While the two were close, the Houndour had been preparing to let out his own attack as well, but just didn't react fast enough to let it out. Those blasted talons dug through his fur and skin, and as he cowered to get away those claws simply pulled even harder since they were already in his skin.
Yet he was free of them at the same. Which was the only bright side of this triangle, where the top point was the only way out where everywhere else was getting dark. Deciding that they were still close enough to let out a couple of blows, he blew out a couple of Ember's, though he wouldn't notice it, but the flames were a little weaker than his last attacks.

Alpha noticed the weakening state and saw a chance to defeat the pup. However, he stopped to think a moment. Perhaps his trainer didn't want to defeat it like he wished to. Maybe there was a chance for capture, or a chance to let the other surrender. Then, the Ember came, and struck him full blast in the face, which sent up such an odd shriek from the raptor. Deadly teeth bit at the flames that were scorching his face. Even if it was a weaker Ember, it was close enough to make an impact. It just make the dino more angry though, and forget about obeying it's trainer comletely.
"Had your chance..." The raptor growled deeply to the houndour in rather bad Pokespeech. he hadn't talked much, and didn't have much of a voice for it.
Before the flames were fully extinguished upon it's head, it made for the pup with a quick Quick Attack before it could react to anything else.

His body grew tense as the Houndour heard the particulary gritty voice pour into his ears. Sensitive ones at that, and it was then that he realized it was the first time he ever heard his opponent speak in actual words. As clumsy they were, the effect went straight up into his mind.
For an opponent so big, it sure was fast. A bit scary looking as well, for Alpha looked like the kind of Pokemon that could eat a Houndour like him. Taking a couple of steps back, he watched the raptor with hesitant eyes, not knowing what this one would try next. Just like that, the Quick Attack slammed the dark type backwards.
The force of the attack was getting stronger, or it seemed that way because his health was getting lower. It was as if the wind got knocked out of him, and making a shakey step up he covered the area with a Smog for protection.

Keeva's ears flattened as he watched it progress into something much more violent than what it was supposed to be. The pup was really fighting hard, but Alpha wouldn't play fair, no matter the command. however, if he surrendered, then the Raptor would never learn his limits, nor respect.
"Surrender, pup. I win this either way, and I would prefer not to waste medicines restoring your health when you are defeated." his way of saying 'surrender and go on, or be beaten and dragged off somewhere until you wake.' Honestly, he didn't see the Houndour winning this by any stroke of luck anymore. Alpha waited patiently in the smoggy darkness for another command, or another clear chance.

The Houndour let out a few deep growls from the back of his throat. He seriously didn't want to back off now, but what advantage was he gaining from the entire battle they had? You never got anywhere in the world if you quit, but if he could predict the future, and he could see that there was no other way of escaping the situation.
<...> He remained silent, allowing the effects of Smog to slowly fade away into the background behind him. All that was left was clear air between Alpha and the dark type, and his eyes narrowed. How did one say that they surrendered? Perhaps no words were needed, bowing his head in respect, he slowly turned around. The soft pats of his feet against the Forest's ground were all that could be heard as he ran into the safety of the Forest.
All participating Pokemon gain a level. Continue on?

"Take this experiance and learn, pup." he said with a faint smile, watching the Houdour run for safety. It would grow to be a wise Houndoom someday, perhaps the leader of a pack. Only the smart knew when to back down like that and admit surrender.
Alpha beamed and cried out victoriously, but Keeva shot a sharp glare at him and growled him into silence.
"And you will get no where if you don't learn to listen. You are still young, but that is all the more reason to listen to your elders." And with that, he returned the raptor and moved onward into the forest, Eerie padding silently at his side, though inches above the ground.
We should work on Striker next. He is new to us and still does not know quite how to cooperate. Perhaps we'll encounter two next. he and Katje can work together. The ghostly eon spoke to him mentally. he remained silent though, thinking as he walked. This wasa slow progress.

