He arrived in the sixth gym in no time, it was scary. This gym came by very fast, it was nerve racking when Jay actually thought about it. Also this entire gym was of Dark pokemon, this wouldn't be an easy gym since Jay's only Ghost-ish type was Angela, and she didn't do shit to help, at all. Her clenched his fist before he opened the door into the sixth gym,
The entire gym was dark, the only thing he could see was a dark candle, a guy with very long hair and even 3 dark-typed pokemon sat behind the single heat source, a candle. Jay just researched that Fighting-types were super effective, Kaen would play a big part in this battle, maybe Artemis would have to take a back seat role, Mizu could take out Houndoom and Angela maybe, it was all just a big mystery and only a battle would show the answer to if Jay's strategy would work.
"Hello?" Jay called out, even though he could see the gym leader, or who he thought was the gym leader. He wanted to get his presence known, "I'm Jay and here to battle the Gym Leader of this Gym, please?" he let out a second and final yell before standing there with his three choices in his hand.
Mizu, the water-type would take out the Houndoom, or try to anyways.
Kaen, the Fire/Fighting-type with this Fighting attacks could make this battle a walk in the park.
Lastly, Kama, he also had a fighting type move.
He would use Artemis, but she was a Dark Type and would make this battle extremely difficult.

Everything is dark as you enter the gym. A single torch burns on the entrance, but no other light shines in the room. The Leader, Rey, is barely visible, sitting on the ground next to his Pokémon. He stands, taking a few steps forward, his long black hair swaying. The one torch illuminates his brown eyes, giving them a red tint. "I hear you wish to challenge me.." Rey's voice was deep, and quiet demented as well. He twirled a Poke ball in his hands. "How would you like this battle, one on one, or up to three on three?" He asked, flipping the red and white sphere in his right hand, the fire on the torch glowing brightly, making a reflection on the Poke ball.

Jay was confused when he heard of the three on three battle, but it sounded exciting. He decided against it because he wasn't sure how exactly how that would work. he wanted a 2v2 battle, because he was so used to them in regular gym battles. "Two versus Two." he replied as he let out three different pokemon.
"Who will you be using??" Jay asked as all three pokemon appeared, Kaen the Combusken, Mizu the Blastoise and Kama the Electivire.
Jay stood their and really wondered if it would be this dark all the time, "Is their a light switch or shall we be fighting in the darkness?"

The man held a fixed chuckle, almost mocking Jay as he asked his questions. It has been said many times before, that all battles were to be held in this setting, not only to test the Pokemon, but the trainers as well. It said so on the sign outside, and any other information where one could figure out what type of Pokemon he owned and fought with.
“My boy, they are already out. With the exception of my third, but I doubt you can make it that far.” He grinned through the darkness, the figures of the boy and his Pokemon were difficult to see, but he could sense their presence. Shadow and Hell gave growls of approval, letting themselves be known at their cue. The two took their steps forward, baring their fangs and appearing as dangerous and menacing as the stories told. Many a Pokemon have been defeated, for they weren’t just powerful, they were smart.
<Challenger goes first. > Shadow snarled from behind the depths of the false night, his heavy breathing was easy to hear from the very start, which made him the easiest target.

Jay shot an evil look into the darkness, he wasn't sure what exactly this gym leader was trying to pull. Was this the reason that the entire cave was dark, to get us used to how this battle was going to be? Anyways, he was capable of doing this battle without light, he just needed to trust the bond he had with his pokemon and get used to seeing in the darkness. "Sorry; Just a little confused that's all. Never dueled without any lights." he responded the chuckle.
"Okay, Kaen and Mizu go!" he responded as two starter pokemon appeared a few yards ahead of Jay. He couldn't tell where the battlefield lines were, "Just watch out guys, Kaen make sure to use fire so you can see, Mizu since your light you radiate light, you guys are easy targets. Just watch out." Jay was very cautious.
"Okay, Kaen Use Bulk-Up, then make your fists into a ball of fire so you can see and then Sky Uppercut! Mizu, when Kaen uses fire ball hand move thing spot the second target and Hydropump."
Kaen started off with a Bulk-Up, her muscles grew bigger as her attack increased, she then charged her fists up so that she could see where she was going, this let out a small light and now both pokemon were visible, she then rushed after the mightyena with a Sky Uppercut, being of the fighting-type this attack would be super-effective if it hit.
Mizu stood still, she didn't want to give out her location. Once Kaen used her ember light fists he spotted the Houndoom, he launched a Hydro Pump her way. Hopefully it would hit, but being in darkness and the fact that the houndoom was a very fast pokemon, he doubted himself.

