Laura smiled with hapiness as she walked down Route two. One Gym Badge; several to go. She felt the competition welling inside of her.
She would need to train Faithe and Fang, next time a blunder like her first may result in a loss.
Being a trainer was hard work. Hm. Quite different than she thought.

On a large rock below, a large pink pokemon seemed to be sunbathing. Either that or sleeping. A smile decorated its face and it rolled... straigth into the water! "Slo!" The pokemon tried to grab onto the rock it was on in vain. "Slooo!!!!" +Help!+

Laura heard a distinct sound, unable to pinprick its whearabouts. Fang kept on walking, cool as you please.
He knew very well a pokemon was in trouble; but did he care? The slopoke was an idiot.
Faithe, however, thought differently. She ran down a side path, quickly calling out to the slopoke. <Grab my tail, quickly!>
Laura, following Faithe, saw the pink pokemon and observed as Faithe appeared to give out orders to it.

"SLO!" The pokemon scrambled, trying to grab it. It took it great effort to do so, for it wasn't that good of swimmer. When he Slowpoke finally did, however, it was so heavy that it started to drag Faithe down as well...

Laura soon joined into the attempt, grabbing onto Faithe as the slowpoke slowly dragged her in.

The slowpoke held onto the Sentret for its dear life. Slowly, it was hoisted onto the bridge. Very grateful, it rubbed itself on the Sentret, thanking her. "Sloo..."

Faithe smiled. <Any time.> the Sentret said, smiling. Fang rolled his eyes.
"Hey there; are you okay?" Laura said, looking up and down the pink pokemon with concern.

The Slowbro smiled at the trainer as well with a rather stupid smile. "Sloooo~" It seemed perfectly fine, if not just a bit wet. It's almost as if it forgot that it almost drowned just a few seconds ago...

<Uhm. Will you be okay on your own?> asked Faithe, Fang hissing his distaste. For the most part, the two females ignored him.

The Slowpoke sleepily shook his head no, then fell asleep without an answer.
Maybe a capture would be a smart move.

Smiling in a confused way, she threw another one of her Pokeballs towards the Slopoke.
"A new addition, and new day..." she murmered as the Slopoke was absorbed in red light.

"A new addition. That makes four now..." she lapsed into silence. "But I suppose only three of you will be fighting. Let's go look for one more pokemon." she said, continueing down the route.

As you walk along, you hear something above. "Win!" a voice calls out, and it is followed by many others. A flock of tiny, blue and white birds flies swiftly overhead. The calls of the Wingulls suddenly change to startled screeches, as an enormous Pelipper flies through the center of the flock, blasting a Water Gun at all the Wingulls around it. One little Wingull lost its balance in flight and started to fall, but the rest of the flock fled, leaving it here. It crashed into a pond near you. +Help!+ it called out, as it tried hard to swim or fly out of the pond. Was it too young to swim?

A Seagull! Not knowing the name for the pokemon, Laura felt a pang of annoyance before fear lept in.
Another water rescue mission?
"Fang, Faithe, let's help out that bird!" cried Laura, running over. The Sentret followed immediately, crying out to the wingull. The Ekans, however, only grudgingly slithered over.
Creating a chain, the Sentret's tail held by the ekans, who was supported by Laura, the Sentret reached out towards the Wingull. "Grab on!" she called, extending one of her tiny paws and giving an inward shiver of the water all around it.

The scared Wingull looked at the Sentret's paw. It thought for a moment on how to latch on, as it had no hands or paws of any kind. It decided to just settle for clamping onto the Sentret's paw as hard as it could with its beak, not wanting to drown.
((XD!))

The Sentret winced in pain, but still held on as the trainer pulled the two pokemon in. After they had reached shore, the Sentret collasped onto the ground and started nursing the beaked paw.

Wingull chirped happily as it was pulled from the water. "Wing, Wingull!" it cried, 'Thank you, thank you!'
It appeared that this Wingull was quite young and not yet an expert of it's water type moves. There were many reasons to believe it wasn't the greatest flyer either; but that would come in training. It nuzzled up against the trainer before hopping away a few steps, shaking as it tried to dry off. Wingull avoided Sentret, afraiding of confronting it about that paw. It wanted to say sorry, but couldn't bring itself to do so because it was afraid.

Laura smiled. "That was rotten luck to fly into the river." she said, refraining from using the word 'crash'.
The Sentret, Faithe, who was a bit more kind on feelings than Fang, looked up at the Wingull. <You have quite a bit, m'friend, but I'd help you any day.> she said good-naturedly.

"Wing, wingull." <Yeah... and thanks.> The bird pokemon said, hanging it's head about the sentret's paw but soon forgetting about it. Then it started to fly away, but soon stopped to ponder it in mid-air. Then it flew back with a few huffs. "Wingull." <Can I join you?>
