Alivia stood up and nodded. "Sure! A battle sounds delightful! Since you're using Flying Types, I'll use Flying Types, too!" she declared, taking out two Pokeballs. "And I'm sorry if I have to beat you." She giggled to herself and threw up the two Pokeballs. "Alright, Jitter and Noirre! It's your turn!" she declared. In two flashes of white light, a Chatot and Murkrow appeared, Jitter being the Chatot and Noirre being the Murkrow. Noirre was perched on the ground while Jitter was hovering next to her in the air. "Alright, I'll take the first move," Alivia decided. "Noirre, I want you to use Pursuit, and Jitter, I want you to wait a few seconds." She had something special planned for her Chatot. Jitter nodded and kept his eyes on the opponents, waiting for a command from his trainer. However, Noirre lifted into the air and dove at the Hoothoot, picking out the owl since Alivia had failed to mention a target. Her beak was glowing a dull purple color as she powered up for the Dark move Pursuit.

Garret let out a fearless grin, and you knew right there, with the ease he smiled, his posture just oozed calmness. Although he was about to start a battle, he was completely relaxed and ready. He had been through thick and thin with his pokemon... and it showed. His piercing amber eyes watched the pokemon that appeared before his eyes. He always liked having the advantage of flying over other pokemon, but oh well. He'd dealt with this before, he could do it again. "Dodge Hoot! Then Growl and Tackle! Chirp! Gust!" he finally yelled
The HootHoot hovered in the air, it's single leg moving with the wings beat a cocky smirk on the flying pokemon's face. He quickly glanced at his long time partner to give him a wink good luck, but lucky for him, he turned just in time to hear a calm, but stern 'Dodge' form his trainer. Without thinking he stopped flapping his wings and plummeted to the ground before the attack could hit. Looking up he spotted the deadly beak of the Murkrow. <Ha.> he scoffed.
He quickly followed his trainer's orders though and let out a cutesy hoot, letting it ring throughout the clearing, his self-esteem unimpacted at having to do such a feminmine attack. The growl attack accomplished, the Hoothoot geared up, gaining momentenium before soaring towards the Murkrow with a Tackle attack.
The Pidgey was slightly confused as to why he was not recieving an attack, and agreed with his trainer's choice. Better to stay his distance until he knew what they were up to. And so he performed a Gust wracking up dust, debris and strong wind with his powerful wings.

Alivia smiled. This would be great practice for her Gym battle, this two-on-two Pokemon battle. She hadn't had a two-on-two trainer battle before. Just that one battle a while ago with her two Pokemon against like three.
Noirre's attack was lowered slightly by the Growl attack, but she dipped her wing to the left and managed to evade the Tackle attack this time. She pulled around, facing the Hoothoot.
"Now, Noirre, use Astonish! Mirror Move, Jitter!" Alivia cried. She loved that move, Mirror Move. It was an effective little attack. Sure, her Pokemon would take some damage but most of the time it took opponents off guard to have their attack used right back on them.
It had worked on the last Pidgey she had battled. Why not this one?
Jitter spread his wings to use them as a sort of parachute against the Gust, but the whipping wind still cut against his skin and feathers breifly before his eyes glowed a light blue color. Suddenly, he started to vigorously flap his wings, creating his own Gust of wind.
Meanwhile, Noirre started his own attack. She dove at the Hoothoot, then flared her wings up suddenly and let out a loud, cacaphonous sound and made a scary face, trying to scare the Hoothoot into hurting itself.

Garrett watched the proceeding battle with his amber eyes, his face never once changing emotion until the very end, where he burst out smiling and turned to his pokemon yelling. "Good Job guys!" he yelled as thier turn finished, his pokemon were determined to win the battle, and all he wanted to do was to encourage that. So with a delighted grin he yelled out some more orders. "Hoot! Hypnosis! Chirp! DODGE! Sand Attack! Hide!" he yelled a plan formulating in his mind.
The Hoothoot softly preened her feathers at the trainer's words of praise, the annoying Murkrow may have dodged, but she knew that when her attack connected it would be brutally painful. Her brown feathers glossy and perfect, the Hoothoot soared into the air to face her opponent.
Her red eyes attempted to fallow the speedy flight pattern of the dark flying type, and just as she was about to dodge, the Astonish hit. Sending a shudder down her body at the shear suprise at the sudden goosenumps on her body. A little dazed, but she didn't Flinch. So she stared stright ahead at the Lurkrow and send out sleep waves. An Hynposis attack!
The Pidgey seemed rather stunned that his own attack was being used against him, his mind was reeling as the Gust came towards him and it was only when it was too late that the attack struck him and he was stuck in the whirling vortex until the attack died down.
Grimacing, he quickly cleared his mind and used Sand-Attack kicking up so much dirt it was impossible to see the figure through the sandy grit. While the sand was flung at the Chatot, the Pidgey snuck away and hid right above the annoying pokemon. Then waiting for perfect timing, he dive bombed the pokemon with a Tackle attack.

