A bittersweet sort of victory came off of the 6th gym leader; nothing was sweeter for Jay as his three year adventure slowly began forming into his dream. He wanted to become a Pokémon master, he was finally ready to try it against the 7th gym leader. If only he could find her fucking gym, it was as if he was looking for the exit of this huge labyrinth. He wouldn’t complain though, the more he could train both Artemis and Opiume, the better of a chance he would have of defeating Sakura (like he wanted to do for years).
Artemis was out of her pokeball, the umbreon purred slightly as she walked right behind Jay, they would get out of here eventually and find exactly where they needed to go. ”Artemis, on your heels. Get ready for any sketchy business.” After three years training his Pokémon were strong and they had a very tight bond with all of them. It was time to show the world that Jay was going to become the next Pokémon master very soon with the help of Artemis.

Blaze Ferrio ! Deep in the tunnel, a man wearing a draping black coat and pants was engaged in battle. In front of him, a huge shadow of a Charizard breathed flames at his opponent, lighting up the cavern. With a growl the little brown figure opposite the lizard jumped out of the way of the cascading plume, landing safely away from the attack. Light from the flames caused the Eevee, as it was called, to become identifiable a fair distance away.
Eevee stood for a moment, panting there; then, turning, the fox dashed swiftly away from its two foes. Realizing it would be futile to chase after such a quick pokemon, Blaze gave a curse under his breath. Turning to see if any other Pokémon lurked about, he spotted Jay.
"Oh, hey. I haven't seen a trainer in such a long time." Said the holographic man, eyes pinned on Jay. He then turned and looked at his Charizard thoughtfully for a moment. Abruptly his eyes were directed once more at Jay. "What say you to a battle?
Blaze challenges you!

The damp tunnel really didn’t leave much room for Jay to say otherwise, the hologram gave off this intensity unlike no other, it was unbelievable what the actual Blaze would be like, if he ever had to face the fire specialist in real life. ”I got you bud. One on One.” he wiped the sweat from his brow as Artemis growled slightly walking in front of her trainer. Artemis was a quirky trusted companion, the pokemon who was always used in clutch situations.
”Confuse Ray” the words spewed out of Jay’s mouth quickly and in a harsh tone. It wasn’t that he was rude, he just knew exactly what he wanted done.
The obsidian pokemon rushed in like a bullet, a purple orb was aimed right for the Charizard’s face trying to confuse it before the fight really started.

Blaze Ferrio ! Blaze grinned when the man decided to humor his request. He knew who to send first - Ryuuku, who strutted out in front of him proudly. The huge, winged lizard knew that he was the shit the most powerful of Blaze's batch. Well, he thought so anyway.
A firm command from Jay began the battle, and immediately the Charizard altered his stance into a defensive one. Unfortunately for the giant, the swift, quick Umbreon was already a small distance away and emitting a strange purple orb at his face. It came quickly, allowing the lizard no time to dodge; soon his thoughts became chaotic, and so did his movements. His muscles spasmed even though he tried hard to subdue them.
Not pleased with this display, Blaze yelled out a command. "Slash." Ryuuku shook his head, attempting to clear his fogged mentality, but only succeeded in jumbling up his mind even worse. Letting out a snarl of rage, the lizard stomped towards the Umbreon as best he could with his shaking limbs. He raised both claws and brought them down toward his enemy, succeeding this turn in retaining control over his body.
Ryuuku is confused! Ryuuku used Slash on Artemis!

This was pure justice, if this was what he was to expect from one of the many masters of Cheyenne then Jay had nothing to worry about. With no hesitance, Jay cleared his throat and commanded his pokemon to attack. ”Hel. Use a Shadow Ball.” he was almost certain that this battle would be over quickly.
The Umbreon tried to dodge the slash attack but it was futile, she was hit on her back and winced from the pain. She leapt backward and from her mouth grew a large dark orb gaining in size.
Hel finally released it straight toward the Charizard hoping something would happen.
”Goodjob Hel.” Jay applauded for his Hel in a somewhat sarcastic tone, his eyes locked-on to his foe waiting for the moment where he tasted the sweet juice of victory.

