"I'll take a three on three match." Susumu nodded towards the friendly receptionist up front, who swiftly tossed him the key into the battle room. All he wanted was a slightly more challenging trainer battle, no matter how strong they were. Levels were levels, and by now, he knew how to take a beating. Striding through the halls filled with practice arena, the sounds of battles echoed in the background with a wild cry. Soon, he was about to join them in these battles. Clicking open the door with his entry key, he sighed as he lounged around near the bench, knowing that it might be a while until a willing trainer came his way. Which was fine. He had the spare time. [OOC: I have 3 but Bitz does not know about the promo... I'll RP Elekid coming out to battle]
Blitz suddenly walked up to Shamu seeing that he wanted a battle and he agreed to it. He only had two pokemon with him, his starter Tangela and the pokemon he had recently bought in Pineco. He was looking to train his Tangela some more and definitely looking to try out his Pineco as he wanted to see how strong it was and how strong it could be. He was excited to have gotten his second pokemon, although it still was not one he captured and he looked forward to leveling it up in this battle...
He threw down his pokeball which released a Pineco, it was ready to battle. Blitz was a man of no introductions... As he did not like introducing himself to others, especially when most of the times they'd only judge him.

As the calm and collected teenager walked into the room, Susumu felt a funny chill wave right through his body. The way Blitz looked; it reminded him of Zane in a way. They both seemed to think that being quiet and having super dark hair made them the coolest people in the world, though it didn't particularly annoy him, since it was really more boring than anything. "I see you're game. Welcome." He grinned, having a playful smirk on his face as he stared down his opponent's choice of Pokemon. A Pineco, which was a very good choice. He had one of his own, and actually considered having the two go up against each other. He knew too much about his own Pokemon to decide to do that; just thinking about all of the wrong Protects and Self-destructs sounded like a head ache. Jenna would've been a good choice though, in case it did decide to Harden spam him. He would know, since he had used that strategy before. Ken also would've been a good choice, due to Stealth Rock and Fire Blast, but Jenna needed the training more, regardless of whether she won or lost. "Alright, here we go." He bit his lip on purpose so he wouldn't blab anything stupid, taking Jenna's Pokeball and tossing it into the air, he cried out "Jenna, Defense Curl and Hidden Power." The Bidoof that soon appeared had a dazed expression as her eyes glanced at a pretty dull looking Pineco in front of her. She was fighting Yama...? No, wait. It wasn't him. Her eyes narrowed as she braced herself for any random, unpredictable attack before curling up. Having used this strategy once, she knew what was asked of her. Her defense rising was signaled by a glossy sheen on her oily fur, giving her a bit of an advantage this early on in the fight. Then dancing orbs of light flickered around her body, in this curled up position. They gathered with intensity before being flushed out right at the Pineco. { Jenna } Level: 12 Simple Activates(Defense +2) Uses Hidden Power [Dark] (It would do normal damage to a bug type.)

[OOC:] Honestly I do not know how Hidden Power works so you will have to explain it to me. Cause it says the intensity also varies so how intense will yours be? That I don't have any clue... But anyways.
[BIC]: Pineco came out of the pokeball and he looked around continuously. He did not see the girl that was his former trainer. He looked around to see what had happened, not knowing that he had recently been sold off for a trade. While he looked around for his trainer he was oblivious to the light orbs that were shot directly at him. Pineco had no time to react and was instantly hit by the orbs and pushed back. He started to shiver, and shake, and even get into a fetal position.
"Why is this happening to me? Why is this happening to me?" The Pineco said to himself while he was getting hit by the hidden power attack. He started to roll uncontrollably in a fetal position backward until he stopped right below a person's foot.
That person was Blitz, his new trainer although he did not realize it yet. Blitz patted him on the head and attempted to give him a kind smile, while saying <"Everything will be okay.">. He had gotten better at faking his expression and tone lately so it actually sounded sincere. But it did have a nice affect on the Pineco who suddenly felt calm, relaxed, and at home with this new trainer.
Blitz then told his pokemon to use Tackle... Pineco was known as one of the slowest pokemon ever so he simply could not run at the Bidoof to tackle him as that would take too long. So while he was already on the floor he began to roll towards the pokemon in an attempt to tackle him.
The rolling made him faster, but also made him more vulnerable to attacks...

