"The road I walk is paved in gold, To glorify my platinum soul,
I'll buy my way to talk to God, So he can live with what I'm not." The small feeling Pokémon was being carried comfortably in her trainers arms. She waved her little arms about, obviously happy with her surroundings. She stretched, and moved about until she was on Julie's shoulder, gripping her hair rather tightly. The small Pokémon had picked up on her trainers excitement, though her face revealed nothing. With the removal of the Pokémon from her arms, Julie let her arms fall to her sides, her dark red cloak moving in to conceal her in it's warmth. She was traveling by night, hoping to either catch some Pokémon unaware, or catch a dark type out for a nighttime run. The storm from the previous night had vanished, leaving behind a dark blue sky. The moon was full tonight, and set Julie's favorite atmosphere. Nice and creepy, just the way she liked it. She had decided to go without her hat tonight, which was alright. Her thick blond hair was enough to keep her ears warm. Ah yes, it was winter wasn't it? Julie gave Lilith a sideways glance as she began wrapping herself up in Julie's hair. She patted Julie's cheek and grinned at her. Julie rolled her eyes and continued going down the path.

There was a giggly fervor from somewhere in the distance. It was something between a wild purring and a giggle and a squeak, but it was followed by ruffling of the grass for a moment. It stopped soon after, and then started again, with giggling coming from out of no where. The grass ruffled again, stopped, giggling- it happened again and again for a couple of moments, and then a brown and black racoon like Pokémon hopped out from the grass behind Julie, letting forth a big <Boo!>, or to what most humans would hear, "Ziiiiiiiiiiggggggg!" The little racoon stood up on its hind legs, giggling to itself as it stood there, looking perfectly content with staring at the girl. ::Zigzagoon:: Wild Zigzagoon appeared!

"The road I walk is paved in gold, To glorify my platinum soul,
I'll buy my way to talk to God, So he can live with what I'm not." Lilith, of course, knew the small Pokémon was coming. His feelings of mischief and elation were easily recognizable, and she tugged desperately on Julie's hair to let her know of what was going on. Julie, however, did not quite understand, and just gave her Pokémon a weird look. She then pulled out a sheet of paper and began writing on it, holding it up for her Pokémon to read. K, so I have this clicker thing. As you only have growl and confusion at the moment, I'll just click it once. That way, you'll know to use growl. If I click it twice, that's confusion. As you learn more moves, I'll have to increase the clicks. Got it?Lilith read the words, then nodded rapidly, though her growing concern for the zig-zag Pokemon's presence was still in the back of her mind. She looked about before settling deeper into Julie's hair. When the Pokémon finally made its presence known, he almost gave Julie a heart attack. She let out a terrified squeak, whipping around so fast that Lilith had to grasp her hair for dear life. When she saw that it was only a zigzagoon, she relaxed. Well, it wasn't what she'd been hoping for, but nothing in this world ever is. She knelt down and allowed Lilith to slip off of her shoulder. She pulled out her clicker from somewhere inside the abyss that was her cloak, and pressed it once. Lilith brought both of her arms to her face, and let out as cute of a growl that she could muster. Julie smiled, so far, her technique was working out quite well.

The Zigzagoon got down back on all fours. He tilted his head cutely and let out his own cute Growl. He blinked his big eyes and rolled over on his back. He then moved his head to where he was looking at the two up-side-down. Oh, no one could turn this cute fellow away! The big eyes stared at you, then blinked. He then wagged his tail happily like a small Poochyena almost. But then, a small smirk came on his face. What was that? It almost looked evil. Maybe it was all an act, but then again, the look in his eyes could prove that wrong...couldn't it?

