As a gust of wind blew down on the route a slight sound could be heard as footsteps were lodged on the ground. As a leaf fell a light blue hand lodged his hand out and the leaf was placed gently in the center of it. A smile cracked up as Zane's hand moved slightly and the leaf went back into the breeze. The moment however was ruined due to the loud music from his headset,"Oh well."The morph mumbled as he walked down the route mimicking the lyrics to the song on his headset.

A wild Pidgey flew down, letting its body be carried by the gusts of wind around it. Enjoying the weather that Spring provided, and the food. You couldn't forget about the food, it would personally peck anyone around it that didn't think food first. Finding another gust of wind to fly upon, it took the route. Flying over many tree's and many sights, until the strangest one came from right below it. A lone trainer, walking around the routes. At least it assumed it was a trainer, they were the only people to walk in this direction. Toying with the idea to follow the man, it made up its mind. Swooping down, it snuck along behind Zane, and silently flapped its wings. Hovering only inches behind his golden hair, and snickered. Wondering just ho wlong it would take for the morph to realize that it was right behind him.

The trainer was first oblivious that the pidgey was following him so he continued to listen to his music. When a slight draft came from behind him he realized something was behind him so Zane just closed his eyes and quickly opened them, now they were a yellowish color and he saw the pokemon behind him and smirked,"You can't really sneak up on me if I can see your aura."The trainer said calmly in pokespeak to the pokemon.

The bird stopped mid-flight, letting Zane walk a couple of steps before realizing the importance of what the male said. Shaking its head to snap it out of that trance, it started speaking in a bold voice.
<My aura? Hmth, you humans...So cocky, and 'all-knowing'. > It flapped its wings so that way to could fly next to Zane, and kept giving him occasional glances as it added on to his rant, though it was only doing it so it would be as embarrassed.
<You probably just heard me, with those ears of yours. Kinda strange, you humans. Trying to turn yourselves into Pokemon, but only making it half way.> It shook its head in fake pity, trying to spark some sort of reaction in the man.

Zane just let out a small sigh at what the bird like pokemon was saying,"Listen, I know know if you can call us all-knowing but I think you did hit the nail on the head when you call us cocky."He said to the Pidgey before the pokemon said it's second thing,"Listen here, you got a problem with the fact that I am like this? Well you should put your money where your beak is!"Zane called out to the flying type and swiftly grabbed a pokeball from his pouch and jumped back,"Phel come!"He said as he tossed the pokeball and a Chimchar came out and smirked.

Getting the reaction it desired, the Pidgey gave a tiny smirk over to Zane. Its eyes shining of amusement from his anger, at least something interesting was happening right now. Otherwise it would turn out to be a boring day.
Its opponent? Not the human that it disgraced, but a Chimchar. Something about this Pokémon annoyed it, it was either the smile on her face, or the confident look she held. Something that this flying type envied, not everyone could feel that way.
<This is a little rash, don't you think? Well, if you insist...I'll make the first move. > It remarked, flying a safe distance away from Phel, yet not too high so it would be able to attack. Bringing up a gust of wind at the dirt below it, it kicked up a Sand Attack.

Kane sighed as he noticed what the pokemon said,"Well, people have called me rash in the past......but that is beside the point. Phel cover your eyes and fire a ember straight at the enemy!"The morph commanded with a smirk. The Chimchar closed her eyes to make sure most of the sand won't get in her eyes and as she opened them once again she rubbed her eyes slightly before firing a rain of scarlet flames at the bird like pokemon.

The Ember's went right at the Pidgey, who took them willingly. Not while standing still, oh no it wasn't that dumb. It flew right through the ember attack, so it could get closer to the Chimchar. Parts of its wings were slightly charred from the fire, and the remaining flame died out.
Taking the chance to Tackle its opponent head on, the Pidgey looked very confident in this move. Even if another ember came at it, it would look as if it did nothing to it. Of course this was all because it was at full health, so it had every reason to feel good.

The small pokemon watched as the flames connected with the Pidgey,"Bulls eye."Zane mumbled with a smirk but his eyes widened slightly as the pidgey charged at Phel so he thought,"Take the attack head on then counter with Focus Punch!"Zane commanded, he wanted to show this pokemon who was boss with Phel's strongest attack.
Phel smirked at what her Trainer commanded and stood her ground and her right fist started to glow. As the pidgey charged she took out her left arm to block most of the impact and attempted to push the pokemon back and swung her right fist at the pokemon with a Focus Punch.

Having no idea what was in store for the flying type, it pushes hard against the Chimchar's left hand. Blasted thing was looking just as calm as when the battle started, which was making the Pidgey even more upset. Inching its beak towards the center of Phel's hand, it tried to make a more demanding approach to attacking the fire type's body.
The Focus Punch was a real wake-up call to how strong its opponent was, it hit it directly in the back. The sheer force of the attack was enough to stop it in its tracks, and fall tot he ground. Only dazed and bruised, the bird glared at Phel. Okay, so that was a bad idea. It had better tatics, however.
Getting back into the air, it circled around the fire type before settling down on the opposite side of the field. Its wings were now warmed up and ready to show off some moves. Its first trick? Kicking up another Sand Attack at the ground. Sending several peices of dust and sand flying at the fire type. Now to finish it up, it directed more of the gusts at the Chimchar, instead of the ground.

Zane smirked slightly as the attack made contact to the enemy,"Good, we are in the lead."He mumbled under his breath, that was until the pidgey made the sand attack and gust combo,"Alright, try to dodge and counter with a swords dance and scratch!"Zane commanded to his pokemon.
The fire type sighed as it saw what she was in for,"Great...."Phel mumbled under her breath as the attacks went towards her. The pokemon made a leap of fath in the air to dodge most of the gusts but got hit by about half of the force, but she boosted her strength and swung her claws down at the enemy pokemon.

