/// Once more, the Paras came rushing forward with another slash of her claws. This time they hit the Aron's face dead on - the swipe even scored a mark beneath his eyes. He unleashed a bellow of pain as the critical damage sent pain shooting through his body. It added to his paralysis, causing his muscles to become weak, but he attempted to overcome the condition. The metallic beast barreled toward the Paras once again. His sluggish movement slowed him down quite a bit, but he tried to fake out the insect once more by doing a maneuver to hit the right side of her body.
Pascal cocked his head at the Meowth's argument but remained silent, and so did Seryl and Elvara. Then the feline mentioned shiny stuff. Immediately the group perked up. <Shiny stuff? Whatcha mean?> Questioned the curious buizel, bright gaze locked onto the Meowth. Elvara piped up excitedly. <Oh, does it rival the sun's magnificence? Though that's just a metaphor.. since the sun is too brilliant to match..> She said humbly. Seryl simply looked at Meowth expectantly, curious too about the gem he spoke of.
Sierra heard her pokemon's nearby voices but kept quiet, too enthralled with the egg in her arms to care. She continued to hold it to her warm body, happy that there was a creature that might be depending on her. She was curious, too, what kind of Pokémon would hatch out of the egg.

The Paras grinned at the critical hit that it had managed to get and started to scuttle away when a sharp pain slammed into it's side. Falling to the ground of the cave once more, the wild pokemon realized two things.
First, that it wouldn't be able to take another attack like that. That idea in itself was a horrible thought. Why did they ever agree to this battle? Go with Ms. Stalker? Hell no. Second thing it realized was that in the midst of the battle it was no longer cornered to the dead end, instead the Aron was.
Mind was racing in the mushroom pokemon's head as it stood up. Then it hit it. Facing the metal eating pokemon, the Paras used poison powder and quickly (but quietly) turned and maneuvered down the tunnel to head to it's cave after it's wrong turn. Hopefully, the poison dust cloud and the darkness of the cave would cover it's retreat.
Paras is running away.
The Meowth grinned at the other pokemon's curiosity. <Would you like to see it?> Questioned the cat pokemon as it turned slightly, signifying that it would go retrieve the prized shiny item if the other wanted to see it.

Keitan hacked a cough or two as the stinging powder lodged itself in the metallic beast's throat and eyes. After wheezing for a bit and after the poisonous fog cleared from his vicinity, the aron realized that the Paras had fled. <Get the hell back here!" He coughed, listening closely for sounds of scuttling that the Paras' legs generated as they clicked against rubble on the ground. Catching a sound, the aron immediately locked on to it and sprinted after it, determined not to let his target get away after so much work. Paralysis slowed him down greatly, however, and caused him to trip several times due to muscle failure. Hopefully, though, he would be able to catch that Paras.
::aron::
All three of the pokemon nodded in unison, all having differing expressions on their faces. <Show us to it!> Said Pascal excitedly, his eyes shining like gems. Seryl nodded in answer to the Meowth's inquirement, as well as Elvara.

Sierra had been rocking the egg in her arms for a while until she realized it'd been quite a few minutes since she'd sent Keitan into the depths of the cave. Panicking slightly, she scooted herself over to the opening of that tunnel and called out, "Keitan? Are you okay in there?" The shout echoed, but no response came. A bit worried, Sierra decided to leave him to handle the situation as she saw fit and continued to hug the egg to her body. Though she'd only had it for a few moments, it was becoming a source of comfort to her.