"The road I walk is paved in gold, To glorify my platinum soul,
I'll buy my way to talk to God, So he can live with what I'm not." Lilith allowed the growl to do its effects, waiting and listening for her trainers commands. Julie fiddled with the clicker, debating on whether or not she wanted to bother battling the Pokemon. It seemed rather devious to her, which was something she liked, but a mischievous and uncontrollable Pokemon could get her in trouble. And if she bothered to battle it, she might miss something good. Well, it was better to get in the experience. Honestly, a Pokedex had no real meaning to her, it wasn't her goal to gather data on all different kinds of Pokemon. Only the ones she liked. She clicked the clicker in twice in rapid succession, and Lilith responded immediately by letting loose a strong confusion attack. ::ralts:: Lilith used Confusion!

Zigzagoon was keeping up the cuteness. Oh yes. He wanted juuuust the right Trainer, having become bored of his days in La Premiere Route, but not just any Trainer would do. A Psychic haze gathered around him, pink and purple light distorting the air rather beautifully as green dust gathered around the distortion, and Zigzagoon watched in awe, tail wagging curiously as he looked at it. Woooah. If that Trainer could pull a stunt like that, she certainly deserved to become his Trainer. But then... pain? As though something was digging into his body. A hot jarring motion drew a whinny out of him, followed by a squeal as the pain intensified dramatically, drawing a long, anguished cry until the psychic field faded, only golden dust trailing through the air a sign of what had just come to pass. His legs buckled. He dropped to his knees suddenly, one eye closed in pain as he looked up at the Ralts, a pitiful expression in his big, chocolate brown eyes. He was no fighter, but he had that survival instinct. Just like any other wild animal. He could defend himself. He whipped his tail as a distraction with such gusto that he himself did a 360 degree spin in the dirt, raising a cloud of dust, before leaping to his feet, starting a sprint without stopping as he leapt, using the memento of his run to get high, before coming down towards the Ralts, head lowered for maximum damage. ::zigzagoon:: Zigzagoon used Tail Whip and Tackle. "The road I walk is paved in gold, To glorify my platinum soul,
I'll buy my way to talk to God, So he can live with what I'm not." Lilith waved her arms around wildly as the dust entered her little space bubble. Tail Whip successfully lowered her defense while she was distracted. Just as the dust cleared for the tiny Pokemon, she saw the Zigzagoon leap into the air. Now, Lilith being a Ralts, did not have much mobility. Even if she had tried to move, it wouldn't have accomplished much. So, instead, she took like a true pokemon. The pain was more than she'd expected, and she ended up flat on the ground, the wild Pokemon on top of her. Both Lilith and Julie knew that that wasn't a good thing, but Julie didn't want to offend Lilith by stepping in. Probably wouldn't help much anyhow, and only harm her Pokemon. Instead, she clicked once, paused, and then twice. Lilith got the message, and began to growl. Afterwords, she used her psychic powers in an attempt to send the normal type flying with a confusion. ::ralts:: Lilith was hit by Tail Whip! Lilith was hit with Tackle!

The Zigzagoon felt the pain in his body, then suddenly he fell backwards into a tree. The force of the confusion was strong, enough to send him flying backwards. He struggled to his feet and shook his head. He wasn't a fighter, he couldn't think of ways to defend himself. Heck, he barely had a move set. He Growled at the Ralts, blinking his large eyes at it and even titled his head a bit. After all, the move was supposed to lower attack by looking cute. And did he had that part down. But then, the Ralt's won Growl hit his ears, making them bend back with a sad frown.
He then quickly went into a Tackle, his face staying the same cute one from before but he had a small smirk on his face still.