ooc: I've always assumed Hidden Power to be something average, like base 60 power. It's an average attack. Not incredible like Thunderbolt, but not like Mud Slap. <Ow.> Jenna grunted as the physical strike collided into her curled up body, but luckily her high defenses kept her strong. Eyes opening as she uncurled herself to get a good look at her opponent, she felt a simple type of rage build up within her. Competitive fury to prove herself better than this bug was all she needed to kick some shell behind! "...your Pineco doesn't seem very trained." Susumu commented, more used to Yamato's confident battling style and his own Pineco's eagerness to listen. "Then again, this one right here has a one-track mind." He added after watching Jenna go head first into another Tackle. Hidden Power would've been better, seeing that it was a special attack, but they would get by somehow. The Pineco, at the very least, wouldn't bother with raising its defenses. <Get ready, squirt. I'm about to play naughty.> The Bidoof sneered, paws getting a good grip on the dirt covered floors. Her large, upper fang hung loose, as if she was planning to bite her opponent. It always remained a threat, but it wasn't quite hard and strong enough to be used as an attack. { Jenna } Level: 12 Simple + Unaware (Defense +2) Hit by Tackle Uses Tackle

The Pineco had rolled and hit the Bidoof, not as much damage as he had hoped but at least his attack was successful. It wasn't a pokemon with much training so he was happy and jittery after hitting the Bidoof. Blitz just smiled slightly to himself seeing how happy this pokemon got after just getting one hit in. Then the Bidoof crashed back into the Pineco and attempted to bite him. Luckily for them, Pineco had a very strong defense against physical attacks... Almost as if he himself was a human tank. He crashed into the Bidoof who bit him but it clearly did not hurt as much as the Hidden Power did.
He was close range with the Bidoof so he decided to give the Bidoof a taste of his own medicine and attempted to run right into the Bidoof himself. He was going to tackle this same pokemon that had successfully tackled and bit him. Pineco was very slow, but he was a human tank and thus this close battle environment heavily favored him. He did not have to move far, and he could definitely take physical attacks. He charged at the Bidoof... Blitz was still smiling to himself while this was going on, wondering what he got himself into when he bought this pokemon...

'Alright, enough fun and games. Time to bulk up before that thing explodes.' His eyes narrowed after Jenna was struck by another Tackle, though dulled from her previous Defense Curl, it still hurt and fueled her anger. She had to annihilate all that opposed her in battle, after all! Conquering was the only way for her to achieve true power, even if it meant putting up with her softie of a trainer for a while. She was about to burst in with another Tackle, but she was stopped by a loud, worried call. "Defense Curl. Now." Susumu hissed, annoyed that she hesitated in stopping. She flinched for a second, before deciding to trust his judgment. She curled up, boosting her already high defense to something mighty. One more defense curl from her, and it wouldn't be able to go up any farther. "Hidden Power." He ordered, but not as harshly. He did seem to notice the increase in Hidden Power compared to Tackle, at least in this battle. Figuring out what type this move was was a real pain though. '...No way. I'm independent and strong. That Tackle was fine earlier, why not use it again?' She thought angrily, going for a much faster Tackle than that slow motioned 'Hidden Power' crap. Susumu could only sigh, but it wouldn't be that big of a deal in the long run, right? { Jenna } Level: 12 Simple + Unaware (Defense +4) Hit by Tackle Uses Defense Curl + Tackle

When Pineco was able to connect with his tackle he felt very elated, although it barely did much damage because the pokemon he was going against had a very strong defense... Then he was suddenly hit by the tackle as they were too close for him to dodge. This sent the Pineco back rolling further away. Blitz did not like where this was going as the Bidoof had incredible physical defense and Pineco just did not have enough power to physically defeat this pokemon.
Blitz quickly took out his pokeball and recalled Pineco who had been rolling backward, not from the force of the attack but being a naive pokemon he forgot he was in a battle and actually had fun rolling back... He kept going "Wheeeeeeee" While he rolled back.
Suddenly a red light hit the Pineco and he was put back into his pokeball. And Blitz quickly took out another pokeball and out came his Tangela who was more than ready to get on with this fight.
The Tangela began to charge up energy within itself and started to glow bright green. The glow did not shoot at the Bidoof yet, but he was charging up for a potential attack soon enough...

