Aurora walked into the Gym arena, where here she would face her very first Gym. Future TD member and yet, she had to raise her ranks before Aurora even thought about applying.
"I've come to challenge you!"
Aurora spoke loud enough for her voice to echo, she wanted to get this over with already.

"The name's Haru, girl." A man walked out of the shadows, holding a Pokeball in his hand. "So, you've come to challenge me?" He smirked. It was his third year in winning, and there was no such thing as losing to a girl with no badges and only a bunch of low-leveled Pokemon. Or, at least he hoped she had low-leveled Pokemon. The bad thing about being a gym leader - you never knew what Pokemon your opponent had. And your opponent knew just about everything possible about you.
"Okay, so you're first," he said, releasing two of his Pokemon quickly. They were a Plusle and Minun, both level fifteen. He should be happy to have such cute Pokemon, but most all he thought about was winning and losing. And the stupidness of Pokemon who didn't listen to him perfectly. Of course... his Pokemon were the best and they all were awesome, but this was only his third year in the running. And winning, of course.
[[Sorry, I'm out of muse. Been sleeping late these days, and I haven't been able to get on because of my mom. ><;]]

Aurora smirked, pushing back her medium long black hair as her dark black eyes narrowed to see the two Pokemon. "Okay Haru, I choose...Charmander and Aron" Aurora spoke slowly, pulling out two Pokeballs and throwing them into the air. The first landed, a Shadow Charmander and the second, an Aron. "Okay, let's start off simple, I'd hate to overwhelm you any."
Aurora laughed as she nodded to her Pokemon, "Charmander, Smokescreen and ember on Plusle. Aron, use mud slap then headbutt on Minun now!"
Charmander was quick, he opened his mouth to let out the thick black smoke before running into the middle to blow bits of flame and ember at the Plusle. Aron took this opportunity to get into the smoke too and throw his mud slap towards the Minun and then run at it with a headbutt.

The Minun was taken by surprise, the Mud Slap hitting him as he fell backwards. <That - that hurt!> he commenced, glaring at the Aron. He managed to dodge the Headbutt though, and that cost him quite a bit of energy. At least he dodgd the Headbutt. Because or else that would hurt him, and hurt him bad.
Smokescreen was not an attack that helped the Plusle. She screamed in frustration as she couldn't see anyone, and she couldn't really do anything if there wasn't anyone to do it at. She backed into Minun, and they shook hands quickly. Then they turned back to back and glared at the fog around them, blocking their vision. They whispered to each other quickly, then returned to glaring. Then they concentrated, and used a Spark attack together, and it binded. It then became smaller pieces of electricity, and they shot off in different ways. Although if one hit, it wouldn't hurt much, it would still do damage, and there was more of a chance to hit the Charmander and the Aron, now their foes.
Haru smiled. His Pokemon weren't doing so bad. Yet their condition wasn't very good, and Haru felt concerned for what might happen to them next. He wasn't a trainer who didn't care for his Pokemon. He cared, and he wanted to make sure they weren't really and truly hurt.

Charmander and Aron were both hit by spark. Luckily, because of the Aron's type, it didn't effect him very much and the Charmander was Shadow so, he had super attack. Aurora watched the Plusle and Minun, deciding if it's team work they want, it's team work they will get. "Let's go Swords dance and Ember Charmander! Aron, use Harden, then headbutt again!"
The Charmander quickly shook his body, swords moving around him before he blew out flames and bits for an ember attack. The Aron quickly allowed his body to harden before he ran at the Minun with another attempt at a Headbutt attack. ::MODCOIN::

The two little mouse Pokemon heard the trainer's commands and waited for the attacks to come. They turned side by side, holding paws, and waited for their opponents to appear and do what their trainer had told them to. But would they see the attacks in time to get out of the way?
Well, the Plusle did. However, the little blue Minun didn't have quite as good as sight as his partner. He was unaware of the danger coming at him and his female counterpart. However, because Lightning was the sweetheart she was, she didn't just scamper out of the way. No, instead she shoved her comrade out of the way and the took the brunt of both attacks, being sent backwards.
"Lightning!" Haru gasped. He had hardly expected his Pokemon to take both Ember and Headbutt! He managed to keep his cool, though, waiting to see if his little Plusle was going to get up or not. He would not be surprised if she was down for good after that attack.
"Min min!" Thunder cried as he watched his partner get tossed around like a rag-doll. He waited to see if Lightning would get up, though she looked battered and bruised something terrible. {Get up! Please, get up!}
The little Plusle's body shivered, but she managed to heave herself to her paws. She only had maybe one more attack and hit in her, but she was going to give it her all. She stood on shakey legs, facing the two Pokemon. It was time to make the last stand, and she aimed an arc of blue electricity at the Charmander for a Thunderwave. If she could paralyze that Pokemon, maybe things would be easier.
Thunder sighed with relief. Lightning was ok! For now, at least. He turned to face his opponents, then opened his mouth wide and let out a Growl attack to try and lower both of the Pokemon's attack, then sparks began to crawl from his cheeks as he prepped for another Spark attack. He took aim at the Aron, then charged, electricity bouncing around his body. He stopped before reaching the Steel type, though, and inertia kept the electricity going, threatening to shock Aron.
Haru smiled. His Pokemon were doing this gym justice, and that was all he could have ever asked of his Pokemon. "Good, Lightning. Way to hang in there," he muttered to himself. The crowd had gone silent as the watched the intense battle unfold, and that didn't bother Haru in the least.
[In short. . . Thunderwave on Charmander and Spark on the Aron. >>]

