Ari wleft the gym, and went to see if she could find some more pokemon. She had heard that the pokemon here were stronger that the ones she had seen before. To reward her for the victory, she had let Rocky stay out of her pokeball, and now her and Free were riding on the Onix's back.

The sound of a bell echoed. It was a pleasant sound with a soft chime. In the distance, a tiny grey pokemon floated across the bridge, following the light breeze that came with the river.

Hearing a soft chiming sound, Ari instructed Rocky to head in the direction of it. They could just make out a small pokemon floating across the bridge. "Maybe we can catch out first pokemon now." Ari commented to Free, since they hadn't caught any in route 1. She gave the two rare candies she had just bought to Free, and the pokemon started to glow. Free evolved in a Butterfree.

The chime was melodic and beautiful; the picture of the small gray-white pokemon that floated along the river.
The Chimeco chimed again, ghostly form altered by every breeze.
Do you approach the Chimeco? [/size]

Ari hoped off Rocky and approached the Chimecho. It actually happened to be a pokemon she really wanted. "We should battle it. Free, use Aerial Ace." Ari knew it was a good attack to use, because it couldn't miss. Her newly evolved Butterfree obeyed her instantly.

The Chimeico gave a cry of shock as it was hit. As it tumbled, it gave you a look of hatred. Gathering itself, it used a wrap on Free. <Why are you attacking me? I only want to be left alone!>

Free was caught by Wrap, but Ari had a good idea. "Free, use Psychic, from close range, before it has a chance to escape."

((ROFL. Ari is so cruel. xD))
The Psychic wasn't very affective, since Chimecho was the Psychic type. However, it was enough to send it floating back as it shook it's head confusedly. "Chimecho! Chime!" <Why are you doing this to me?! Leave me alone!> It warned, letting go of Free and floating away to escape from the trainer.

"Free, use Aerial Ace again." Ari was determined to catch this pokemon. It would be her first catch, and Chimecho was one of her favourite pokemon.
(She just really wants the Chimecho, she's not normally cruel!)

Chimecho was knocked down by Aerial Ace. Frustrated and afraid, it turned around and used Confusion. It wanted nothing more to escape.
"Chime Chime Chime..." it whispered softly, 'Please stop coming after me...' Flailing, it tried to regain itself so that it could continue to flee.

"Use Aerial Ace again Free, don't let it get away!" Ari knew she was being a bit cruel, but she really wanted this pokemon. Free used her new, super fast attack on the Chimecho again, before it could get very far away.

The Chimeco, seeming to see that begging would do no good, used a wrap just as the Butterfree shot down, hopefully catching the pokemon before it could inflict too much damage on the softly chiming pokemon.

Free was caught by the Wrap attack, but still managed to use Aerial Ace on the Chimecho. She was slowed a bit, but not stopped. "Free, use Psychic!" She was hoping this battle wouldn't take forever. She really wanted this Chimecho.

The Chimeco took the Aerial Ace, releasing the Butterfree from the wrap. Though the Chimeco was a Psychic type, it took another toll from the Psychic. Chiming angrily, the pokemon began to screech loudly, a move that any human and pokemon alike would have to cover their ears for; Uproar!

Both Air and Free tried to block their ears from the inhuman screeching. Rocky had a bit of difficulty with that, considering that she is an Onix. "Free, use Aerial Ace again!" Ari yelled at her pokemon, hoping she could be heard over the noise. Free tried to execute the attack extremely quickly, so she could get away from that horrible noise again.

As it's Uproar was interrupted by Aerial Ace, Chimecho was sent backwards. Squeeking loudly, it used Uproar a second time with all of the force it could muster as it tried to evade this trainer and her Pokémon. It wanted nothing to do with battling at this point, and tried to win this fight so it could escape. Tired, however, it would surely soon be defeated...

Trying to block out the noise, Ari yelled, "Use Aerial Ace again, since Psychic isn't very effective." Hurt a bit by Uproar, Free managed to pull herself together, and use the super fast attack again.

Finished with exhaustion, Chimecho was pummeled again, this time, to the ground. It rolled over, struggling to regain itself. Eventually, it went unconscious. Perhaps this was the time to attempt a capture.

Ari hugged Free, "Good work Free." She quickly pulled out a pokeball, and threw it as the Chimecho. This was a pokemon she really wanted. The three of them waited with baited breath, for the pokeball to stop moving.

The Pokéball shook many times, and eventually, it broke. Chimecho was very spirited it seemed, but at this rate, there wasn't anything that could stop it from being captured. The next ball would surely do it in.
