Currently Listening to: Sandstorm by DarudeThere had been no question in her mind where she was going to go. Since she'd arrived in this region and heard about the two methods of recieving a starter pokemon, Amelia knew she had to go to the rangers. Last time she had taken a lab Pokémon and it had wanted only to battle. It had been bred and raised for normal Pokémon trainers, and that was something she wasn't. Head bobbing to the music, the young girl made her way towards the large tent in front of her. Why the rangers had a tent and not a building was beyond her, especially considering they apparently were always here, given the fact there was a sign and a path leading to this location. Shrugging the girl simply danced in place, her flashlight waving around as she did so, the led powered beam of light streaking across the front of the tent. Maybe no one was here during the night, but she had way too much energy to just wait around to start her journey, and the awesome music blaring into her ears definitely wasn't helping. "Anyone there?" she eventually called out, tempted to just sneak into the tent, steal a pokeball and catch herself a Pokémon if no Rangers were even here.

Ranger Jordan never sleeps. Just kidding, she does but not on days that she could be training for Ninja Warrior! Ninja Warrior took place at night in the later courses and things, distances and atmosphere, looked and felt different then in the day. So Jordan trained at night to practice for the mind game that could ensue when she got into the competition.
Inside the tent, said ranger was taking a break, having just practiced for a few hours. She was sweaty and in no way really presentable to a new trainer, though when was she? She was always training, always sweating, and always unprepared for the occurrence of a new trainer. Gulping down half her water bottle, she looked over at her pokemon, Riley the Hitmonchan. He was sitting against the side of the tent, breathing hard and most likely thankful for the break.
It was well past the time most the rangers head to bed. There was a building farther down the path most of them stayed at, unless they had a home near by. Each ranger had a box with starter packs in it, and Jordan being the only ranger here this late, meant her box was the only one to steal from. All the others had taken theirs to their rooms. It was one on the rangers' methods to stop thievery.
A bright light hitting the side of the tent's wall took her attention however. Someone this late? She frowned and looked to Riley. He was still tired and would be in no shape to make the capture as "fun" as they usually did. She didn't think she would be able to do it either. Looks like they were going to be the lame rangers this time, how lame.
Standing up, Ranger Jordan motioned to her Hitmonchan to follow her out the front flap of the tent where her brown eyes landed on the girl before her. "Don't you think it's a bit late to get a starter Pokémon?" She started the conversation. She didn't say it like she was annoyed though, more that she was curious as to why she came this late. Surely she wouldn't want to start her adventure right after this right?

As someone finally emerged from the Tent a grin swept across Amelia's face. It wasn't so much relief that someone was here, but more amusement at the pokemon with the girl. In an instant her hand reached down, grasping her music player and quickly changing her tune to one a bit more appropriate. Now Playing: Eye of the Tiger by SurvivorWith her headphones around her neck, the music blaring loud enough even for the ranger to hear, Amelia hopped around in place, hands up like a boxer, pretending to throw out a few little punches and jabs towards the mighty hitmonchan. "It's not too late, it's never too late!" she replied in a sing song voice, smirking at her own cleverness. After a moment though she relaxed, turning her attention back towards the pokemon ranger. "I'm pumped! I finally get to become a coordinator, and I need a pokemon to do that, right? Well I guess i could try to coordinate without a pokemon...but something tells me that wouldn't work out so well!" giggling the young girl spun about once before firmly planting her feet down, arms crossed. "Can I please get a pokemon now? Otherwise i'll just have to stand out here having my own little dance party all night...and that wouldn't be very good for my health!" she begged, clasping her hands infront of her, the flash light shining up at her face, giving it an eerie look.

Ranger Jordan
Riley looked at the funny human girl with a raised eyebrow, not sure what to make of the fake, lousy punches she tried to hit him with. They didn't even reach him, and instead blew cold air in his face. It actually felt nice after such a hard workout with his trainer, and he wished she had done it a bit longer. "Mon?" He asked halfheartedly, merely stating that he didn't understand what she was doing.
"Hah, I kind of like your spunk, girl. But really, to be this energetic so late? I feel like crashing, haha. Otherwise I'd be up and dancing with you." She smiled, knowing that she would force her strict partner to be happy and dance like an idiot if it was much earlier. It seemed too cruel to do that kind of thing to him now though, especially after knowing his limits for so long. Anyways. Time to get to business.
"So here I have your Starter Pack. It won't help with the coordinating part, but it can help you out in the wild with your first Pokémon." Jordan explained as she handed the girl her Starter Pack, which was wrapped in a poorly made bag. Goodness, no wonder they were free. She gave 'the nod' to Riley, who rolled his eyes and made his way to the field where all of the wild Pokémon liked to roam. By the time he came back, he had dragged out a beaten up Drowzee and was carrying it by the foot--upside down as well.
"Burn marks? That's odd." Jordan raised an eyebrow, knowing that Riley wouldn't be weak enough to burn himself with his own Fire Punch. So how did the Drowzee burn him like that? Either way, she tossed a Pokeball at the creature and successfully caught it. Riley gave a relieved smile to his trainer, and hid it as he held the Pokeball in his hands, scowling at the beast that managed to hurt him. Still looking quite sore, he handed it to the new trainer. At least someone here would like him.
You Get:
Starter Pack
x 5 x 3 x1
Drowzee Level: 5 Attacks: Pound, Hypnosis, Fire Punch [/i][/center]

While the hitmonchan wandered off to get her a pokemon, Amelia just listened to her tunes, foot tapping to the beat. The ranger was kind of weird, but she seemed nice enough, and Amelia gratefully accepted her items, quickly removing them from the given bag and putting them in her own bag instead. Anticipation filled her as she waited for the hitmonchan to return. Man, things were so much more exciting when you had no control over your Pokémon! Hopefully she got something good for contests... The time flew by as she waited, even with her nerves. Though the hitmonchan looked a little battered upon return, her attention was drawn to the Pokémon it was dragging. Even without her pokedex she recognized the pokemon; after all it was a pretty common Pokémon in her native region of Kanto. "D-D-D-DJ Drowzee" she said smirking to herself, already knowing how she'd use this Pokémon. Its psychic powers would be great for contests and who knows, maybe it would specialize in 'trance' music. Currently Playing: I've got a feeling - Black Eyed PeasGiggling at her little joke, the new coordinator retrieved the pokeball, tossing it up into the air before catching it again, her smirk growing into a large grin. "Thanks for the help! Don't worry, when I become Top Coordinator i'll be sure to mention your contribution to my cause!" she exclaimed, spinning about before racing off down the trail.
