Gear moved aside once more. No way would he lose to this wild pokemon. He was too great to lose. He weaved above the meowths head, waiting to attack. "Gear, get ready to blast her again." Gear nodded and began to charge for another solarbeam.

The Meoth hissed. She was going to get her dinner no matter what! Even if it meant working for it. She pounced at the Steel Pokemon, teeth out and ready to chomp into it's body. She was out for blood even, she was hungry. She wasn't going to like this dinner plate get in her way!

Gear could tell what was going to happen next. He looked to Nera to be sure. Nera nodded at her pokemon. she would have to use a potion after the fight was over, but it would be worth it. Gear braced himself for the meowths attack. He felt its jaws clamp onto him. It hurt but he would deal with it. He stared at the meowth holding onto him with its teeth and smirked. Bye bye little kitty! He let lose another solarbeam right at the meowth.

Wurmple derping and injured. Meowth Hit by Solarbeam. WeakeningUses Growl + Bite.
The Meowth might've been at higher level, but that Solarbeam sure was something. She attempted to dodge it this time around by swiftly letting go, but the Solarbeam blasted her first. She yowled in annoyance, furious that the bright light had messed up her groomed fur. It forced her to the ground, showing just how strong it really was compared to the other moves Pokemon had in this area.
<I'll be saying bye to you, ya scum.> She hissed, then using a loud, obnoxious Growl attack to try and take off the sting of those Tackles. Luckily for her, this Bronzor's attacks weren't very strong. It was like a dull blade being rammed into her-- only slightly painful, but other Pokemon were better.
The problem here was getting past this guys defense. Her Technician ability made all of her attacks stronger by 1.5, nearly double their usual power. Yet this beast of a thing was taking them like a wall. She scowled, knowing that it would be a long battle indeed. She tiredly jumped up at the Bronzor, trying to sink her fangs into him once more.

Gear couldn't do anything about the growl but he could at least dodge the tackle. He circled around the meowth, trying to see how to beat it. He was starting to get tired, but he couldn't give up. He looked at Nera to see what to do next. Nera nodded and was about to say an attack when Gear used one himself. He glowed slightly as he used Confusion on the Meowth.

Wurmple derping and injured. Meowth WeakeningHit by Confusion Uses Scratch
The Meowth was clearly getting weaker, unable to keep up with this Bronzor's stamina. It was definitely in some other league, where she could hardly keep up with him. His attacks might not be doing a lot to her, but they added up slowly but surely. She sighed, exasperated as the loose confusion took hold of her, forcing her to spin around in circles.
Once that was done, she wobbled back and forth, anime swirls in her eyes as she tried to figure out what was what. Luckily she wasn't confused that time, but she wouldn't be so lucky later. Feeling nauseous after the attack, she extended her claws, feeling a bit too weak to jump up and Bite something. Instead, she would take lazy street.
She might've been weakening a lot by now, but she had enough fight left in her. She was tough! She could handle this, right? Right? She reached up and attempted a feeble Scratch attack on the Steel type, knowing that it wouldn't hurt it that much.

Gear watched as the confusion attack took its toll on the wild pokemon. It seemed to have swirly eyes for a moment before snapping out of it. It jumped at him with a scratch attack and he let it hit. It definitely didn't hurt as mush as the bite attack did. Nera eyed the meowth, it was pretty strong. she unclipped one of the pokeballs off her belt. She wanted to be ready when it fainted. "Gear, hit it once more. " Gear nodded and turned back to the meowth. He glowed for a moment once again before using confusion.

Wurmple derping and injured. Meowth Hit by Confusion Fainted Bronzor gains a level
<W-watch it!> The Meowth exclaimed, nearly banging her head on the Bronzor's body because he moved after she Scratched him. She landed smoothly on her hind legs, like Meowth's typically did while falling. She snorted, annoyed at the wasn't keeping up with the steel type as long as she thought she would.
He didn't look very tired either, and in fact, he was using another one of those glow attacks that made her all dizzy. She gasped, slowly taking a few fearful steps back, nervous about what was about to happen. She didn't want to throw up! She couldn't take anymore of this!
The Confusion spun her around and around, finally making her fall flat on her face. It was a painful, bitter way to end a battle, but at least they weren't going to eat her. Or at least she hoped they weren't.

