Amid the waves created by Xenon’s furious Rapid Spin, the Supersonic waves had merely been absorbed into the waters, never to reach the frantic Pineco’s body. Now if he had been restrained, that was bound to be a different story. Unless the Tentacool was very lucky with the normally inaccurate attack, then Xenon would most likely be affected by such a move. The Pinco grunted in distaste as some of the water went down his throat, but he continued to fight to get back over to the shore. Gasping for that sweet, merciful air, he finally made it into the swampy shallow end. It was dirty and murky, and some of the algae had attached itself to his body to slow him down, but he was safe. ”Alright, Xenon. You’ve done well.” Seamus stated without a hint of a smile towards the Pineco, taking out his Pokeball and returning him. The only reason he hadn’t done so earlier was because the Pineco was too far out in the pond for the Pokeball to reach it. Now that his Pineco was practically exhausted from all of that swimming, there was no reason for him to continue the battle. ’Maybe after he gets swimming lessons…’ He mused, returning the bug type into his Pokeball. He wasn’t about to give up on this Tentacool just yet, however. Taking out another Pokeball from his jacket’s deep pockets, he tossed one up into the air to release a strange looking creature. This was his first time letting her outside actually, having gotten her not so long ago. When he received the Magnemite, all they really told him was that it was a ‘she’, even though she didn’t look like a Pokemon that could reproduce. The Magnemite hovered curiously over the pond, watching as the magnetic power that kept her in the air was shown in the ripples of the pond beneath her. ”Your name is Neon, Magnemite. Please, take care of that beast with Thundershock.” He asked kindly, rather liking her appearance. The Magnemite examined her trainer with a cold, stern eye before going off to heed his command. The two magnets on her side charged up with a medium dose of electricity and shot the blast at the blue blob in the pond. ::magnemite:: |Level 10| Uses Thundershock Tagged: Mods/Admins/Global Mods ooc:// So Xenon was returned. Oh god. An electric type. As her potential prey was returned to its Pokeball and the Magnemite sent out, Tentacool found her hopes of victory and food both dashed. As a water type in water, this was the end of the road for the hungry jellyfish. The blast was just enough to finish off the Tentacool. Water conducts electricity, and physics was most certainly not on her side. pain coursed through her gelatinous body, and with a groan of submission, she slumped into the water, quite unconscious. Several startled Magikarp dashed away from the affected area as she fainted, the world becoming a blurry apparition to her. All she wanted was food, and now she had been turned into fish sticks! It wasn't a good day for her. Her unconscious form began to float away. If Seamus and her Pokémon were done with her, she was proscribed to drift along the route until she regained consciousness. Tentacool has fainted. Xenon and Neon gain.5 levels.

At the Tentacool’s defeat, Neon buzzed happily, quite pleased at her easy victory over her opponent. She hovered back to Acetate and her master, bobbing her head up and down in a nod towards him. Seamus merely rested a firm hand on the top of her cool head, a bit amazed to find a lot of pressure pushing up against his hand. The way she was hovering in the air was curious, so he couldn’t help but put a hand under her, waving it back and forth as a magnetic force greeted his hand. Her hovering hadn’t faltered as she let her trainer satisfy his curiosity. <You did good. A lot of that victory was credited to Xenon though. Be sure to thank him.> Acetate responded, looking up at the newest member of the team. As a fellow steel type, he couldn’t help but like her a little. She seemed to smile with her single eye and twirled around his sturdy body, where he refused to budge. With the faintest of smiles, he watched as the Magnemite circled around him in a playful manner. ”I’d like to catch it, Neon. Drop this Pokeball on it, please.” He requested, holding out an empty Pokeball for the Magnemite to carry. She rested it on her head as she floated out over the pond, with the ripples of the pond tracing her every movement. When she was finally over the fainted water type’s body, she dropped the Pokeball right on her, so it would at least try and catch the weakened Pokémon. The Tentacool was hit with the pokeball on her unconscious head. The poor water type was sucked into the red and white ball in a dazzling display of red lights. As the ball dropped down, hoping to shaking back in forth as the wild Pokémon resisted, it instead splashed into the river where it began to sink!
The ball fell beneath the surface and out of sight. No longer could Seamus see the outcome of the capture. Did he capture the raping Pokémon or did the water type escape beneath the waves?
If one went diving however they would find a cold empty pokeball with a still fainted Tentacool slowly begin the rise back to the surface of the water. Maybe you'd like to try again? However you might want to make it sooner rather then later. The Tentacool seemed to already begin it's process of awaking.
Tentacool escaped. Pokeball can be reused.

