Minum looked over the five pokeballs he carried with him, now. Alakazam would be a final resort, since he could undoubtedly kick their asses. It was formality. Mothula, the Venomoth, was very weak still. He would be used. The same would go for Crimson, the Quilava. "Alright, let's get this challenge going, then!" The latter-most, Crimson, was already out now...circling around in a ferret style. "This'll be nothing!"

Haru strolled out, his haughty attitude clearly showing that he doubed this weakling could beat him. His team was excelent and this early on in the routes, they were very strong compared to some Pokémon.
His bright, eager eyes landed upon the challenger and he greeted them cooly, wanting to get this battle started. "Welcome to your doom." he cackled, before smirking to show he was kidding... kinda. "Two-on-two sound good to you?" he asked, tossing out two of his pokeballs.
His unbeatable duo, Plusle and Minun. They high fived each other, elctrical sparks crackling throughout the arena. Two mirror grins could be seen on their faces as they glared down their one visable opponent. They would dominate.

"Just that? Hm...Fine. I guess I won't risk letting out my little Moth friend for this, quite." Tossing out another pokeball, the Crystal Alakazam expanded out from it, quizzically raising an eyebrow at the two mouse-like creatures, then over at the Quilava next to him. How fun. If nothing else, it would be easy. Alakazam crossed his legs, floating in the air in an unconcerned matter. Moving did not seem a necessity to the Psychic type for this battle.
"I guess he'll fight from where he's at. I'm ready, then. After you." Minum seemed to barely be holding in a laugh.

The referee quickly raised the green flag as a sign the match had begun. Haru wasn't too worried about the Quilava, he had battled those before. He knew how to stop them, however an Alakazam was highly advanced. And Haru acaully felt a sweatdrop appear on his forehead. This would be an interesting battle.
With a sigh, the gym leader gazed at his two pokemon, determination the fuel of his spirit. With a smile, he issued the first orders of the battle. "Plusle! Helping Hand! Minun! Spark!" he yelled, pointing a finger at the Alakazam. Time to see what it was made out of.
The two pokemon charged up with electrical energy, Plusle holding hands with Minun to give the electrical power twice the juice it needed.Helping Hand! This huge ball of crackling energy was then flung at the leviatating pokemon. Spark!

Minum shook his head. "Sad! Alright. Smokescreen, Psybeam. Take out the near-namesake first." While the Alakazam could be seen being knocked out of the air by the spark attack, the Quilava began to create a barrier of smoke between the two parties. Following this, a beam of multiple-colored psychic energy created a spreading hole through the black smoke and headed towards Minun.
After having spread the Smokescreen, the Quilava itself was running around on the very edge of the drawn-out arena, moving through the smoke barrier while leaving the psybeaming Alakazam hidden during its fire. The main strategy, as mentally discussed between the two, was for Crimson to be a distraction. Classic.

A dazzling, toothy grin appeared on Haru's face as the Alakazam got knocked out of the air. His worry evaporated, if they could keep attacks like that up, then he would be able to decapitate the psychic Pokémon. He also sighed exasperatedly as that annoying Quilava bathed the arena in a smokescreen. He hated not being able to see what was going on. "Minun! Thunder Wave! Plusle! Quick attack on the Quilava!" he called.
The Plusle and Minun heard the orders and nodded sharply, the two of them seperating as the cloud of blacksmoke grew denser and denser still. They had to attack while they still knew what was going on. The Plusle, darted towards the edge of the arena, where the smoke was weakest and attempted to find the source. Succeeding, she darted towards the Pokémon with a Quick Attack.
Minun, however was no quite so lucky, he darted into the middle of the cloud and began to charge himself up for the Thunderwave, still trying to locate the hidden Alakazam. Too late, he noticed a multi hued beam shooting through a hole in the screen and hitting dead on. The jolt of electricty he was holding was released, issuing a Thunderwave attack, but the poor electric pokemon, who was half of the level the Alakazam was at, was fainted.

"Stare it down, Crimson!" Watching the passive Quilava(If anyone would like to note as of yet it hasn't physically attacked) tumble over and over from the quick attack, it was then seen to jump up and literally just leer at Plusle. "Alakazam, recover for the next attack." Minum smirked. Quilava taking damage wasn't of much concern when the only other ally hit, Alakazam, could recover his health while under the cover of a smokescreen. Between the level difference, the Psychic pokemon may have even been able to restore itself to full health using recover.
Minum's only issue was how small Plusle was. It had a good chance of dodging both Quilava and Alakazam when they joint-attacked soon. Perhaps another smokescreen and then have Alakazam dash through to grab Plusle for seismic toss...