Susumu couldn't help but snicker at the Bidoof's immaturity, though he was one to talk. Jenna would have to get some good mental training sooner or later, but he still wasn't sure how to go about it without being mean. Though for the TD thing, maybe being mean was for the best. Both trainer and Pokemon paused in curiosity as the Pineco was returned, wondering exactly what this meant. Then another Pokemon was sent out. Something weird and green. He flipped open his Pokedex to get an idea of its type and name, and tried to figure something out. On the bright side, Jenna wasn't a water type. Yet. But weren't grass types known for being dangerous? It made him uneasy, since his own grass type didn't seem that unusual or dangerous at all. Save for Seed Bomb. "Alright. Use our usual combo. Defense Curl and Hidden Power." He liked how it looked, he really did. It reminded him of an atom in his old science classes. As the Bidoof curled up, like the nucleus, the bright light of the Hidden Power danced around her body in elliptical patterns. It could've been used in a contest, if he had any talent at it. Suddenly, all of the bright lights shot out at the Tangela, aiming to strike their opponent with haste. { Jenna } Level: 12 Simple + Unaware (Defense +6) Defense Curl + Hidden Power [Dark] on Tangela

The bright light hidden power suddenly turned dark as it was shot right at the Tangela who in return released a red beam towards the Bidoof. Some of the dark energy aimed at the Tangela collided with some of the absorb to lessen the blow of both attacks, but Tangela could not dodge the others that hit him. He began to try and run away from the attack but his short stubby legs were too slow to avoid the remnants of the hidden power.
Tangela got up, dusted himself off, and began to roll at the little beaver pokemon while releasing tiny spores in the air. Since they were far from each other, the Tangela had to travel a very long distance in order to get the spores to hit the Bidoof... And thus a lot of the spores just ended up getting lost in the air while he traveled. And while he was rolling his mind began to drift off as he started to imagine being outside and playing in the sunlight. The sunlight would have made his vines grow larger and would have also made him faster. But most of all, it would just felt nice to be in the sun. He kept thinking about this while he rolled towards the Bidoof, releasing little spore particles above him...

Some of the red beams of light broke through the onslaught of her Hidden Power, and in Jenna's Defense Curl position, she was hit. It stung, but not enough to cause her enough pain to worry her. She grunted, miffed that she was up against such a weak opponent. Why couldn't she face better fighters, like that Stunky? Boy, did she want to beat the stuffing out of that snide, purple wearer. She uncurled herself, growling at her new opponent. The smallest hint of green spores covered her, and she looked at them in angry confusion. "W-wait! Don't breathe that in!" But it was too late. Jenna was curled up on the floor, in a half asleep state. She wouldn't be able to attack like this, but at the same time, it looked like she wouldn't be asleep for long. Possibly due to the Sleep Powder being used at a far range, but Susumu didn't feel like thinking through the mechanics. <Zzzz...> Yes, Jenna let out a little snore, proof that she wasn't able to make a move. Susumu couldn't help but feel annoyed that the trainer switched out on him to this Tangela. Should he switch out? No, he figured. He had nothing to counter Sleep Powder. It was best to sacrifice Jenna a little. { Jenna } Level: 12 Simple + Unaware (Defense +6) Hit by Weakened Absorb Asleep

Blitz continued to look on as his Tangela was able to put the pokemon to sleep. And even get a little of his health back from the weakened absorb. It wasn't much but it did make up a fifth of what he had lost... The Tangela began to glow again and, in it's close range now, shot out another absorb at the Bidoof who had now been asleep. Tangela laughed a little, it was such a weak attack but given his build and his characteristic, he accepted it. He was built like grass himself, so using a grass move was just too common for him.
He wasn't too strong physically but because he was so comfortable using grass moves, they were stronger than other grass pokemon. Blitz had also found this out when he looked at the pokedex of a Tangela. It wasn't that strong physically but it had a much stronger special attack that most grass pokemon. It might only know absorb now, but an absorb for Tangela could be similar to a vine whip for another pokemon. At least that was Blitz's thinking behind it.
He looked on as the Bidoof was asleep and saw his pokemon attack the beaver. He wasn't the type who felt bad or sorry for attacking a poor defenseless pokemon. It was all part of the general scheme of things and he did not mess with the general plan...

