Seeing that the battle was won, Chromate and Ethyl exchanged weary looks with each other. It was a rare moment, yes, but feeling like soldiers that had just won an important battle, they couldn't help but admire each other a little. Seamus coughed, trying to get their attention. The pair quickly snapped out of it and waddled over to Seamus, still suffering from their injuries. He got down to both knees, not caring if his pants got soiled from the dirt, and examined both of them. Ethyl's hard scales felt rough and jagged against his finger tips, intriguing him as he looked at each of her wounds. Chromate's skin was much smoother, like a plastic armor that covered his entire body. The only difference were his two silver stingers, which had the cool touch of metal. He smiled down at them, knowing that they were worried about being reprimanded. "Settle down, you two. Those wounds of yours might get infected." He warned as he got out two Potions each, and several paper towels that he kept in handy in his backpack. Gently cleaning off their wounds, then spraying them with the potions, he watched in amazement as they healed before his eyes. Potions x 2 removed. When that was done with, he returned both of the Pokemon into their Pokeballs, allowing them some more rest. He looked around the scenic view of the route, not quite sure where to go from here. He had a crap load of extra Pokemon, apparently a gift for being such an accomplished scientist or something. He didn't really care, but he liked what he got. Taking in a deep breath of air, he took out a list of things to do. There was a rare underwater plant that he wanted to get his hands on, called Underaqua Mismagium Plantis. How interesting! Perhaps if he went near the water's shore, he could find some for future study. Tagged: Mods/Admins. ooc:// You did it right, don't worry. Pokemon:

[/tt] Blaze was standing a bit further down the bridge, leaning against the railing of the massive bridge. Ryuuku was flying a bit further off, his black skin glistening in the sun. The pokemon was teasing the water dwellers below, sometimes dipping down just low enough to goad them into using a water gun before flying away again. It was a beautiful bridge, thought Blaze. He really enjoyed being back again. Much less stuffy than that forest, and with a greater possibility of meeting a trainer that wasn't half baked. In fact, he had spied the man, Seamus, with the corner of his eyes, watched him beat the fisherman with relative ease.
"You don't seem like too bad of a trainer," said Blaze, though not bothering to take his eyes off his beloved Charizard. "How 'bout you try your skill against me?" Maybe, just maybe he would be able to find a trainer that would be worthy to be a member of TD. Right now, all he had met were losers that would be unable to handle the pressure of being a criminal. And if they were, they were still to weak to handle the jobs he had in mind.

Seamus looked at the trainer, a bit annoyed for appearing as soon as he finished his battle with the fisherman. He really wanted to study the plant life around here, and already he was being challenged? His eyes narrowed through his orange sunglasses, and no, he didn't look groovy at all. It was an experiment he was doing to see if the orange sunglasses would block out more of the sun's rays than the black ones. Sorry to say, that was not the case. The world did seem much happier and brighter though, which is why he continued to wear them. "Pick on me when I'm weak, huh? That's fine. I guess I do have another Pokemon or two that could handle a battle." He replied to the younger man, actually, the really young man. He looked like he was hardly above being the legal drinking age. The 42 year old man sighed, figuring that he might as well try to keep up with these younger trainers of this generation. Always battling and stuff, weren't they? His eyes trailed Blaze's line of vision when he noticed that he wasn't being looked at directly. Instead, there was a great beast flying about them. Not as interested in the black dragon as he was in that Gyarados from before, but still curious, he couldn't help but crack a smile. What was it with guys and big Pokemon? Compensating for something much? Wordlessly, Seamus pulled out a single Pokeball, expecting a single battle with this trainer. However, if he wanted a double battle, then he would be more than glad to do one. "Titanium." He called, and in a flash of red and gold light, a Metang hovered right beside him. The psychic type's steely red eyes gazed upon the other trainer, not understanding what to make of the situation. If he was to battle, then that was fine, but more words should be used. [/tt] Blaze finally turned back to look at the trainer. "I wouldn't dare," he said, before looking through his pockets and taking out a couple of super potions. " Here, if anything, it'll save you a trip to the pokecenter." x2 {To be used immediately, breaks down if stored}" I'll definitely take this one on, though. Quite an interesting Pokémon you have, there. I haven't seen one in quite a while." Blaze looked back at Ryuuku. The Pokémon seemed to be having too much fun to notice much, so he took out another Pokémon. "Let's show this guy how pretty you are," he said, releasing his Moltres. He hadn't used her in battle for quite some time now and she took a few laps in the sky before settling down onto Blaze's shoulders. " Heal them up, and then we'll start," he told the man. " I'm not in too much of a hurry." As he waited, his hand went up to stoke the fiery feathers of his bird Pokémon. She let out a soft trill and ran her beak in her trainer's hair. Her fire mingled with Blaze's hair and clothing, but nothing seemed to burn. ::moltres::