<Mightyena!> Shadow howled loudly, once feeling the sharp pain of the Kaen's Sky Uppercut, which was super effect towards the Dark Type, however since the Mightyena's defense was surprisingly high, it didn't take away to much of his health. "Hmm, I'm second to the best in this region, so that means that you just can't take my Pokémon out by just trying to use Super effective attacks," the Gym Leader stated cockily. "Shadow use Tackle!" He ordered, and within a blink of an eye the canine Pokémon moved swiftly, but silently through the darkness, aiming right at Kaen with a forceful push.
"Hell, dodge and use Thunder Fang!" The Gym Leader ordered quickly, and just before the water hit Hell, he lowered his body and leaped out of the way of most of the attack, however a little damage was still done by the Super effective attack, seeing that it did attack his right back leg. <Hound!> Hell growled, running at the Light Water Pokemon, with electrical energy circling around his fangs.

Jay watched as the battle was going beautiful, he didn't hear any terrible screaming noises from any of his pokemon, and the glare off of both pokemon let Jay see what was happening. "Mizu, Protect! Kaen use Focus Energy and Sky Uppercut once again, take the tackle." Jay commanded his pokemon like a general in the army.
Kaen started as he focused his energy into his arms and tried to get ready to feel a tackle from a strong opponent, Kaen was shot backwards a few yards from the tackle attack, but he countered easily and ran after the Mightyena with his fists, a second Sky Uppercut was coming to Shadow's face.
Mizu quickly used hand signals and created a barrier in front of him, he made it impossible for Hell to use Thunder Fang on the Light Blastoise. He chuckled at the Hell as it tried to get past of the protect attack.

Rey snorted in disgust when he heard that Jay was ordering that Blastoise of his to use Protect, through the darkness it was hard to see much of anything on his face, but he was visibly displeased. Perhaps there was another reason for why he battled in the darkness, for more personal reasons. The crackling of electricity against Mizu’s shield was enough of a warning for him to waste no time in trying something else. Who knew how long that Protect of Mizu’s would last? So the next best thing would be to give poor Shadow a hand, who was about to receive yet another severe blow to the neck.
Shadow was a well trained fighter, and sensed from the very start from the heat of the Blaziken’s fists that he had to get away. That last tackle was nothing, and it gave him a good enough feel for what his opponent was like. Snarling, he glanced behind to see Kaen keeping up with him as he ran through the darkness, that sky uppercut was like a ghost, always haunting him.
“Shadow. Scary Face.” Rey stared into the blank emptiness before him. Only the rough pants and loud footsteps of his Pokemon were enough for him to get a general idea of where they were fighting. He saw a dim light in the darkness, and he could tell that Shadow was glaring right at the charging Blaziken, certainly to throw the fighting type off guard. Even if for half a second, it was enough.
“Cripple it Kaen, with Thunder Fang.” Rey felt rather bored, directing his Pokemon in the fashion he was. He was rather hoping that Hell was planning on attacking Kaen anyway, seeing as the dog has a rather hard time waiting, and tended to keep on the move no matter what. A wasted second was time taken away from one’s lifetime, after all. Sure enough, that assumption was correct. And Hell came rushing out from nowhere, his teeth suddenly cackling with electricity as he charged in at the Blaziken’s largest feature. Kaen’s legs. Hell was trying to drag him down to the ground, like how a police dog is trained to do when catching criminals. Rey was also wondering about Mizu, surely this had to be a frustrating situation for the Blastoise. For how many Hydro Pumps would he be able to use at random? That would certainly be an interesting experiment.