Seamus’s eyes glistened with curiosity when he saw the Tentacool escape, even though it didn’t appear to have any energy to fight. Something about that made him curious about what Pokémon really went through when they ‘fainted’, as compared to when a human faints. In fact, he recalled something odd he heard a while back. It could have only been a rumor, but fainted Pokémon were able to use things called ‘HM Moves’. Quite mysterious, wasn’t it? If he could get a closer look at this fainted Pokemon, that would successfully cure him of his curiosity. ”Neon. Retrieve the ball and try again.” He ordered as soon as he saw the Pokeball in good, working condition. Having tried using them in water before, he found that they were still usable in liquid solutions. My, how interesting this free technology was. The Magnemite didn’t make any acknowledgements of Seamus’s command, except for silently following through with it. Gently picking it up with her magnets, making the sphere sort of levitate as she hovered over to the twitching Tentacool. She gave it a look of pity as she dropped the sphere on its blobby head once more, most likely not harming it do to the water type’s soft body. All she could do now was wait with her trainer so see if the Pokeball worked its charms. Reused. |Level 10.5| Tagged: Mods/Admins/Global Mods ooc:// Yay for not successful capturing. Pokemon: Neon. Tentacool's brief reunion with freedom was cut short, as she was suddenly forced into an unwanted amity with a Pokeball. This time, the ball drifted to the shore rather than sinking. Far too castigated to resist the trapping confines of the marble sized ball for a second time, Tentacool resigned herself to her fate and settled down for some much needed rest. She hoped this Trainer would give her some meat to eat. The nerve of hurting her so for simply trying to get a meal! [center[ You caught Tentacool Level: 14 Gender: Female Moves: Poison Sting. At the successful capture of the Tentacool, Neon had carried it back to her human, assuming that he wanted the ball in his possession. Else why make such an effort to keep such a thing? Dropping it delicately in his hands, careful not to damage the sphere in fear of being reprimanded, Seamus adjusted his glasses as he took a good look at the Pokemon inside of it. Yes, through the bit of red on the top, he could vaguely see the Tentacool’s transparent image. She looked exhausted and bitter, and he had no reason to doubt this. As much as he would’ve liked to tend to her wounds, he had no room for 9 Pokemon. Instead, he pointed his Pokedex at it and transported the Pokeball to his PC. From what he heard, there were people that tended to the PC Pokemon in the Pokemon Center, which made him wonder. Did PC stand for ‘Personal Computer’, or ‘Pokemon Center’? The thought was curious, though he trusted the Pokemon Centers enough to take good care of his property. ”Let’s take a break.” He went down on one knee to open up his heavy, metallic suitcase. He had a variety of traveling essentials within it, but it somehow had room for a blanket. Just something to keep his body off of the grass, which he happened to be allergic to. He moved a bit away from the pond, just in case some dirty little creature wanted to soil his clothing. Neon and Acetate chose to ignore each other for the moment and settled down on the grass, seeing that it was much too small for anyone other than Seamus to rest on. He wasn’t sure how long they stayed like that, with the sun hardly appearing due to the murky white clouds that painted the sky. Late afternoon would soon turn into evening, and he wondered how long this peacefulness would last. ::magnemite:: + ::shieldon:: |Level 10.5| + |18.5| Tagged: Mods/Admins/Global Mods ooc:// derping around, the christmas tree, have a happy holiday. la-di-da-di-da~ Pokemon: Neon + Acetate

On the side of the pond, the grass seemed to shift a bit. Something was making its way toward the water, but it was so low down that it was hard to actually see. As it finally approached the bank, a little purple head popped out onto the muddy surface as it dipped down to drink a bit of water. The ekans was a bit injured, though, and if you looked carefully a few scratches along its scales could be seen. It had just survived a pidgey attack and needed to replenish her strength a bit.
She had only taken a few sips when a little ball of mud was hurled at her, hitting her smack in the face. She let out an angry hiss. What was going on? Her eyes darted from side to side until she spotted the culprit. A barboach, swimming in the shallow end of the water, was laughing maniacally, preparing another ball of mud to throw at the snake. The ekans hissed at it again. <Coward!> she snapped. She couldn't really go into the water, lest she wanted her wounds to all get infected, though she would love to give it a piece of her mind.
Barboach used mud slap on ekans!