Taking hold of the two potions, which were of a strange color, he had to adjust his glasses to see if they were what he thought they were. Yes, Super Potions. Something that was much stronger than a regular Potion, which was what he believed that Ethyl and Chromate needed. Pausing to give a glance at the floating Metang, he rested the two potions on its head, as if it was a table. <...really, master?> It asked, taking no effort to balance them on his head. Its top part was nice and smooth, as if an effort to polish its body had been made. The potions didn't even wobble as Titanium hovered up and down. Seamus paid no mind to Titanium's voice of disapproval, and released the Totodile and Beedrill. Both had a tired look on their faces, as if they had been in the middle of a nap. Silently he sprayed the Super Potions on them, and in an instant their eyes perked up. <What the hell?! Was that crack?> The Beedrill shuddered, his front stingers trembling from the burst of new energy. In fact, he might've had a stronger dose than needed. Buzzing around the Metang like a crazy tornado, the Metang made no motion to stop him. Ethyl merely rolled her eyes. Boys. "...That was kind of you. Thank you. Would you like the first move?" He asked, motioning for Chromate to stop being such an idiot with a wave of his hand. The Beedrill paid some notice, and instead started buzzing in the background from the overdose of "Super Potion". Ethyl and Titanium calmly waited at his side, though Titanium was much more eager for a battle. Tagged: Mods/Admins. ooc:// How many Pokémon do you want to use? Pokemon: Titanium: Ready For Battle

[/tt] Blaze gave a little smile to the older trainer. He was in a happy mood, being on the bridge again, the wooden road extending far on either sides. They were reinforced and protected against Pokémon attacks -- thank god -- and walking on the slightly wobbly boards just made him feel alive. Or It might just have been the smell of the lake and seeing Ryuuku so happy. " If you insist," he said, before extending his right arm, where his Pokémon had rested. " Come on then, Phen, let's show him what you've got. Agility, then Fire Spin." The Moltres spread her wings wide and then flew into the sky, doing a few loops overhead and building up her speed to ensure a swifter response to any attacks that are dealt her way. The then shot back down to where the trainers and Pokémon were, opening her beak to unleash a burst of flame that spiralled down, looking to trap the metallic Pokémon in it's spin. Not knowing that the Moltres was a legendary Pokémon was one reason why Seamus wasn't as intimidated as he could have been, but also because he was expecting a loss. Why be scared about losing when you knew that you were bound to lose? From what he studied about the properties of Pokemon, his Metang's body was a very powerful conductor of heat. It easily traveled across the steel type's body, making it do extra damage compared to a Pokémon that wasn't weak to it. Studies even said that the damage was supposed to be doubled, though how they measured that, he wasn't sure. "I guess a bird that size needs the extra speed." He mused mostly to himself, just barely seeing Ethyl bob her head in agreement. Not that he needed her opinion, but it was good to see that someone was listening to his musings. As the fire tornado spiraled towards the Metang, it looked at it in an intense panic. Raising its short arms to protect its eyes, the most vulnerable part of his body, the constant swirl of fire kept him trapped in place. "Titanium is in trouble for once. Very well, go forth with Magnet Rise. See if you can aim a Confusion as well." He advised, mostly curious to see how his own Pokémon would be able to react to the intense feeling of pain. This was their first battle against a fire type, and he knew he was bound to encounter one someday. He didn't expect to fight one on the Water Route though. The Metang let out a gurgle of strange electronic sounds, registering its trainers command. With its arms extended outward, it started pushing the flames away as it rose higher in the fire spin. Catching a hint of an opening through the flames, keeping a good eye on the speedy, flying bird, it aimed a swirly Confusion attack of its own. |Level 24| Tagged: Mods/Admins. ooc:// Pokemon: Titanium: Hit By Fire Spin. [/tt] Blaze watched rather interestedly at the Metang. He had truly never seen a Pokémon like that before, and it intrigued him quite a bit. Still a professor at heart, his curiosity gnawed his insides. He would love to be able to study this pokemon, but this was his day off the job, and he had