He thought that this was the perfect plan, he never figured that both Pokémon would attack Kaen, he cringed as Mizu's protection ran out. "Water Pulse the Houndoom, Kaen use Double Kick to shake it off your foot! then Bulk-up." He really wished that the lights would work, being in such a predicament and not being able to see really sucked on his part. Night vision did come into play, but it's not the same as being able to see, senses were important in battle, expecially sight and hearing. "You guys got this."
Kaen looked at the scary face and felt his stats drop, he was taken off-guard by the Thunder Fang to his legs that Kaen fell to the ground, the Blaziken was nervous and scared but with his other leg he thrusted his leg twice to Hell trying to get rid of the Houndoom of his leg. He took a deep breath into his lungs as he bulked-up once again, his attack rose quickly as Kaen felt stronger.
Mizu could see the burning embers of Kaen burning slightly and the Houndoom being close, he decided to go with a new plan and spotted the Mightyena, the Blastoise launched a Water Pulse attack to the dark-type, a large ball appeared made of water as it flew to the Mightyena.
Mizu used Water Pulse on Mighyena[yepp. new plan]

Rey was careful to listen to the other trainer's commands so he could get a good idea of what was in store for him later on. So he was very certain that Hell was going to be the one to get attacked by multiple super effective strikes, even now, he could hear the water attack charging up.
It was also a sure thing that Hell had been kicked away by at least one of the Double Kicks, but he was a good pup, he knew when to get away when need be, and probably suffered only one hit. But Bulk Up was a problem. He needed to keep his opponent's defense down if he wanted to inflict any damage at all.
"Hell, jump behind Blazikin and use Leer. " He waited until Hell was in position, a gruff bark was all he needed to sense the safety of his Houndoom. But the Water Pulse never hit him, instead, Shadow ended up crying in alarm, soaked to the core with freezing cold water. 'He's good...Very good. It looks like I'll have to distract the Blaziken first, then think of a plan for that Blastoise.' Rey thought with a discontented sigh, folding his arms together as he listened on. Already, he could tell that Hell was putting up one heck of a leer, glowing red eyes through the pure darkness, it would be easy to hurt both Kaen and Mizu at once with it.
"Shadow, use Swagger on Blaziken. Hell, cover the room with your Smog." Rey had been feeling rather sinister, despite the fact that even he would suffer from the putrid scent. But he had been around it for so long, that the edge had worn off of the poisonous scent. Shadow had been pretty darn good at handling it as well, but itched to get in a cocky puff of smoke to confuse Kaen before he ended up getting poisoned. The smog was out, and through the darkness, the invisible cloud of gas poured through the room, where all was harmed except Hell himself. Protect might have been useful, but everyone needed to breathe sometime. Hopefully none of the gasses would fill in the shield before it was used.

ooc|Muh pokemans are now higher thanks to the rare candies, just to let you know ^^ Jay couldn't see anything, he was basically blind. He listened to the other trainers commands to try and figure out what moves were being used, and by the different shrieks he could tell what pokemon had been hit. "Mizu; Hydro Pump the pokemon where the smog is coming from, Kaen use Focus Energy than attack the other pokemon with Sky Uppercut!" Jay began to cough slightly, his lungs were filled with a purtrid stench.
Both pokemon had been afflicted by leer, both of their defense stats dropped slightly by the Houndoom's leer attack.
Kaen used his focus energy, letting out roars as he powered up as much as he could and then scanned the room for the Mightyena, all of a sudden the Blaziken felt very strong as his attack rose, secondly Kaen felt confused, he stumbled as he hit his head and fell back, he was clearly confused.
"Shit! Kaen, Snap out of it." Jay yelled, he was nervous and scared, with a confused pokemon with lowered defense, Kaen might get a huge hit and faint quickly. Kaen had then been poisoned, his health slowly dropped from being poisoned.
Mizu spotted the Hell hound and decided this would have to be the move, he ran closer to the Canine pokemon and began to shower the pokemon with a powerful hydro pump. The water had been shooting out like a hose, he had been mad. He couldn't see his opponent, he was poisoned, his partner was confused. This just wasn't going well, he let out all his fustration on the Hell hound, hopefully this would do enough damage and get his anger in this battle out.
Coughing slightly, he tried to say "Good job guys, keep it up! Kaen, try to get un-confused!"

