Namine grew interested and curious of the Ruins as she stepped in; her Hyperactive Chimchar right beside her. "Come on Chimchar, let's find some Pokemon!" she squealed happily. Namine flipped back her white hair, dark black eyes glancing around every corner as she looked around the Ruins. Namine appeared to be almost albino, white hair, pale skin, but with a even happier, bubbly attitude.

The ruins in the summer were lush and green if not extremely humid. It was sweltering hot, and a great place to be if you were searching for grass or bug types. However, now since it was approaching winter, the ground was icy, crusted over with a solid layer of frozen water.
Ice pokemon were plentiful here, migrating from the now warming up north to Cheyenne while the grass types migrated up north where it was much warmer. The towering structures were decorated carefully by Jack Frost, icecicles were hanging from the columns and many pokemon took shelter in the howling wind.
A Stanler could be found up ahead attempting to break through the ice with it's pointed paw. Hungry, this Stantler was rather irritatable in being stuck in this freezing cold weather without his herd. How dare his family leave him here to fend for himself? How dare they. Now he was resorted to eating off the ground... ew.
Stantler has appeared!

Namine smiled, the grin growing wider as she approached the Stantler. "AWWW YOUR SO CUTE!"
She squealed very loudly in a high pitched girly voice. Letting out her Riolu that was Jade with super defense, she called for a battle. "Let's train! Use Ice Punch!"
Riolu quickly ran towards the Stantler with his fist covered in ice for an ice punch.

The high-pitched squeal of Namine's call frightened the Stantler. He reared up onto his hind legs before the trainer even had the chance to call out her Riolu and he started to stamp around fitfull before he took off at full gallop.
However, he turned back. It wasn't like a Stantler to run, it was more common for the moose-like Pokemon to charge and try to maim their agressor. . . Well, that was how it was for this Stantler. He had started to run away to try and pull the trainer into a false sense of security.
He charged the trainer, perfectly fine since he had managed to avoid the Ice Punch, and then leapt toward the Riolu, trying to land a Stomp attack.

"Dodge Riolu, then zen headbutt!" Namine smiled, she enjoyed battling very much and when she was battling a Pokemon she wanted, it made it even more exciting for her.
Riolu rolled on the ground to avoid the stomp then, quickly ran at the Stantler with Zen headbutt, a psychic move that may make the Pokemon flinch.

The Psychic attack hadn’t brought any fear in the Stantler’s stature; his confident nature had even made him think that the move barely scratched him. Indeed, the place where he was struck didn’t look damaged at all. His distant gaze was suddenly focused on the Riolu, his body elegant and still with his antler’s shadow looming over the Pokemon.
<Relax.> He whispered in a frightening voice, as if trying to force the Jade Pokemon to listen to his command. He started to create Hypnotic waves to try and induce sleep in his opponent. Then he could crush the living shit out of him. It sounded a lot easier than trying to attack a moving opponent.

"Riolu, quickly dodge then sky uppercut now!" Namine cried out, watching the battle ever so closely.
Riolu looked away from the Stantler to avoid the hypnosis and then rolled, running towards the deer Pokemon to use a sky uppercut.

The Stanlter realized the trouble he was in the minute the Riolu rolled out of the way, and he immediately took several cautious steps backward in order to think the situation over. Bad idea, seeing that the level 4 Riolu wasn’t going to give him the chance! He was struck right upside the sensitive bottom of his chin, closing his eyes shut in pain as the Riolu sky rocketed right over him, and landed easily back onto the ground.
The area where he was struck was sore, and tender. Most likely, it would form a bruise. Something he would be able to tell other Pokemon about once they noticed how black and blue it was. At least he was going to go away with some type of trophy. He may not look like the type of Pokemon that would be fast on his four hooves, with that lazy, easy going look in his eyes. That was where you were wrong. He was a deer. Which meant power sprinting was his specialty, and with all of his weight, any attack dealt by him wasn’t something to be taken lightly.
He sprinted forward with his two antlers digging down into the ground; a strange psychic sensation was emitted from them as he aimed the attack at the Riolu. It was his version of Astonish, where his antlers would create the illusion of some kind of twisted fantasy, where one would be frightened to the point of flinching. It was a sneaky technique, and he could pull it off quite well.