wanted to have a relaxing match against a trainer that wouldn't fall from a single move. The metang lived up to his expectations as it took the fire spin and somehow still managed to get an attack out. Phoenicia had been keeping a steady stream of fire going, making sure to circle the metang with the hot flames. She had not been prepared for the confusion attack, which made her falter in the air and stopped the fire from coming out of her beak. Blaze's face turned just a little sour but reminded himself that he wasn't even out here on duty, so it shouldn't really matter. He did hate to lose, though. " Phen, follow up with Flamethrower," said Blaze as he watched the bird of flame right itself again and flying back and forth overhead. She gave a trill to acknowledge the command but waited for an opportune moment to attack. When she thought the time was right, she came down for a flyby, making sure to release the powerful fire attack at the metallic pokemon, spraying the flames a bit wider than necessary for lower power, but better accuracy. As the Fire Spin around the Metang slowly faded into the distance, its weary eyes scanned the area around it. Blue metal tainted an orangish blue from the intense heat lingered on its body, though it wasn't in pain. Cooling off was more of a relief if anything, and ever so slowly, his natural blue color returned to him. Hovering in the sky where the Moltres was gliding around it, the Metang watched it cautiously, knowing that she was ready to attack it at any moment. "Let's take a chance. Metronome." Seamus commanded with an interested tone, wondering what would come from the move. As the Flamethrower approached Titanium like a dreaded fire snake, its eyes began to blink rapidly as it called forth a completely random move. In a sudden spurt of the moment, the Metang spun its arms around rapidly, charging bravely through the flamethrower with a Rapid Spin. The flamethrower heated up its body, making the Metang take serious damage, yet it propelled itself closer to the Moltres anyways. <CRACK.> Chromate zoomed right over Seamus's head, letting his front stinger graze against his long hair as he zoomed away from the battle scene and over the pond. Seamus looked up at the Beedrill, annoyed. 'What the heck is up with him?' He wondered, completely astounded. |Level 24| Tagged: Mods/Admins. ooc:// For some clarification on the Metronome. [/tt] Blaze watched with interest as a metronome was used. Quite a gambler, this trainer was. Most wouldn't risk the chance of having a more or less useless attack come out from their pokemon, but he guessed that the luck factor was part of a metronome's beauty. It also had added an element of surprise, as Blaze tried to determine what the metang was going to do before anything drastic happened. At least it wasn't a surf, or anything. No signs of the dreaded water attacks that completely decimated his team. " On guard, dodge, and then loop in to finish it off," he commanded. The moltres had already started to fly up again, but the rapid spin through the flamethrower gave her a startle and she was hit full on, the spikes on the metang's body tearing her skin and showering the air in tiny mangled orange feathers. Blae clenched his fist when he saw this and wanted to change his orders, but Phoenicia was already preparing for her attack. With her chest muscles injured, it was difficult for her to fly. Instead of flying upwards and coming down for the attack, she simply shot another stream of flamethrower at the metang, hoping for the best. She wasn't as adept at flying in place, especially not while injured. To make it worse, the Beedrill's sudden movement surprised her, making her attack falter for just a bit before she picked up the intensity. Blaze glanced away from the battle to see what had startled his Pokémon. The Beedrill's movement remained a mystery as it suddenly shot off. If this was an official match, he would have cried foul. It did not matter though. His Pokémon was going to win this. The trainer clenched his fists for a second before releasing the pressure. Of course Phen was not going to lose. With a body that was as red hot as a spicy chili pepper, the Metang faltered in its Magnet Rise as it suffered from another dose of Flamethrower. The legendary beast lived up to her name, that was for sure. Slowly sinking lower to the ground as the rush of flames licked against the Metang's body, it found that its health was quickly depleting. Once the psychic type finally touched the coldness of the ground, it simply couldn't keep up with the heat of the attack and fainted on the spot. "Ah. I didn't think it could take that many fire attacks." Seamus said out loud, not caring how cruel it sounded. According to the laws, Titanium belonged to him. It didn't even have a gender, so there was no use in babying the thing like it was a pet rock. Titanium's Pokeball in hand, he easily returned the creature by simply pointing the contraption at it. How technology has improved, he must say, it was very interesting. "If you're up for another opponent...perhaps Ethyl would be a good match up." He looked down at the Totodile, who flinched as she heard her name