- Not having the need to literally sleep like all living creatures, Neon merely rested her body against the snoozing Shieldon, both content to let their bodies heal up during the peace and quiet. She hadn't gotten much physical activity though, having only used a Thundershock in the previous battle, hardly feeling a need to rest at all. She was growing restless, and finally decided to sneak off while Seamus was attempting to sleep on that flimsy blanket of his.
- Older men seemed to need more sleep, she noted, having seen other humans before. From what she could imagine, his back would kill him when he woke up. She hovered over him, careful not to disturb him with her magnetic waves. 'Not my problem...' She concluded, now choosing to examine the strange sounds she heard near the pond.
- <Cow...ard?> She tilted her head at the new vocabulary word, a bit curious to see who had said it as well. The Magnemite ventured further along until she reached a purple, slithering snake covered in brown ooze. This she registered as 'mud'. Her body charged with static at the horror of the site, looking around nervously to see where the source of the mud was.
- The snake was hurt though, and she felt a need to examine what was wrong with the Pokémon. Not having a need to eat made her much more friendly to other Pokemon, whereas others had to worry about predators and such. She always sensed that she was out of the loop with most Pokemon, but she tried to get along with them anyways. <Wounds?> She asked, still a bit skittish from the filthy mud on the snake.

The Magnemite was approaching her, and after the near miss with the Pidgey, she was a little wary of hovering or flying things, and so recoiled from it. But after it didn't attack her, she relaxed a little and looked up at the Magnemite. "Yessss. Thisss sssslimy heap of mud won't let me drink from the pool without throwing mud at me." She glared at Barboach, who could be heard laughing rather smugly. This was not congruous with the fact that most living creatures needed hydration to survive. The Barboach saw the hovering Magnemite, and contrary to the Magnemite's initial fear, he felt rather mischieveous, and so hurled a slab of mud his way. Barboach used Mud Slap on Neon.

The Barboach was thrown into the water. He popped his head back out with a frown. Guess this was going to go the hard way! He shot a Water Gun at the so called Neon. Just a change of tactics, after all he did have an eclectic set of moves at his command. Why wouldn't he use it? The Ekans sighed. <Hurry up would you pleasssse?> She asked rather mad. - The Magnemite felt no joy as she crashed into the Barboach, even though she wasn't sure at first if that was where the elusive Pokémon was hiding. It seemed to do the trick, since the water being was chased into the water from the blow. Hiding, was it? She hovered with a degree of uncertainty about the pond, not sure if she should continue this battle without her trainer's supervision. The Ekans had the right for safe drinking water, didn't it?
- Right as the water gun sprayed itself all over her cool, steely body, she turned with an evil glare towards the Barboach. It hadn't really hurt her, having a strong resistance to those types of moves, and it aided her in clearing the mud away from her vision. Now that she could see properly, to some degree, she charged forward with the Ekan's beckoning, using yet another Tackle on the water type.
- The sounds of battling made the Shieldon stir from his nap, making a small rustling sound from his spot in the grass. Sleepy eyes dazed at Seamus's backside, noticing that the man had stripped himself of his heavy jacket and was using it as a blanket. Something wasn't right about this scene. Oh, if only his brain would start working faster.