{ XDDD Kimmie, you are awful. }
Since the Paras knew these tunnels like the back of her mushrooms, there was no way that she could get lost. Where some of the tunnels parted into a fork shape, she always knew which way to go, whereas the paralyzed Aron might have needed to look and listen before moving on ahead.
It was a shame and a waste of effort on the Aron's part, but the Paras had successfully escaped her stalkers. There had been quite a lot of effort put into that battle though, so to say that there was no experience gained would have been a lie.
Aron gains half a level for almost winning. Suh-weet.
<Oh, uh, alright. One sec.> The Meowth responded as he quickly burst into the bushes, eager to please these new acquaintances of his. He scoured the places where he usually hid objects until he found the shiny string. His eyes sparkled at the sight of it, and as he scooped it into his mouth, he happily trotted back and dropped it in front of them.
In the sun, the light red jewels indeed seemed to shine a faint shade of pink. They were really pretty on the smooth, silky string. It kinda looked like a choker, if you looked at it really close. But the kind that was tied around ones neck.
<You can have it if you want. I have no need for it.> The Meowth replied honestly, knowing that there was many other shiny objects to find in the future. He had mad shiny object finding skills, dawg.

::sierra:: /// Keitan had been running for a while, dampening his hearing, and so he stopped to listen again for the clicking of the Paras' feet. Hearing no such sound, he gave a curse and rested himself on the ground to take a breather. Forcing himself to run on semi-paralyzed limbs had drained much of his energy. Looking up in the direction that he assumed the Paras had ran, he shouted <Coward! You wouldn't last five seconds in a trainer battle, anyway!> After he said such, he let out a few coughs of exhaustion.
After a few moments of rest, he stood back up. He had to find his way back - but how? The little beast was trapped inside a labyrinth of a cavern, and wouldn't be able to get out without a call from his trainer. Keitan tried to concentrate on any noise he could use to get back outside, but failed to hear any sound rather than dripping water. Crawling low to the ground, he began his attempt to retrace his steps.
::aron::
{{ooc/ Wait. Spirit. What IS that. D: }}
Pascal watched excitedly as the Meowth went and returned with a beautiful-looking necklace, the likes of which he'd never seen before. Light red jewels adorned it and seemed to absorb every inch of the sun, albeit a tad dirty from being on the dusty ground. The otter went to accept the beautiful necklace, staring in awe at it. Seryl and Elvara gathered round him with admiring stares of their own. Looking up, Pascal grinned broadly. <Thanks, dude! This'll look awesome on me!> He proclaimed, putting the necklace on himself and striking a pose.
Seryl gaped. <Hey, let me have a turn!> He said quite uncharacteristically, reaching out and grabbing the necklace from the otter's neck. Pascal fought back for it, but only succeeded in slapping the Cranidos' face a couple times. Emerging the victor, Seryl grinned and draped the adornment on his neck. It wasn't quite complimentary for the dino - his dark skin fused with the band of the necklace and the red jewels simply looked tacky against his blue markings.
Elvara gave a huff. <Why, that jewelry doesn't suit you at all!> She scoffed, but turned to the side. <I don't have a neck to wear it, so I'm afraid it would be best for Sierra.. or rather, whatever she chooses.> She suggested.
Pascal looked at her blankly, clearly not buying it. <Dude, I touched the necklace first. That means I get to keep it!> He hissed, turning and reaching out a paw yet again for the jewelry. Seryl slapped it away with a snarl. Boys and their jewelry.
Sierra, hearing the squabbling from her perch a short distance away, looked up. Not forgetting the egg that she held in her arms, she continued to hug it to her bosom in a caring manner and, unbending her legs, stood to walk over to her pokemon. "Now, now. Behave, all of you." She said sternly, a motherly tone in her voice already.
Pascal noticed the serious tone in her voice and stood at attention, fearing punishment, while Seryl and Elvara simply looked up at her with a curious face. She was never like that, and they knew it best. Suddenly, however, Sierra looked down at the necklace Seryl was wearing. A gasp broke through. "Where'd you get that!? It's gorgeous!" She said, back to her normal, childish self again. The tenseness in the moment seemed to lighten at the renewed sound. Perhaps she would have dropped the egg at that moment, but in the back of her mind she knew that the egg was important and thus took great care not to allow it to move an inch.