OOC: HOLY SHIZZNESS!
BIC:
Rey began swearing profoundly in his mind with the bitterness and realization that if that Hydro Pump actually did hit Hell, he would be knocked out without a doubt. He could hear Mizu’s footsteps even now; the giant tank couldn’t help but be heard by both canines, which started taking faltering steps backwards with uncertainty over the situation. They knew that they had somehow enraged the light Blastoise, his aura seemed much more powerful than before, making him easy to be seen and heard.
“Use Thunder Fang to block it!” Rey shouted out with his worry flowing right out of his mouth, feeling quite helpless through the darkness. He could hear the electricity building up fairly well, and then the water was shot out and then nothing but a yelp. Hell had been hit, with the last of his energy to use the electricity from his fangs onto the water current above him. From what Rey was thinking, the water would act as a conductor, and would lead straight toward the Blastoise. It was only a shame that Hell couldn’t keep it up much longer. With a sigh, he returned the hell hound with the Pokeball in his hands, and tossed out the other one, which remained to be known through the darkness.
“Shadow, combine your Sand Attack and Tackle on the Blazikin. “ He ordered with more assertiveness than usual. It was a good thing that Shadow was still close to the Blazikin, and easily whipped up a blast of sand as a cover up, to hide in the darkness to watch what the confused Pokemon would do. He still had orders to follow, and though he didn’t want to attack such a strong Pokemon, he had to. Charging out from behind, he rammed his body into the Blazikin with all of the power he could gather in order to topple the Pokemon into the ground.

Jay could feel in the air that Mizu's Hydro Pump worked, now it was Shadow left, and another pokemon who hadn't given out it's co-ordinates yet.
"Kaen, Use Double Kick! or try to, Mizu use a Rapid Spin!"
Kaen was still confused, and poisoned. It tried to kick, but it hit itself accidently, for a higher level pokemon the sand-attack that got launched into his eyes and with the Mightyena's tackle attack, he was done with.
"Argh, return Kaen. Go Kama!" Jay said in fustration, he returned the Blaziken who was out on the floor, he shook his head before letting out a electric-pokemon.
Mizu felt a lightning attack hit as it did super-effective damage. This tank could handle it though, he was still very mad as he went into his shell and went on a frenzy, he aimed for the Mightyena as his shell spun quickly.
"Use Focus Blast!" Jay yelled at Kama, the electric-type nodded and proceeded with the Fighting-type move. He quickly went behind Mizu as a sort-of sneak attack, after Mizu hit his target, he would leap high and attack with his blazing fists.

Without Kaen as a light source, Rei’s side of the room remained a deathly shade of night with only his haggard breathing to alert the others to his presence. He had been through quite a bit of attacks, and knew when he was outclassed level wise, but there was always a chance for victory. Time and time again, Gym Battles have often proved that. Either for himself, or for the challenger. But for now, as he watched Mizu come tumbling toward him like a blind bat, he knew he had more advantages than Mizu could ever realize.
The Light Blastoise was simply too easy of a target, and when Mizu was hunched over inside of his shell, it wasn’t all that hard fo0r him to spot Kama charging his Focus Blast. There was a lot to take in at that moment, and all he could do was rely on his instincts to get him through it. With a confident snort, he managed to weave his way around the Blastoise’s violent strike, but the Focus Blast was much too wide and powerful to dodge completely. The top of his back was burned from the super effective attack, and he immediately glared at the Electivire.
“Team up on the Electivire. Use Taunt and Swagger.” Rei was starting to get anxious for results, and it was a good thing that he was flexible in these types of situations. As long as his Pokemon were in the darkness, it was his win for the taking. The two stood on opposite ends of Kama, each of their deep red eyes burned with a strong desire for hate and mischief. A hidden aura leaked out from their bodies, and attempted to swallow Kama whole to tempt him to evil.