"...Great." Susumu grunted, annoyed that Jenna was sleeping soundly through the Absorb attack. It wasn't the strongest attacks out there, but the fact that the Tangela could heal itself while she remained idle was annoying. Really annoying. That was why he was training her, he supposed, to figure out what kind of a battle strategy they could work with. Her move pool was sadly limited, and against certain opponents, they were simply stuck. 'She'll wake up soon though. Sleep only lasts a couple of turns anyways, right?' He thought, trying to recall what he read about it in his Pokedex. Too lazy to actually flip it open, though his eyes were certainly concentrated on the sleeping beaver. The second she woke up, he was going to have to issue a command. Did he want to switch her out though? Not really, he admitted. It meant less levels for Jenna. He wasn't sure if she could take out both of his Pokemon without a single healing move on her, but one of them, at least, was going to lose a lot of health. { Jenna } Level: 12 Simple + Unaware (Defense +6) Hit by Absorb Asleep

While the Bidoof was still asleep, Tangela's red beam hit it and it went back to the viney Pokémon and healed some of the wounds he had sustained prior to the battle. Enough to make him look physically new again. And as a thank you for allowing himself to be healed, Tangela began to shoot another set of red beams right at the Bidoof who was sound asleep. The first one was so effective, so why not try again? Anyways the Bidoof was wrapped up so well in it's defensive curl that his physical attacks would not do much to the Pokémon anyways, this was Tangela's best strategy. He had to use his natural ability against it as constricting it would not do anything as he could not squeeze something as hard as Bidoof... Especially after all of it's defense curls. Tangela just hoped that it could get enough out of the Bidoof while it is asleep... It was the best thing he could do anyways. (95% health) Used Absorb on Bidoof

<Huh...?> Jenna was in a daze when the Absorb came spiraling towards her, but once it struck her on her front leg she yowled with pain. It was like someone jabbed a small needle into her body, and was stealing her energy. It wasn't doing too much damage, but during her turns asleep, they added up. She was still strong enough to make quite a few good moves, and with a warning Growl towards the Grass type, she readied her next move. "Go for Hidden Power." Susumu was on it, the second she woke up, she had to hurry and make her move. With a determined nod, the Bidoof stood up and started running near the Tangela. Wild lights danced around her body, gathering in power before launching themselves at the grass type. <You'll regret that.> Was the only thing she could manage to say, watching with an intense hope as they spiraled towards her opponent. Even Susumu was curious about how much damage it would do, seeing that the previous time, it was weakened. { Jenna } Level: 12 Simple + Unaware (Defense +6) Hit by Absorb ooc: I think you might be giving your Tangela too much health. xD Absorb is a really low powered move, and it doesn't give a lot of health back. [OOC: You are right. I forgot it was only half. I decided on 3% then. It does 6% damage and you only get half of that back. My thinking initially was that with Tangela's strong Special Attack (Base is over 100), his absorb would be stronger than other pokemon's absorb. So he gets more HP] Tangela happily took even more health back from the Bidoof and became even more replenished. But lord behold, the Bidoof had finally awaken and it was charging the Tangela attempting to shoot a beam of lights against it. ::Tangela:: (98% Health) Tangela had weakened the attack earlier and it still did a load of damage on him. This time, he attempted to send little particles in the air around him while the Bidoof was charging at him, and also began to shoot another beam of red light at the Bidoof to collide with the attack. The collision this time prevented his absorb from ever reaching the Bidoof, but it also did weaken the Hidden Power attack more than it did last time, when a few absorb did not collide with the Hidden Power and instead went at the Bidoof. It wasn't a huge difference, but it was enough to lessen the blow... Slightly. ::Tangela:: (89% health) Hit by Hidden Power (weakened after collision with Absorb), Used Sleep Powder on Bidoof