Another Aron was wandering around the network of tunnels, but there was a large difference between it and Keitan. He actually knew where he was going. Now, this place hardly belonged to him, but he'd never been asked to leave by whatever Pokemon lived here, and so he figured that it was alright to stay a while. He liked the dark, comfortable aura of the network, and didn't think that he could find another quite like it.
He'd never met another Aron down here, so he was quite surprised when he poked his head out of the cavern he usually slept in to see a familiar species. <Oh! Hello there!> Quite cheerfully, the Aron strode the rest of the way out of the cave and approached this stranger. <I heard shouting, so I decided to see what was going on. Are you lost?> After all, it was so easy to lose your way down here. He'd gotten lost many a times when he'd first started to use these tunnels as a more permanent home. <If you are, I could help you find your way. That Paras in here isn't very helpful.> He frowned. She was an odd one. She hadn't helped him, when he'd asked; rather muttered something about her mushrooms and rushed off. He'd never spotted her again, after that.
::aron:: Aron has offered to help. Accept?
The Meowth was quite pleased with the squabbling over the shiny object. It was rare that others had such an eye, such an appreciation for the things as he did. He gave a large, cat-like grin when the trainer inquired about where he'd gotten it. <Oh, things like this are always laying around!> he said. <You've just got to know where to look, like me!> There was an intense pride in his voice. Oh, he did love looking for those shiny things. <Yeah, it really is nice, isn't it? Go ahead and take it though, you'll surely use it more than I do!> He'd already said this, of course, but he had to make sure she understood that he really didn't want it. He could just find another one. Humans weren't as lucky. Their eyesight was probably worse than his.

::sierra:: /// Just when Keitan was beginning to contemplate his death in these never-ending tunnels, a voice like angels greeted his ears. Immediately when he stopped walking, the paralyzed Aron collapsed onto the cold soil. <Thank Arceus you're here,> Breathed the metallic beast between deep breaths of exhaustion. His limbs had become extremely stiff from him having been forced to move them in their paralyzed state, and it had rendered him nearly to the point of falling over dead. <Lost as I ever was, yeah. I'd love if you could get me the hell out of here.> He continued, letting out a few coughs afterward.
::aron::
Sierra's smile broadened when the feline gave her permission to keep the lovely necklace. "Thank you so much! I'll treasure it!" She was awed that this wild pokemon had suddenly decided to leave them, practically strangers, with this possession. Perhaps there was good in the world, she thought to herself.
Turning toward Seryl, she smiled politely and held out her hand to him, cradling the egg in her other arm. "Here. I need it for safekeeping," She said gently.
Giving a sigh, the dino took off the necklace and raised it to her. He knew that the girl was better off not challenged. Besides, she'd probably look least odd wearing the man-made thing anyway.
Sierra accepted the jewel-adorned necklace and placed it into her purse, quickly stabilizing the egg with her other hand. A realization came to her - she hadn't introduced the egg to her pokemon! "Oh hey! Check out what I found!" She said excitedly, showing the object to them. They all gazed at it in awe. <Nice,> Pascal said simply.
Seryl turned back toward the feline, realizing that they were practically ignoring the clever little kitty. <Thanks, by the way.> He said, grinning toothily at him.

Huh.
The fellow Aron looked a lot more worn out than he'd originally thought. <Say, have you been in a battle?> he wondered curiously. Some wild Pokemon would take advantage of something like that and finish the other off, but this Aron was a friendly one, so Keitan was in luck. They hardly ever got visitors down here, so he tried to be as welcoming as possible when the rare situation occurred. <You look pretty worn out.>
But he understood that it was none of his business, and so he would also understand if the other Pokemon wanted him to butt out. <By the way,> he continued, <exit's this way.> The little rock Pokemon gestured down a tunnel that forked sharply to their right. One probably would have wandered right past it and gotten lost deeper in if they hadn't known where to look. The Aron wasn't entirely sure if that was intentional or not. No matter. Keitan had a guide now, after all.
He made sure that he kept pace with the injured Pokemon, not wanting him to fall behind. That happened with some other Pokemon, as the wild Aron was a very enthusiastic walker at times.
::aron::
The Meowth gave a cat-like grin when he was thanked by Seryl, and he nodded enthusiastically. <Oh, no problem!> Heck, he was just glad to have had the company without being conned into a battle for once. Most trainers were so eager to fight, they never just let him speak. And he was eager to share his treasures with anyone that did, and so Sierra could count herself lucky that she hadn't ambushed him, after all.

