"Ug. Spark again, faster this time!" Alex groaned as Ty weakly stood up after the embers singed his fur.
Winceing, Ty raised himself to all his paws. He was already damaged from the battle with the Pidgey, and the attacks weren't exactly pleasing to him. With a sigh he quickly charged the Growlithe, electricity flying from his body toward the foe.

Vio charged the shinx himself, ready for a clash with his double-edge attack. His body glowed with his efforts again, and this time he didn't trip and fall. Every movement hurt, however, and a small part of his health was taken with each step. This battle would soon be over, probably.
<Hiyah!>

Alex cringed.
Ty collided directly with the fire-type, and he was thrown backwards by the impact. Slideing on his stomach over the rough surface of the ground he came to a slow halt by Alex's feet, and with eyes closed from the pain, he struggled to push himself to his wobbly paws.

Vio lay panting on the ground, and he stared at Ty blankly. Finally, he shuddered, and rose to his paws shakily. He charged the shinx again with a thrash attack, his final defense. But before he could reach the pokemon, he fell to the ground. Vio had fainted.
TY GAINS ONE LEVEL Catch him or move on? ((Yes, this is my character, not just some wild pokemon, so I'll continue to play him. he's only level 5 though.))

Alex smiled. He reached into his backpack to take out an empty poke'ball. He then tossed it with an exited grin at the Growlithe's still body, watching as the light enveloped the pokemon.
He then returned his Shinx, who was lying on the ground, his breath heavy from exaustion.

Vio put up no fight as he was caught, but the ball did wobble back on forth. The growlithe slumbered neatly inside, regaining his strength. Level 5 Bite, Roar, Ember, Thrash, Double-Edge Male (You can put played by Lyra next to him when you put him on your PC. Please?)

Ooc: Sure! =)
Ic: Alex smiled. He picked up the pokeball and dropped it into his backpack. An exited rush filled him with joy, he was incredibly enthusiastic about his recent sucess. He then sat down with a heavy sigh and tilted his head toward the clouds, gazing into the heavens above. After a few moments of rest, he raised himself to his feet and continued along the path to Route Two.

As Vio slumbered in the pokeball, red eyes watched from the bushes. Flames exploded from behind them as a houndour leaped out into the open with an ember attack. It was a sneak attack! This houndour was one of Vio's local friends and had been watching the entire time.
It launched more flames, not at the shinx, but at Alex. It never blamed pokemon for their trainers. Then it raced towards Alex, hoping to knock him over and steal the backpack.
((How about it steals it and they have to chase and battle it to get it back, or at least have Vio convince it to?))

Ooc: Sounds fun! ^^
Ic: "What the he--" Alex gaped as the pokemon's flames reached him. He attempted to dodge them but couldn't, and the embers scorched edges of his attire. Before he had time to react to the vicous heat, the Houndour's strong paws knocked Alex backwards to the sandy earth. His still open backpack flung from his hands, and the pokeballs and items scattered around them. "Today has gone so strangely. " He thought, scrambling backward to get away from the fire-dark type. He was unaware of the pokemon's intentions and it didn't occur to him to make a rush out of grabbing his things quickly.

The houndour grabbed all the pokeballs and shoved them inside the backpack, and began to run as fast as it could with the straps in its mouth. The pidgey's ball fell out and onto the ground, and the houndour failed to notice. It hid behind a bush and examined the pokeball, to figure out how to release his friend.
<Vioooo....>
It whispered in. The canine poked the red part of the ball, and sighed.

"ARGH!" Alex exclaimed, his eyes widening severly as the canine took off with his pokeballs. He ran after it, reaching down to pick up his newly captured Pidgey's pokeball. After a while of running he slowed down, panting with his hands resting on his knees.
Alex tossed the pokeball onto the ground, and the flying type emerged from the crimison light. It made a soft cry and swirled around his new trainer. Alex gazed at it, then cleared his throat.
"I want you to search the area for a Houndour, it ran off with my backpack and pokeballs. And hurry!" Alex commanded, and he muttered a string of frantic, nervous curses beneath his breath while the Pidgey flew off.
The little pokemon began soaring a few feet above the ground, his little black eyes flickering over everything in search of the Houndour..