The Riolu flinched, shivers sent down his spine as the move was used; He was a sensitive Pokemon and didn't like scary things very much. "Come on Riolu!" Namine encourage but, he stood there, frozen in his flinching.

Never one to waste a brilliant opportunity like this, the Stantler wasted no time in jumping to the next attack. As the young Riolu stood frozen in the dreary snow, the Stanlter already had his hooves raised up into the air, showing off his powerful legs as they kicked and bucked at the open air. It was quite the frightful display before pummeling down on the Riolu with his Stomp attack. Both of his legs were working on giving the Pokemon a severe beat-down.
But to him, it was like squishing a bug. At times, he didn’t even know his own strength. Most of it came naturally to him after living in these rocky Ruins for so long, hiking around and travelling with the herd trained you for physical challenges like these easily.

"Come on Riolu, zen headbutt now!"
Riolu half way came to his senses and just barely missed the Stantler's stomp. He took some damage on the shoulder but luckily, it missed his face. Shaking off the flinching now, Riolu ran towards the Stantler with a zen headbutt, angry at the deer-like Pokemon for trying to intimidate him.

The Stantler was rather annoyed that the Riolu had managed to avoid his last attack. He snorted angrily and rounded to attack again, but the Riolu had other plans. Stantler called out in pain as the little Pokemon headbutted him.
He staggered backwards, tossing his head. That had hurt more than he had thought it would, and he didn't like the feeling of pain. Maybe it was time to try and get the little pest to fall asleep like he had attempted to not but ten minutes ago. It would be so much easier to trample the thing into the ground if the Riolu was snoozing.
The two eye-like fixtures on the Stantler's horns began to glow a bright blue color. He stood absolutely still and let his horns to the work. Nearly invisible psychic waves radiated from the two appendages toward the Riolu as the deer Pokemon attempted to lull his opponent into sleep with Hypnosis.

"Quickly dodged and zen headbutt again!" Namine cried out. Her Riolu did take damage with the last stomp but, so far no move had hit straight on and that's the way she liked it. Riolu quickly rolled from the waves of hypnosis and then ran towards the Stantler with a zen headbutt.

After many dodges and misses, attacks and definitely no kisses, the battle had ended. Not in a draw, thank goodness, but with a distinct winner and loser. The Stantler’s head was reintroduced to Mr. Fist, and was knocked down and out for the count. Apparently the Riolu had magically grown stronger since the beginning of the battle, and now he was no match for the Jade Pokemon.
It was a shame too. He felt like he was so close to winning this time…
Riolu gains a level!

Namine giggled and returned the Riolu quickly. She spun around in complete bliss before looking at the fainted Stantler. She didn't care to capture this Pokemon, but she knew that there would be more down the road and that's what mattered at the moment.

He hopped around the Anziel Ruins with the same carefree smile that he held on his face every day, balancing a giant pink pearl upon his head. It seemed like an odd game, or an odd habit, that this swine would keep with this rhythmic hopping, but the poor fellow couldn’t quite stop. For if he did his very heart would stop beating, and he would fall under the spell of winter’s frost.
Thankfully, there was no reason for this Spoink to stop his hopping. Hop. Hop. Hop. All around, twirling as he did so with the excited breath of a playful little guy itching to find his best buddy. <Where is she, anyways? I hope she isn’t stuck in a hole somewhere.> He sniffled, the cold air turning his sensitive nose a faint red. If his arms were a little longer, he would’ve given it a gentle tickle, so he wouldn’t look like a dork with snot threatening to dribble down his face.
