The Hoothoot backed away as the Trapinch came, but she could not avoid the bite. She winced and looked on Hera. She had bitten her foot. Her glorious foot. Oh well, that was it. She had been defeated. now she had to give up her territory. She would have no place to go. But as she were about to concede defeat, a Spearow landed next to Hera and the Hoothoot. Hey, do me a favor and finish her off for me eh? i will give you a oran berry if you kill her. He said. The spearow had for a long time wanted that special territory. The Hoothoot gawked and looked at Hera. Oh no please don`t! i have nothing to give but i can tell my friends to give you a free pass trough the forest! She almost yelled, desperate. She did not want to die. Oh no not at all.
::Spearow:: Offering you a Oran berry for killing HootHoot Evil deed note: male
::Hoothoot:: Offering free pass trough her friends territories Good deed note: female
What do you choose?

Hera, and Emen, blinked as the fight was won with one simple attack, thought things soon got complicated as a Spearow soon entered the scene, with an offer for Hera and her trainer...
The Trapinch sat down, listening to the opportunist's proposal. <Wait what? Finish her off for a berry?> It seemed a petty act at best. Beating enemies senseless was one thing. It made a quite enjoyable exercise. Actually killing them was a completely different matter. Especially for just a berry. Plus, the poor Hoothoot's counter-offer wasn't as guild inducing. She wanted to see the city as fast as possible, and not having owls reign down from on high with every step would help a lot. She was a fighter, yes, but not a cold-blooded killer. This wasn't one of those circle of life kills where it's necessary to survive, no this was near pointless. She frowned at the mere thought of it, disgusted. <Who the hell do you think I am, some kind of murderer!?>
Emen stared down at his Pokemon, who seemed to be busy communicating with the newcomer. When she suddenly got up, growling at the Spearow, he thought he knew what to do. "If it's hostile, bite it!"
While she was planning on just rejecting the Spearow's offer, slapping him around didn't sound like a bad alternative. She smiled wickedly at the idea, teaching the Spearow to fight his own battles. <Get over here!> She screamed, taking a lunge toward the wild bird.
::Trapinch:: Turns down the opportunity to end Hoothoot. Attempts to bite!
OOC: Sure, Emen and his Pokemon aren't the nicest bunch, but they still have a few principles to stand by.

::hoothoot:: ::spearow:: The Spearow quickly realized that he was not going to get his way. The vicious pink... thing... was suddenly flying towards him with those impressive jowls wide open. Somehow, a bite from the vaguely insect looking creature just didn't appeal to him. He fled from the scene quickly, evidently not one to fight his own battles. He'd just asked the trainer to kill the Hoothoot after all. Turning tail was better than being dead at the jaws of a Trapinch.
Spearow is fleeing
The Hoothoot breathed a sigh of relief and turned towards the trainer gratefully. With a calm expression she moved closer to Emen tentatively. She was just as nervous around the Trapinch as Spearow had been frightened. <"Thanks... um... my offer still stands if you want to take it. I'll accompany you for a while and you won't be bothered by my friends.">
Hoothoot's offer still stands

Emen was disappointed that the Spearow escaped, but he was still satisfied with Hera chasing it off herself. He thought about what to do with the Hoothoot, but the two seemed to be getting along now. He wasn't sure he wanted the owl on his team permanently, but with the agreement the Pokémon were coming up with, he wouldn't need to. He waited, leaning against a tree as they spoke. <We would both appreciate that. Some of our other teammates are injured, like me, and we're hoping to get to the city for some rest as soon as possible.> Hera answered, giving the Hoothoot a much friendlier smile now that there was no reason to fight her. The Trapinch casually began walking back towards Emen, motioning that the owl would travel with them for the moment. The human left the tree he was leaning on ad stretched out a little, still tired from that wonderful nap. "Are you ready? I'd like to make it to the city as quickly as possible please. Lead the way."Hera and Emen accept the offer.

As the small group started making their way across the Hoothoot territory, Hoothoot continued to guide them safely through. As long as Hoothoot seemed to be in the lead, it didn't seem like they would be attacked by any of the inhabitants, after all. This Hoothoot really was telling the truth then. However, even peace was to be short-lived. As they continued to walk/fly, the group eventually started hearing a commotion coming from nearby. If the group were to go investigate the cause of the noise, they'd find a lone Hoothoot being cornered by two Sentrets. <Heheh...this is Sentret Territory now!> the Sentret on the left said with a nice laugh. The Sentret on the right didn't say anything, but it did continue to leer down at the lone Hoothoot. <So you'se better go spread da word or else I'ma hafta tear ya limb from limb. Youse gettin' da picture, runt?> The two Sentret continued to stand over the very frightened and lugubrious-looking Hoothoot, who was physically trembling on the ground. With a nasty grin, the first Sentret swiped his tail around and smacked the Hoothoot across the face with it. <Well, what're youse waitin' for? Get lost already!>The Hoothoot, after getting smacked by the tail, let out a loud cry of pain and tried to scramble back to his feet. Unfortunately, in his panic, he lost his balance and fell right over again. This did not seem to make the Sentrets any more lenient on the poor kid. The Hoothoot that had been guiding Hera and Emen suddenly let out a loud screech of surprise. <Th-those are the Sentrets!> he exclaimed. <Wh-what are they doing in our territory...!?> He turned to face Emen and Hera. <P-please, do something about them...! I don't think I can stand up to a couple brutes like them...!> ::Hoothoot:: Young Hoothoot in danger from Sentrets Hoothoot guide begs for your help ::Sentret:: ::Sentret:: 1: Bullies Young Hoothoot 2: Standing there and glaring

Both Emen and Hera were enjoying the peace and quiet, admiring the scenery as they kept their pace behind their Hoothoot friend. He thought he would actually make good time getting to civilization. Sadly, it didn't take wrong for a problem to present itself.
Hera spotted a commotion ahead. Sentrets trying to claim Hoothoot turf. She was hoping this wouldn't go perfectly. The Trapinch wanted a good excuse to fight. <Hey! You two!> She called out while Emen stood behind her, glaring down at the pair. <I suggest that you two get lost now. Not that I'd expect you to... in fact, I'm fine with that.> Emen held a second Pokeball in his hand as she spoke, blending in with Hera's tough impression. <I have a trainer on my side, and trust me, I'm only one of his friends...> She added with that same devious smirk, letting her mouth hang open to display those menacing jaws.

