"Take my hand, live while you can..." The two moved down the trail in silence, Julie's feet crunching slightly on the recently fallen snow, and Lilith cuddling inside her coat. Julie was content in the cool weather, her coat being a very good protector from the cold, hence the ralts buried inside. It wasn't long before Lilith resurfaced however, and Julie set her down. She fished about inside her bag for something, before revealing a small, yellowish looking disk. After reading the instructions, she slid it into her Pokedex. Lilith let out a surprised squeal, before grinning and taking a body builder's pose. Julie giggled at her little Pokemon, pleased that she was taking well to Thunderbolt. Lilith glanced about, the feelings of the nearby Ekans being picked up by her sensitive powers. The two glanced about, seeking the source. "Don't you see, your dreams lie right in the palm of your, hand..."

Wild Ekans appeared! [/center] The Ekans paused. It seemed that he had been noticed, or at least his presence had. Well, there was little use hiding now that the two had realized he was there. Brazenly, he slithered out from his hiding place and appeared in front of Julie and Lilith. Suddenly enspirited, he spoke up, his voice a harsh hiss.
"You..." he hissed, "Are...not from around here....are you?" His tone was rather ominous...but suddenly it changed to a much more cheery one. "Well hi! Nice to meet you!" For this Ekans was known for being a playful one, always stalking his friends in the woods just for fun, but he never wanted to do any harm or scare people, so he didn't usually chase after those that he didn't know. says hi.

"The road I walk is paved in gold, To glorify my platinum soul,
I'll buy my way to talk to God, So he can live with what I'm not." Of course, all she really heard was 'ekans, ekans, ek, ek, kans' and a couple actual snake like hisses every now and then. She attempted to smile weakly. She wasn't sure if it could read, but she pulled out her little pad anyhow. She felt bad for the poor thing. Must be hard, being a snake in the winter. Are you headed anywhere in particular? I could carry you there, it's really warm inside my coat here...[bah, sorry for the lateness and the crappy response.]

EKANSA GRATIFYING smile appeared on her face. An invite into a nice warm place? Of course the reptile would be silly to pass this chance up! But she wasn't actually heading anywhere.... and then she realized she didn't have to tell the trainer that. She'd never know! Her teeth, PREVALENT, showed as her smile widened. She briskly nodded her head, and without waiting for an invite she leapt foreword to slither into Julie's warm coat, trying to worm her way around her back and up to her shoulder, where she could pop her head out and look around from her new perch.

"Take my hand, live while you can..." Julie bit her lip to keep from shaking as the Ekans slipped up her shoulders. The sensation made her want to squirm, but she stayed solid until the snake was secure on her shoulder. Hoping that she wasn't overstepping boundaries, she reached up and tickled under her chin. Since she couldn't understand her, she just decided to walk until she wanted off. She started off, and shifted Lilith in her arms. Lilith sank back into a comfortable position. She waved her arm at the Ekans, a cheerful smile on her face. Julie started forward, wondering how many Pokemon she'd be carrying before morning came. "Don't you see, your dreams lie right in the palm of your, hand..."

There was a flurry of wings and a brown flash suddenly zipped out of the trees and landed in front of Julie. A Spearow stood there with feathers bristling and eyes glinting with anger as he glared at the Trainer. <Hey you! Why do you have that stinkin' snake in your jacket?>the Spearow screeched angrily. <Why are you protecting that thief? She stole my berry you know? Sooner or later she'll be taking all your food for herself,>the bird warned, clicking her beak in an irritable way. <That bird is lying,>Ekans hissed, cringing back and snuggling deeper into the jacket, hoping to make herself look inconspicuous. Wild spearow appeared

"Made a wrong turn, once or twice..." Apparently, neither of them fully realized that she couldn't understand what they were saying. She shifted the snake in her hands uncomfortably, before turning to Lilith with a desperate plea in her face. Sensing and understanding what the Spearow was saying, Lilith debated on what to do. Surrounding herself with her psychic powers, Lilith lowered herself to the ground and put up her arms in a boxer's pose, making in clear that, yes, they were defending this 'thief'.
Shrugging impartially, Julie backed off a bit and pulled out her clicker. She clicked it twice, and Lilith gathered her power before attempting to strike down or scare off the Spearow with a confusion. Unlike most trainers, who probably didn't want a thief as a Pokemon, Julie honestly wouldn't have cared. Ekans was a Pokemon that would fit her personality and the theme of her team. "Dug my way out, blood and fire..."

