Description/History
Habara Kuroo was born an Aristocrat, on top of the social pyramid, with everything he could ever dream to have, except for the freedom he’d always wanted. He was blessed with the look of an Adonis, and, groomed as a child, he was also skilled in everything an aristocrat should know, from musical instruments, to calligraphy, to politics. Physically, his best feature was his eyes. The golden brown orbs never ceased to enchant women and he used it when necessary. Favors were gained with a single glance and promises were forgotten with a piercing gaze. His hair was a lot darker in color and he styled it to fall gracefully on the sides of his face, framing it. He kept it fairly long, letting it fan out behind him, swaying with every step he took, brushing his shoulders with every stride. Even though he wasn’t the tallest man around, he simply had this presence that made heads turn, so the extra height really wasn’t needed. His only problem was that he was a bit skinny, due to his poor eating habits, but he often just brushed it off. It wasn’t important, and it wasn’t as if he was that skinny; just enough for his parents to remind him to eat a bit more every meal.
His mother had had health problems carrying him, making her unable to bear a second son, so all their hopes and dreams fell onto Kuroo’s shoulder. At first, he hated the pressure, but he soon grew used to it and learned everything swiftly. Eventually, he was sent to a first-class boarding school to continue his education. There, he earned his title of Black Rose.
The title was earned mostly with his social status. Thanks to his parents, everyone respected him at school and followed his commands. He was the top dog, and everyone knew it. His face was unforgettable and a request from his became a command. Personally, he didn’t like it that much, but he soon learned not to care. Within months, he became a ruthless ruler. He managed to gather up a group of Elites who benefited from him, using his influence to get what they want. Their symbol was the Bloody Rose, and Kuroo, the leader, was the tainted one, the lone black rose standing between a field of red ones.
For two years, he was a tyrant, and as the Black Rose, he ruled the school. Students feared him and the ones close to him profited from it. His superiors respected him, and to an extent, allowed him a free reign. His parents never knew of this, as his letters would mask his horrible actions, pretending he was still the perfect student they thought he was. He didn’t show them the conniving, manipulating side, and hid his darker half whenever they saw him.
With his power, he would threaten and blackmail students into submission and, in the end, he lost himself in the darkness. Only when an unfortunate Pokémon died, caught between the crossfire, did he finally wake up from his nightmare. It was a Roselia, burnt to death, and Kuroo would never forget the sickening smell that never left the area, even after the flames had been ceased.
He was seventeen, leader of the Bloody Roses, when that happened. Since then, he had turned over a new leaf. The pokemon's death affected him so much that he had become disgusted of his previous actions. He hated everything he did and sought to do everything to change himself.
The first thing he did was to renounce his heritage. It had completely destroyed his mother for him to leave the family, but it was something that had to be done. For two years, he worked, using blood and sweat to try and regain some of his previous honor, although in a positive way. He wanted to gain other's respect again, but through his hard work instead of his family's fortune and power. However, no matter where he went, he always found that people knew of him and thus always treated him differently. So, at eighteen he had decided to leave. He wanted to leave the island in which he lived in to find another land, far away, where no one knew his name. He also wanted to embark on a journey to be with more pokemon, to make up for his sins, really. He wanted to take care of them and to protect them, instead of harming and killing them.
None of his old friends recognized him anymore. Even though he didn't change anything from his outer appearance, he had an overall more gentle look on his face. His selfishness was replaced by a caring nature, and his brutality became kindness. During those two years, he spent a lot of time helping out in the community, making money by working in the fields with the farmers. His hands became rough from the work, but it was something he had to give up. His muscles did develop nicely, from the work, and even though he didn't really tan, he did have an overall more healthy appearance.
In the farm, he also grew to respect pokemon, something he never really noticed earlier on in his life. From these beings, he learned to respect all life and to care for the needy. He learned all the values he had forgotten during his school years. It made him a happier man.
