After walking for several days, Heiki Kazakan was getting weary of travel. He had not seen any sign of civilization for a while. Although, this was partly his fault, since he did not want to be seen. The wind started to pick up when he exited the woodland. He looked up to be greeted with a paper in his face. After much sputtering and freaking out Heiki read what was on the paper:
"Want to be a pokemon trainer? Live in Arataville? Then come down to the pokemon lab between 06/12 and 06/15 to start your adventure today!"
Heiki's eyes widened as he read this, in fact, he re read it several times. This can't be real! this is exactly what I have been looking for! at this moment he was holding this ad in his right hand and as the wind blew another gust his way he noticed something written on the back of the ad.
“Huh.” he said to no one in particular.
The back was the rules for the ad. All of it was the normal "void if not of age..." but what really caught his eye was:
"If you do not live in Arataville, you may not acquire a pokemon from the lab."
As he read the last word in that line he loosened his grip on the paper, which was promptly caught by the wind, never to be seen again. If you have ever seen a homeless puppy in the rain after a thunderstorm, you might have an idea of how Heiki looked just now. Crest-fallen and heart-broken he seemed to just stand there for hours. After a few minutes the weather reminded him where he was, as rain started to sprinkle from the north. For the first time since he had been hit in the face by the paper, he looked up. Ahead of him was arataville (he assumed). Well, I should get some cover, seeing as its going to star really raining soon. he trudged on into town; quickly ducking into the first tall building he saw - the pokemon lab.
"Ah...man!" Of all the places! at this point, a little wet, still heart-broken, an idea started to form in his head. What if he acted like one of the towns kids? It’s not like he would really be lying, just bending the truth. And he really wanted to be a trainer.
With a heavy-and nervous, sigh he walked up to the counter...