called. She had to fight that big thing? She shuddered as her sharp eyes gazed up at the majestic fire bird. How was she even supposed to reach it when it flew like that...? "...it seems my team has a serious flaw. I don't think we'll fare well against a fire type that can fly, but let's try it anyways. Ethyl, start with Scary Face. Lure it in, or something." He waved his hand in the air as he tried to find the words he wanted, but ended up using much simpler terms. The Totodile gasped when she was sent out to fight and not that stupid Chromate. Why? Why?! She made her way closer to where the Moltres flew, signaling that she was ready to fight. [/tt] Oh, how Blaze hated water Pokémon. They were the bane of his existence, and the reason Flash was on his team. He wasn't going to just switch his Pokémon out like a coward, though. Sorry, Phen, he thought to himself. The Pokémon did not deserve this. The trainer watched his Moltres fly around, before stopping all of a sudden due to the scary face, startling her and making her lose momentum. Blaze took the sudden halt as an opportunity to attack. If he was correct, his Pokémon was about high enough level for a more complex technique he had been wanting to try out. " Phen, try out Ancientpower!" he commanded. " I know you are able to do it, girl." The moltres seemed a bit uneasy, as she had never tried that attack before, but started to concentrate nonetheless on the powers of her ancestors, that used to roam the skies. From the side of the lake, stones started to float out, still dripping from water, before they flew toward the totodile as a high speed. The attack wasn't too accurate, though, and Blaze had to step aside to avoid getting hit by one of the flying rocks. But he could definitely get used to an attack like that. 'Try? What happened to that confidence of his all of a sudden?' Seamus wondered with an indifferent air of curiosity. He kind of wanted to know, but at the same time he wasn't going to do anything to satisfy that curiosity. All he could really do was wait and see -- one of a scientist's favorite things to do. Feeling a strange shudder rumbling from the ground, Seamus looked around at the scenery cautiously. Whatever this was, it bothered him. One of the mystical rocks nearly hit the legendary fire trainer, and some of the dust from the move settled right over his glasses. Rubbing them clean with his fingers, he looked up at the battling Pokemon, clearly annoyed that he had gotten involved in it. Ethyl tried to dodge a majority of the rocks, but she ended up getting hit by one of them. It rolled smoothly over her body, crushing her with each unbearable second it remained on her. She gasped for breath as if all of the oxygen in her lungs had been rolled right out of her, clutching her chest to try and calm down the pain. "Oh bother. Use Aqua Tail, and see where that gets you." He watched as the bird flapped its majestic wings, making small embers fall to the ground, only to slowly burn away into nothing. Yes, he was almost positive that any other move in the Totodile's arsenal would've been a bad idea. Ethyl grunted at the command, a bit at a loss for words as she gazed up at the nearly unreachable target. Well, maybe she could try? She made a run for the water and dove right in it, popping her head out to the surface as she gazed up at the bird. Water swirled around her tail dangerously as she gathered up energy, then when she was ready, dove back down and sped back up to the surface for the extra speed. [/tt] Blaze was rather pleased with the attack his Pokémon had used. It seemed strong enough and staying far away from one's opponent was always preferred, especially when they are a water type. "That was wonderful," he told the flying pokemon, who replied with a soft trill. The Pokémon had started to fly back and forth again. Blaze smirked at the command for an aqua tail. Normally, a water attack would send shivers down his spine, but not when his own Pokémon was so high off the ground. That confidence might have been why Blaze looked so shocked when the attack actually hit, the water making contact with the wings of fire, spewing water vapour around Phen. The attack, more devastating that Blaze would admit it, made his Pokémon horribly out of balance. Coupled with her already weakened muscles, the moltres found herself falling, falling, falling, closer and closer to the water. The trainer had a look of horror as he watched his beautiful bird approach the water below and immediately recalled her before all her fire could be extinguished.
"You were beautiful, up there," Blaze whispered to the pokeball, before pocketing it in exchange for another one. The last thing he expected was for any of his Pokémon to lose. This trainer wasn't so bad after all. He considered using Flash, but did not want to admit defeat against the little water Pokémon. Maybe it was time to run this trainer over. "Ryuu, time for some fun," he called out. It did not take long before the Charizard who had been flying leisurely above the lake made his way to his trainer's side. Blaze placed a hand on the black scales as he called out his order. "Finish the battle off with a Dragon Pulse."

