It was returning to take another bite out of his tasty meal of a Paras. Emen panicked, trying to think of something different. Anything would work. The bug managed to evade him once when Emen was still trying to catch him, and Hera wasn't even paralyzed then. Plus having it's wings cut up was sure to make it more difficult to fly... "Dodge it! You hear me!? Get out of the way!"
Urist obeyed immediately, hoping that thing wouldn't get another bite out of him. He sidestepped as the Zubat got close and missed him...
"Now, while it's back is turned! Attack! Scratch!"
...And brought down his claws on the wild Pokemon.
::Paras:: Evades! (Number of Dodges = 1) Undamaged this round, still bearing several wounds. Uses Scratch.

The Zubat flattered to the ground, these attacks were adding up and making him even more tired. Panting, he needed more. He wanted more energy, he wanted...blood. Well no duh, he was a Zubat after all. He tried flying at a low level and bite at the small Pokemon again using Leech life.

OOC; S'all good, happens to us all.
Urist couldn't make a second dodge in a row, especially with how desperate the Zubat was at getting payback. Having those fangs sink into him again was like injecting pure fear into the Paras. He was still convinced at the thought that he could turn into this, monster. A monster that was trying to hook up with him! He ran around in irregular circles, trying to shake the cursed parasite off.
Emen was getting more angry than scared at how resilient this creature was. He estimated this fight might take awhile with it draining the very life out of his Paras, but this was beginning to test his patience. He probably had the Zubat succumb to so many screeches that it might be near deaf, and it was still bleeding out from all the scratches. "Quit running around like an idiot! Slash the thing! Cut it apart! You want this to end, then do it!"
The Paras blinked, stopping dead in his tracks as he finally got rid of the Zubat. What was slash again? Or cut? Maybe he was just talking about scratch. Having a bit of 'aggressive' encouragement inclined Urist to try another attack. These attacks really didn't hurt, but his mushies would not tolerate having their fluids sucked out! And what the mushies wanted, the mushies got. No exceptions.
Urist turned around, claws raised in the air, as he lunged forward with all his puny might. <Down you go! Kyaaaaaaaa!> He at least hoped this was the finishing move, else Emen might get unhappy with him and his mushies.

Zubatty Batty Bat [atrb=border,0,true]
{ Zubat } (Defense -6) Paralyzed Gained some health~! Hit by Scratch. Fainted. Paras gains 1 level. |
<Gaaaahhhhh!> The Zubat cried, fluttering weakly near the ground as the Paras's claws raised up in an offensive manner. He tried hard to get away from the finishing blow, but through his efforts, only felt discombobulated. His head was feeling dizzy as the sparkles of the sun's rays against the snow, making his own body appear to sparkle. It was a good thing he had poor eyesight, otherwise he would've made some wisecrack about it.
<Don't....don't make me...throw you out of a window!> He dared to threaten with defenestration as the claw slashed down his back. He let out a small cry as he fell into the slush, his body's temperature suddenly going down as he shivered in the pain.
<But...I can't read your mind. We're meant to be...> He whispered to the Paras, hoping that somehow that would convince the bug that they could be together. Oh goodness, just wait until he found out the Paras's gender.

<...Did I win?> Urist was expecting another attack from the persistent little Zubat, but it didn't come. Instead, he saw the bat knocked out in the snow. Knowing he did that, all by himself, gave him quite a bit of confidence. <I did that? I won!? I seriously won! Did you see that! Let's leave him in the snow maybe those other woodland critters will come back and use his wings for a welcome mat! Hey, what're you doing with that Pokeball?>
Emen had ideas on what he could do with a Zubat. They were always feared by junior trainers everywhere, and now he could have one. Status ailments, life-stealing attacks, fast as the wind, oh yes, he was going to train this into one vicious little tyke.
Urist panicked again. Having THAT guy follow him around almost daily, hitting on him!? Unacceptable! <NO! Trust me, you don't want that Zubat. There's a million more of them out there! We can find another one! A better one! Just not that one! PLEASE!>
"Don't worry Urist, you did well. I'm aware how hard you worked." Emen answered, blissfully unaware of what went on between the two Pokemon earlier. With that, he threw the ball at his prize.
OOC: I sense much lulz in the future...

Congrats you caught a Zubat Level: 6 Gender: Male Attacks: Leech Life, Supersonic Ability: Inner Focus The ball hit the Zubat and soon, he found himself entrapped and too weak to resist the capture. He was immobilized from attacking and found himself engulfed in the ball for as long as the trainer would want him. And just then a Jigglypuff showed up and walked near them. >You two look like some serious guttersnipes. Let me entertain you with my wonderful song. Some compare it to seeing a Double Rainbow< She said as she began to take her mic and got ready to start singing in front of Emen. Ready to use Sing. Stop her?

