<Mouth? That's my shell, you lug.> The Pineco replied with an annoyed grunt, slowly twirling away from the Elekid with a heated stare. The static rolled onto his body, causing a bit of surprise as he shifted his shell open and closed in order to shake it off, but it was too late. It infiltrated his body, and had him much slower than before. Something was going on with Yamato, even before that Leer and Ice Punch, and Susumu knew it. He flipped open his Pokedex to learn about the annoying Static ability, finding that very, very, bad. It was ok in the aspect that his mini tank was slow already, but not being able to attack when needed was not the best of plans. Note to self, buy Yamato a Lum Berry or something later. "Repeat your attacks-- go for it!" He could only cheer on his Pineco, hoping he could last a few more turns before using their destructive move for the finale. The Pineco struggled to move, shaking as his body tried to force that silvery color back onto his body. Then, rolling towards the Elekid, clamped his shell shut near the electric type once more.

This time Elekid saw the bug coming and he moved out of the side before it tried to bite him. He then slid on the ground and went straight at the Pineco. It was heavy, and very slow... So this attack would do more damage as it would take him down and push him to the ground... Making him fall on his butt if it hit.
Elekid slid right at the Pineco once more so that it can get on top of him and pound him with a critical hit if the Pineco falls on his back. He knew that Pineco would try to end it with a very impressive finale. His hope was to end the battle before Pineco was able to do this. He really hoped that Pineco would be beaten up before it can explode, because it will not be fun to be blown to bits...

The Low Kick swept under the Pineco, but it wasn't enough to make him roll over on his back. Instead, Yamato was rolled in a semi-circle, before straightening back up with a wince in his eyes. The move hadn't harmed him all that much, especially due to his light yet sturdy body. The problem here was that his opponent was much too fast for his tastes-- so fast, that it stunned him into being immobile. His shell locked on him, against his will, preventing the use of any attacks. "Great." Susumu muttered under his breath, something he was sure that only he could hear. Now he had to figure out how long his Pineco would last until they could actually make an attacking move. Would it be 1 turn? The Pokedex said that it could only not attack a quarter of the time, and this time, they simply weren't so lucky.

Elekid was not happy that the Pineco did not fall on it's back like he expected. But he was not going to let it get in his way... Especially when the Pineco was shocked and unable to attack this round. Elekid took this to his advantage, and with his speed, he quickly ran right at the Pineco and decided to go on the offense. He jumped up in the air and gave a sharp stare right into Pineco's eyes before his claw turned blue and he attempted to punch the living bajingo out of Pineco...
He began to gear his fist right at Pineco one more time while it was blue. He was going for a finishing type blow here... He geared up and swung his fist with all of his might right at the Pineco hoping to knock the lights out of this pokemon. It was strong, it was steady, and it had amazing defense to back it up... But Elekid knew he was faster, and much stronger so he had faith in his power to win... But the Pineco not falling on his back was a big set back for the Elekid. He had expected the bug to drop like a fly and be extremely vulnerable to whatever attack he threw it's way... But that did not happen. Now he had to become even more worried about the potential of Pineco blowing up... Because that became ever more likely with it not sustaining enough damage for Elekid to end it quickly, but still potentialy sustaining enough where it would have no hope to win but to create a dynamic masterpiece conclusion...

<Oof.> The Pineco glared at the Elekid as his defense was lowered to a neutral state. The shiny silver coloring from his Harden was shaken away to nothing, leaving him as exposed as a shall could be to that approaching Ice Punch. No amount of evasiveness would've allowed him to escape that blow, and so he took it. Hard. It shocked him to the core, nearly freezing him if the paralysis hadn't kept his body warm. "Harden and Bug Bite." Susumu's eyes narrowed in concentration. This was it, the Elekid was just about weak enough to be taken down. What would happen? Would Yamato's defenses wear off? Luckily the paralysis didn't stop him from moving, and a light silver shine covered his body. Looking determined, the Pineco huffed as he rolled towards the Elekid. He was going to bite this electric thingie if it was the last thing he did! Yamato would've added a snide remark if he wasn't so tired from the status condition slowing him down. It didn't do any damage, but boy did it make things difficult.

