For a moment, the wolf-man glanced to his team, or, at least those who were out and present. One shy one remained in the Pokeball, and others were in the PC. Yet, he had done hardly any battling to gain such a large number already. Thanks to events, contests of some sort, town promos, he had gained quite the collection. That meant nothing if they weren't strong enough to battle. He returned his attention to the Eevee and withdrew his hand. So, this little one wanted to cock and attitude with the most sarcastic and sardonic morph around? Ah, well he could handle it.
"Who was saying I was assuming you went your life without one? Some choose not to be named other than what they are." He shrugged and wobbled a little before ploping his rear on the ground. Crouching was a bit uncomfortable to human knees. The rich black tail that stuck out from the back of his pants dusted the ground behind him gently, and long, black, claw-like nails drummed the ground, perhaps out of partial boredom.
"You know, traveling alone on this route can be very dangerous for an Eevee. What with your kind being rare, and this route is full of amatures, easily they could end up hurting you in attempts to catch you." Blunt, and to the point. Unnaturaly bright greens stared her down. He had himself an Eevee already, but the soft heart he hid within desprately wanted to secure this one from any who might abuse her withotu the knowledge of how to raise an Eevee properly. They weren't, after all, rare for no reason.

The Eevee looked up again, slightly hurt. She knew he wasn't suggesting she couldn't take care of herself, but it still hurt somewhat. She chose to take a more cautious approach, her mind already calculating what would happen next. It was her wild imagination, of course, but she had yet to realize it.
<Weell... It's not as if I cannot run, and hide. I know a lot of places areound here to hide, places only an Eevee can fit into. I've had practice.> She pointed out carefully. Then she turned and looked in the direction she had come. They were near the pathway, of course, as she'd noticed earlier. A large white building was off in the distance, blocking her view from anything else. Then her tracks showed, somewhere even farther off. It was still somewhat unfamiliar to her, but when she had arrived here, she had searched for a good place to hide. She had found it, and gone off to explore with somewhat childish innocent.
Somehow she regretted her actions. Maybe she should have stayed near the Daycare Center. Here she was, confronted by one of her worst fears- other pokemon, with no way to hastily excuse herself and leave.

Keeva shrugged softly. If he could not convince her, then perhaps Striker could. The Pokeball he had fidgeted with earlier was pressed and opened, and out came another Eevee, almost a replica of the one he was speaking to, except Striker had much lighter fur, almost off-white rather than a creamy brown. The Eevee blinked a little and yawned. Too long he had been stuffed in that ball, but he hadn't exactly wanted out, either. once his eyes laid upon the other, a cheery little smile took his features and he wiggled his tail in excitment.
"Another of my kind?" he said with joy and glanced up to Eerie rather than Keeva. The beautiful and mysterious Eon smiled down to her pre-evolved form, but nodded back towards Lyra. Keeva then took up the conversation again.
"Perhaps this is so, and I will do no further convincing." with a grunt, he pushed himself off the ground to stand again, then brushed his rear off. "But I'm simply warning you. If you stay on these human infested paths without protection, then you will get hurt. Striker knows that."
The male Eevee nodded grimly. It had just been his luck Keeva came by at the right time to 'win' him in some sort of contest. but he had been wild at one time, until he got too confident and wandered onto human roads.

Oh, great, another one. She glared at the pokeball Keeva brought out, but then stared in shock at the new eevee. She realized this was another attempt. She'd easily go along with them, Lyra just felt like being difficult. It was in her nature, something you can never change. So Lyra sat down with a hard thump.
"I don't like people." She grunted. "and people don't like me. I don't get along with people." Lyrasen snorted. That was the source of her problem- a natural thing that made her easy to dislike. Sometimes she could even say she enjoyed it. So it was her job to annoy them. From the simple "annoying song" to saying the person's name over and over again until they got pissed off. The job payed. It was fun to see them squirm, easily molding in her grasp. You could say she was evil, of a sort. But not Team Death evil, for sure.
"It's in my nature to be stubborn even when I've made the decision." Lyrasen growled. "I know more than you think." It was true, once again. Lyra was only a child, but her vocabulary and mind were far more advanced than the eat- breathe-sleep pattern of an eevee child's. She spent some of her spare time daydreaming about battle strategies and even contests. It was probably just creativity at work.
"So stop thinking more people will encourage me. They'll only make me go away." Lyrasen admitted gruffly, and grinned wolfishly.