::sierra:: /// Keitan nodded in response to the question, not caring whether the stranger Aron knew about it or not. <I'm not so much worn out from the battle as I am from trying to move on paralyzed limbs.> Explained the metallic beast, his body quivering even now as he stood up.
He trudged behind the Aron, his muscles screaming out at him for overworking them so much in their condition. However, the little steel pokemon was simply glad he wasn't going to wander forever in this dark hall. Focusing on that, he was able to ignore the pain of walking on his tired, aching legs.
::aron::
Sierra grinned happily down at the feline. It seemed to her that they'd hit a stop in the conversation, so she attempted to pick it up again. "So, is there anything you need to be doing? In case we're wasting your time, hehe." She said.. rather awkwardly. She couldn't think of any other question at the time.
Her three pokemon sat watching. {{ooc/ I'M BORED OTL }}
Nestled snugly and protectively in her arms was the egg, warmed by both the sun and Sierra's body warmth.

[[ Don't worry, Draagon. I had a little plot with that necklace for quite some time. ;) ]]
The Wild Aron emerged from the maze of tunnels down below, lifting his head up to get a good whiff of that clean, fresh air. He was forced to keep his eyes closed, since the sunlight was so harsh at this time of day. Especially considering the light difference in the tunnel, so that took some adjusting. He moved out of the way so he wouldn't block Keitain, grinning at him quite happily when they finally emerged above ground.
However, there was a catch. These surroundings appeared to be quite different from where Ketain had first gone into the tunnels. Could it be that there was more than one exit?! The Wild Aron remained oblivious to the problem at hand, but was willing to stick around with his fellow Aron. <So, got a plan for tending those wounds? There are some healing berries around here, but nothing that can cure paralysis right away.> He commented thoughtfully, wondering off hand whether the Aron had a trainer or not.
Then, out of nowhere with the Wild Meowth and crew...
"Goodness! When I get my hands on that little sneak, I'm going to throw the darn thing into the river! Water City is what that beast deserves!" A formal, feminine voice raged on through the forest, catching the ear's of the Wild Meowth. Hearing her enraged call, he gulped in fear and fright. Staying here suddenly didn't seem like a pleasant idea.
<Oh, would you look at the time...Gotta jet!> The Meowth cried, his fur bristling in horror as he heard the familiar voice in the distance. He made a quick beeline for the bushes and hid in there, doing his best to make sure that no one found him.
"Why...why...I'll kill him!" The woman burst through the bushes, just emerging into the clearing with a frantic Hoppip floating around her in an attempt to calm down his trainer. She turned to look at Sierra, and let out an annoyed grunt.

/// Keitan shambled as quickly as he could after the wild Aron, trying not to worry about his circumstances. Okay, so he was lost and probably would faint from overexercising his paralyzed limbs, but now he had a friend who could help him! And now there was light! Oh, glorious light. He attempted to focus in on the outside features he could see from where he was, but recognized nothing from when he entered. Puzzled, he continued to follow the other Aron until they emerged.
He paused, pure worry forming a lump in his chest. Silence came from his mouth; his eyes were blank as they surveyed the area. Pure horror filled the metal beast's thoughts. Perhaps he wouldn't find Sierra again? Perhaps he'd return to the bleak existence of simply living? .. Keitan stared ahead for a while, saying nothing, until he turned slowly to the helpful or not so helpful Aron. <W-where are we...?> He questioned slowly.
----
Sierra nearly started when she heard an unfamiliar angry voice through the trees. Who was that person, and what was their issue, disrupting nature like this? Before she could say anything the cat had up and ran. At the sight of the feline's tail dissapearing in the bushes, the girl shouted "Have a nice day!".
The voice again sounded throughout the forest, filling the little girl's ears. Who was the him that woman was talking about, anyway? Suddenly the stranger appeared from the bushes, startling Sierra and her three Pokémon. Even her egg seemed to jump! Actually, it was just rattling, but it fit with the situation.
Seeing the unfamiliar woman's angry eyes upon herself, the girl quickly straightened and adjusted her outfit, pikahat and ribbon and all. Clearing her throat, she asked, "Um, sorry if this seems personal but.. is there something wrong?" She said with an anxious smile.