Elekid was bitten badly by the Pineco as he was started to scream in pain from the bite that was induced on his shoulder. It rendered his arm to be useless for this turn as he could not manifest a punch from it, but because the Pineco was connected to him he had other means of furthering the damage caused on the Pineco.
Elekid began to charge up electricity, and released everything bit of electricity he had in his body in a weak electric attack. But since the Pineco was connected to him, he expected the Pineco to be fried to a pulp from the attack. Blitz did not think this was the best strategy yet... He felt that using quick attack and getting away from the Pineco would have been smarter. It did have a nice firework ending it could use at any time... And being stuck near it did not help the Elekid escape that ending by any means...
The Elekid wasn't thinking straight as he was pissed and just wanted to teach Pineco a lesson... He would probably end up regretting this later on though...

The Thundershock was completely and utterly unavoidable, and the Pineco found himself weakened, especially due to that last painful Ice Punch that jabbed him in the side. He yelped in response to the electricity, feeling the Static ability kicking up again. He had to push it away, knowing that he couldn't freeze up again this turn like the last time. He might be slow, but he could still defend himself! Susumu could see it in his Pokemon's expression-- the bug was tired. There was no way he could endure another attack in his condition.
"Self-Destruct." He ordered, eyes narrowing at the command. Here it was, his strongest move, ready to end this round of the battle with a 'bang'. Yamato's eyes lit up at the sound of the attack, and with a glowing body, he hastened up with the explosive chemicals hidden away within him. He glew a vivid yellow and white until he finally blew up, making Susumu stumble backwards from the effect of the attack.
Dust was kicked up and swirled around the fainted Pineco, revealing the double edged sword that move really was. The trainer did regret it, but knew that he played the right card at that time. If not...well, he had other cards. The Pineco clearly fainted from the attack, so Susumu had no choice but to return it. As for which Pokemon to use next, he only had to consider what Blitz used. A grass and a bug type. His Vulpix seemed like an obvious choice, but he had a trap set up with another one of his Pokemon. So instead, he tossed out his Geodude.

Elekid tried so hard to dodge the attack by running away with it. He even tried to increase his speed with a quick attack to escape. But all in all, the damage was too great and he just simply could not run away. He was hit full on by the blast and when the smoke cleared he was left fainted on the floor also, in addition to Pineco. Blitz sighed at the sight of his pokemon fainting. But he was also glad because this could be a good moment in Elekid's career, his first ever defeat, so he would know he isn't invincible and thus could always get stronger and better...
::Elekid:: Fainted. Pineco gets +2 levels, Elekid gets +1 level (I assume since I didn't make you faint).
Blitz then tossed out his other pokeball when the Geodude came out, and from it came his Tangela. It had been bruised, and injured from the previous battle... But this one did look good in his favor. He saw the Geodude as a pokemon he could definitely get some energy from to revive all the damages caused to the Tangela. His Tangela quickly shot a beam of red energy at the Geodude in an attempt to suck it's energy clean. It wanted to end this fight quick and easily, and using a super effective move like Absorb is a good start. He also began to roll around after the red beam was shot, and began to spray powders in the air in an attempt to make Geodude fall asleep. He didn't see Geodude having any move that could push the powder back on him, and cause him to sleep... So he thought he would and should be safe.

Ok, so there were two attacks in one turn. They could handle this one at a time, he supposed. With narrowed eyes, Susumu watched helplessly as the Absorb struck his Geodude hard with that x4 weakness to grass. It was going to hurt, and it was going to heal that beast of a Tangela, but if they knocked it out with raw power first, they would've been ok. Or so he hoped. Ken grunted, slamming his fist into the ground in anger as the attack came out of nowhere. That was dirty, wasn't it?
"Rock Polish and Fire Blast through that Sleep Powder. Catch the Tangela too, if you can." He smirked, wondering if the grass type would be able to endure such a powerful attack with that extra health boost? If not, well, he had to admit that he was in trouble.
The Geodude started spinning rapidly as the loose spores hovered threateningly in the air. They approached him right as he snapped into an attacking position. He was ready to fight now, with a glossy sheen to boot. Opening his mouth, a power fire in the shape of a Japanese character flowed through. Whether it took out the spores, or hit the Tangela was something to be decided by fate.

Tangela's eyes widened as he saw an immensely powerful fire attack come his way. It burned off all of the spores and came directly at the Tangela who could not react fast enough to dodge it at the moment. It hit him and it stung like crazy. It lit up his roots and caused him to feel a very high burning sensation. It was weakened by it's contact with the sleep powder, but it was still very effective against this grass pokemon and it caused him a great deal of pain and grief.
Tangela screamed in pain after the attack. And annoyed by the Geodude, he decided to make the Geodude feel how he felt by absorbing some energy from the Geodude to repair his wounds. Blitz had quickly ordered his Tangela to use the same method again. <"Absorb, Sleep Powder"> Blitz said, very nonchalantly. Tangela began to charge up and began to glow, then he dropped to the floor and began to roll near the Geodude again. He was sending the red beam at the direction of the Geodude and also sent little powders in the air at the direction of the Geodude. The powder was above the beam, but both would hit at around the same time if they connected.
Tangela had been badly affected by the Fire Blast attack, but he hoped to regain all his health by taking the Geodude's.