Nera smiled as the meowth fainted. She turned to the wurple cowering in the bushes. "Don't worry, she wont bother you anymore." Nera stepped up to the meowth and tossed the pokeball at it. She hoped it would stay in the ball.

Wurmple Trying to hide. Interfere? Leave? Meowth Captured
As the Pokeball knocked her on the head, only the shiny glimmer of her coin was seen before she was snatched away. She wasn't sure what was expected of her in this tiny sphere, except that she was to be someone's pet. Someone's prisoner. Someone's Pokemon. She hoped that her spot in the food chain didn't change much, considering that no one actually ate cat in this area as far as she knew.
Maybe this would be a good trainer. After all, she raised that Bronzor of hers pretty well. She sighed in defeat as the Pokeball let out a calming 'ping!', signaling its victory in their dual of strength.
You Get:
::meowth:: Meowth Level: 8 Gender: Female Abilities: Pick Up + Technician Attacks: Scratch, Growl, Bite Personality: Naughty. Easily nauseous.
Well it looks like the Wurmple finally woke up, after hearing such a loud commotion during its blissful slumber. Upon seeing the Meowth get sucked into the Pokeball, it let out a fearful squeak, fearing that it would be next. Oh, no! He did not want to get hit by another one of those crazy Solarbeams! He scuttled away into the bushes, trying to hide his bright red color behind the green leaves.

Nera knelt down and picked up the pokeball. "Welcome to the team Cleopatra." She then clipped the pokeball onto her belt. Gear glided over with a content look on his face. "You did a good job Gear." Of course! I'm the best! Nera then began looking for the wurple they had been trying to save. At first she couldn't find it but then she spotted it hiding in the bushes. She walked over to where it was hiding and knelt down. "Hey, are you ok? You don't have to worry, that meowth isn't going to try to eat you now. I'm sorry you got hit in the fight." Gear flew over and looked at the red bug pokemon. I'm sorry you got hit by my great attack. You should join us! Then you could be strong too! Gear used his confusion attack to pick up one of Nera's pokeballs and show the wurple.

Wurmple scampered back, fearful that the Bronzor only wanted to hurt him again. Although to a calm mind, the Bronzor was obviously trying to be kind, little Wurmple was panicking, and those burns on his back said a lot for his experience with this particular Pokemon. Scampering out of the bush, the plate-like Bronzor only looked more intimidating to Wurmple up close, and his bleeding and burnt body was only buffering his paranoia and desire to escape. A long strand of gluey white string flew from Wurmple's head at the Bronzor, preceding the Wurmple's desperate dash into less thorny bushes. However, his speed was less than fantastic. ::wurmple:: Wurmple used String Shot and is fleeing. Interfere? [/B]

Gear jumped back in surprise as the string shot hit him. It covered his eyes as he swung about. Ah! I can't see! He fell to the ground and stayed there. .........Um, help? Nera burst out laughing as she watched this all. She couldn't help it. The scared little wurple had taken out the seemingly tough Gear. She couldn't stop laughing as she sat on the ground. "I-it's your-hehe-own fault-hahaha!"

Spinda x 2 Investigate?
<Come on, come on. Live a little. Get out there and sing. I hate how you act like this sometimes.> A harsh, yet serious voice emerged from the depths of the forest. The small Wurmple was able to sneak right past the pair of arguing Spinda, making his way to freedom slowly but surely.
<I...I just can't. Everyone knows that an Uproar isn't real singing.> A quieter, but much humbler Spinda pointed out, only to get his ears blasted by his loud mouthed companion. He knew that his friend wanted the best for him, but did that mean that he had to be crazy?
<Buddy, you can't live life that way. When you have berries, you eat them. You don't save them, or you'll never eat.> The older one announced, waggling his paw at the younger one, who still seemed unsure about the situation.