EKANS & SPEAROW The angry Spearow didn't want to take her eyes off of that darn Ekans! She fluttered around angrily, continuing to click her beak and ruffle her feathers. Why wasn't this trainer outraged? Why wasn't the Ekans being booted from her warm perch? As she wondered these questions, she was smacked in the side by the psychic energy. A rush of apparently nothing knocked her over and over, sending her tumbling. She cawed angrily, rushing in with her beak exposed, shimmering slightly, in a peck attack against the Ralts.
Meanwhile, Ekans watched the battle- herself safe with Julie. In a moment of strange clarity and determination, she decided what she wanted to do. She wiggled her tail and her body to get Julie's attention, before tapping one of her poke'balls with her tail. <"I want to fight for you! I am no thief and I want to show that Spearow just who she's messing with!"> If it meant joining with Julie and fighting for the trainer in place of the Ralts... she'd do it.

"It's close to midnight, something evil is lurking in the dark..."
Julie was fully prepared to take on the Spearow. It didn't frighten her...not like much did that anyhow. But she had back up, though she didn't really like her Bonsly. She planned to evolve it and either trade it, or sell it. It was a rather rare Pokemon after all. She just wasn't a big rock type kind of person. So, to be honest, she was surprised when the Ekans tapped her Pokeball. While Julie was pre-occupied with this, Lilith took the Peck attack head on.
Assuming that Ekans had bee captured, she withdrew Julie, secreting her away into her Pokeball to keep her out of harms way. Once she had a definite sign that the Ekans was now her's, they'd begin the real battle.

capturedNAME; you decide GENDER; Male LEVEL; oo8 ABILITY; Shed Skin ATTACKS; Wrap, Leer, Poison Sting ready to battle So the ekans wanted to battle the spearow, eh? Psh, piece of cake. The bird Pokémon knew full well she could take the silly little snake pokemon, even if its trainer had fancy contraptions like pokeballs and what not. The spearow shifted its weight from one foot to another, anxious for the battle and getting even with the ekans. "Any day now," She demanded. It was not like she had all the time in the world for this!

"I’ll stand by you, won’t let nobody hurt you..." With the soft ping of the Pokeball, Julie curled her fingers around her new Pokemon. She looked up at the Spearow, and immediately made up her mind to catch it. It would be a challenge to have the two work together, but it would be an awesome test and undertaking for her. She threw the Pokeball into the air, the Ekans unfurling it's self in mid air. The two stood ready, and attentive. Julie didn't have time to explain her clicker method, and just decided to do her best with her words. "A-adder, use L-l-l-leer!"She blushed in embarrassment at her stuttering. Adder however, didn't pay any mind to it, and summoned his meanest glare in an attempt to un-nerve the small bird Pokemon. With the move Wrap, Julie was quite sure that she'd have the advantage in this battle. "I’ll stand by you, take me in into your darkest hour, and I'll never desert you..."

The Spearow froze in place as the slitted eyes intimidated her, causing all her muscles to freeze in place. Suddenly, coils wrapped themselves around the bird's body and she felt pressure squeeze her lungs tightly. Spearow let out a screech of pain, starting to fight for breath as the Ekans tightened his squeeze on her. <Release me theif!>Spearow coughed out, driving her beak into the scaly flesh of the Ekans. "And when, when the night falls on you, baby..." But Adder held on, persisting through the pain of the peck. There was no way that he was letting this foolish Spearow insult his honor! He tightened his grip, continuing his wrap attack. "A-add-er, use P-poison s-s-s-sting!"Adder pulled back his head and fired the needles of poison from his mouth, attempting to hit and possibly even poison his opponent. "You're feelin' all alone, you won't be on your own..."