The wild Aron turned to Keitan with a smile, unaware of the his worry. <Outside silly. It's where you wanted to be right?> Trotting a bit forward and into a bit of shade cast by a near by tree, the steel type looked back and jerked it's head in a "follow me" manner. <Let's get you some berries, they won't be instant for your paralysis but they'll help for the long haul.? The Aron then trotted forward again, though at a slightly slower pace, maybe it noticed Keitan's slow pace in the tunnel? Nah, it was the heat, definitely the heat.
The lady continued to glare at Sierra as if she was an insect that should be squashed beneath her shoe. "Wrong? Wrong?! Oh nothing is wrong you stupid little girl. No, I'm yelling at the world because of a blasted darn Meowth for no reason. No reason at all!" She growled. Stomping her feet, she looked down at her Hoppip as it mimicked her. A hint of a smile hit her face though it was washed away pretty fast.

s i e r r a c a t a l y n n ; Keitan followed dumbly, wide-eyed at this new location. He didn't recognize any of it. Had he really gone that far deep into the tunnel so that he'd ended up on the other side of route one? Trembling from fatigue, he followed after the wild Aron. <Th-this isn't the right place..> He said, a whisper so low that only he could hear it.
He liked the idea of conquering this horrible paralysis, however, and so dealt with his predicament for now.
-----
Sierra felt chills run down her spine at the sight of the angry lady's harsh glare. A complete stranger, calling her a stupid girl? She wouldn't have it. Brows furrowing, she hugged the egg slightly tighter against her bosom. "It's not polite to call a complete stranger stupid, you know. I was just trying to be nice." She snapped back with a venom in her voice.
Seryl, Pascal, and Elvara practically jumped when they heard their trainer's angry voice - it was harsh, splitting. Perhaps its effect was greater because she usually didn't snap often.

s i e r r a c a t a l y n n ; Keitan was out of breath and energy by the time they reached the bushes bearing the so-called paralysis-curing berries. As soon as the wild Aron stopped, Keitan collapsed on the ground, panting deeply. Looking up at the fruits, he chose the one bearing the firmer, riper-looking cheri berries. He indicated as such by raising his right front leg toward it in a gesture. <That.. one..> He said, practically a whisper.
---
Sierra bit her lip to hold back a retort at the rude woman's insults. "Whatever, as long as you get out of here afterward. As-" She paused, feeling an intense rocking in her arms. Looking down with a puzzled expression, she saw cracks appear one by one on the egg's shell. "It's hatching!" She breathed, watching wide-eyed at the egg. She paid no attention at all to the trainer in front of her, all of her focus now on the egg that she'd discovered less than an hour ago.
Her Pokémon gathered around her, watching the Pokémon egg with curious eyes and bated breath. What would this new friend be?

As the Egg started to tremble with excitement, cracks around the egg began to form. It was almost as if something was trying to punch its way out of the hard shell. One thud after the next, with the inside of the egg glowing with a bright, intense light until the baby could finally escape. With a sharp pitched cry, a tiny Lickitung poked its head out of the shell, pleading for help in its escape from this prison. It was pretty tiny for a Lickitung from what it appeared, but it would grow up to a normal size rather quickly if given the proper care.