"The road I walk is paved in gold, To glorify my platinum soul,
I'll buy my way to talk to God, So he can live with what I'm not." Well this was getting her no where. Julie frowned, annoyed with how long this was taking. She honestly disliked waiting, and this Zigzagoon was one tough customer. Lilith stood and took some more hits, which greatly displeased Julie, as she could do nothing about it. Lilith was still up and rearing to go however, and Julie had a feeling that if she kept pressing forward, she'd win eventually. Two sharp clicks sounded out again, and Lilith held her arms above her head, focusing all her power into the next attack. She shot the attack forward as she brought her arms down, aiming for the increasingly annoying raccoon Pokémon. ::ralts:: Lilith was hit with Growl! Lilith was hit with confusion! Jingle Jangle Jingle Jangle. The Bells they ring. Jingle Jangle Jingle Jangle. Santa's helpers, presents they bring. Jingle Jangle Jangle Jingle. It's a busy night for Chris Kringle. The air became chilly- as if the winds of change and uncertainty had rolled in. Snow flurried- snow rushed forward, it was a white night- and there were Pokemon all about it; all through it. A swarm of little red and white knights of Kringle rushed forward: to what? Were they were really at the task of delivering presents to all good little Pokemon? They were questions to be left unanswered for now. “Delidelidelibiiiiiiird!” the red and white delivery birds cawed out as they poured over the route; and one did more than that. <To work to work to work, we go we skip we hop!> for those that understood Pokespeech. <Jingle Jangle Jingle Jangle! Its a special night!> they called. Pokemon fighting? A Zigzagoon is desperate struggle with a trainer and their Ralts? That would not do, the penguin mused as it hefted it's delivery sack. Towards the Ralts it hurled tiny boxes wrapped perfectly and with ribbons. ::Delibird:: Used Present on Lilith. Chance landed! The attack heals Ralts moderately! The littleracoon wobbled after being hit again by that attack that pressured upon his mental facilities. Zigzagoon, was seemingly terrified of the Delibird. It remembered all to well what had happened to its father when it had faced a Delibird- his father hadn't meant to steal the Delibird's egg! The littleracoon attempted to run, but the confusion and the snow made him roll into a bush instead.

"The road I walk is paved in gold, To glorify my platinum soul,
I'll buy my way to talk to God, So he can live with what I'm not." Um, what? Blinking in confusion, both Lilith and Julie looked up into the sky. They watched in surprise as the mysterious Pokemon flew towards them. As it withdrew fancily wrapped presents and down they hailed! Julie let out a small cry as Lilith was struck directly, worry enveloping her. They really didn't need a second Pokemon in the middle of this battle. But, much to Julie's surprise, Lilith actually looked...stronger? Did those presents heal her a bit or something? There was no time to continue to ponder it, however, as the Zigzagoon rolled away into a bush. Julie ran up and picked up the slow moving ralts. Lilith clung to her trainer as they chased after the Pokemon, intent on finishing what they started.

Zigzagoon frantically tried to disentangle himself from the shrub as the twigs caught his paw, digging into his flesh like sharp thorns. With much struggling, the little raccoon finally managed to release himself and burst out of the pushes. His slightly ruffled pelt was covered in twigs, leaves, and snow. Zigzagoon gave a vigorous shake to dislodge all of these. Zigzagoon looked around warily, wondering where the Delibird was. Luckily, it seemed to be gone and the little raccoon let out a sigh of relief. However, his relaxation didn't last long as he spotted the Trainer and her Pokemon coming towards him. Zigzagoon let out a growl, hoping to intimidate the both of them so they would leave him alone. Used Growl

"The road I walk is paved in gold, To glorify my platinum soul,
I'll buy my way to talk to God, So he can live with what I'm not." The growl was a good attempt, but the duo would not be deterred. Lilith leaped down, and let out a small growl of her own, determined to make this battle a success. Their first battle, think how what it would say about Lilith if she lost! Against a mere wild Pokemon as well! Two sharp clicks filled the air and Lilith shot off another Confusion, this time using both her hands. She moved them in a circular motion, the purple waves appearing around both of them, forming into two circular beams. It was interesting twist on the move, and Lilith felt proud of herself for coming up with something so unique.