The Spearow was too enclosed in the Ekans to dodge the poison sting that hit her. Alone the attacks did not do much, but together they were a huge nuisance to her. >Let go of me you imbecile! This is not fair!< She said as she ferociously tried to peck her way off the Ekans... She was constricted once again by the snake which hurt her more than the poison stings had... But overall neither attacks really left much of a mark on the Spearow. It was just annoying to be stuck like that. She continued to attempt to peck her way to freedom while snapping at the Ekans at the same time... ::Spearow:: (-1 attack) Hit by Poison Sting. Wrapped again... Used Peck on Ekans

"She's paints her finger's with a close precision, He starts to notice empty bottles of gin, And takes a moment to assess the sins she's paid for..."
Tightening it's grip briefly around the Spearow, Adder could feel it beginning to loosen. It wouldn't be long before the bird Pokemon was released. Julie seemed to take notice of this, and moved into action.
"Add-adder, use L-leer, then p-po-po-poison s-sting!"
The snake like Pokemon coiled it's dead around to glare into the Spearow's eyes in an attempt to lower it's defense. Then, without warning, it opened it's mouth and released a volley of needles, coated in poison. It would be extremely hard to dodge, and Julie had no doubt that it would hit. But fate could be very cruel at times.

The Spearow froze as she saw the slitted eyes glare mailiciously into her own. She cringed back slightly before feeling the stingers pierce her flesh. The bird screeched in pain as the needles penetrated her skin and feeling the poisonous liquid rush into her vein, causing fiery pain to inflame throughout her body. As the pain finally slowly began to ebb away, the Spearow resumed her struggle to release herself from the snake's coils. She aimed her beak at the scaly skin again.

"She's paints her finger's with a close precision, He starts to notice empty bottles of gin, And takes a moment to assess the sins she's paid for..."
Adder released the bird Pokemon as the move wrap drew to a close. He hissed from his position on the ground as the annoying sting of Spearow's peck struck his scaly skin. He danced in a taunting way, much like a cobra as he kept his eye on the feathery assailant.
"A-a-adder, use L-l-l-leer, a-a-and P-p-poison s-sting!"

Spearow was relieved as the coils began to loosen and wasted no time taking flight into the air, glad to be free to move and not having scaly skin slowly suffocate her. The bird told herself not to get trapped by the snake or she'd have not chance of escaping agian. As the bird realized that the Ekan's eyes were directed towards her, she quickly shut her eyes. <Hah! Can't scare me if I can't see you!>the Spearow screeched proudly, thinking herself smart until she realized it had been a big mistake. The bird let out a screech of pain as the stingers dug into her flesh, inflaming her veins with its poison.
<Grr! Take this!>Spearow cawed, enraged that she had been so careless. The bird swooped down at the Ekans with deadly speed, aiming to gourge her beak into his scaly skin.

::spearow:: The Spearow flapped her wings, trying to get enough lift off to dodge the wrap attack by the fierce snake. However she was not able to get high enough off of the ground to prevent the attack from hitting. Adder's scaly body wrapped first around her leg, and when she suddenly found that she couldn't gain anymore altitude and was being pulled down to the ground. Her wings were wrapped to her body and she began to struggle fiercely against the pressure, pushing the breath from her body and squeezing her flesh. She growled fiercely, spitting insults at the snake. <"My egg shell squeezed me harder than this!"> And as she tried to break out, she aimed to drive her beak down and strike the Ekans' purple body with a peck attack to really drive her point home.
hit with wrap, damage taken from wrap used growl & peck