Emen just put away his new acquisition when a Jigglypuff decided to show up. The cute little balloon looked rather welcoming compared to the last random encounters he had. And it had a itty bitty microphone too! "Huh, you wanna sing, well go right ahead, I could use a break." He said with a smile, taking a seat on the ground. Urist however knew better. He had fallen victim to rogue Jigglypuff many times, having crude markings traced all over his body, and that song, so alluring, so pleasant. Not this time! <Wait, what? No! Stop it!> Without his trainer's approval, the Paras demanded as he quickly began scuttling to the Jigglypuff, intent on ramming into her, desperate to stop the coming disaster. It was for Emen's own good. <Cease and desist you siren!>Attempts to stop the Jigglypuff! Still boasting moderate wounds.

As the Jigglypuff was about to Sing, she closed her eyes and had just gotten off the first note...when suddenly she was stopped by one rather rude voice. And that voice clearly belonged to that one Paras that was moving in her direction. Clearly expecting the Paras to come to a stop, she didn't move an inch. As a result, she was caught by surprise and was rammed before starting to roll backwards like a ball. Shaking her heard, she jumped back to her feet and puffed up in anger. <Hey now, just WHAT was that about!?> she screeched in horrid fury. <All I was doing was going to sing a lovely ballad with my Double Rainbow voice, and then all of a sudden from out of nowhere, YOU interrupt me and THEN hit me! What in the WORLD is wrong with you!? Who do you think you are, Hobo the Clown!?This Jiggly was clearly upset at the fact that her solo would never come, apparently. But now the question became...what was going to happen next? It all depending on the Paras' answer. ::Jigglypuff:: Rammed and stopped Angry

He was looking forward to a nice song to calm him down after all the fighting. But Emen was forced to watch as Urist had to ruin everything and tackle down the gentle songstress. "Why did- I didn't ask you to do that! She meant no harm!" He yelled at the poor Paras, his Pokeball already in hand. "We don't randomly beat up every random encounter for experience points and levels! We become no better than power hungry morons if we do!"
Urist blinked. What did he think this was, a video game or something? This was a matter of survival! <You don't understand, man! She was about to sing! SING! You should NEVER let Jigglypuff sing! And-> He was cut off when Emen called Urist back to his Pokeball, unwilling to put up with his protests. With a flash of red light, the Paras was gone.
"Little bug gets scared of everything..." The boy muttered as he put the ball away. He walked over to the Jigglypuff and kneeled down in front of it, a small forgiving smile on his face. "Sorry for the interruption... but, if you're still willing to sing, I'd like to hear it."
OOC: Yeah, this'll end well.

Now this person had good taste... Unlike the Paras, this trainer had good taste. Maybe he wasn't as much of a lost cause as she had originally thought. >You made the right choice. No one regrets it when I sing.< She said as she started to sing directly to Emen instead of to Paras. >You will enjoy this so much. No doubt about it. You made the right choice tonight...< She said as she started to take a deep breath and then put the mic next to her to start singing... >California girls, we're unforgettable, Daisy dukes, bikinis on top! Sunkissed skin, So hot we'll melt your popsicle! Oh oh oh ohhhhhhh!
California girls, we're undeniable, Fine, fresh, fierce, We got it on lock! West coast represent, now put your hands up! Oh oh oh ohhhhhhh!<She stopped to see the reaction of Emen after singing such a beautiful song for him. >So what do you think?< She asked ::Jigglypuff:: Used Sing on Emen

OOC: It's super effective!
As soon as the little puffball opened her mouth and sang the first note, Emen felt a wave of serenity wash over him. He still didn't understand what she was saying, but who cares, it still sounded like heaven! As she went on, he felt himself beginning to grow weary. He still had that peaceful, warm, fuzzy feeling, but tired. Emen thought it wouldn't hurt to lay down on the ground as Jigglypuff began nearing the end of her song.
By the time she finished, Emen had fallen asleep, a content smile on his face.