- The mud soaked the Magnemite's entire body, and she cackled with rage, diving straight into the water with a small splash to try and clean the mush off of her. There was even plant life in the damn mud, making it difficult to wash it off of her. Curse having no limbs. Curse it all! She poked her head out of the water, easily hovering back into the air with a little less mud on her body, but her vision was clearly disturbed.
- She couldn't really see the Barboach in this mess of water, seeing that his camouflage was uncannily perfect. Still a bit ticked that she had been tainted by this nasty earthen rejection, she dived back into the water with a Tackle attack in mind, but completely missed. The electricity around her magnets hissed in annoyance as she raised herself back up into the air, already exhausted from the fight.
- '...Neon?' The Shieldon had just remembered the Magnemite's cute little name, and how she had been absent in the area. Where was she? He shakily stood up, sleep quickly disappearing as he observed the grassy area around them. The pond was further up the slope of the hill, out of their view, but with a simple climb, he could probably see the commotion that was going on. He trotted up the hill, a nagging feeling pecking at his brain until he finally came across the scene with the Barboach and the Ekans. Of course, Neon had to be fighting something. Figures that all of the bad stuff happened when their guard was down.
- He looked at the pond, completely helpless on the sidelines. If he got in that water, he would sink like an anchor. Curse his poor luck. He knew Neon didn't stand a hint of a chance, but there was someone that could help her out. He dashed back down the hill and unlocked Seamus's suitcase with his nose, opening it to reveal its contents. Seamus was still sleeping rather peacefully, unaware of what was going on outside. Acetate looked at each of the Pokeballs through the top, seeing the ones that were inside each capsule. Ethyl was the one he wanted, and she looked up at him with curious eyes.
- <Emergency. You'll have to help.> He briefly explained as he tapped the button's center, letting out the Totodile. She stretched her arms in the air, feeling great even though she had a terrifying battle earlier in the day. That rest had done her some good! <The sounds. Is that it?> She guessed, hearing the sounds of a battle overhead. The Shieldon nodded and led the Totodile back up the hill, where they watched the battle with a nervous air, ready to jump in in case Neon went down.

The Barboach snickered at the electric magnet like pokemon's miss. It seems that his guess of using another Mud Slap had worked. Now, since water gun had erased the mud last time, he decided to change tactics.
Diving deep into the bottom of the pond, the fish gathered a bunch of mud and backed it hard together in a matter of moment. Well practiced fins it seemed.
Swimming back up and breaking the surface, the Barboach threw the mud bomb at Neon, laughing all the while.

- Seamus started to stir at the sounds that disturbed his perfect slumber, rolling to his left side in order to get more comfortable. His face no away from the blinding sun, his body awkwardly met the tool touch of his suitcase. His eyes started to blink open, confused at the feeling. Why was it open? At first it was all confusion, then understanding. He shot upright in a panic, making sure everything was in check. Ethyl's Pokeball was empty, laying right outside of the case, and Neon and Acetate were missing.
- Oblivious to their trainer's confusion, the two Pokemon on the sidelines watched with worry as the Mud Bomb sent Neon right into the water. This was no mere Mud Slap, that she was barely able to endure. It was ugly. It was worse. The Magnemite started to sink into the water, the mud and her weight taking her down easily.
- Acetate stared in shock while Ethyl made a speedy dive into the water, zooming past some fish that swam away in fear as she retrieved the Magnemite. She was so heavy, gosh. Having an idea, she turned her claws to Metal, trying to lift metal with metal. Made sense in theory, right? By the miracle of an attack raising ability, it worked. She managed to pull the fainted Magnemite up to shore, under Acetate's protection.
- <I don't really know what's going on, but...your expression. I don't like it.> The Totodile said as she swam back into the water, protective feelings flowing through her as she thought about the Pokemon that rested behind her. She never met Neon before, but compared to this laughing maniac, she appeared to be a Pokemon worth protecting.

Another Water type. Barboach had a feeling that his Mud Slap would not be so effective on this one. He would have to keep up the Mud Bombs, because Water Gun would be useless against this Totodile. - The Mud Bomb was awfully big and sloppy, and it appeared to be an attack that would be easy too dodge in these aqueous settings. She tucked her head back in the water, slowly swimming lower and lower as the attack collided with the surface. The bits of mud and gloop began to sink to the bottom, but at a much slower rate. She found an easy time dodging the inaccurate attack, especially after seeing it used against Neon.
- 'I don't think I'd like to be hit by a bunch of those. It looks heavy.' She thought as she swam closer to the Barboach, her tail swirling with the surrounding water. Not that she was one that was brain smart about types and things like that, but she felt as if an Aqua Tail would do a good number on the little guy. If the water didn't hurt him, then at least the smack with her tail would bring on the pain.
- "Geez. What is this..." Seamus grumbled as he quickly packed his things into his suitcase, occasionally looking at his watch to see how much time had passed. They were asleep for two hours? How insane! He only wanted to doze off for 30 minutes! Once he had all of his supplies, he hurried up the hill, panting and sweating from the intense exercise. He stood in tired surprise at the scene, too busy panting to ask what the hell was going on.

Barboach was surprised that the Aqua Tail knocked him deep into the pool. He shook his head and panted a bit, this was tiring! He couldn't keep this up much longer, he had to just keep attacking until he couldn't attack no more!