On the second anniversary of the accident, he decided to leave. He had made enough money to buy a ticket out of the island. He simply chose the one that would bring him the furthest, which was Cheyenne. He had never heard of it before, but rumors were that one could become a Pokémon trainer, or even a breeder, there.
It was perfect. Ever since he took interest in pokemon, he had wanted to become a breeder. Trainers just made him think of the ruthless beast he once was, while breeder reminded him more of the pacifist he became.
It was time to regain control of his life, time to become a new person.
Personality
[Responsible]Responsibility was something he learned at the farm. It was something he needed, if he ever wanted to change. He had to take responsibility for his actions and face the consequences like a man. He soon learned to be independent, executing the tasks that were given to him without complaints. If he said something, he would try to honor his words to the end, making sure that he wasn't just sprouting out more lies.
[Caring]The death of the Roselia, along with the injuries of all of his victims had hit Habara Kuroo pretty hard. To make up for it, he constantly look out for to hers, trying to repent for his sins. If someone needed help, he was the guy that would offer it right away. He would always be available as a shoulder to cry on, as an extra hand to help in any task. Most of all, he extended his care to all life around him, helping injured and baby pokemon, along with the flowers and plants he would tend to.
[Pacifist]A complete 360 of his old personality, he has become a rather pacifist man, preferring to settle everything with words instead of fists. Threats were only rarely used, if ever, and he hated hurting others. Every time he looked down at his firsts, he would see blood dripping from them, serving as a good reminder of the consequences of his actions.
Pokémon battles, he tolerated, but with a strict rule. If a Pokémon on either side wanted to stop fighting, he would cease fire instantly. He did not want to force anyone into something they didn't want.
[Confident]Even two years of working in the field couldn't take the Aristocrat out of him, as he still stood proud in front of anything, in every situation. With his head up high and his confidence backing him out, he was rarely scared out of unfamiliar situations.
[Smart]One thing he could never change was his knowledge, along with his rather accurate sixth sense, helping him detect people that wanted to take advantage of him. No matter how much he tried to tone it down, years of living around people that wouldn't mind stabbing you in the back still made him wary of others, even if he wants to help.
["Black Rose"]Even though he ha spent two years trying to change, some habits die hard. When and if someone managed to get him extremely angry, enough for him to forget about everything he worked for, his old self would peak through. There, he becomes the ruthless tyrant he once was, unafraid to hurt and take advantage of others. However, that state of mind only appeared once in those two years, during the third month after the fire. His old friends had decided that he was someone they could now pick on to feel a bit more superior, and he just couldn't stand it. No one tried it again afterwards, and Habara lost all knowledge of the event.
As for Literacy example... do I really have to?
Habara had quickly made his way out of the lab, as per the rather odd Totodile's suggestion, leaving him on route one, with nothing but a little mareep by his side, along with a bag of items.
He placed the items in his messenger bag, making sure to remember where he sorted everything. All the while, his little electric Pokémon was just looked around, unsure of his current situation.
"Well, Mareep... it's just you and me now, isn't it?" he said. The Pokémon looked up at him, and the trainer-thinking-of-becoming-breeder couldn't help but smile. He had really chosen the right Pokémon for him. "So, what should I name you?" he asked, crouching down so he was closer to the sheep. "How about..."
Habara thought about it for a while. What would suit the little sheep? "Kiraitsu?"
The sheep let out a happy "Ma~areep!", telling him that he approved. Habara smiled again, large hands stroking the pokemon's fur.
"Well, Kiraitsu, let's go and see what this land has to offer," he said, standing back up. With his Pokémon in tow, he started to make his way through the first route, the rocks under his feet cushioned by the sole of his shoes. The weather was pretty nice today... sun, a bit of clouds... hopefully no rain any time soon. He really didn't need to get wet again, as he wouldn't have any other clothes to change into.
I'll probably end up using some of this later... ><;;

Why am I creating another character? Because I can, and because I really like this one, and hopefully it'll help me stay active.
