A young teenager walked along the route, a croagunk beside her as she cautiously watched all around her. Her Dratini ears listened hard as she checked to see if any humans were nearby. pokemorphs? those she didn't mind, but humans, she did not.she decided that the best way to avoid any human trainers would be to stay off the road, so she instead walked among the trees and bushes, rougher going, but she was used to that sort of thing and could almost as easily be quiet among the brush as a trainer could on the path, when they were not talking of course. Both pokemorph and pokemon cautiously navigated the bushes and trees so as not to alert any nearby trainers.

There was little to be hard save the delicate windsong tussling with the leaves of rowan, juniper, and poplar that bordered the path in dense, closeknit clusters. Above, the sky was pallid, dotted with the occasional, sparse cloud, bruised and an ominous, agitated black in hue. Lightning briefly laced the eastern horizon with veins of brilliant gold, tailed by an abrupt crash of hideous thunder. Rain was on its way -- a flock of roiling, raucously cawing Pidgey hurtled past to some faraway shelter only they knew about, and an erratically barking Zigzagoon barreled past, the spiked beige-and-brown fur of its tail fading into a spruce thicket near by. Vaguely did a soft sprinkle begin, sparse raindrops occasionally falling from the heavens. The only Pokémon that seemed quite pleased was a juvenile Poliwag, a rotound little steel-blue beast prancing jauntily within each premature puddle. Its thick, pale pink lips were moving wildly in a sort of peculiar, undecipherable ditty. "Poli, Poli, Poliwag, Poli~" There is no direct translation for such a song, but it was one of glee and elation. [ , lv. 4 ]

Jessica moved into sight of the poliwag and smiled. she stood and watched the happy little pokemon as it played. She called out to it after a little while saying, "Hello." Croaker looked up at Jessica who was smiling at the poliwag, then waved to it.

The poliwag didn't hear the trainer, caught up in it's joyous song, but it saw her a few moments later. It's eyes widened and pupils dilated, a large bead of sweat pouring down the side of it's trembling face. <Ack! Help! A giant wants to eat meeee~!> It started to run off in the opposite direction of the trainer, but it's small and dainty feet could only carry it so far.

Jessica looked around to see what the poliwag was talking about then realized it had ment her. "No I don't." Jessica called to it. She didn't try to stop it but instead watched to see where it would go. Just then Tony came onto the route, Jade out and walking next to her. Jessica spotted Tony and a snarl appeared as she watched Tony. "Humans." She grunted not realizeing that the 'human' she was looking at was a pokemorph, and her sister at that.

With a few distances the jolly Poliwag quickly tripped over it's tiny legs, still in eye view of Tony and Jessica. <Ohh no, they're going to eat me!> The Pokémon shouted, still not paying attention that Tony nor Jessica really want to harm it.

Tony spotted the poliwag and ran over to help it. "Who's going to eat you?" she asked as she tried to help it up. Jessica watched Tony suspiciously, waiting for her to attack the poliwag. She was surprised to see her go to help it instead.

<You guys are!> The Poliwag replied, as tiny clear tears started to run down it's tiny body. <Please, Please, don't hurt me!> The Poliwag added, as more tears continued to fall.

"What?" Tony said confused, "We aren't going to hurt you. Right Jade?" The vulpix barked in agreement. Tony then asked the poliwag, "Why would we want to hurt you?" Tony asked. Jessica remained hidden but called out, "Because you're a trainer and all your kind want to do is battle and compete." Tony looked up to see who was talking but didn't see anyone. She set the poliwag back down and headed over to where she thought she had heard the voice. By this time Jessica had moved, anticipating Tony's actions.

<What she said!> The Poliwag replied, listening to Jessica's remark. The Poliwag still in fear a little, dried it's tears, and slowly walked over to Tony, trying to help find the girl who made the smart remark.

Tony noticed that the poliwag was helping her and said, "Well, just cause someone looks like a human, doesn't necessarily mean that that's what they are." Tony said loud enough for Jessica to hear. "Besides, there are some out there who are actually nice." Tony caught a glimsp of Jessica and smiled before the dratini morph darted out of sight. "And in anycase, I'm not a true human." She continued. Jessica stepped out from behind a tree into Tony's sight. Her eyes were narrowed as she studied Tony cautiously. "Then what are you?" she demanded after a moment. "I'm a pokemorph, same as you." Tony said simply. "Prove it." Jessica said. Tony sighed and pulled her hat off to show Jessica her mew ears. Jessica continued to study Tony, saying nothing. Tony then replaced her hat and said, "I've got a tail too." She said pointing out her 'belt'.

The poliwag looked over at Tony's mew-like features in awe, but quickly lost interest. <OK... I better go now....> It waddled off at first, turned a sharp right and ran into the forest; it had gotten hungry and was going to search for food.
Maybe, if you wanted to catch the poliwag, you still have time...
Follow the Poliwag?