<You are crazy if you think I'll let that hit me again.> The Bidoof raged, trying to direct the rest of her attack to blow away the sleeping spores. It meant more damage from the Absorb, but some of her own Hidden Power managed to strike at it, saving herself from some of the damage. With that done, growled as the remaining Absorb nipped at her sides, slowly stealing away her health. What should she do this time? Tackle? Hidden Power? Growl? She could do all of those things! "Jenna. Break time." His eyes narrowed, not pleased that the weaker Absorb was being used to protect the vine Pokemon. For now, a switch was wise. He returned the Bidoof, though she wasn't ready to go back in, and slipped her Pokeball onto his belt. Then without much thought, he sent out his own Pineco. <Whoa, take a look at that load of hair.> He snickered, twirling around tauntingly as the air of a battle settled in on him. From the way the two humans were positioned, he quickly caught on that this was his battle.

Luckily the Hidden Power began to make it's way to hitting the Sleep Powder instead of going at the Tangela. He had prepared himself for the onslaught but they instantly changed directions and instead went for his attacks. And some of his Absorb luckily got through and he was able to take back some health from the Bidoof. What looked like a somewhat painful attack originally, was not painful at all. He had still been damaged from the attack but he was in much better shape than he had anticipated. Tangela actually felt a little refresh and he felt ready to take on the Bidoof some more. But suddenly, the Bidoof was hit by a red beam and returned to his pokeball. And another ball was thrown and out from it came a Pineco. Blitz used his pokedex and found out that Pineco was a bug type, a type advantage against his Tangela. He quickly took out Tangela's pokeball and he recalled Tangela. He then took out another pokeball, which he had assumed was his Pineco's, and threw it on the field. What came out though, shocked even Blitz... It was not his Pineco but instead a charger type Pokémon. It was yellow, had big fists, and looked like a charger you plug into outlets. Blitz took out his Pokedex and found out it was called Elekid... <"When did I get an Elekid?"> Blitz wondered to himself... But he wasn't going to question it. Elekid kept his distance from the Pineco as he knew that from the look of it, it was highly explosive. (93% health). Recalled (100% health). Called out. Keeping a distance from Pineco

"Ah, and now Pokemon number 3 is revealed." Well, that pretty much decided what his last Pokemon was gonna be. It was extremely obvious that Elekid was an electric type, and he had three good counters for it. He had to admit, he wasn't expecting any physical strikes, but he liked to keep Yamato busy. "Harden and Bug Bite." Just on the off chance that his foe had a berry it cuold steal, though it wasn't very likely. <Humph. And who are you?> The Pineco faked ignorance as he hardened his body, giving it a silvery sheen as his defense was raised. This yellow kid was going down, or at least, that was what he thought. He didn't expect them to be similar in levels at all, which wasn't doing him any good. "Less chatty, more attacky." Susumu tapped his foot, eager to start the new part of the match. No Pokemon were knocked out yet, but he still was debating whether he should use the self-destruct card in this one. It would've been really good for Tangela, if it was still battling. The Pineco rolled his eyes, but charged at the Elekid, opening his layers of skin to only snap down really fast. Like teeth.

<"Arrgghhhh!! Get your nasty mouth off of me!"> Elekid snapped at the Pineco who had just got down and bit him. He felt the teeth sink into his body and felt a large pain from it. Suddenly his fist turned blue as he began to stare right at the Pineco with sharp eyes. He also began to generate some electricity while his ability began to activate. He began to static a bit as he then took his fist and aimed it right at the Pineco who had it's mouth caught on him. Blitz was surprised at the sight of his Elekid using Ice Punch on Pineco. He had no idea that his Elekid had known such an attack, and here it was aiming it right at the Pineco... Blitz hoped that it would connect and leave the Pineco frozen as that would prevent it from using a move for the time being. He was very worried of Pineco's Self Destruct ability, as the attack would surely do a lot of damage to his Elekid... If not even wipe him out completely... ::Elekid:: (85% health) Static Activated.