Alivia's eyes widened as she saw what the Hoothoot was planning. She looked about frantically, hoping that the Hypnosis attack wouldn't work. "Noirre! Dodge or something!" she commanded.
However, Noirre felt herself growing drowsy as she stared at her opponent. Her eyes drooped, then she fell from the sky and landed hard on the ground. However, she was asleep and felt nothing.
"Alright, Jitter, you're going to have to work on that Pidgey! Use Mirror Move again then watch out for that Tackle attack!" Alivia called, glancing worriedly at her Murkrow. She would have to try to wake her wake before she was completely owned.
Jitter saw the Sand-Attack coming, then his eyes glowed a bright blue for an instant as the Sand-Attack blinded him for a second, then he started to flap his wings vigorously, as if getting ready for Gust, but he kicked up a gust of Sand instead, hoping to dually blind the Pidgey.
He wanted to dodge the Tackle attack, but he didn't see where it was coming from until it was too late. He tumbled through the sky, but snapped his wings open to steady himself.

Hoothoot smiled, the Hypnosis working thus, allowing her to go in for a peck attack on the sleeping Chatot. The Pidgey on the other hand was hit with gust and thrown against the tree. He was very weak and couldn't take this much longer; the Hoothoot was much stronger. So, in order to continue this battle, Pidgey did a gust of his own.
Pidgey used Gust! Hoothoot used Peck!

[OOC: OMG You're my favorite. But Chatot's not asleep. Just clearing that up! ._.; I'm still uber-glad you've replied.] "Noirre! Please wake up! Please!" Alivia called, clasping her hands together. She wanted to spend more time yelling at her Murkrow, but she had to pay attention to her other Pokémon. "Jitter, use Mirror Move!" It was, like, her favorite attack now. Jitter nodded absent-mindedly and took the hit. He didn't have to take the brunt of the attack, though, as he soon started to flap his wings and turn the Gust attack against his opponent. Noirre wasn't having as much luck as Jitter was. Being asleep and all, she couldn't exactly dodge the attack, or even know that she was under attack. So, she suffered the brunt of the Peck attack.

Garret frowned once again, as his pokemon suffered from the vicious blows from the opponent pokemon. Worried, he might have been, but he kept his cool and shouted out his comands and offered support when the flying-types were looking down. "Come you guys can do this! Hoot! Peck! Chirp! Tackle!" he said, watching the battle intently, mumbling quietly to himself the entire while.
The Hoothoot squawked in delight as the Murkrow remained steadily asleep and attacked once more with a Peck attack, this one was lighter though, since she didn't want to rouse the sleeping pokemon.
The Pidgey was whiplashed backwards with the Gust attack and he chirped angriliy. He was tired of that darn Chatot coping everything he did! With a snarl he growled a complaint to anyone that would listen. <Miserable bird! You can't think for yourself can you?>
Fueled by his fury he whipped up a large, powerful gust of wind and sent it flying towards the Chatot. Chirp watched with hope hoping that the flying type would take the brunt of the attack and get seriously damaged.

Alivia bit her bottom lip in worry. Her Murkrow could do nothing about the attack coming her way and was hit. She rolled over slightly and clicked her beak. She remained sound asleep.
"Noirre! Wake up darnnit! Gah! WAKE UP!" Alivia bellowed. She felt like throwing something at her Pokemon but new that was hardly called for. She turned momentarily to her Chatot. "Jitter! Use Peck!"
Jitter squawked his replied. He ignored the comment made by the Pidgey, as he was quite fine with taking commands from Alivia. That was his job. Take commands and do as he was told. Alivia was a nice girl, anyway. Chirp was just jealous. And wow, it hadn't even followed directions!
Alivia's Chatot was tired of getting hit by the Gust attacks. Sure, he was only taking minumal damage, but it had started to add up and he wasn't feeling so hot.
So, he zipped around the gust of wind, skirting the gale, and then flapped his wings once and launched himself at the Pidgey, his beak glowing as he powered up for a Peck attack.

Garret scowled at his bird's disobiedience, sure, he didn't mind if they wanted to try something of their own during a wild pokemon battle or during a training session. But, hell, he was in front of a trainer and his pokemon had bluntly ignored him. "Chirp." he growled, warning laced through his tone. "Dodge and TACKLE." he snapped. "Hoot! Keep it up!"
The Pidgey sweatdropped at his trainer's glare, he visably shrank at Garret's disappointment and turned towards the battle, head bowed down. It quickly snapped back up though at the sound of the other pokemon flying towards him. He attempted to duck under the pokemon, but only managed to get hit squarely in the gut. A squawk of pain escaped, as a large chunk of his health vanished. CRITICAL HIT.
Breathing heavily, the Pidgey managed to stay in the air, but was indeed having trouble staying upright. So, with haste, before he fell over, he charged at the Chatot with a Tackle attack.
Hoot was getting rather bored, her friend was getting all the action while she was stuck attacking a dead bird. Boredly, she attacked the Murkrow once again, vaguley hoping that the pokemon might wake up. The Peck attack was aimed towards the pokemon's head this time.

