Stealth Rock. It was one of the best moves out there, and it made him happy every time he saw it in action. It meant that Ken hadn't wasted a turn during Blitz's sudden switch in Pokemon, and it even caused some good damage to the Tangela. As predicted, it shot out another Absorb at Ken and there wasn't anything they could do about it. Shrugging at his rock types defeat, he returned him back into his Pokeball. That just left Jenna now, though could she take it on?
"Hidden Power, Jenna." He grunted as he shot out her Pokeball back onto the field. The nearly weakened Bidoof grumbled when she realized that Tangela was back out. Again. Was anything even knocked out when she was taking a break? How incompetent. No way was she going to beat this Tangela, and that stupid Pineco.
Nevertheless, she had an order to follow. Since she did happen to want to win, and she did notice that this attack actually did something...she shrugged, using the move as commanded. Susumu couldn't help but pick up on a bit of an attitude from the Bidoof and grunted, a bit annoyed that she was still like this.
{ Ken } Fainted. ooc note: I disagree about the back to full health thing, unless its only Blitz that doesn't understand the mechanics of the attack. Absorb only returns 50% of what damage it causes back to Tangela, and if Geodude was already weak with not a lot of health...well, just make sure you know these things for your route threads. ^^ +1 Level for Tangela, and 0.5 levels for Pineco for helping out. +1 Level for Ken. { Jenna } Level 12 Uses Hidden Power [Dark]

[OOC: I know. It was just Blitz who assumed it. The plan was always to have him at weak after the attack.] Tangela was hit by the Hidden Power and he began to weaken greatly... He had assumed that he would get a lot of power back from the Geodude, not knowing it was already very weak, but when the absorb returned he barely got enough to make up for the stealth rock attack. And now there was a hidden power coming his way which smacked Tangela right on the forward and caused him even greater grief... Tangela began to weaken greatly and did not see himself being able to take another one of those Hidden Power attacks. He really needed to react fast as this battle was not going his way at all. He began to dig his roots into the soil, like most plants do when they are weakened. He was too weak to move anyways so becoming immobilized from the Ingrain did not do much to Tangela. He began to absorb some of his health back, but not enough to really make too big of a difference although it did give him some hope left. And then he shot an absorb ray at the Bidoof in an attempt to gain more health. There was barely anything left for Tangela, and this was the best he could do... He had to battle from a distance and just hope that the match would drag on longer. Because that was his only hope of winning... (VERY WEAK) Hit by Hidden Power. Used Ingrain and Absorb.

"Eh? What's it doin?" Susumu asked curiously as the Tangela retreated its roots into the ground, trying to do some kind of last ditch effort to stay in the game. Whatever it was, it was making the Tangela look a little better, and seeing that threat of an Absorb approach Jenna wasn't making the situation any better. When the grass type move struck her, the level boost the Tangela earned after beating a few of his Pokemon made a noticeable difference. Generally, it was still a weak attack, but it was stronger now, and she endured a lot of them already.
<Ugh...human, do something.> She bit her lip, glaring at the mass of vines as she felt her health get sapped away from her, returning to the Tangela in the form of tiny green orbs. Shuddering from her fatigue, she waited for the next command.
"Hidden Power, make the most of it." Eyes narrowed, Susumu concentrated on his Bidoof as she charged ahead at her opponent. They were both weak, and this battle was bound to end soon.

