking his head, completely vulnerable to the fist of Susu's Geodude. "Stimpy, dodge!" Sierra cried out. Unfortunately, that Geodude was moving incredibly fast. His attack hit before Turtwig even registered Sierra's command. Sighing, Sierra, commanded, "Stimpy, Withdraw, then Absorb on Geodude." The Turtwig, scared that he'd dissapointed Sierra, moved quickly to take advantage of Geodude's closeness. Vines sprouted from beneath his shell, launching towards the rock at speeds that rivaled him.
Terra looked around her with bright eyes and saw that two of the opposing pokemon had targeted her. One, a Pineco, didn't look like much of a threat. However, the bellsprout was of a kind that had posed many problems for her before - grass. Priorities set, she stood her ground and awaited the attacks. Soon, the Pineco thrust his body forward at her; she took the Tackle, feeling the air rush out of her lungs, before sidestepping and ducking to avoid the Bellsprout's lashing vines. The incredible proficiency of her pokemon left Sierra in awe. Taking her chance, she commanded, "Growl and Ironhead on Geodude." Terra locked onto the specified rock type and, hoping he wasn't too fast to hit, hauled her skull-bearing head toward him.

Dougie refrained from rolling his eyes at Shamu's comment, "I'm not out of pokemon. Sometimes however it's best to hold what you have back for a little while to assess the situation and see from a different vantage point."

Watching the proceedings of the battle he could tell something, Hannah wasn't being attacked. She had been out for a bit now and not one pokemon had aimed an attack at her. "Hannah, tail whip and slam with Shamu's pokemon, help them out." He reached into his pocket and pulled out another pokemon and hoped that in the middle of a mass combat maneuver on the Cubone they wouldn't quite notice the new comer. Tossing it into the air a Zombikarp appeared in the ring. "Zombi, tackle the bone pokemon over there." His voice was kept slightly softer in hopes that the surprise might work a bit better. B l a z e F e r r i o firemasterofcheyenne The sound of battle was what led Blaze to the area. He quickly made his way toward Dougie and Susumu, an Arcanine in tow to protect him from stray attacks. A wall of flamethrower soon separated Team Death from the other trainers.
"Dougie, Susumu, we're leaving," he told him. "Give whatever useless Pokémon you are holding hostage up and head to the main room. Syl will get you all out." He left no room for arguments and waited for his commands to be executed. He hated having to give the Pokémon away, especially since he had berated Susumu about the very same thing, but they had to leavenow. Through the wall of flame, he spotted some familiar faces and couldn't help but glare at them one last time before leaving.

At the arrival of Blaze Dougie was both relieved and rather ticked. He hadn't come to help he had told them to fork over the pokemon? What was that about? Have them escape if you wanted them to but take the pokemon with him. What kind of evil deed was giving the pokemon back without a finished fight? However he wasn't one to cross orders that were directly given to him but someone who out ranked him by miles.
Pulling the Diglett's pokemon from his pocket he tossed it at Cleon and through the wall of flames. Pulling out two more pokeballs he returned his own pokemon and jogged over to Blaze. Were they to go to the old safe room or a new one? This seemed to be a rather serious situation if Blaze was having them hand over pokemon freely.
By main room however he guessed the original room and without looking back for Susumu he beat it. Blaze intimidated him much like Syl did. They both had powerful pokemon and he sure didn't want to be on the receiving end of it.

Cleon had no time to properly react to the arrival of yet another member of Team Death, nor could he properly get a good look of the man through the wall of flames that arose from his Arcanine’s fierce muzzle. Luckily, though, he could hear their words. Retreat? Good. Return the Pokemon? Even better. He turned his attention to the fuzzy blob that was Dougie, and couldn’t help but grin at the fellow as he tossed the Pokeball in his direction. After catching it, he took a look at the tag: Thun, Diglett. Alrighty, then. Mission accomplished. Partially.
Pocketing it, he took out the Pokeballs of both his Pokemon and returned them, as well. They needed a break, stat. He looked at Sierra once the Team Death members had fled. ”I don’t know about you, but I don’t think we should follow them. Looks like they’re done.” He gestured to the fire that was only beginning to die down. ”And I don’t know if we can beat a guy with a Pokemon that strong. Back to the Pokemon Center?”

s i e r r a c a t a l y n n Sierra just stared blankly back at Blaze as he left with the two recruits, rather bewildered at what had just happened. So Blaze really was on Team Death's side..
But they'd gotten what they came here for, at least. As Thun was thrown at them, she grinned triumphantly. Cleon began to speak to her as well, prompting her to turn toward him and listen. "Yeah, we have what we needed. I'm guessing." She replied, wondering if the Diglett really was all that they wanted. At the thought of trying to fight Blaze, she laughed. "Yeah, let's not go there. We'd better go. See you later, then?" She said, aiming a parting smile at the boy and turning to run out of the building, which was covered in smothering flames from other battles.
Sierra has left.