The two sentrets backed off a bit when they saw the huge, scary looking teeth. The first thing that happened was that the one that had been bullying the Hoothoot ran away in fear, and the other one had to restrain itself from doing so to. You coward! he yelled at the fleeing sentret before he turned towards the Trapinch. I am not scared of you! he yelled, rushing forward jumping, trying to Scratch the Trapinch with its claws.
The Hoothoot gasped, hiding behind the trainer as the battle started.
::Sentret:: Got scared and ran away
::Sentret:: Used scratch on Trapinch
::Hoothoot:: hiding behind Emen

Emen grimaced as the first attack landed on Hera. She looked tough, and had a talent for scaring her opponent, but she was in bad shape. The Trapinch wouldn't be able to hold out for long before he would be forced to switch. Emen was still sure that she could be of use. "Don't get discouraged, you can still leave a mark! Flail it around!"
It was getting harder for her to stand up, especially with being attacked. Hera wanted rest, but she refused to back down now. She would show him she was still very dangerous. Hera attempted to take hold of the Sentret while he was still close, biting him by the tail and attempting to swing her enemy around.
::Trapinch:: Paralysis yet to kick in again. Attempts to Flail Getting close to severe injuries.

The Sentret noticed the large Trapinch flailing at him but he wasn't quick enough to avoid the attack. It was weird, not being quick enough to avoid a flail from a slower pokemon, but for some reason he found himself immobilized to move for a second. Maybe it was the fact that his pride took over and he needed to get hit to get himself moving and angry at his opponent... Sure that must have been it. The Sentret took a lot of damage from the attack, much more than he had originally expected. The pokemon must have been much stronger than he originally gave credit for. But he wasn't going to give in yet. >You took away my plaything! I will make you my new plaything!< He said as he angrily looked at the Trapinch. >This is my territory! Yous better get out of here!< He said and he quickly disappeared in mid air just to land right next to the Trapinch in his attempt to smack right into the pokemon. >Fell my power! Yous better run!< He said. ::Sentret:: Hit by Flail. Used Quick Attack

Hera practically tasted satisfaction as she swung the Sentret's body around, and slamming him into the ground. She wanted more, she wanted to beat the living daylights out of this fool. It was just convenient she had a good reason. Before she could act, the Sentret disappeared in the blink of an eye, and Hera had no time to react as it materialized right beside her. The blow she suffered knocked her back a few paces, but she refused to back down and skip the fight for someone else.
Emen prayed she could hang in there a little bit longer, just in case, he had another Pokeball out to replace her if things went wrong. Hera had taken terrible, terrible damage and was still standing. Emen was actually willing to take a little risk to see if he could finish this right now. "Flail again! Share the pain Hera!"
<You call that power? C'mere, lemme show you what power I have...> She beckoned, stepping forward. Before she could even get close to the Sentret, her muscles suddenly froze up, and the antlion dropped to the ground, helpless. <Why... why now!?> The Trapinch cursed to herself.
The trainer watched in horror as his gambit failed, the paralysis finally caught up to her. Emen let out a frustrated sigh. "Seriously, there was only a one in three chance!" He kept his hand on that Pokeball, ready to keep the fight going.
::Trapinch:: Hit by Quick Attack. Unable to attack, paralyzed. Weakened, ready to drop.

The sentret smiled. Soon this place would be his! That coward would pay for running away. But for now, the trapinch was the one to suffer. But before he came that far, a whole bunch of Hoothoot came out of the trees, grabbing him and flying off with him, before dropping him into a river. The Hoothoot jumped up on Emen`s shoulder. As i said, protection. The city is just up ahead. Hope to see you again. You should heal up your pokemon in the pokecenter though She said before she flew off.
::Sentret:: Dropped in a river by a bunch of Hoothoot
::Hoothoot:: flying off. suggested you healing your pokemon at the pokecenter

Hera looked up, blinking. Was she about to lose? Impossible, she was too awesome to lose! All she had to do was overcome her crippling paralysis, dodge whatever highly accurate attack he threw at her, and then chase the speedy Sentret down and break him. Nothing to it.
The Trapinch would never get her chance. Emen waiting for the finishing strike that never happened. Before he knew it, an entire flock of Hoothoot rushed the lone Sentret, overwhelming the intruder and carrying him off. Emen just stared at the scene, immediately taking out Hera's Pokeball and recalling her. He wouldn't put up with her protests, she needed help now more than ever.
"Damn, I got lucky..." He muttered as the Hoothoot bid him farewell. After that, Emen wasted no time. With the city so close, Emen practically flew towards Electric City, his legs moving faster than he knew possible.
Final status report:
::Trapinch:: Paralyzed, extremely weak
::Paras:: Moderately injured.
::Spoink:: Not a scratch
::Zubat:: Still bearing severe injuries from that beating that, let's face it, he totally deserved.
OOC: I proclaim this thread finished. I'll just start a new one when he gets back to this route, but for now I'll do a few things at Île Électrique.