Aurora's hair swayed a little against her dark eyes and emotionless face as she watched the battle carefully. These little Pokemon didn't seem much of a threat at all thus, she smirked a bit in reaction. "Let's go, scary face then dragon rage! Aron, use harden then metal claw!"Charmander was hit with the thunder wave, which it didn't effect him much at all luckily and he ran towards the Plusle, stopping to make a mean and scary face at it. After making this face, Charmander launched shock waves of dragon rage towards the little red Pokemon. Aron also took the spark attack, which didn't effect him barely at all thanks to his type difference. Shaking it off, Aron allowed his body to cover in a shield and then he ran with shiny, metal claws at the Minun.

OOC: Actually. Electricity does normal damage against Aron. :3 I wasn't sure about it at first, but I checked on Serebii. Attacks against Steel types are hard to think about, because there aren't that many Steel types out there.
BIC:
Lightning’s electric sacks began to trickle down the flow of electricity, turning into a couple of warning blue sparks before fading away. If she was to last any longer in this battle, she needed Minun out, ready to help with their combined special abilities, and she needed to dodge as many attacks as possible. The Plusle knew she couldn’t take that many more attacks, but the bad part was, their opponents knew that as well. Her condition could have looked better, (spa, anyone?) and cuts and burn marks were creating throbbing sensations all over her arms and legs.
<What?> She cried as the Charmander’s face turned into something beastly, her small size making it even harder to resist these fearful sensations looming over her. It was as if the Shadow Charmander was possessed by some type of spirit, and it was ready to take her alive as well.
<N-No! Get back!> She took a step back, watching in horror because her body refused to move, too stunned to really think the situation over as the Charmander shot out his Dragon Rage. The dragon type attack, covered in a strange, red electricity, and powered by a magical blue flame, was shot right at her. She was thrown up into the air, and fell with a thud. Out of the game.
Thunder was doing a lot better than his companion, for even though he received a little scratch on his cheek, he ended up smirking right in the Arons face. That barely dented him, and he barely noticed it. Taking advantage of his close up situation, he shot out a Thunder Wave of his own, grabbing hold of the Aron’s thick skull as he shot out the paralyzing blast.
”Lightning, return.” Haru grunted, returning the Plusle to her Pokeball, as he turned to give a somewhat sincere smile toward Aurora. ”I admit, that was a good idea; using Scary Face like that. But be careful. You might regret using that very attack.” His eyes turned cold, fierce, and confident to all around him. Taking out the next Pokeball, he opened it before him to release an adorable looking Pichu.
”Meet Storm. Storm, meet your opponents. And what better way to show them a ‘proper greeting’, than to use your Tail Whip Charm combination?” Haru felt like laughing. Now was the time to take back a strong position in the battle. Tail Whip would work on both opponents, naturally. And he planned on using that Charm move on the Charmander. It would take the power boost off of the lizard’s attacks. The Pichu started prancing around the field, calling attention to himself with little cries, and a little tail waggle to lower the defense of both of his opponents. Then, turning to the Charmander, he started throwing the cutest little red hearts around. Just by looking at the scene, you could have your attack fall.

[Ooc: Ah I see now.]
Aurora stood there, the light breeze that had been in the room barely moved her hair and she stood emotionless, which was a bit scary for a female her age. "As if cuteness was my weakness.." Aurora smirked a bit, she had trained her Pokemon well and as a dark Trainer of her own personality, Aurora found the cuteness to be sickening instead of adorable. "Let's go, both Dodge and Charmander, use Dragon rage, Aron use headbutt!"
Charmander moved up, allowing Aron to do a backflip and be caught by the Charmander as he helped him dodge the thunder wave. Going back to the ground, the Charmander looked at the new Pichu storm and made a 'throwing up face' laughing at the childish movement of the tiny Pichu. Sure it effected him but, it was sure funny and didn't distract him from the task at hand.
Aron ran towards the Minun with a headbutt, his head lowered and he swiftly moved towards the little mouse Pokemon. Charmander on the other hand moved towards this new opponent and shot out another Dragon rage from his mouth, stopping the ground as he moved.