The houndour noticed a shadow. It looked up, and saw the pidgey circling around. It swore, and began rolling the pokeball further into the bush. But it had no time to hide, it was easy to spot, and the bookbag with its toothmarks in it was also easy.
The houndour just grabbed the pokeball, hid it in the bush, and shot some more flames at the circling pidgey. Unfortunately, its teeth pushed the button and Vio appeared in a flash.
<I am a genius!>
The houndour yelled. Vio scratched his ear.
<What now>
<You've been BRAINWASHED.>

The Pidgey let out an astonished cry and dived at the direction the flames had come from, his claws extended threatingly. <NO ONE randomly burns me, biotch!> He screeched.
Alex heard the sounds of his annoyed bird pokemon, and immediantly he sprinted toward the voice. His heart pounded immensely within his chest, sweat staining the black cloth that covered it.
He stopped where he saw his Pidgey, and his breath caught. He ran to the bushes, intimidated by the Houndour's teeth, yet still intent on grabbing the pack beside the Pokémon.
Ooc: I just realized the Pidgey is a girl. LOLZERS. Ignore the "hes". xD;;

The houndour growled as Alex got closer, and bared his teeth in a snarl. The canid lunged, only to be stopped by Vio.
<Stop! You're brainwashed!>
<What the freak!? I am NOT brainwashed!>
The houndour turned and clamped down on Vio's tail hard. The growlithe growled, and began to thrash about. The houndour was hit 3 times in the head, and was knocked unconscious. It awoke just as Vio went over to Alex, and lunged again.
Vio waited for his new trainer to give him an order.

Shocked by his own flurry of confusion, Alex paused a moment before regaining his senses. His Pidgey flew back and landed on his shoulder. She pecked at his ear hastily, reminding him what he was supposed to do.
"Vio, use bite!" He commanded, clenching his fists.

Vio lunched at the the houndour, biting down upon its one ear. It starec at him as if he was crazy, and easily shook him off. Being a dark type himself, it didn't do that much damage. Vio landed on his feet on the ground and growled at it. They stared opposingly at each other, the houndour waiting for the next move.

Alex grumbled, remembering regretablely that Bite was a dark type attack. He mentally reveiwed Vio's attacks in his head, remembering slowly the strong attack that he had used.
"Double-edge!" He called, hoping that the attack wouldn't strike with too much recoil.

The growlithe leapt for the houndour right as Alex called the attack, glowing once more. He struck the houndour, and the dark pokemon fell to the ground. It was tired from the running and the biute attack had still done some damage, though not much. It stood to its paws and howled angrily, then lunged at Vio. He clamped onto the tail again, and without waiting Vio began to thrash about, kicking the pokemon in the face.
But the pokemon wouldn't let go... Because it had fainted during the wailing it had recieved. Vio did not stop his attack though, and eventually began hurting himself in the process. The growlithe was confused from fatigue.

"Vio, calm down, are you alright?" Concerned, Alex jogged toward the two pokemon and knelt by his Growlithe. His worried expression was quite rare for him, yet the amount of loyalty that the fire pokemon had demonstrated deeply touched Alex.
His Pidgey began fidgeting again, and pulled her beak around his ear in a frustrated motion.
"Ah.. yeah." Alex grabbed his backpack and the pokeballs, counting every item to make sure that they were all there. He then turned to the confused Vio, wishing he had an item to rid the Growlithe of his confusion. "Do you think we should capture the Houndour?" He asked worriedly, hoping that Vio would be able to reply through his current mental state.

The growlithe didn't answer. He had turned around and wastrying to pry the houndour off of his tail. Fed up, he gave and snapped at it, yanking it off his tail and throwing the pokemon to the ground.
Vio barked softly through his confusion, and then accidentally crossed his eyes. He began to see two Alex's. He snapped at one, hoping that it was the mirage one. Sadly, it wasn't. After the bite, he began to turn and chase his tail until he got dizzy. Finally, he fell to the ground with a thump, and blacked out.
