Twizzler had ran past the Pokemon in his Quick Attack and hard started to turn around when the Hoppip attacked. He gave a startled squawk as the attack hit him and he stumbled backwards, shaking his head to clear it.
"Twizz, I want you to use Peck now," Chloe commanded, sounding rather calm compared to how she really felt. She was angry as all get out, but she knew she shouldn't be that angry at the Hoppip. It wasn't anyone's fault.
She would have called off the fight, too, but she wanted to get her Doduo trained up. He wasn't exactly the strongest in her group, and she wanted her team to be as evenly matched as possible.

The Hoppip let out a small giggle that quickly turned into uproarous laughter as the Doduo was struck by her frail body. She may be light as air, but she had some serious power and it was with this thought that she quickly dodged the oncoming Peck attack.
She was at the mercy of the wind, so as a strong gust came by, she blew out of the way of the sharp beaks jabbing at her. Floating in the air, she was blissful, until she touched ground again. Then her ugly mood returned and she let out a fierce glare at the normal type.
She flew at the Doduo and used Splash once again, frustrated that the attack wasn't doing anthing. The water spread in the form of a fine mist, refreshing to all creatures.

Twizzler let out a frustrated squawk. {Why won't you stay still?} he muttered to himself, lowering both heads. One looked left, then right, as if sweeping for any other danger, but the other stayed intent on the Hoppip.
"Calm down, Twizzler. There's nothing to fear here. Just Peck it into oblivion. . . ," Chloe said with a sigh. She had grown tired of being angry at the Hoppip and was now just fighting for the training.
The Doduo gave a might shriek and lunged for the pink puff ball. Both of his beaks were glowing bright white as he got ready for his Flying attack.

The Hoppip giggled, enjoying the fact that her attacks and strategies were working for once in her life. She had always been the clumsy one out of her friends and this time, she could say she beat a trainer with a Doduo...
or at least she thought so....
Hoppip was hit effectively with the peck attack, a blood curling scream rising from her throat as she fell back, scars forming from the sharp beak. Thinking she might make it, Hoppip stood, tried to float but, fell, eyes swirling as she fainted.
You defeated Hoppip! Doduo gains one level! You may capture or move on

Twizzler huffed with satisfaction and nodded victoriously at the Hoppip and then trotted over to his trainer, looking rather concerned: Chloe's face was contorted with pain. "Duo?" he murmured, nudging her gently with one beak.
Chloe looked up and smiled at him, then pat the side of his head gently. "I'm alright, Twizzler. You were great in that battle. Sure showed that Hoppip!" she said encouragingly, using her cane to help her to her feet.
The Doduo examined his trainer then let out a gentle trill. She didn't look at all ok, and he sat down and motioned to his back. {Go on, now! Get on. I can carry you for a while,} he offered.
Sighing, Chloe nodded. It even felt horrible to just stand up with her cane. She limped to her Doduo, then lifted her cane and slipped it between her back and backpack, wedging it there where it would be safe while she didn't use it, then she climbed onto Twizzler's back.
"Alright. Let's get moving. We need to do some more training if we ever plan on winning on that badge," she said, gripping Twizzler's feathers as he started to walk along.

As the two trotted along the route, the day seemed to become more cloudy and the cold wind blew leaves all over the place in small tornadoes. Along this route, trying to train himself against this weather was a small Abra. He had taken the time to sit out here, even though it was freezing cold, windy, cloudy, and now sprinkling in rain. He was one tough Pokemon that loved to train himself hard.

Twizzler twisted one head around to look at the Abra, and it wanted to go forth and talk to it, but the other head wanted to continue forward, in the direction they were headed, which only reslulted in noboy going anywhere.
"Hey what's going on?" Chloe asked irritably, wondering why her Pokemon was pecking at itslef. She looked around and saw the little Abra training and she tapped both heads on their tops. "Hey! Stop fighting and let's go see that Abra!"
With one head looking triumphant and the other head looking dejected, Twizzler headed over to the Abra. Chloe leaned forward to talk to it. "Hey! What're you up to?" she asked. "If you're not too busy, wanna train with me?"

The motionless Abra didn't advert his gaze as the scrabbling heads of the Doduo approached him, nor did the voice of the trainer rouse him. His eyes were permently shut until evolution, and he was still, he refused to interrupt his training session simply to mingle with the team.
So, the golden Pokémon glistened with dew, and even as a fierce gust of freezing rain whipped across the Abra, he didn't budge. He would not stop training until a better oppotuinity came along. He let out a mental sigh, inwardly he was freezing, screaming at himself to warm up and MOVE. His stubborness outweighed his common sense so here he sat, freezing his ass off.
As the trainer approached him, and spoke those words that released him, offering him to train with them. He jumped up instantly, and shivered before leaping all over the place. <Good luck even hitting me!> he said, cackling before Teleporting out of sight. He was perched in a tree a few yards away, jumping up and down and rubbing his arms to warm himself up. The only thing that gave him away were a few leaves jostled loose from the movment of the tree. Although with it being fall that was hardly uncommon.

Chloe started when the Abra randomly jumped up and started to move about. If Twizzler hadn't been quick on his feet, she probably would have fallen off altogether. One of the heads rotated back to look at his trainer.
{Shall I fight him?} the head asked as the other watched the Abra bounce around until it disappeared from sight. Twizzler's head look around frantically, wondering where it had gone.
Shaking her head, Chloe took out another Pokeball. "Nah. I'll let Marcee handle this one," she said tossing the ball into the air. In a flash of white light, the Mareep appeared, looking around. Alright! It was time to prove her worth to her new trainer!
"Find out where our opponent went. It's an Abra, so you're going to have to be quick," Chloe said. "When you locate him, I want you to use Water Gun, ok?"
Marcee nodded eagerly. {Whatever you say, Chloe! I'll do this no problem!} she said happily, turning around and putting on her concentrating face. Her ears twitched slightly as she listened for any sounds that seemed out of place, but only heard the rustle of leaves and forest sounds.
No! I must find the Abra and prove to Chloe that I'm a good Pokemon! she thought to herself, straining to hear anything. . . Anything at all!
There was a movement to her side, and even though she wasn't sure it was the Abra, she shot a jet of water into the tree, using Water Gun as Chloe had asked.