Seeing the Fire Blast hit its target was a good feeling indeed, but as soon as another Sleep Powder was sent their way he knew that keeping Ken in any longer was just silly. They should've went with Stealth Rock earlier, but for now, this was their best bet if they wanted to win. He had both Pokeballs gripped in his hand as the Geodude was hit by the weak grass move, that happened to be extremely effective against him. Ken grimaced as his health was stolen, but thought he could battle. That is, until the sleeping spores landed on his body. Breathing it in, the Geodude found himself...sleepy. Yawning, he curled up into a ball and started snoring.
"Alright, Ken. Take a break. Jenna, come back out." He called, returning the Geodude back into his sphere before any more attacks could strike him. Too many Absorbs would've gotten him for sure. Now, in his place, was the injured looking Bidoof that growled as soon as she was sent out.
<You again? Man, my team mates must suck.> She made a disgusted face at the Tangela, wondering if even she would stand a chance against a Pokemon that constantly tried to put her asleep.

Tangela was happy to be rid of the Geodude. On one hand it gave her a lot of health, which she liked, and she had all her wounds replenished from the last absorb. But, on the other hand, it knew such a devastating attack that she was fearful of doing any further battle with it... What came in her place was a Bidoof, a pokemon that Tangela had been very accustomed to battling already, and, to some extent... Even had an upper hand against so far.
Blitz quickly nodded at his Tangela, who nodded back at him. <"Tangela, Sleep Powder. Then absorb.">
They were changing up the gameplan. Tangela first began to roll towards the Bidoof and released little powders in the air in an attempt to draw it to sleep... Then he began to shoot out a beam of energy at the pokemon in an attempt to draw some energy from it. The powders were in the air and falling near the Bidoof, while the absorb was being stored and shot right at the Bidoof after the powder would fall. Tangela continued to roll at the same direction of his attacks, which was good because it did make the attacks have to travel a further distance. But it was also very bad, as it did make it so he became a target if the opponent get's through the attacks...

'Man, tough cookie.' Susumu winced when the Sleep Powder and the Absorb came towards the Bidoof. Honestly, he was worried about the move. It wasn't accurate, but he wasn't sure how long he could make them dodge without exhausting themselves. The Sleep Powder struck Jenna first, making her go to sleep right until the Absorb came her way. Now THAT snapped her awake! A little dazed, but angry, she hissed spitefully at the Tangela. That was it, it was going down.
She felt a bit weaker now, even if this Tangela was at a lower level, and if its attacks were weak. It annoyed her. Showing off her pearly fangs, she instantly started with a Hidden Power without a command. Not that Susumu minded--he was going to order that attack anyways. He was just thankful that she woke up so fast, knowing that it didn't happen very often.
"Keep it up." He could at least encourage her, right? The Hidden Power became more intense, and as her eyes sparkled with vengeance she knew that she had to take this thing down somehow. She shot the beams at the Tangela, hoping she had luck permanently on her side.

The Hidden Power hit the Tangela and sent him rolling back. He wasn't dangerously hurt but he was injured a bit from the attack. Blitz did not want to risk his Tangela at the moment and decided to recall him. He threw out his Pineco instead, hoping to defeat the Bidoof the some way that the Pineco defeated his own Elekid. It would be a risky strategy with the boost of defense the Bidoof had... But he hoped that his Pineco could just last a few more turns... His Pineco was summoned as a replacement for the Tangela. It was already tired from the previous battle but it had enough energy for a few more hits. It was tired, and exhausted, but it wasn't out of commission just yet... But it was getting a little desperate. [Hurt but not yet injured] Hit by Hidden Power. Recalled. [Weakened prior to battle] Summoned to battle. [OOC: Sorry. So now that the Hidden Power hit, Jenna and Susumu actually thought they had a chance of winning the battle. Sure, sleep powder was annoying, but they could deal with it. It only lasted 1 to 3 turns anyways, so there were worse things they could deal with. But a complete shocker was when Blitz returned his Tangela for his Pineco, and he had a gut feeling about some explosives up in this here house.
"Jenna, leave it to Ken." He grunted, returning the Bidoof upon sight of the Pineco's innocent eyes. Innocent his butt, that thing was a hopping stick of living dynamite. Plus, if it chose to Protect that turn...even better.
He tossed out the sleeping Geodude's Pokeball, knowing that it gave him a bit of an extra turn to wake him up. Upon getting onto the field, the Geodude was comfortable snoozing on his head, nearly making a half attempt at a hand stand while doing so.