Jay shook his head laughing, some how Blastoise had a very clutch move. Wish because he was a Light Blastoise [and I swear Freezie gave him Wish before he gave them all agility, or I wouldn't have been stupid enough to use it. If you want I can dig through my everything and try to find where she said that it knew wish].
"Thunder and Wish!" Jay's command was brilliant.
Electivire feeling a burst of attack power was confused, but was not confused enough to accidently let out a spark of electricity, this was going everywhere! It was a quite wide attack and was aimed at the Mightyena.
Mizu was behind the Electivire sending a wish! to the Electivire, this turn he didn't get healed but in a few seconds he would feel the power of wish.
ooc|Wish is lame, and will not work.

Rey watched the attacks carefully, glaring a bit at the opposite trainer. His vision was extremely clear in the darkness, thus, allowing him to see everything. The light on the torch flickered quickly with the attacks. Though the Electivire's attack was accidental, it was indeed a wide range and shocked the Mightyena, paralyzing it. "Shadow use sand attack, then bite and Hell, use leer, then smog!" Shadow was paralyzed and couldn't move, the waves of electricty moving through his body. This angered Rey a bit and he focused his attention on his Houndoom. Hell quickly shot beams of light towards the Blastoise and then blew out a cloud of poison.

Jay looked as Shadow was paralyzed and Hell was still there, he would have to get rid of Hell as soon as possible. "Okay Mizu Hydro Pump Midnight! Kama use Low Kick on Shadow!" he told his Pokémon.
Mizu felt his defense stat lower slightly, then a large cloud of poison appeared. He aimed for where those attack started and launched a large fast water jet attack to Midnight.
Kama saw small sparks of electricity flowing through Shadow, he used that to his advantage and took a leap of faith, his leg was in front of him as he tried to aim for the Mightyena.

OOC: Then Midnight magically forgets Smog and Leer? Whatever, just so we can continue the roleplay! And eh. I just noticed. (don't bother editing your post, I don't really care) But when something uses Taunt, you can't counter with something silly like Wish. BIC: “Shadow, get out of there with Sand Attack.” Rei ordered with his body leaning forward, getting seriously concerned because all of his Pokemon had some kind of type advantage against the challenger’s Pokemon. It sucked, because usually he prided himself on having a level advantage over his foes but this time it wasn’t the case. All he could do was keep mentally yelling at himself for not training hard enough to prepare him for this type of battle. Shadow had time to react, and sent a blast of sand at Kama at the sight of electric sparks coming from behind him. It was hard to tell what would happen. Would the Electivire get caught off guard and give him an opening to attack? Or was that low Kick still going to connect with him? “Take it and use Swords Dance.” Rei could only hear his opponent’s words, and didn’t doubt that the Hydro Pump was going to be dead on. Midnight lashed out in protest from getting soaked in all of that cold, stinging water, but continued to slash her upper blade around to boost her attack stat. It was funny how the process worked, but her power was growing the more she focused on completing the attack, and finished with a mighty roar. “Now use Bite on Electivire, keep him busy for us.” He had a nervous chuckle as he said this, sensing the risks involved in attacking only one Pokemon. But he was aiming for having Mizu attack Kama with those water cannons. If that could happen, then it would be extremely dangerous to use any electric attack unless Jay wanted to risk injuring his own Pokemon. The Absol gave a faint nod, hurrying to the scene where all of the action was going on. There were two faint figures, but the larger was no friend of hers. She gave only a quiet growl before attempting to latch onto his leg with a bite attack.