Storm frowned at the Charmander’s unpredictable reaction, and nearly teared up at the feeling of being defeated. Normally his cuteness worked. It was strange to fight against an opponent when it failed to even provoke some type of reaction. With a tiny wiggle of his nose, he glanced at his sole ally, Thunder, to find he was as surprised as he was. Though he wasn’t one to boast of Storm’s battle tactics, they tended to work. It appeared that they were going to have to find another way to fight this battle.
”Too bad. I guess we have to win the old fashioned way. Both of you, dodge and use your Spark, Volt Tackle combination on the Charmander. Squish it like a bug!” Haru cried with a dramatic point of the finger at the shadow lizard. Thunder had used a Thunderwave earlier, but it missed somehow, and he ended up getting Headbutted in the process.
Not willing to give up, he grouped up with Storm, holding paws as the two started storing large quantities of electrical energy. It was almost unbearable, having to share the other’s power, but they managed to do it. Breaking off, to separate and hopefully confuse the Charmander, as they charged at different angles. Thunder attempting to graze Charmander with his spark, and shove him straight into Storm’s Volt Tackle.

Aurora shook her head, this gym leader was beginning to become quiet annoying and she didn't care to stick around much longer. "Fine, you want to play like that?" Aurora smirked and threw her hair behind her ears. "I can play like that too!" She smiled for the first time, a smile that wasn't very pleasant and stepped forward. "Alright, Aron stand your ground and use metal claw and Charmander dodge and use dragon rage now!"
Charmander got shocked by the bits of lightening not being able to dodge both attacks but, as soon as the two used volt tackle, Charmander jumped out of the way and blew out a dragon rage while Aron ran straight for the two with metal claw, hoping to take a hit.

The two had to of had fast reflexes in order to take one look at the dodging Charmander’s glowing mouth to sense an upcoming attack. They hadn’t a clue on how powerful it was, or how far it could go, and it didn’t matter. They smiled with their nervous, childish grins as the duo sidestepped out of harm’s way. As they did that, an ineffective Metal Claw scratched against Storm’s back, temporarily activating his static ability as a light shock entered the Aron on contact. It didn’t hurt. But it had a chance of paralyzing an opponent.
”Okay. Use Sweet Kiss on the Aron, then attack that Charmander with Quick Attack.” Haru ordered after a thoughtful pause, watching the trainer’s reaction with a dull interest. The Pichu turned around and attempted to give an obnoxious smooch on the Aron’s metal plating, while Thunder dashed off, turning into a white blur as he charged towards the Charmander with a decent amount of determination.

Aurora was smart, she careful watched the battle, with no emotion and made sure her Pokemon were hit an equal amount to build up anger and experience. Luckily, Aron wasn't effected by the status shock this time but next time she may not be as lucky. "Aron, your turn to dodge, then mud slap! Charmander, stand your ground, then Dragon rage again!"
Aron spun away from the sweet kiss, he really didn't want to get kiss but the Pokemon anyways and then picked up mud to slap the Pokemon with if he got in contact. Charmander was hit with quick attack, skidding across the ground and shaking off the attack before blowing out a dragon rage in the Pichu's direction.

Thunder grunted in his frustration after making an annoying Quick Attack into thin air. His legs were sore, and he felt like he couldn’t take much more of this. Being without Lightning always had that effect on him. He often felt like a love struck fool without that Plusle, even though he considered themselves childhood friends. His blue paws smacked themselves together, as if to vent his anger out at his Trainer’s disappointment. Turning around, he witnessed Storm’s demise. Covered in mud, he was blinded from the oncoming Dragon Rage. The blast had knocked the Pichu onto the ground, battered, dirty, and unconscious.
”Storm…So soon, too…” Haru grunted. The girl’s Pokemon were obviously higher leveled than his were. He would have to make every effort with Thunder count. Though he didn’t even think he could win this, when she still had three Pokemon left to fight him. He recalled the Pichu into his Pokeball, scowling at another loss.
”Alright, Thunder, attack that Charmander while he’s tired out with your Static attack.” Haru growled, nervous and annoyed at being put into a corner like this. He hated being in this losing position. Hated it! Thunder hated it when Haru was mad. It always meant that he was going to be punished later on. With a frightened yelp, he went into action. Charging up with an electrical glow at the Charmander’s backside.