Blaze Ferrio ! Blaze's personage hardly changed when he saw that, despite his confused state, Ryuuku had managed to land his Slash attack on the Umbreon. This left new problems for him, after all - his opponent didn't have much of a distance to cover to retaliate, and in his confused state it was unlikely that he'd be able to dodge. In fact, this is just what happened.
The Charizard attempted to maneuver out of the way of Artemis' Shadow Ball, but could hardly take control over his limbs in his utterly confused mentality. Unable to even move, the lizard took the full beating of the Shadow Ball. The hologram lizard felt his energy leaving him against the far stronger Umbreon. What level was she, 64?!
The lizard stumbled backwards a little, shaking his head in confusion. "Fire Fang." The firm command from Blaze did nothing to snap him out of it, only caused him to panic as he fought the chaos in his mind. Shaking, the Charizard fell victim to his confused state. Though he'd managed to approach the Umbreon, jaws aflame, he stumbled and fell over due to lack of balance. Blaze stared coldly down at his lizard's pathetic display, emitting a curse under his breath.
Ryuuku is confused! Ryuuku hurt himself in confusion!

A hardened Jay was watching the battle unfold right in front of his face, watching the sheer power that Hel possessed sent chills up the trainer’s spine. He gritted his teeth as Hel stood in her spot with her beady obsidian eyes staring at the large bulky dragon. She knew that she would win this fight, a very fickle Pokémon who knew how much power she possessed.
”He attacked himself. Finish it off. Iron Tail.” Jay spoke in a quick and steady tone. Never dark or ambiguous, he knew exactly what he wanted Hel to do but didn’t want to seem super overconfident. His eyes locked onto his dark Pokémon to try and see if this would be the Charizard’s downfall.
Hel was swift like a bullet, she was in the air in a matter of seconds with her tail glowing aimed straight for the head of the fire Pokémon.

Blaze Ferrio
'Finish it off with Iron Tail? It? That punk has some nerve disrespecting Ryuuku like that.' Blaze thought with a snort, folding his arms across his chest as gave off an uninterested look. Sometimes it was best to bluff things out, and this time it was no different. Sure, he appeared screwed, and ok, maybe he was, but there was always a way out. If only Ryuuku would listen though.
"Ryuuku." He stated, mostly to draw the confused beast's attention to him. Though dazed and uncertain of his surroundings, the Charizard did pause to listen to his trainer's command. Though they were fake, the trust between Pokemon and Trainer was real. Changing to an eerie sort of calm, the shiny Charizard let his wings open up to feel the gentle caress of the wind rub against him. It was eye opening enough to weaken his confused state, but it still existed.
Now that they had a better chance of getting through this, Blaze instantly knew what move to use next. No need to turn this into a battle of brute strength when the Umbreon clearly outmatched Ryuuku in that area, though he was sour to admit it. There were other tactics they had on hand that they could use. "Use Smokescreen and fly." He commanded, his voice strict and his words right to the point.
Ryuuku let out an annoyed growl, trying to fight through his confused state as he heard the approaching Umbreon. Unfortunately for him, he was struck by the speedy move right as he got off of the ground, getting a painful wound on his foot. Wincing from the pain, the Charizard sent out a thick black cloud of smoke as he flew into the sky. His movements were jagged and in a strange zigzag pattern. Looks like they had a serious disadvantage.

Jay sighed; the Charizard was only prolonging the inevitable. In all honesty, the trainer just wanted to get past this tunnel route and get to the gym. His pokemon were more then capable of destroying the gyms along with the pokemon champion. He was very confident in his and his pokemons skills. Jay took a deep breath before telling Hel what she should do. ”Okay Hel, Use Psychic and throw the smokescreen up.” This idea would definitely work.
The sleek obsidian pokemon growled when the black smog had skewed her entire field of vision. Hel could hear the flapping of the Charizard’s wings so she knew that his next attack would be an aerial one. After she heard Jay’s command her eyes turned magenta in color and the smoke had a purple aura surrounding it. Hel lifted her head as the smoke went up into the sky and hopefully caused the Charizard to lose his vision.