Blitz was discouraged when Shamu took out his Bidoof and instead used Geodude. But luckily for his pokemon, Geodude was asleep and this gave his Pineco a few turns to attack the already weakened Geodude that had to deal with a super powerful absorb. He muttered "Tackle" under his breath and Pineco quickly rolled around to hit Geodude and collide with the Pokémon. It was the best Pineco could do right now, Geodude had a very strong defense but this was the only option that Pineco had. He hoped the attack landed and the Geodude would still be asleep for a few more turns after... (Weakened) Used Tackle on Geodude. [OOC: BTW your Bidoof still has the +6 defense from defense curl. Well, that sucked. The Tackle struck against the Geodude's hard body, but it didn't wake him up in the slightest. The Absorb had done a number on his Pokemon, but thankfully, it had been only two Absorbs. Ken must've been at a higher level for him to be looking so peaceful, even now. All he could really do was wait and see when Ken would wake up, because it would have to be either now, or the next turn.
Raising his arms up into the air, he stretched out his back, only to try and crack it. Felt good after standing still for so long. Maybe after this, he could get an ice cold soda. He could imagine the sweet taste already, making him crave it even more. He tried to imagine what he had going for him in this battle: Stealth Rock, level advantage, and Fire Blast.
Even then, losing would not be too terrible. Yamato totally did his part well in the fight, and all and all, levels were what mattered. The problem was that Tangela with Sleep Powder-- he had no idea how to counter it. Actually, it was impossible to counter it. Unless it missed somehow. The chances of that seemed low, though.

[OOC: Geodude has been hit by two absorbs, not one. Fireblast interfered with Sleep Powder, not absorb] Blitz did not like where this part of the battle was going... The Geodude could wake up at any minute now and one fire blast and his pokemon was done for. He had to take a chance and hoped to knock the Geodude out before it could knock out his own Pineco. He quickly gestured for his Pineco to do something explosive. Hopefully it would take out the Geodude, if not it would make him weak enough for Tangela to take out once and for all... He nodded at Pineco and quickly said: <"Self Destruct."> While Pineco was right next to Geodude, he began to detonate himself and was ready to make a splashtastic show... One that would be remembered for ages... He geared himself to blow up and wipe both pokemon clean, or at least that was the plan... Interesting, one battle and two self destructs... ::Pineco:: Used Self Destruct

The explosion was predictable enough, and even Susumu was questioning whether a rock type could take the weaker of the two explosion moves. Yet a miracle happened, and he woke up in the middle of the attack and managed to endure it to the best of his abilities. He had quite a few hit points left over, but nothing to brag about when it came to the Pineco.
Ken wasn't going to last very long though when it came to those Absorbs and Sleep Powders, but anything else? Maybe. He had to wait and see what he was up against, since his opponent had obviously fainted. "Ken, Stealth Rock." Well, they couldn't be idle on this turn, could they? The Geodude nodded tiredly as he slammed his two fists into the ground, leaving a trap for the next Pokemon to enter the battlefield.
"Keep your cool, Ken. Just keep your cool." Most likely that Tangela was going to attack as soon as it was sent out, which wasn't good on their part. Jenna most likely couldn't take it out, and Ken would be down with one of those Absorbs. It was not a win-win situation, here. Still, they gained levels for losing, he supposed.

::Pineco:: Fainted. +1 level
Blitz was very disappointed when the attack he laid down on the Geodude did not end up making the rock pokemon faint. But it did weaken the Geodude which excited him as he now was down to one pokemon against this trainer's one pokemon also...
Blitz threw out his last pokemon and it was the Tangela who had been hurt from the previous attacks... When it came out, an unusual thing happened. Suddenly a pile of rocks from above him came down and hit him right in the head. It didn't do a lot of damage being that he had a type advantage, but it did weaken the poor little Tangela. But Blitz wasn't too worried yet, he still had a very awesome move which could end up giving his Tangela all of it's health back... If not most of it.
Tangela was hurt by the attack but managed to stay strong and sent a beam of light at the direction of the Geodude. He attempted to steal some of the Geodude's health now and wished to even out this battle to one pokemon a piece... Geodude was strong, but he had the clear type advantage which worked to his favor...