Terror filling him as he saw that his Growl had failed to deter the Ralts' attack he was buffeted by the psychic assault, letting out a whinny of pain as he was pushed back, the sheer heat and power of the attack bringing tears to his eyes. As the attack subsided, leaving him feeling weak, he wagged his Tail cutely at the Ralts, trying to lower its defence in his attempt to regain control of the battle. Or he tried to. The Delibird landed before he could complete the motion, hurling a present at him with a giggle. As the glowing sphere made contact with the Zigzagoon, it exploded, drawing a weak squeak of pain from the little puppy/raccoon. Staggering back, he retreated into the bushes as the Delibird cackled mischievously. It was all in good humour for the Delibird, but this little Zigzagoon was getting weaker by the second. ::zigzagoon:: ::delibird::

"Take my hand, live while you can..." "Don't you see, your dreams lie right in the palm of your, hand..." Well, that was just rude. Julie raised her fist at the bird, a scowl on her face. She'd deal with it later, right now she had to focus on her Pokemon and the weakening Zigzagoon. She was close, she could feel it! Their first battle together would be a success! She grinned, and clicked twice. Lilith let out the waves again, this time adapting to the last time she'd done so. Though she was currently unable to dodge any attacks, she was sure that that would change with time. After all, Julie so far was proving herself quite a capable trainer, despite her unwillingness to talk. She'd have to get over that if they ever entered a double, but they'd deal with that bridge when they crossed it. "And as he spoke, he spoke ordinary words, though they did not feel, For I felt, what I, had not felt before, and you'd swear, those words could heal..."

Wild Zigzagoon appeared! [/center] The Zigzagoon saw the Confusion coming once more, and attempted to get out of the way of the waves of energy, but was just feeling too exhausted to get up and run. The attack hit him--had he moved a few more steps it might have missed him entirely, but he wasn't that lucky, unfortunately; being a bit of a klutz and a butterfingers, he was rather clumsy and found himself tripping over a rock.
He turned around and glared at the Ralts as if the psychic-type had committed some horrible malfeasance, suddenly feeling a burst of energy from up inside of him. And with that one final bit of determination, he ran toward his foe and leaped forward in an attempt to Tackle her. used Tackle. Zigzagoon is very weak!

Lilith fell back as the attack struck her, and she panted heavily. She was getting too weak for this. One more hit and she'd be done for. But, perhaps, she could muster up one more attack. She clicked twice more, and Lilith struggled back to her feet. With a last ditch effort, she fired off another confusion, this time going for a simple ray, to tired to attempt anything else. She collapsed backwards, and Julie scooped from the ground as they looked towards the Zigzagoon. If it continued to struggle to it's feet, Julie would have to switch out with the Bonsly she'd received.

Wild Zigzagoon appeared! The Zigzagoon saw the next Confusion coming, and was aware that the Ralts he was fighting was about as weak as he was, but he just couldn't muster up any more energy to fight. He felt the waves of psychic energy hit him, and then suddenly all of his strength seemed to be gone. His legs buckled beneath him and he fell into unconsciousness, defeated. has fainted! catch it?Lilith gained one level!

"Take my hand, live while you can..." And finally, after what seemed like several grueling hours but only lasted a mere ten or twenty minutes, the battle was over. Julie breathed a sigh of relief, and picked up the very weak little Ralts. Lilith smiled at her trainer as they looked towards the Zigzagoon. It was a tough little battler, and she didn't really want it. Sure, it was cute and all, but she didn't really fancy normal Pokemon. She moved down the path, carrying the weak Pokemon, before she found a nice little clearing. Lilith was not fit to travel, and Julie didn't want to put her in any potential danger, so she decided to stop for a little bit. She set her down and allowed her to curl into a comfortable position on the ground. Julie sat there for god knows how long, talking to Lily all the while. The two girls had a nice little chat inside Julies head as she sat, letting her Pokemon recover. It wasn't long before she woke up, and the two were on the road again, feeling just as refreshed as they did when they started out. "Don't you see, your dreams lie right in the palm of your, hand..."