Blaze Ferrio
Flinching in surprise as the black coating that had temporarily covered the ground was used against him, the Charizard was forced to navigate through his own Smokescreen. Gasping for fresh air, his heavy wings beat against the cloud of smoke, occasionally giving his position away as the areas of smoke partially cleared up. Straining to see where the Umbreon was, he snorted in annoyance.
'Screw this, I'll just attack whatever. It's bound to hit sometime, right?' He thought with a smug look, except the confusion hax was simply awful against the Charizard. As his claws started to glow with a dragon's aura, he extended them through the cloud of smoke and...ended up clawing at his own knee. Yelping from the pain, the Charizard fell down near the Umbreon, quite possibly landing on her if she didn't bother to dodge.
Either way, Ryuuku had fainted. No glory at all. He knew his trainer would have killed him if he wasn't a hologram, but instead this was to be forgotten. Holograms didn't need social lives, after all. Returning his prized first Pokemon, Blaze growled in annoyance at Jay and his Umbreon.
Umbreon gains a level.
"So your Umbreon is tough, but let's see what else you have. Use two different Pokemon, we're having a double battle." He explained without any other kind of warning, for already he had clicked the two spare Pokeballs on his belt. In less than five seconds, an Entei and Arcanine were howling before him, both battle hungry.

Jay wasn’t worried about the next battle he was about to have; he had a ton of Pokémon who could easily take on both pokemon, hopefully. It seemed as if Jay had enough confidence for days but it was a real façade, Jay trusted his Pokémon but he always had a ounce of doubt in his gut telling him otherwise. ”Let’s go Bec and Zek.” Jay commanded as he grabbed both of their pokeballs and threw them onto the battlefield. A light Blastoise and an Electivire appeared ready to battle.
”Quick. Bec Use Water Pulse on the Entei. Zek; You use Thunder on the Arcanine.” his commands were concise, if this was well executed this battle would be finished quickly.Bec started the battle by clutching his hands together, a sphere of water begin to grow in his palms and when it got to the size of his head he launched it straight towards the Entei. Zek on the other hand was a quicker battler; his entire body was illuminated by the thunder that zipped through the sky aimed straight for the Arcanine.
Jay clenched his fists together, wondering how strong his opponent’s were.

Blaze Ferrio
As soon as he saw the Light Blastoise appear on the field, Blaze knew that it was bound to be trouble. He was actually hoping that Jay's other two Pokemon were weaker than that Umbreon, but it didn't appear to be the case. Knowing that it was either the hard way or the high way, he was going to have to really do things different if he was going to win this one. On the first turn, a water type move was being used against Hell. Thinking quickly, he hardly let his voice crack as he issued the next command.
"Fire Spin around the Water Pulse, Hell. Make sure it hits the Blastoise." He responded, and before he could watch what Hell was going to do, he had to react swiftly with Hades. That Thunder wasn't going to wait for anybody, after all. "Agility, Hades. Then hit it with Fire Fang." He ordered with a final nod towards his Pokemon, expecting them to preform to the best of their abilities.
Hell was the first to respond of course, and a powerful Fire Spin surrounded the Water Pulse, refusing to touch it as it spiraled past it. The extreme heat was enough to make some of the concentrated blast to evaporate before reaching the legendary beast, making weaker than before. As the fire extended like a snake like body towards the Blastoise, ready to cause continuous damage, Hell had already suffered from the blow. Completely soaked and shivering from the cold, the Entei stood back up, pissed off that he had been hit that hard.
Hades responded to the normally inaccurate Thunder with a swift dodge to the right, constantly dodging the stray bolts that were released from the powerful attack. With an encouraging howl, the Arcanine charged forth to her giant opponent with fangs glistening with fire. All she needed was to give her opponent a quick nip to the side and run a safe distance away. Hopefully her enhanced speed would allow her the chance to get away, lest the Electivire attack her during her bite.