Jigglypuff was a bit disappointed when she noticed that Emen had fallen asleep from her singing. But the smile on his face calmed her down as she could tell that it must have been amazing and that it just put him in the most peaceful coma he ever experienced. She then turned over to the Paras and looked at him with her microphone in her hand... >Don't you want to hear such an amazing song? Don't you want to be with your trainer?< She asked as she got ready to sing again... It was more of a rhetorical question that anything else. Of course the Paras would want to hear the song... Who wouldn't want to hear her sing? She was so fantastic! The problem was that when she turned around... The Paras was not seen anymore... Thus, Jigglypuff was disappointed and quickly took off. Left

Luckily, nothing decided to eat or tie up Emen while he was resting. After what could have been an hour, the amateur trainer woke up with a daze, yawning as he rubbed his eyes. "Wha... What happened, did I fall asleep?" He muttered before he thought about how long he could have been out. In an instant a dangerous thought came to mind and he checked his pack for all his items, counting them all to ensure nothing was stolen. "Good, didn't get robbed at least." Emen said as he began calming down.
The Jigglypuff was gone, that was for certain. He made a mental note not to be caught off guard like that again, and possibly teach any Jigglypuff he ran by a lesson... maybe he could find the same one later? "Meh, the odds are only highly unlikely." He stood back up, albeit slowly, and began walking once more.

Then, a Hoothoot appeared with a stick in its mouth. That was weird. What was it going to do? Well, it began writing in the ground with the stick! AND IT WROTE LETTERS! Maybe it knew that the trainer did not understand pokemons and decided to tell him something with letters? Or maybe tell him to get away from her territory. Thats right. On the ground it now said
My place Go away
::Hoothoot:: Wrote My Place, Go away in the dirt.

Emen blinked at the sight of this. Maybe it was only because he didn't have his own Pokemon out, but this bird was clearly trying to communicate with him. On instinct, he had his hand on a Pokeball, Hera's in fact, and thought about what to do. "Your place? I can't just go right through? Your 'place' is right next to the road I'm following."
The boy was intrigued at a Pokemon who could not only understand a human language, but write it. The fact it was a common one implied it could be a not-so-rare trait as he thought previously. Now if only he cared about the particular Pokemon...
He threw the Pokeball he held to let out Hera once more. After a pretty light show from the device, the Trapinch was back outdoors. <Huh? What's going on? I'm ready, for whatever it is.> The first thing she noticed was the Hoothoot staring back at them. <What're you looking at, we have a problem?>
::Trapinch:: Has recovered minor damage over time. Still bears wounds from earlier. Also still Paralyzed.

The Hoothoot flapped her wings irritably as the human made no inclination of moving away at all. Her feathers bristled even more as a Trapinch appeared before her. The Hoohoot used her claws to scuttle at the dust, erasing the words that she had written before. Then, with the stick still lodged in her beak, she dug the end of it into the dirt and began to carve more words. A few seconds later, the bird stepped back and revealed them: I told you to go away! Unless you want to fight? The Hoothoot looked up at the Trainer, glaring at him defiantly. ::Hoothoot:: Is challenging youAccept?

He stared down as the wild Pokemon erased her first sentence and traced another one. A fight? Well another battle after the nap wouldn't hurt. At least he wasn't the one who instigated it, but that would depend on someone's point of view, especially after his next statement; "Oblige the Hoothoot will ya? Bite."
Hera stood still for two seconds before realizing that was meant for her. <Oh! Right.> The Trapinch began a run toward the wild Pokemon, jaws open. Her moves were sluggish however, even for her species. It would be obvious to her opponent Hera was paralyzed, something Emen hoped wouldn't complicate things too much.
::Trapinch:: Attempts to strike first!

The Hoothoot wasn't going to let the enemy strike first, that wasn't how she rolled at all. She foresaw the attack coming and saw the Trapinch open it's teeth to bite her so she quickly took flight up in the air to avoid that attack. >Not going to leave?! Will I'll make you pay!< She announced as she flew straight down from her high ceiling and attempted to tackle the Trapinch. >I told you to leave! I gave you a choice! You did not take it! Now feel my wrath.< She mentioned as she tried to collide head to head with the Trapinch. ::Hoothoot:: Dodged the attack with Foresight (1/3). Used Tackle on Trapinch

The attack landed, pushing Hera back a little as she grunted from the pain. This didn't discourage her one bit however. <Ugh, so you're not a mute, huh? That's a shame, now do me a favor and HOLD STILL!>
Emen watched as the sluggish Trapinch miss, instead getting hit herself. He hummed to himself, thinking this might not have been the best choice due to her condition. Realizing he still needed to give a command, he shouted at Hera. "Get it! Bite! You just need to grab it once to seriously hurt it!"
<I'm trying!> She yelled back, clearly annoyed with Emen's reminders. Once again, she tried the same approach, taking a moment to focus herself, and began dashing toward the Hoothoot, intent on fitting that pretty little head between her jaws.
::Trapinch:: Hit by Tackle. Attempts to bite.