Tangela was so lucky to have absorbed some of Bidoof's strength... and absorbed some of the roots prior to being attacked by Bidoof. It bought him some more time as he was able to withstand this attack. And it was nice to have his roots planted as that physically kept him standing up as his roots were solidified on the ground which prevented him from falling onto the ground. The only problem was, he was so tired after all of his attacks that he honestly had little to no strength left... To do anything... He looked at Blitz, nodding his head as if he really had no more left in him but his trainer would have none of that. <"You are still standing. You still have some left. Use absorb now!"> Blitz yelled at his pokemon. He had never raised his tone before to his pokemon. He can not even remember raising his tone ever in his life... Yet here he was, raising his tone to Tangela. This battle meant a lot to Blitz for some reason, and he would not lose it at all. He forced his Tangela to fight until the end, giving his vine pokemon no choice of backing down. Tangela will have to be physically lifeless for him to stop, he will continue fighting until he has absolutely nothing left... That was Blitz's motto here... For some reason, this did not upset Tangela at all. It surprised him but did not upset him. Instead it possibly even gave him a little more energy and allowed him to use another absorb attack on the Bidoof and it's trainer Shamu. Tangela began to generate enough energy to shoot a red beam of light at the Bidoof in an attempt to steal her energy and end this battle once and for all... He was very weak and this most likely would be the be all and end all for poor Tangela. It just did not look likely that he would survive another attack. So here it was, the finale of this epic battle. Tangela with one last chance to win or else he'd fall victim to Bidoof. He could not take another Hidden Power attack, and he hoped that Bidoof could not take another Absorb. Because this was it, the battle will end on the next turn no matter what... No way Tangela will have enough energy to survive another attack if it occurs. ::Tangela:: (INCREDIBLY WEAK) Ingrained Hit by Hidden Power. Used Absorb on Bidoof Tangela only has enough for one more attack... This will be the be-all and end all of the battle

"Ugh." Susumu glanced over at the grass type as it managed to take the Hidden Power, though it looked incredibly weak. It couldn't be all that strong, but it was interesting how it was still willing to fight, even after looking so exhausted after the toll of the battle. Jenna wasn't looking so good either, almost as weak as the Tangela, but her natural defenses kept her hanging on with a spunky attitude. She cracked her neck a few times to loosen up after the attack settled down, and soon hissed at the Tangela to prove that she was still standing proudly.
<Screw you, trainer. I'm just going to do it!> She hissed, nearly tripping on her tired legs as she started running towards the Tangela. It was weak enough to take a Tackle, and honestly, she wasn't sure if she could use another Hidden Power without feeling sick to her stomach.
Susumu didn't seem to object to the attack being used, and instead shrugged as he watched nervously. Was Jenna actually going to win the battle? Really? It was a first when it came to trainer battles, but he could be sure that her old trainer would be pleased to see her again.

OOC: Toma, what level is the Tangela? 9.5 or something? I can't trust what's in your PC because that includes the route and any other battle threads. XD

[OOC: Tangela is level 9. It started the thread at level 8 but beat a pokemon so it moved to level 9]
Tangela was disappointed to see that it had not defeated the Bidoof, it absorbed some health back from the attack and also absorbed some in the ingrain... But honestly they were nothing compared to everything he had suffered so far. When Bidoof ran into him, he attempted to use his vines to constrict Jenna but he just did not have enough strength at all to do so.
The Bidoof lunged forward and knocked Tangela to the ground. It had actually toppled over as it was too weak to even keep it's roots on the ground. When everything cleared, Jenna stood standing (although weak) while Perseus was out.
Blitz looked on in disappointment as he was sure he would win this battle, but he just returned his Tangela to it's pokeball and decided to continue on. He was extremely disappointed with how his starter pokemon had done, but honestly it wasn't Tangela's fault as he had not yet developed any strong attacks yet. It was Blitz's fault for not buying him a TM so Blitz considered going to the shop to do that now.
Blitz began to walk away, but he wasn't out of sight yet in case Shamu would want to stop him for anything...
[OOC: So how does the level go here? I know I get +1 for fainting but what does Geodude and Bidoof get?]

Hah...! So the Tackle managed to knock it out, did it? It was Jenna's first victory against another trained Pokemon, and she was feeling amazing. All of those other Pokemon that made a mockery of her; on the Primier Route, and at that blasted Power Plant, all made her stronger. She switched through trainers like a rag doll, and finally felt as if she proved her worth. Enough so that she began to evolve after gaining that extra bit of a level. Her form began to increase in size, and she grew bigger and bigger, until finally the glow of the evolution stopped. Susumu stared in surprise; the first evolution he had ever witnessed, and it was with Jenna.
"Bibarel." Jenna huffed, crossing her arms defiantly despite her weakness, glaring at Blitz as he returned his Tangela. She let her tail stay limp on the ground, using it to keep her balance as Susumu gave her a scan with his Pokedex. So she was a water type now? That meant that he had two water types on his team now, but it seemed like a good enough number. Especially because both were dual typed.
"Hey. Thanks for this." He nodded at Blitz, knowing that even if the trainer was sore from his loss, something really good came out of this. He allowed Jenna to stay out of her Pokeball, motioning for her to follow him as they went over to one of the Health Centers for a quick heal. Only then did the pair return to the battle room, though he wasn't necessarily going to use Jenna this time around.