Tony watched the poliwag go and smiled. She turned to look at Jessica but she was no longer in sight. Jessica had slipped off into the forest and was going to try and talk to the poliwag some.

At first, the tadpole was nowhere within sight. The rain had grown increasingly heavier 'till it had evolved into a light shower rather than the meager drizzle that had been occurring for the past while. It took a small ordeal of forest-bound travelling 'till the circular creature was found, wallowing in the murk of a deep puddle. Several telltale berry stems were scattered alongside its play area, evidence of a relished brunch.
Its gurgling and merry play ceased at once, however, when the human came into view. The Poliwag frowned steeply and sank deeper into the depths of its puddle, blowing a series of nervous bubbles triggered by anxiety.

The dratini morph smiled sweetly at the poliwag and said, "It's okay, I don't want to hurt you." She held her hands out and part, palms open, so as to show the poliwag she didn't want to hurt it. Croaker was getting annoied with the rain and tugged on Jessica's pant leg to get her attention, 'I don't like rain.' he told her. Jessica understood and returned him, replacing his ball on her belt.

The Poliwag adopted a visage of innocent confusion, but this swiftly shifted into sheer fury with a mere tent of puzzled alarm. Emerging only briefly from the puddle it referred to so fondly as its own, it swivelled about aerially with each intent to slap Jessica's hand with its slender, finned tail. With a faint plop, it was housed in the water yet again, eyes narrowed and a more voluminous stream of bubbles pouring out -- one could assume that it was hissing barbarically under the liquid's delicately rippling surface.
Prominently, it'd take far more than honeyed words and gentle persuasion to draw the Poliwag's beliefs towards that vulgar sounding conclusion. Humans. Kind. Huh.

Jessica brought her had to her side and held it as she felt the smack of the tail. "Ouch!" she winched and rubbed her hand. She turned and walked away, tears mingling with rain as she shuffled off. She began to sob slightly as her mind wandered to a no so distant memory. She had tried to make friends with some trainers. Instead they called her a Freak and began taunting her. She ran when she heard one say, "Let's catch her". Living in two worlds, yet not wanted in either. Jessica felt alone. She sighed and slumped to the ground at the base of a tree. Tony by this time had decided to wander about the area to see if she could find the dratini morph. It was hard with the down pour and soon she felt very wet. "Great." Tony said. Jade was soaked as well and now wanted back into her pokeball. Tony let the little fire fox back into her pokeball and set about looking for a place to wait out the storm when she spotted Jessica. Tony made her way over to the sad pokemorph. Jessica looked up and glared at Tony for a minute before looked away saying, "What do you want?" Tony gave Jessica a small smile even though she couldn't see and said, " A friend."

Due to the lack of imminent and productive response, the Poliwag shuffled silently from within the puddle it inhabited and squelched away, certain to leap briefly in each pool of water it came across, before fading into a dripping pine thicket. Ah, finally. Away from that indecisive, sensitive Dratini of a girl~
It sang happily upon its descent and, quite soon, was away from site. Jessica could pursue it yet again with more tactical thoughts in mind -- such as, per say, attacking the aquatic tadpole -- or merely keep to herself and await another creature to pass her way.

Jessica looked up at the smiling mew morph, the poliwag now out of her mind and gave a small smile. "My name is Tony. My little vulpix is Jade." Tony said. Jessica looked at Tony curiously for a minute curiously. "What?" Tony asked, "Is something wrong?" Jessica shook her head and finally said, "My croagunk is called Croaker." She then asked curiously, "How did you come to be a pokemorph?" Tony shrugged and said, "Team Rocket. I bet they regret it now though." she added with a grin. Jessica replied darkly, "I'll get them back someday for what they did to me."
Meanwhile, not that far away, another pokemorph came upon the road, Her many cream colred tails and creamy white hair easily marked her as a ninetails morph. She held a pokeball in her hand that contianed her charmander so as to shelter it from the rain. "I hope this lets up soon." Terra muttered as she made her way to a tree that looked like it would be a good temporary shelter.

The Poliwag had long since vanished, away to frolic within the depths of some other hopefully more serene puddle, undisrupted of the humans it loathed so dearly. It was not, fortunately, the only Water-type about -- for, quite contrarily, this was the only type of Pokemon that would dare emerge in such a rigorously fledging gale. As a matter of fact, an ordinarily shore-dwelling bird of frost-hued feathers streaked in myriad stripes of azure was wheeling calmly upon the cool updrafts. The driving curtains of gray rain did not deter this avian, for it circled upward, engaging in an enthralling plethora of theatric aerial stunts. Ah, how lovely the water felt upon its sleek feathers! Ah, how wondrous a noise it make as it pattered upon its beak! This was, certainly, a grand day to be alive and with able wings.
