Red-head grinned as he strolled into the gym, clutching two pokeballs tightly in one hand. He yawned, golden eyes scanning the gym for any signs of the leader.
"Pathetic," He said darkly, eyes narrowing when he failed to find supposed leader. "The gym leader isn't even in his own gym. What a wimp," Syl took a seat on a nearby bench, cursing to himself about the pathetic state of the gym.

A attractive young woman entered the arena, with no pokeballs in hand. And for a very good reason too. For her pokemon were already released. "Well, are you going to battle, or just sit there and turn to stone?" She said, as her Arcanine and Rapidash stood loyaly beside her, staring at the red haired trainer.

"I'd rather turn to stone than have such worthless pokemon," Eyeing the Arcanine and Rapidash, Syl tossed his own pair of pokeballs. Beating on his chest, Ryuujin roared. Ebony Charizard stood tall.
Landing cautiously next to Jin, Kumori the Salamence eyed opponents warily. Shadow-pokemon sensed danger.
"Both of you, into the air." Trainer spat, combing bony fingers through tangled red hair. "Divebomb those two losers."
With a sick grin, Jin ignored trainer's command, instead loosing a stream of white-hot flames at Arcanine.
More faithful Salamence took to the skies, twisting and wheeling around before obeying Syl's order and lunging for fire-pony.

[Doing this myself since the mods can't be bothered to. XD]
Leaving a faint trail of shadows behind, Salamence's bulky body connected with Rapidash, sending the unicorn flying into the wall. It staggered to it's feet, looking to it's trainer for support.
It's partner Arcanine was faring much better - weak flames rushed passed over it without much effect. It growled, baring razor-sharp teeth at cocky Ryuujin.
Gym leader grinned. "Arcanine, thunder fang! Rapidash, megahorn!" Turning, she seemed to stare through red-haired challenger. "Don't think you can win."
"Bull." Came the grim response. Golden eyes traced the dragons' every move.
Lunging forward, injured Rapidash ran Mori through with it's horn, tearing through one of his wings. Roaring in pain, introverted salamence tried to fly away, only to come crashing down painfully each time. With a wince, shadow-dragon inhaled a deep breath, and fired blue-flames on the exhale. Dragon-breath stopped Rapidash in it's tracks, effectively paralyzing the unicorn.
With no orders from Syl to disobey, Jin was left to his own devices. Shining Charizard finally took to the skies, divebombing Arcanine and swiping at it with sharp claws whenever he got the chance.
[somebody respond now?]

((OMG YOU CAN DO THAT?? -does that every time my gyms goes unanswered now xD- now s'cuse me as I go and kick some mods on the behind for slacking off...))
"Rich, Meet that lizard with a Thunder Fang! Wealth, Fire Spin!"
As the Arcanine ran towards the upcoming Jin, it tried to snap at it with sharp teeth all while attempting to dodge the claws. The latter was unsuccessful and pain seared through the Arcanine's body as it clamped his teeth down at the Charizard...
Unable to move forward from the Dragon Breath, Wealth backed up a bit and sent a fire spin, trapping her foe in a ring of fire. If she was lucky, than that stupid dragon would be trapped in there for a while...

[The only reason I do is because everytime I ask somebody to reply, they either pretend they don't hear me or tell me they're busy. XD I'm pretty sure as long as you don't go AND LYKE SYL TTLY WON BCUZ HES LIEK TEH BEST AND LYK EVBERYBODY BOWED TO HIM LOL GODMOD and make it fair, it really doesn't matter.]
Sparks of electricity flowed through Jin's body, cripping the dragon and causing him to make an emergency landing. He glared angrily at offending Arcanine. Syl unresponsive, charizard took the initiative, lunging forward as fast as his injured form could, and struck Arcanine with his wings. Close range attacks were dangerous, but apparently his trainer didn't have any better ideas.
Nervously, bony fingers flew to back pocket, digging out a cigarette and lighting it. Red-head inhaled noxious smoke, soothing black cloud entering his lungs slowly. For some reason, typically calm trainer was beginning to lose his nerve. Cigarette quivering between thin fingers, Syl's gaze fell upon his Salamence, trapped in a cocoon of flames.
"Protect," Shaky word was a half-whisper, but somehow he knew Kumori was waiting for it. Faithful salamence finally shielded himself from the flames. He'd rather wait for an order and take more damage than dare disobey his trainer.
As the last of the fire-spin rose to the ceiling, charred Kumori finally let his magical sheild down. Panting heavily, Shadow Salamence was in bad shape - burn marks criss-crossed tender flesh, the tough shell of Shelgon turned sensitive since evolution. Every step was calculated, every movement excruciating.
"Now use Headbutt." Trainer took another drag of his cigarette.
Pausing from his assault on Arcanine, purposely ignored Ryuujin watched crossly as favored Kumori struggled to fly forward, still lopsided from earlier attack on his wings. With a growl, Shadow-salamence recklessly tackled paralyzed unicorn.

Arcanine was hit repeatedly, falling back.
"Rapidash, Megahorn!" The Fire-horse ran forward at Ryuujin, horn forward to strike the Dragon. "Now Arcanine, Thunder fang!" The Dog poke'mon ran up behind Rapidash, fangs sparking, ready to bite Ryuujin right after Rapidash used Megahorn.
Focus on one poke'mon and make it fall...
((Meh, dead muse.))

Distracted, Jin didn't hear the clamor of hooves until it was too late. Mighty horn pierced his chest, freezing shining charizard in place. The shock washed over him, numbing the surges of pain radiating from gaping wound. Drops of blood seeped out, collecting below him in a crimson puddle.
In a daze, he slashed frantically at anything he saw, the closest target being Rapidash. Razor-sharp claws caught tender flesh on occasion, but most of his wild slashing was worthless.
"Mori... Help him out." The situation was getting tough. Something had to be done soon. This battle was different. Syl didn't have a clue of what to do.
Luckily, his pokemon weren't idiots. Bulky Salamence, however burned he was, lumbered to Jin's side. Dodging Charizard's claws was no easy task, and claws tore into Mori a number of times, but dragon ignored the pain. He inhaled again, unleashing another dragonbreath at rapidly approaching Arcanine.
Shakily, Syl's hand flew to another pokeball, just in case something were to happen to Jin or Mori.

Although he was swinging wildly, the charizard succeded. the eyes of the Rapidash were injured, it couldn't see anymore. The gym leader returned the unable to battle pokemon. She wasn't paying attention and arcanine took a full blast of dragon breath, he was thrown back into into the wall, causing him to faint. The leader returned her pokemon and gave the badge to Syl. She then walked off in shame.
CONGRATS! you've beat the last gym!

Collecting both composure and his badge, Syl walked out of the gym, confident that he had won fairly.
"Piece of cake." With shaky words, trainer tried to convince himself that he was the best, that the victory had been his all along. But deep down, he knew better.
And it scared him.