"Jitter! Take care of yourself for a while!" Alivia demanded. She turned to give her full attention to her sleeping Murkrow. "Noirre! I demand that you wake up this instant, young lady! You are in the middle of a battle! SO GET UP!"
It seemed that the yelling finally got through the bird's thick skull. She was roused by the screaming and lifted her head in time to see the Hoothoot flying toward her. She gave a loud screech and flapped her wings once to get airborne, but her tail feathers were taken out.
"Murk!" she scrowled, glaring daggers at the Hoothoot. Alivia sighed, relaxing her shoulders and bowing her head in relief. Finally! Her Murkrow was awake! She knew the bird wasn't going to last long, though. One more hit, she felt for sure.
"Nightshade!" Alivia commanded, glancing fleetingly at her Chatot. She was worried about her parot-like Pokemon, but he was in better shape than Noirre.
Noirre opened her beak and let out a low keening, then dark energy formed in front of her. It was like a small sheild of darkness, though it did not work as a shield. Out from the swirling vortext came a beam of dark energy that flew toward the Hoothoot.
Meanwhile, Jitter was dealing with the formidable Pidgey. He squawked angrily at the Pidgey came at him for a Tackle attack. He gave a mighty flap of his wings and zipped around the Pidgey, then followed right after Chirp, trying to hit it with Peck attack.

Garrett's brow furrowed deeply at the sight of the woken Murkrow, it was so much easier when you only had one pokemon to focus on and God knows Chirp needed all the help he would get. So he glanced fleetingly at his Hoothoot, before refocusing on the raging battle between the Pidgey and Chatot. " Chirp! Dodge then Peck! Hoot Dodge! Peck!" he yelled, slightly frazzled.
The Pidgey let out a low moan of frustration as the Chatot zipped out of his sight, he spun around attempting to locate the elusive bird. Chirp succeced, coming face-to-face with the opponent and being delivered a crushing blow that deemed him unconcious.A dangerously blue beak ducked towards him and he was out like a light. He fell through the sky, but Garett recalled him before the bird could break anything.
Hoot was slightly pleased at the sight of the angered, black bird. Although as he was hit by the Nightshade he shuddered violently as the black cloak envolved him for split seconds. Pained, and dazed he gazed at the Murkrow for a moment before leaping into action with a Peck attack.
Chirp has fainted! Jitter gains a level!

Alivia hopped up happily, squealing in delight, but she quickly regained her composure in order to keep from looking like a sore loser. She stood still as Jitter came and perched on her shoulder and she watched the rest of the fight.
"Dodge and use Nightshade again!" Alivia commanded, lifting one hand up to stroke the back of Jitter's next. He cooed happily, closing his eyes against the pleasureable scratching.
With a poweful flap of her wings, Noirre barely avoided the Peck attack. By now she was breathing heavily, and she knew next time she was going down. She had to end this quickly, and therefore wasted no time in blasting her Dark attack at the Hoothoot.

With Noirre’s beautiful dodge, Hoot was left with practically no time to figure out what should be done, and what couldn’t be done. From her exposed back-side, she was struck by the Night Shade, and sent crashing into a gathered pile of bushes. It was a good thing she wasn’t so high up in the air, since she had such tiny wings, there was no way she would be able to stay high for long. Not at her level, at least.
It had been a good battle, but she remained dazed and confused from her spot in the bushes. Too tired, and too exhausted to remove herself from her spot. It just wasn’t worth pushing herself to the limit in some fight. But she was proud of her effort, and to Garett, that was all that mattered. He returned her to her Pokeball, as he gave a weak smile over to Alivia. Almost embarrassed that he lost, but they hadn’t lost without putting up a fight.
”Thank you. I bet my Team gained some levels after that battle. They say that Pokemon gain levels faster when battling other Trainers. Even when they lose. So I can’t feel bad.” He chuckled nervously, not quite sure what to do with himself now. But he felt like it would probably be best to head to the nearest Pokemon Center, so he quickly departed down the opposite path, finding a short cut to the nearest Pokemon Center.
Hoot has fainted. Noirre gains a level.