Nera was finally starting to stop laughing. A few giggles still came, but she was mostly done. She wiped the tears from her eyes as she walked over to Gear. "Hold on. I'll get it off." Nera hadn't yet noticed the two Spinda just yet. She gently picked up Gear and began to clean off the white gunk. Some of it didn't want to come off so it took her a bit.

The older one shook his head. >Look. I'll show you how it's done. And if you just gave it a try, you'd have fun." It was truly beyond the older Spinda's comprehension as to why this young one didn't want to sing. Kids these days... Strutting confidently out of the forest as the Wurmple finally reached his burrow and several hours of sleep, the older Spinda opened his mouth. >YEEEEEEEEEEEEAH!< he roared like a wannabe heavy metal star, even sticking two fingers in the air to confirm this. His roar terrified the escaping Wurmple, who holed himself up in his burrow. Starly, Pidgey and Taillow flew from their trees, squawking in protest at the noise. The younger Spinda flinched at the awful noise as the Hoothott were disturbed from their sleep and joined the other birds in their desperate escape. Was this really what it meant to be a Spinda? Disturbing everything within audio range? If so.... he wasn't sure he even wanted to be a Spinda. ::spinda:: Older Spinda used Uproar

Nera quickly covered her ears when the uproar was let loose. Gear wasn't so lucky since he was still on the ground. Clenching her teeth Nera rode through the pain the uproar brought to her ears. When it finally began to fade away she looked around to find its source. Not far away she spotted the two spinda, one of which seemed to be the one who had used uproar.
She marched over to the bigger of the two pokemon and placed her hands on her hips as she glared down at it. "What do you think you are doing? Do you have any idea how much trouble you just caused to so many? You shouldn't just use an attack for your own amusement. You have to think of how it will effect everyone around you."

The older Spinda gawked at the Trainer storming over and giving him a lecture. He could practically hear the cackles of sleeping Oddish and those birds who had returned to roost in the trees. It was rather funny to the younger Spinda as well, who put a teddy bear hand to his mouth to stifle his giggles as his older brethren gawked and stammered in an attempt to find a retort. Eventually, he found a retort in his form of his little body, which he hurled at the Trainer with all his might. The younger Spinda gasped and the birds in the trees winced at the older Spinda's reckless move. Oh dear. Judging by the Bronzor's treatment of that Meowth earlier, it was not going to take this lying down. The birds and younger Spinda watched the scene like a horror movie; scared for their fellow Pokemon but unable to look away. ::spinda:: Older Spinda used Tackle on Nera.

Nera waited to see if the spinda would apologize. It just stared at her with its mouth open. When she was beginning to wonder if something was wrong with it the spinda hurled itself at her in a tackle. Nera looked at the spinda with a blank face. Did it really think that would work. Her aunt had put her though the training from hell and this spinda thought it could tackle her.
She decided against kicking it out of the way. A crescent kick would probable hurt it to much. Instead she brought her leg straight up so instead of hitting her it met the bottom of her boot. She then quickly reached forward and grabbed the back of its neck.
"Really? You going to try tackling me? Not the best idea buddy." Gear had finally gotten the rest of the sticky stuff off of him and floated over. Ha! You're not very smart are you? Did you really think my trainer would be so weak?

The younger Spinda groaned slightly as his friend Tackled the trainer. Ever since they'd met, he'd always gotten them into trouble by causing fights. Did he not know that 'singing' with such a loud, interrupting tone would hurt the ears of those around him? <Why is it always me?> the younger Spinda grumbled to himself. He couldn't make normal friends for once, could he? They always had to turn out weird.
You don't even want to know about that Buneary...
The older of the two, however, had the wind knocked into him as the trainer's foot connected with his stomach, sending him sprawling backward with a cry of, <Oomph!>
Angrier than before, he pushed himself back into a standing position and this time charged toward her Pokemon. <Why, you!>
While his friend could have helped him out, the younger Spinda merely slapped a paw against his forehead. <I'm sorry,> he muttered to Nera, shaking his head with a resigned sigh. <He's always like this... I don't even know...>