Plusle stared at the leering Quilava with curiousty, she had just dealt a painful blow and all it was doing was leering? The electric mouse pokemon returned the glare with a scowl, before bounding away from the Quilava. Something wasn't right here, she knew that much. Anyways, she had to meet up with Minum for the next attack.
It was with shocked horror that she found the still body of her partner. What? There was no way he could've been knocked out that fast! With a scream of shock, the pokemon plucked up her battling bud, and best friend and sprinted out of the smokescreen. She ran over to her Gym leader and placed the still body of the pokemon at his feet.
Haru went pale, Minum had fainted after one attack? Now he was worried, but took it in stride, letting about a deep breath as he called back his pokemon. "Go back out there Plusle, find that Alazakam and advenge your bud. Spark." he said, before letting out another small mouse.
The Pichu let out a small cheer, happy that he was able to particpate in the battle, blissfully anware of what happened to his comrade. <Let's do it!> he cheered. Haru grimly gave him the same attack and orders.
The two pokemon wprinted off together in the smokescreen. The Plusle strained her eyes to spot the Alakazam. Seeing a small glimmer, that sparkled when the pokemon was using recover, the pokemon yelled out an order to the Pichu and together they aimed a Spark attack at the pokemon hidden in the screen.

"Nice try, but if a helped spark didn't take him down, a normal one won't now that he's recovered!" True to this, though it may have done even more damage this time due to them both using it plus the assumption Plusle might actually be working that much harder from Minun's fall. Alakazam didn't bother to even attempt a dodge, but mentally growled as he took both attacks head on. Seeing as it would take a few moments for him to respond to any given order, Minum yelled out, "Quilava, reapply the Smoke!" Not more than thirty seconds after the dual-spark, smoke began to appear between Alakazam and the Mice. "Seismic Toss!" This was one advantage to having a psychic type such as Alakazam; no need to yell out an attack and tip off the opponent.
With no hurry, the Alakazam slowly walked through the smoke to reach out and grab at the first Pokémon he could find in the general direction of the two mice pokémon. Minum was just laughing at watching this-he was almost confident that by the time the smoke was completely cleared it would be nearly over anyway.

Haru could only watch in terrified awe as the white explosion and horrifing thud from the Seismic toss only meant the worst for him. Either another pokemon of his had been knocked out ruthlessly or was acaully dead. Haru was acually considering calling off the battle right now, but he knew that both of his pokemon would keep fighting.
The Pichu, poor thing, hardly lasted a moment in the battle, despite being two levels stronger than the other electric mice. The Alazakam was just too strong and as soon as the white light exploded around him and he was crashed to the ground, he knew it was over.
The Plusle, stood in stunned shock as another comrade was quickly taken out, with a battle hardened cry, the pokemon didn't wait for an oder from his trainer to attack. Too fixated on revenge was the pokemon. Nearly ready to explode in anger, the pokemon unleashed a Thunderwave that if you touched would be instantly paralyzed.

Quilava, having maneuvered around behind Plusle, was actually rushing at him at this point. Alakazam didn't quite bother dodging, though it was hard to tell if Minum even tried to tell him to or not. Either due to not receiving an order, passiveness, or the resulting stun(Though truthfully it was the latter-most), Alakazam did not move yet.
On the flipside, aforementioned Quilava jumped into the air and actually fired an ember attack down at the Plusle. The oddest thing happening was that without any resulting command, Alakazam returned itself in a surrendering manner. In its own opinion, this did not seem necessary. Minum blinked a few times, taking about thirty seconds of silence. "...Well...I still have one more left, since we're going for three and Alakazam is my first, uh....down? I'll be fair and not send out my next unless Crimson goes down, alright?" Despite the new happenings, this was still a matter of great amusement.
Worst case scenario, Lucario would have to come out and do some clean-up. The consolation of this was that Quilava certainly could not and would not kill, and Lucario if needed wouldn't either. Alakazam did not hold back earlier, regardless.