During the time he waited, several things happened, specifically in the name of TMs. It had been a while since he bought them, so why not use them? Once that was done, Susumu yawned while Jenna curled up into a lazy ball in the corner. If anyone needed her, they better leave her alone if they wanted a chance at getting her attention. Then, a new trainer came in that was much different from the previous one. He was young and energetic, a nice sight for sore eyes. "Hey, name's Shamu." He nodded at the introduction, and realized that he should probably explain the rules he set up.
"Three Pokemon each, only held items...and its ok to switch Pokemon. That's all I got." The cocky blonde haired boy grinned at amusement at the rules, but even more so at the Ledyba. It was cute! But it looked confident somehow, even if Jenna totally shrugged its eager gaze away.
"Jenna, you up for it?" He asked, turning towards the Bibarel with a curious look. She only yawned. How wonderful. "I always like to start off with this big guy, but you can make the first move. You can even switch if you want." Right then, he tossed out Ken's Pokeball. The Geodude emerged with a heavy thud, appearing eager to battle whatever came his way.
<Hiya. You ready to rrrrumble?!> Ken laughed in an overly macho way, pounding his fists into the ground for a dramatic effect. He was just like a kid though, mimicking the wrestlers he saw on TV.

PKMN TRAINER SHINJI
Whipping out his pokedex, Shinji would take in the words from the entry and ponder. Rather than switching to Jackie or Willow, who both wouldn't have much of a hard time against a rock type, he decided he would rather keep Pascal out. "Eh, simple enough." Shinji would mutter in response to the rules that the blonde-haired kid had laid down. He only cared about the battle, but he would observe the parameters he was given.
"Alright Pasc, Safeguard then swoop in for a Comet Punch!" he would call out to the red bomber. The pokemon actually understood the combination, the defensive move to spare it the worry of any surprise status conditions being thrown at it and the punches just to dent the Geodude's health. Pasc would nod to the trainer, and Shinji would marvel at how willingly cooperative the pokemon was despite just being received in a trade.
At any rate, the bug would commence the battle by actually standing still, crossing all six arms into a guard while its body glowed with a bluish aura. With the Safeguard active, the bug pokemon would tighten each fist and dart towards the Geodude, stopping short to throw all six fists forward at it, the Ledyba being a perfect demonstration of Comet Punch's ability.

The massive barrage of weak punches from the higher leveled Ledyba was something that proved to be an interesting experience. It had a hard time harming his rocky exterior, but due to his slow body, he wasn't able to dodge a single one of them. It didn't matter too much, as when the move ended, he smirked confidently at the bug. <You must be part fighting! Sounds like fun times.> He chuckled, amused at the Ledyba's lack of a response to his words. He liked interacting with his opponents, as it made the experience more enjoyable.
"Safeguard...? Ah, well can't be helped. Stealth Rock." Susumu's eyes narrowed, wondering why the other guy wanted some kind of status shield up anyways. Ken wasn't capable of causing things like that, but he had a Pokemon that could just dominate with that sort of stuff. Ken nodded excitedly as he jumped into the air, landing with both fists straight into the ground. It sent mystical glowing rocks into the air, swirling around Shinji harmlessly.
"Let's go for a punch of our own-- Mega Punch." He slipped his hands into his hoodie's pockets. It was cold in here. It seemed cheap, sending out a rock to take on a bug, but he loved his Stealth Rocks. They were just useful. Ken raised a rocky fist towards the Ledyba, prepared to strike it in the chest.