Well, when Eerie wanted two Pokemon, she certainly got it. Not quite what they were expecting, however. A figure in the depths of the forest ran at a quick pace, weaving its way through the trees like a needle and thread. A practiced runner, the Pokemon turned around while keeping running to see if its attacker was still chasing it. Most likely they had given up, one of the two beings spoke in a hushed whisper. Nervously looking around the area to catch sight of Keeva and Eerie. <Quiet, you want to get in another fight?> The furry looking bird spoke, her voice smooth and femine sounding. The brown neck that supported her head was long and very strong. Yet it didn't appear that way. The other rolled its eyes, before replying in...the same voice? <It wasn't even close to being refered to as a fight. Not if the only thing we ever did was run, we gotta stop t hat by the way. My pride is bleeding, ya know.> The two paused in their conversation, outloud at least. 'You baka, you realize that there's a human nearby. They probably know where we are by now. ' The more mature voice sounded, before the younger one countered with a cocky tone. 'Well, fine. Let them hear us, I think it would be good for my self-esteem. ' The being slowly walked out and into the clearing, much to the first ones annoyance. She seriously didn't want to go near those two, but if her 'other self' wanted to, then she hadn't much choice.

Quiet, Keeva, here comes another. Eerie warned, and then silently floated to the source of the voices andnoise they made. they faded out of existance for a moment once she came near enough to be seen, but she was still there, right at their side and watching.
Keeva, meanwhile, released Striker as quietly as he could. The Eevee yawned and blinked at the dimmed sunlight filtering through the trees. It had certainly been long enough, and he felt like stretching his legs. The only time he came out was for a fight, or if they were granted a vacation of some sort. This seemed more like the atmosphere of a fight, and so the Eevee prepared himself by stretching and getting his blood flowing.
Lost in the forest? Came Eerie's sweet, but haunting voice behind the bi-headed bird. She was still invisible for the most part, but she allowed herself to fade in and out, perhaps to creep them out a bit more. The forest can be a dangerous place for a lone Pokemon. there are evil spirits just waiting to reck havoc...

One of the two sensed Eerie's precense, the older and alerter sibling felt their body stiffen as the two came to a stop near Keeva and the Eevee. In plain sight for the two to see, the more tomboyish head gave a tiny giggle at the adorable looking creature.
<Oh my, I didn't realize that trainers had such cuties...Maybe your not used for battling. Just a little house pet, right?> She teased, her long neck bowing a bit to try and reach the Eevee's eye level. The other head was straining to turn around to catch a glance at the haunting voice that surrounded them, she knew her sibling had heard it, but most likely didn't care.
'Hey, pay attention. I can't taunt the foxy thing if you keep bobbing your head like a Psyduck. ' The younger head scolded, while the first one appeared offended by the comment before shaking her head at the others ignorance.

Keeva wasa bit surprised by the sheer lack of fear this Pokemon had. it was practically standing face to face with him since Striker was at his side. Eerie pouted slightly, finding her little haunting game ineffective to either head, so she made herself visable again and floated back to the other side of her trainer.
"Who are you calling a pet? Crazy two headed dumb bird!" barked the Eevee angrily. Before even given a command, he turned and kicked up some sand in the birds' face with a Sand Attack, and huffed proudly. "Shouldn't get your big ugly face so close next time!" he growled. Eerie giggled slightly, and Keeva shook his head. "Eerie, why are you the only one with intelligence? You do not attack without command unless I give permission." Snapped the wolf-man at Striker, but the eevee didn't even seem to care about the scolding.

The more mature of the two heads only chuckled at Striker's sudden burst of rage, not even thinking that he had the balls to attack them. The other head was more than eager to go ahead and shout back, upset at the Eevee's insult.
<Crazy?! We'll, I'll show you--> She barked, right about to stick her beak right in the Eevee's skull when an annoying Sand Attack blew right in her eyes. Recoiling as she cried in pain, their legs began stomping on the ground rapidly as the older one tried to calm the other down.
Hey! Hey! Get over it! She said in her sternest motherly voice, trying to take control of the body as the other squirmed in place. Shaking her long Sunflora like neck in order to wipe away the stinging grains of sand. Oh, how she longed for hands.
<Great...Now she'll never stop complaining.> She muttered, after a couple minutes of endless telepathic communication between the two. Sending the Eevee an annoyed grunt, she walked right up to him, not afraid in the least to deliver a swift Peck to his head. Hoping to knock some sense into him.