”They’re going to make us work, aren’t they?” Jay mused to himself, he didn’t mind using strategy to prove his dominance over Blaze. This would be over in no time, ”Okay. Take the attacks. All of them. Then, Bec; Use a Hydro Pump at Hell. Zek; Use a Light Screen and a Focus Blast at Hell.” it was cheap to attack one pokemon first but he didn’t really care. Jay just wanted this battle to be over quickly. A grim smile appeared on Jay’s face, he could only hope that his strategy would work and not be one of those flukes.
The Blastoise punched his hands together as he felt the fire spin all around his body, he cringed in fear; the fire had burnt his hands and would now take health from the water-type every turn. Bec set his eyes on the legendary pokemon and aimed his cannons straight on the Entei. A large barrage of water released from his cannons straight for the Entei.
Zek on the other hand had it a little luckier; as the fire fang hit the electric pokemon it didn’t leave a burn status. The Electivire used his hands really quickly to create a light barrier. The special damage would now be reduced by half thanks to the barrier that Zek created. The second part of his move was his Focus Blast. In his hand a blue aura began to grow, a ball filled with fighting energy. He launched it straight at the Entei as well, hoping that it would at least hit the opponent.

Blaze Ferrio
Sensing the swift change in battle tactics in his opponent, the fake hologram Blaze couldn't help but feel screwed. It was bad enough that they had a water type as their opponent, but it was fairly obvious that there was a serious level disadvantage. Hell perked up at the sound of Mizu's water cannons aiming at him, and with a low warning growl he stood his ground. If he was told to dodge, then by god, he would dodge. A quick glance with his peripheral vision also warned him of the incoming Focus Blast, which was aimed right towards him. This wasn't good...
<Hell, look out!> Hades howled, trying to use another Fire Fang on the Electivire to drag him down. If that worked, then surely his aim would be off, and Hell would have less to worry about. Her physical move freely went past the special defense wall, but again, it was always possible to miss a target.
"Hell, blast it away with Ember." Blaze hissed as quick as he could, trying to do whatever he could to protect his Pokemon. Hades had sure made a distraction alright, and already the Hydropump was blasting towards his. Letting out mighty spurts of Ember to counter the Hydro Pump, they were easily blasted away and Hell was swiftly overcome by the water blast. One the attack had settled down, he was revealed in a massive puddle of water-- fainted. The Entei's hologram merely disappeared from the field, as if he had been returned to his Pokeball. Blaze clenched his fists, obviously not pleased with this development.

’That was easy enough.’ Jay thought as he wondered if he really did over train a little bit too much before coming to the 7th gym and ultimately the pokemon league. All he really wanted to do was start his journey over, he learned so much with these people that he had forgotten what it was like to be a beginning trainer. It was good at times to feel the tribulations new trainers had to go through. That was ultimate goal, to start his journey a second time with one of Qux’s offsprings. It was the perfect plan in his head; with all the new pokemon out there it was time to start fresh.
”shit.” Jay muttered as his head went straight to the clouds. His eyes quickly tried to observe what had happened when he was in his dreamlike state; he was winning the pokemon battle. ”oh.” he spoke, ”Okay. One pokemon left.” his mind began to think of the quickest way to try and faint the Arcanine.
Another Fire Fang hit Zek and he took a bunch of damage, to make it fair the only reasonable thing Jay could do would be to return his electric pokemon. ”Well done Zek. Come back.” his pokeball was in Jay’s hand and the electric pokemon was soon safe in his pokeball.
”Aqua Tail.” Jay shouted. The ember hit but the level difference and the type disadvantage it didn’t do too much. Bec began to spin his tail rapidly as water began to surround it. With one quick swift movement the water was now aimed towards the Arcanine.

Blaze Ferrio
With the Electivire recalled, both Hades and Blaze exchanged confused looks with each other. Well, it wasn't very often when a trainer showed this kind of chivalry. Double battle rules did state that the two remaining Pokemon could work to take out the last one, so Blaze wouldn't have thought worse of Jay either way.
This gave them more time to prepare the ever so distracting light Blastoise that stood in the middle of the field, much like a heavy statue. Except this one seemed to be good on its feet; Hades let out a warning snarl as she saw her opponent charge towards her with an Aqua Tail. She might've been weaker than that darn thing, but she was still much faster! "Agility. Thunder Fang. You know how we take water types down." Blaze commanded, knowing that with this move in his arsenal, Hades could deal some decent damage to the water type.
She shot off into the field with her fluffy tail trailing behind her, her red fur suddenly merging in a blur with her black stripes as she zoomed around the Aqua Tail. Then, seeing Mizu's small tail trailing behind her, went forth with electrically charged fangs to give it a quick nip.