Haru was silent as well, but more because of shock. The Alakazam had taken out his strongest pokemon, who normally never battled because the duo beat anyone before he came out. The gym leader clenched his fists, the referee staring on in stunned awe. He had never seen someone take out the gym leader like this.
As the Alakazam disspersed back into his ball, Haru paid no mind, seizing this change to turn the tide. "Plusle! You can do this! Quick Attack!" he yelled, knowing that the pokemon would dodge the attack if he could.
The Plusle, fueled by it's anger, and shock, heard the pitter pattering off footsteps racing towatds him. Although basically blind by this point, he rolled to the side, managing to escape with only a few burns. He turned, a full 360 and sprintd towards the Quilava with a thunderously fast Quick Attack.

The Quilava blinked a few times, having time to turn-its feet moved but it didn't really go anywhere as Plusle hit its back side and sent it flying through the air, legs flailing wildly in an attempt to move. Regardless, the flaming ferret-like pokemon would hit the nearest wall or whatever was closest and fall. If nothing else, Haru had actually managed to KO Crimson. Between that and Alakazam surrendering of its own will, they were actually both down to: One pokemon.
"Well, Luke was getting a bit restless without any action. Here we GO!" Yelled out Minum in the meanwhile, returning Crimson before throwing out his so-called finisher...a Lucario. More frightening than that was the odd and large bone in its hand. Without much order it proceeded in rushing towards Plusle regardless of what it might try; his trainer expected that Plusle would keep attacking from sheer rage. Obviously, the fighting-type Lucario wouldn't mind taking a hit or two while moving in for its bone rush attack.

[[Wow. You really evened things up didn't you? xP ]]
Haru blinked in shock, nearly unable to believe that Plusle had just K.O.'ed a Quilava. Sure, he had done it before, but against this trainer, he had expected all the pokemon to be massively strong. Taking a deep breath, he let out a sigh of relief, and a small confadent smirk appeared on his face again.
He had this in the bag.
"Plusle! You know what to do!" he yelled, eyeing the newcomer curiously as he gave his pokemon the code for an attack combo.
The eletric pokemon hopped around in joy for moment, pleased he was able to avenge his comrades somehow. Hearing the command, he quickly performed the requested attack. Charging up with a Thunderwave attack, he held the eletricity within him with extreme concentration, and started running towards the pokemon. While running, he converted the electricity into a Spark attack, so it was a Spark, but with a larger chance of paralyzing.
Releasing the small ball of crackling electricity, the pokemon reeled back, not wanting be anywhere near that creepy bone. Was it his imagination or did he see blood on it?

Luke let out a growl, clenching his 'open' hand. While the attack made contact, the pure bone itself actually detracted a bit of electricity, stopping any stun effect it may have had. While still hurt as he would be by a normal spark, the Lucario released the bone and held up a hand for its next move. The little mouse was obviously too fast to get close to effectively. <"Weak. Come'on, get a little closer, Mouse! Free shot."> Minum yelled out 'Force Palm'. The Lucario held up a hand and fired off a Dark Pulse at the Plusle. <"If you can still move after this!">
Minum hit himself in the face with his palm in an annoyed manner, but shrugged it off. As far as he was concerned, there was very little chance of losing this battle. Besides, if Plusle got close, Metal claw ought to make nice work of him. As before, Luke had much different plans if Plusle tried to get all up-close-and-personal. Something he figured would spell the end of the battle, regardless.

The small mouse pokemon was indeed one fast pokemon, he had been trained for this very purpous, not for attack power, but for his agility and quick, painful strikes. His counterpart had been on the powerful, forceful side. Minum had always been the first one knocked out, if the battle ever got that far. The pokemon was too slow, mentally and speed-wise. He had up for what his partner lacked though, and hopefully he'd be able to last through this battle. Although as he was hit by the Dark Pulse, since he wasn't expecting the attack and it had been moving extremely fast. Winded the pokemon fell back, pain on his expression.
Haru watched as the ivory stained bone, crackled with electricity as the bone acted like an attracter, some of the attack, losing power and getting trapped within the bone. Although the Spark attack had done some reasonable damage, it wasn't enough. The spikey haired blonde, paused for a moment, observing the battle, before yelling out his orders. "ALL RIGHT! Plusle! Growl then Quick attack!" he yelled, watching as the attacks were put together.
Plusle nodded sharply and took a deep breath, before marching up to the massive pokemon and growled, cutely, a small heart appearing besides the pokemon. Then without warning the pokemon lunged at the Lucario with a Quick Attack.