Abra shut his eyes, concentrating on his evolution, trying hard to train himself but, now he was fed up with this trainer. In a blink of an eye, Abra used teleport again onto the ground, a smirk on his face as he enjoyed his game.

Marill gave a cry of fright as the Abra appeared on the ground and immediately blasted a full-power Water Gun attack at it. Being startled was never fun, and she normally attacked first rather than ran away.
Chloe sighed. This Abra was going to be a pain in the neck to beat. All it knew was probably Teleport, so it would just be dodging all day long. At least, that is, until it ran out energy to use that attack. . .
Twizzler's two heads glanced at each other. Maybe they should move on and fight a different Pokemon. . . This one be a little tough. . . Then again, that would be like quitting, would it not?

Marcee turned toward the Abra, looking quite upset and frustrated. {Is that all you can do you worthless Pokemon? Stand still!} she declared, shooting another jet of water at her opponent.
Chloe sighed. This battle was going to go nowhere fast. She thought that maybe she should just quit while she was ahead and walk away from the fight. It would only end in frustration and probably Marcee collapsing from exhaustion.

The Abra burst out laughing at the Marill’s command, mostly at how cute she sounded while saying it. Her threat didn’t scare him in the slightest, and while wiping his eyes as if there were tears dripping down from them, he teleported away from the Water Gun.
This time, however, he ended up teleporting with his back facing the Marill, a mere inch away from her mouth. Apparently, he was mocking her with her horrible aim. It was easy to take offense to such a simple act, but in reality, he had no idea where he teleported himself too. He hadn’t really concentrated on that last Teleport, and it sent him in a completely random spot.
<Eh? Eh? Where’s Blue?> He asked with a tilted head, having no idea of the danger he was in.

Marcee let out a fearful squeal as the Abra appeared directly in front of her. Without thinking, she stumbled back half a step and let loose with a pressurized jet of water. {Where did you come from?!} she declared frightfully.
Chloe put her head in her hand and shook it, sighing heavily. Her little Marill was quite skiddish, but at least it wasn't a hindrance. At least it was going to come in good. . . Well, at least it was right then. Maybe the next time they were in a battle she would just cower like a frightful little mouse. . .
Ah, well. Only time would tell.

The Abra had no time to react and was sent flying with a powerful jet of water into his back. Slamming it's face into a tree the was close by he teleported to get out of range of the Marill. It appeared behind Chloe and held it's breath. Good thing he was training. He had horrible aim! <Now now, pay attention to your opponent or they might just take something you love> The wild pokemon grinned as it threatened to teleport with the trainer. Let's see how this goes with pressure. uses teleport.

Chloe blinked and looked down. The Abra was now standing there next to her, and she blinked with surprise. "Oh, my! Hello, there. . . ," she muttered, fighting the urge to thwack the Pokemon with her cane. That wouldn't really be too nice.
Marill whipped around and gasped. {You wouldn't dare take my trainer! Besides, it doesn't seem like you'd be able to take her very far!} she whined, glaring at the Abra. {This is between you and me!}
Sighing, Chloe leaned away from the Abra and took a labored step. "Yeah. . . Could you refrain from kidnapping me? I'm sure my other Pokemon wouldn't like it very much if we appeared someone other than this place. Might just eat you or something." She was bluffing, of course. . .

The Abra smirked, ignoring the words of both the Pokemon and the trainer. "Now you see us..." Abra smiled, touching the trainer while using teleport, making both the Abra and the Trainer appear in a near by tree. "Now you don't." Abra laughed, sitting down to relax from his game. Being pretty high up in the tree, he didn't expect a attack.

Chloe gave a curt shreik as she appeared in the tree. She teetered for an instant, realizing that her cane was virtually useless on the thin branch, and she clutched at the trunk, shivering from fright.
"What the hell! What the hell what the hell what the hell!" she screeched, moving all her weight off her bad leg. She squealed as she dropped the cane and continued to shake like a leaf.
Marcee bounded over to the tree and looked up, dancing out of the way as the cane nearly clocked her head. {Hey! You let my trainer down from there! It's not safe for her up there!} Marcee declared. She positioned herself, took careful aim, then blasted a Water Gun at the Abra.
She figured that the Pokemon might need some incentive to free her trainer from the tree, but there was also a good chance the Abra would leave her trainer there. That was chance she was willing to take, though.
Meanwhile, Chloe tried to decide what to do. Call out another one of her Pokemon to help? Gah. . . But which ones would be the best choices? Oh how annoying. . . Maybe Twizzler, but he was so big and the branch was so small. . .

The Abra hadn’t quite expected the Water Gun to actually hit him, especially when he was so close to the Marill’s precious trainer. He would have thought that such a risk was too great to have been taken, but apparently he was wrong this time around. It threw him straight out of the tree, and knocked him onto the ground with a heavy thud.
All he could see were stars after that, and he remained unaware of the world around him. He was dazed and confused, and most likely, in a fainted condition. Just because he wasn’t unconscious didn’t mean that he didn’t ‘faint’.
Marill gains a level. But oh dear. That doesn’t exactly help you out with your ‘tree’ situation, does it?