He slowly buzzed over the bridge, giving himself a nice little perch as he occasionally shot Ryuuku an annoyed, jealous look. Not that anyone else was paying attention to the Beedrill, because honestly, no one cared. "..." Seamus stared nonchalantly as Ethyl stood her ground against the giant fire dragon, legs trembling in quiet fear. There wasn't much else she could do, knowing that her trainer would make her stay out until she wasn't able to physically move any longer. Holding her breath as the Dragon Pulse was formed, she waited until it was shot at her before making her attempt to dodge. It landed on the ground shortly behind her, some of her lower body getting hit by the move. The recoil from the move was enough to send her flying into the air, and with a pained yelp, landed awkwardly on the ground with an arm stretched oddly over her back. Has Fainted "Alright. The charizard landed next to Blaze, expecting a some kind of praise, but only got a halfhearted pat on the neck as the trainer thought about his next move. This trainer had strong Pokémon in his arsenal. Blaze was on a self-granted vacation from his heinous activities, but this opportunity was too golden to just let it pass. Besides, it seemed as if his opponent had forgotten one of his Pokémon... Blaze reached into his pocket and took out a snag ball net ball and threw it at the beedrill. The unsuspecting Pokémon did not see the item coming and was hit by the capsule and was sucked in. " Retrieve it," Blaze told his pokemon, and the Charizard made his way over to grab the item in its claws lest the trainer reacted. The trainer smirked. " Thank you for the battle," he told Seamus as Blaze walked over to the Charizard, climbing on top if it. " And for this Pokémon. I trust it to be just as strong intriguing as the rest of your team." The Charizard took off with the trainer on his back until they were high enough to be out of reach. " And before I forget, here," said Blaze, throwing a couple of crystal-like items toward the man. " This is my job, so, no hard feelings, alright?" It was obvious that those words did not mean much to Blaze, nor did the trainer care whether he made enemies out of this guy. Now that...that was rude. He tried to make an attempt to steal back the Snag Ball, but the Charizard beat him to it. He glared at the cocky little snot venomously, absolutely despising him for stealing one of his things. He even had the gall to leave some revives behind, as if he was a good guy. What the bloody hell? "That...wasn't necessary." He grumbled, clearly pissed that he encountered such an unpleasant person. Taking the revives in his hands, he released both Ethyl and Titanium so he could use it on them. With both Pokemon revived, and picking up on his sour mood, they gazed at him curiously. They didn't have time to figure out what was up though, for he swiftly returned them back into their Pokeballs. He walked away from the bridge, and instead walked his way slowly around the pond in thought. They continued to wage this battle against each other even as Seamus was steadily nearing them. The two hadn't expected a visitor, as trainers usually opted for the bridge for quick access to the next city and avoidance of many pokemon battles. The two were also too entranced in each other's minds to even acknowledge his coming - it would take something pretty distracting to shake either out of their concentration game.

Xenon was enjoying his stroll with his trainer a bit too much, for he had hopped a bit too far ahead of his trainer. Upon seeing two Pokemon battling not far off from the lake, he stopped, trying to see what was going on. What he didn't realize was that his trainer's long legs were catching up with him, and in a few small moments, he was swiftly kicked into the pond. A bit dazed from his Starter Pokemon being stolen, Seamus hadn't quite realized what just happened, and started walking on ahead. Upset at what had just happened, the Pineco swam the best it could to the shore and chased after his master with haste. <You damn idiot! Look 'it whatchu gone do ta' me!> He cried, hopping like a mad child. "...ah. Trying to tell me you want to battle, huh?" He asked, just noticing the two strange Pokemon using Confusion on each other. Looked like it hardly hurt, actually. Probably weak. While he finally chose Xenon's battle partner, the Pineco was ranting about how he was always ignored. "Acetate, come." He ordered, and soon the Shieldon appeared in a flash of light. <See? See? Ignoring me! I bet yous that you gonna make me sit here and watch while he fights them twos!> The Pineco cried with angst, while the Shieldon stared idly at the said battle. They looked interesting and weird to him, perhaps aliens of some kind? Before the Pineco could say anymore, Seamus interrupted him with some extra commands. "Get their attention with Metal Sound.