Having no idea what it was in for as the Swords Dance was preformed, the Pidgey gave a small smile to itself when Phel was in the air. Thinking that it would be an easy attack, and an easy target it began to fly towards the Chimchar. Only to be met by very sharp and painful claws, and was forced to go into a screeching fit.
Flying lower to the ground with its head buried in its chest, the Pidgey could barely look up as tiny wounds on its face began to seep out blood. It didn't look like much, but it stung so much. It was tempted to hide its cuts from the air, because it seemed to be taunting it the entire time. With one wing still on its head, trying to stop the bleeding with pressure, it used its other wing to send a series of Gust's at Phel to occupy her.

A small sweatdrop came from the pokemon as she saw the gusts headed towards her and cursed under her breath,"Ahhhh......cra-" Nisan was cut off as she was headed up in the sky, and crashed into a near by tree. As the pokemon hit the floor she growned as she weakly got up, and beads of sweat rolled off her face with the expression of anger on her face,"Alright no more nice Chimchar."The pokemon mumbled as she unleashed a valley of ember at the pidgey.

Several of its wounds had stopped bleeding by now, since Pokemon have better healing abilities than a human. It didn't stop the pain, for it felt like another attack in those special areas would open the wounds up in a single strike.
Luckily for the Pidgey that it wasn't facing another Scratch, but this time a bunch of embers. Where it lacked power, it returned in quantity. Various embers made it hard for the Pidgey to run around in, and had to hop from spot to spot because its foot had gotten a bad burn. The air seemed to temporarily cure it, untilt he pain from landing kicked in.
With teary eyes, the Pidgey cried out in pain. It was getting to be too much, using both of its wings to get into the air, it beated against the ground to kick up another Sand Attack at the Chimchar. What it didn't realize, was that with all of the sand coming up it covered the dangerous Ember's on the ground. Making it a bit safter to attack on the ground.

The pokemon trainer watched the battle and saw that this can be a close battle between the pidgey and his Chimchar,"Come on Nisan, you can do it.......use another focus punch to try to end the battle!"He mumbled the first part but shook his head and commanded for what he hoped to be the coup de grace of this battle.
The fire type sighed as the sand came up at her face and she tilted her head away and closed shut her eyes to keep the sand out of them. As the sand blew away Nisan started to spit out some sand and mumbled some few words,"Darn sand..."She mumbled but her fist started to glow again and she charged at the pidgey with the Focus Punch.

Thankfully for the Sand Attack, the Pidgey found it easier to fly out of the way among the last few seconds it had to avoid a Focus Punch. It was an easy attack to dodge after all, it was only a single fist. The problem that the Flying type couldn't think of a good counter-attack, it would be safer to just use Gust. It was just that the attack was getting a little old by now, and they might find a way to counter-attack its own move.
Deciding upon sheer impulse, it charged forward. Its wings beating against the ground harshly to keep its tiny body above ground. Hovering only a couple of inches off of the ground, it tried to Tackle the Chimchar.

A small smirk filled with slyness and a bit of weirdness appeared on the duo as the pidgey charged at Nisan and the trainer mumbled,"Fell for it......."the words came from Zane's lips as he watched the plan come together.
Nisan saw the pidgey charging with a tackle and took in a big breath,<Here is something for you!>She called out and took the blow head on but then took her sharp claws and swiped them at the pokemon when the flying type hit her.

Having a feeling of accomplishment, the Pidgey smiled its satisfaction at Tackling the Chimchar with success. Why wasn't anyone in pain? Glancing up at Nisan's face, it blanched at the smirk upon the Fire type's face. What was it so happy about, what could it be?
A trap?! It thought with a terrified gasp, it knew it had to get away. It had to, but it couldn't. The force of the tackle had it stuck to the Chimchar's body, so it couldn't back away in time to dodge the high powered Scratch attack. Tearing through its feathers and reaching the skin, drops of blood made its way to the ground. Staining it with its putrid red color. It was then that the Pidgey had enough, it was much too tired to continue the battle. Falling to the ground in a faint.
Nisan gains a level. Capture? Or Move on?

Zane smiled with pride as he saw that his pokemon had won a battle,"That pidgey sure did make a fight but we showed it."He said with a smile and the Chimchar nodded with enthusiasm before a white glow covered Nisan with her trainer in awe. As the light disappeared a monferno was in her place,"Cool! You evolved!"The trainer smiled as he went over to his pokemon,<Mon, monferno!>The pokemon called out and the two then walked down in triumph through the route.

A raging cry was released from the scratchy throat of another bird. One of the most common Pokémon in the area, so one shouldn't be surprised by their constant appearance. Deeper into the light forest that Route One provided, a giant flock of Spearow flew overhead. A strong and united flock, with an enormous and bold looking Fearow in the lead. All of the Spearow were at least a foot away from its mighty wings, its sharp beak the most intimidating. As they flew overhead, their cries echoed once again. The Spearow's chirping at separate times, in hopes of one of their own hearing them. As they past the area that Zane and Nisan were walking in, two glaring eyes peered out from the shelter of one of the tree's. Watching with eyes of hatred at the flock that it once called its own, but things were different now. It wanted to live on its own, possibly forever. To get stronger, and finally prove to its own flock that it was better than the rest of them. 'Then why am I hiding? This is foolish...' It started growling to itself, but the noise was becoming loud enough for a Pokemon's ears to pick up on. Though the bird had been focusing on the flock in the sky, it had taken note of the travelers below it.