s i e r r a c a t a l y n n ; Sierra couldn't hold in a gasp as the egg began to glow intensely with a strange power. Bits and pieces of the egg's shell had slowly been punched off, and suddenly now a head broke through. It took a moment to realize just what she was seeing.
The baby was quite small, yes - but the little critter's tongue was huge. She'd never seen a pokemon quite like this before. However, she had no time to pull out her pokedex to verify whatever the hell it was, as it began to cry out for help. "Oh, don't worry, little one," Cooed Sierra with a motherly smile. Bending down to the ground, she placed the egg on the warmed grass and steadied it with one hand. Using her other hand, she began to peel sections of the broken shell off. These felt nothing like the pokemon eggs she often ate for breakfast; this one housed a living being, and so warm, gooey liquid clung onto the sides of the egg as she peeled it. The white of the egg gushed onto the grass and on her hand, her skin glistening as it was coated with the stuff.
Finally she'd gotten enough off so that the baby could climb out. The baby Lickitung looked up, eyes falling upon her new trainer's face. She quickly identified the girl as her mother.
Sierra smiled as her eyes met with the little baby Lickitung's, and she held out her arms for the wet little critter to enter them. Wobbling unsteadily, the baby stumbled toward her new trainer. Sierra gasped as the small, pink thing fell down onto the grass. Scooting closer, she picked up the baby in her arms and attempted to soothe her. "There, there, it's okay.." She said softly, eyes bright as she looked upon the vulnerable little thing.
Seryl kicked one of the egg shells boredly, while Pascal and Elvara both looked at the mean lady who was probably fuming throughout this entire display.

Trainer Roxie [glow=black,2,300] [/glow]
During the time that the strange egg was hatching, the Hoppip was floating curiously closer to the scene, wanting to get a good look at whatever was inside. It was the first time he had ever seen anything hatch before, and he couldn't help but feel mystified and full of joy when he saw it. Of course, that all ended with Roxie's angry grunt that sent him dashing back to her legs,, hugging them dearly.
"...as I was saying, before Mother Nature interrupted me. Have you seen a pesty, hideous, thieving Meowth around here? Or perhaps a pretty necklace?" She asked, each insult being said with a particular venomous appeal to them. The Meowth that was hiding in the bushes flinched with each word, not daring to come out and face her wrath.
<Oh, Miss Roxie...> The Hoppip looked up at his trainer sadly, wishing that she could be a happier person. There was so much wrong with her temperament, but he had seen her good side. Honest.

s i e r r a c a t a l y n n ; Sierra was still preoccupied as the irritated woman continued on, but at the sound of the phrase "hideous, thieving Meowth" she snapped out of her excitement for her new baby. She mentioned a pretty necklace as well - Sierra stifled the urge to reach back into her bag and feel for it.
She stood there silent for a moment, staring emotionlessly at Roxie's eyes, before she decided to go with the moralistic choice; hesitantly, she reached into her purse and retrieved the mentioned necklace, dangling it from her fingers carefully. "Is this the necklace you're talking about?.. " She inquired, hoping it was all just a misunderstanding or coincidence so that she could keep the pretty little thing.
With her free hand she placed the baby Lickitung into her open purse. Poking her head out of the bag, the pink tongue pokemon gave a squeak of happiness and rummaged around through her things. Thankfully, she'd secured important items - the baby would not be able to reach them easily.

::surskit:: ::hoppip:: Trainer Roxie
Upon seeing the familiar necklace, Roxie's face flushed with fury. Just how in the world did she get that; one of her most prized possessions? She polished the damn thing every night so it could sparkle its best. This...this brat was dangling it in the air as if she was afraid it was dirty! She instantly grabbed another Pokeball and released the Surskit that was within it. Love opened his eyes in a daze, and slowly his attention fixated on the familiar necklace in the Sierra's hand.
"I'm battling for it! It will be mine once more!" Roxie cried passionately, although blindly, as she had poured her heart and soul into maintaining that old thing. It was no family heirloom, but it was quite the antique! Love and Hope both exchanged nervous looks with each other, then at the Pokemon Sierra had out with her already. Honestly, they felt quite outmatched and outnumbered.
"Double battle. Two Pokemon each. No changing. You can start, since my Pokemon are already out." She hissed, trying to keep things as fair as possible even though she had a distasteful personality. There was that rock type to worry about, but she felt confident that she could take on the rest.