[OOCL D= Aw! I just remembered Murkrow have Insomnia!]
Noirre squawked with victory, but it was short lived. She had barely made it out of that battle. Her wing flaps faultered and she quickly declined, falling faster than she have been. She was too tired to even stay airborne.
Alivia gasped and ran over to catch her Pokemon before she hurt herself and she hugged the Murkrow to her chest. "Noirre! You did so great! Yes! Yes!" she cooed, stroking her bird's head. Noirre crooned happily despite her tiredness.
Jitter fluttered his wings and let out a loud "So great! Yes!" he cried as he vigorously flapped his wings. Alivia giggled and returned both of her Pokemon to their Pokeballs and turned to the boy she had just battled and smiled brightly.
"Oh, no! Thank you! That was a great battle! It was nice to have met you!" she called after him as he went to find a Pokemon Center. Alivia continued to smile to herself and she sat against a tree, taking a small rest. She still needed some more experience for her Pokemon. That battle was fun, but she didn't think her Pokemon were ready for a Gym match.

[[ Haha nice. Well you could say she was just very tired. xDD ]]
It was fairly quiet, the wind rustled the bare, bleak branches of the trees. It was getting chiller by the minute and most of the pokemon were huddling up in their hidy-holes. However there was one small creature, an explorer to braved the elements to find the elusive Rattata.
The Sentret, peeped over a fallen log, scanning the path carefully, before skittering across quickly. Once across and safly on the other side, he ventured deeper into the forest and closer to the town. He needed to find that annoying purple pokemon. That lousy rat was not going to take his sparkly thing that easily. Frustrated, but knowing the burrow had to be somewhere around here, he kept looking.
He came across a tree and spotted Alivia. He grinned, knowing a human would be able to see further than him. <Hey!Hey! Can you help? I'm looking for a Rattata. Do you see any?> he called, scampering up to the trainer.
A Sentret has appeared. ::sentret:: ::male::

Alivia blinked down at the Sentret. She had been at training for a while now, and she had picked up a little Pokespeech, but she still wasn't as good as some trainers. "Um. . . A Rattata?" she ventured, glancing around.
She had no clue why this little Pokemon would be looking for a Rattata, but she stood up and peered around. She couldn't see any on the path, and she couldn't see very deep into the forest, but she looked for a few seconds before turning back to the Sentret.
"Ah, no. I don't see one," she said apologetcially, shaking her head. "Why do you need a Rattata?"

The Sentret looked frightfully hopeful as the trainer stood up to her ful hight, which was extremely high for such a small Pokémon. At the trainer's repsonse though, the Sentret cast his gaze downwards, hope trickling out of the Pokémon like water trickling out of a cooler. [[xDD]]
The Sentret was not one to stay depressed for long and he quickly perked back up again, answering the trainer's question with renewed spunk. <Oh well it's a long story!> he said, but that didn't stop him from rattling on. <So yeah. I have this sparkling thing that a trainer gave me, I don't know what it's for but it's very cool and so I hid it in my burrow. It across that path and by the river. But yeah.> here he took a breath and started again.
<I was going back home and I saw something purple come out of my burrow and I chased after it because you know, it's not nice to go into someone elses home. So yeah. I didn't catch it though and I went back home and my sparkly thing was gone! So now I'm looking for the Rattata.> he said, nodding brightly.
<Do you want to help? I'll give you something nice!> he added, relizing that having a trainer on his side could be a very good thing.

Alivia blinked at the Pokemon and stared at him for a few seconds before she realized what it was saying. She hadn't totally understood the story, but the Pokemon needed her help, so she nodded.
"Yeah. I'll get someone else to help us, too," she said, pulling out a Pokeball and letting out her Chatot, Jitter. She looked to her Pokemon, smiling. "Ok, Chatot. We're looking for a Rattata with something shiny."
Jitter nodded as she floated in the air, flapping his wings. "Shiny!" he declared, opening his small, curved beak. He looked side to side, his eyes narrowing.
Alivia turned to the Sentret and crouched down. "Ok. Where did you see the Rattata going?" she asked. They would need some sort of lead if they were going to find out where the Rattata was. She felt like she was a detective right then.

The Sentret hopped in delight, balancing on his striped tail with practiced ease, <Yay! Thank you!> he yelled, spinning around midair in delight. As the Chatot popped out of the orb, the Sentret waved happily at the flying-type!
<Hi! Ooh! you have wings! That means you'll be able to see really far!> the Sentret said, excitment, seeping into his tone. He looked around, after recieving the question from Alivia. <Oh. Oh!> he said, before spotting the path, he had run across it. It was the path he had been following. He pointed directly in front of him. <That a way!>[/]b he yelled, before scampering off.
Meanwhile, in the direction the Sentret had pointed a Rattata was lounging by a tree, munching on a salvaged berry he had 'found' in someone's nest. A shiny thing was placed beside him and he was planning on taking it to his nest or to market to sell it. Shiny things were always a big hit!
