Chris and Abel walked through the mountains, tired from the amount of time they had spent lost. "I don't know how much longer I can go on" Chris gasped, falling to his knees. Abel was also tired, but not as much as Chris was. The Charmander looked at the markings on his right arm with worry. "Forget about the markings for a moment" Chris told his Pokemon. "We should just focus on getting some rest." Abel nodded and curled up with Chris, yawning slightly. Chris didn't let this show, but he was also worried about Abel's markings. Recently, they had been in a lot of dangerous situations and in every single case, the marks on his arms and legs seemed to glow a brief moment before it happened. "It's just coincidence" Chris told himself. "And the markings can't glow. Your tiredness is just playing tricks on your mind."

((If you want to participate in the plot... you'll have to get Saki to reply. Or post in the plot board thingy...))
Hopping up and down the rocky areas, a little human-like pokemon leaped. It would alternte between punching and kicking, before jumping to another stone.
"Tyroooo~!"
Beads of sweat dripped off the pokemon's forehead as it executed its daily routine. Training, training, and more training. One day, it was going to be the best!

((Yeah, I know that. I already asked her, but she hasn't replied. So I've been waiting)) Abel looked up at the little Pokemon moving around. <Chris, wake up> he whispered, shaking his sleeping trainer. When Chris didn't answer, Abel just sighed and continued to watch the Pokemon. Just then, Ghostfreak released himself and fired a Shadow Ball near Tyrouge. <What the hell was that for?> Abel asked furiously.

"Ty!" Training interrupted, fighting-type was furious. With a cry of anguish, it lunged forward, thrusting his firsts at arrogant Gastly. ... Only he punched clear through the pokemon. Physical attacks worthless, young Tyrogue changed his focus to evasion.

<Ghostfreak, you idiot!> Abel yelled, firing Embers at the Gastly. <Stop this right now!> Ghostfreak then did something that surprised Abel. He nodded and returned to his Pokeball. Abel went over to Tyrouge. <Sorry about Ghostfreak. He's sorta disobedient> Abel admitted, embarrassed.

<That's okay...> Rage hastily dissipating, Tyrogue shrugged. He leapt into the air, coming down and smashing a large boulder with only his fist. It shattered, turning into nothing more than a pile of dust. <Training is the only thing that's important to me; something that pathetic pokemon would never be able to understand>

Abel was surprised at the Tyrouge's strength. <Mind if I train with you?> he asked. <Maybe then I can get stronger so I can help Chris with his goal.>

The pokemon shrugged, stepping out of the way. <Can you smash this boulder?> He asked, a knowing smile creeping over his face.

Abel looked at the boulder and a smile grew on his face. <I know I can at least crack it!> he declared, delivering all of his power into a punch. At first it seemed like it had no effect, but the boulder cracked before falling apart. <Man, that hurt. But at least I did it> he said happily, looking at the pile of rubble he had created.

Tyrogue laughed, scratching the back of his head nervously. <Good job! I didn't think it was even going to crack... I guess I underestimated you!> Another lightning-quick blow was delivered to a nearby boulder, completely shattering it. <Buuuut you still have work to do~> Arrogant pokemon chided, pleased with his own work. <anyways, in order to train you'd either have to stay here, or I'd have to go with you. Your call. ... As long as that idiotic Gastly doesn't get in my way.> Folding his arms in front of his chest, Tyrogue glared.

Abel gave a smile. <Don't worry, I'm the only one who's beaten Ghostfreak before, so I'm positive he won't interfere anymore> he said. He suddenly looked shocked as he noticed Chris wasn't there anymore. Chris then came up to the Charmander with a smile. "I traded Ghostfreak for another Pokemon" he said, throwing a Pokeball in the air. "Introducing Krystal!" A Crystal Espeon appeared on his shoulder, rubbing her head against his cheek. <Anyway, you wanna come with us?> Abel asked the Tyrouge.

Fighting-type grinned. <Sure! I'll come! I'm always eager for a challenge!> He flexed his muscles, waiting for the inevitable pokeball-throw.

Chris already knew what was happening, so he picked up a Pokeball from his pocket and threw it. Krystal leapt down and walked over to Abel, smiling at him.

The pokeball hardly shook at all, rolling to a stop at the trainer's feet.

Chris smiled and took the Pokeball, watching as it vanished. "I'll have to replace something in order to put Tyrogue in" he thought, watching Krystal happily running around Abel. "Krsytal is so like my sister" he whispered as he sat down.

The song arose, but what else can you expect when on the mountain range? It was, of course, the one and only song of Princess Tanali. A spirit re-awakened after Cheyenne was destroyed. Why? No one is too sure. But the song seemed to come from no where in particular. It was ghostly, and beautiful, but the echoeing of its voice ceased and it was clear the sound came from directly behind Chris.
"Troubled boy, what brings you to the mountains which separate the lands of our world?" She spoke calmly, and gently. Tall, and floating but an inch off the ground. Her dress was white, and all of her was almost transparent. A whisp of cold air settled around her, and at her feet was the steady breath of fog. "It's so dangerous out there now. Tell me, are you from Chai Region? Or are you of the Team Death Territory?"

Chris spun around and looked at Tanali, a little afraid at first. However, he calmed down quickly and spoke to her. "I came here to search for my sister" he explained. "She's the only surviving member of my family. The rest were killed in a horrible fire." He began to cry at this memory, so Krystal moved forward to fill in the rest of the details. Quickly taking the amulet from Chris' neck, she flipped it open and showed Tanali the photo. <Have you by any chance seen her?> Krystal asked, pointing her tail towards the little girl in the photo.

The spirit's head spun, trying to remember. "There have been so many years on this mountain. So many people have crossed. And so many have passed on by now. But this girl seems to stick out in my memory. Interesting. I know I've seen her. But to decifer where she's gone, that is almost impossible. You see. During the flood in Cheyenne, many died. The survivors have fled to a new region, Chai Region. Some have betrayed Professor Sakura, and turned to Team Death. This girl."
Tanali rest a gentle hand on the boy's shoulder. Was it possible? For him to feel her touch? "If she is not in either, then she is, I am afraid, dead. Dear boy, may I ask your name?"

"I do not remember much, but I remember that I go by the name Chris" he answered. He had originally been too afraid to admit this, even to his Pokemon (especially Abel), but a few years ago he had been attacked while looking for food for him and the Charmander while they lived together. He didn't see who had attacked him, but it had taken away most of his memories. The name Chris, the knowledge of his family and the Charmander he had rescued remained however. He wasn't even sure about who he really was. ((Interesting huh?))

"Well to find your family, you'll have to look." Tanali's image slowly faded, and she became more transparent. "Return here as soon as you find out anything." And with that..the spirit disappeared.
The only thing that remained was the soft song of her's carrying in the wind.
