As the Quick Attack rushed for the Misdreavus, Ignus giggled as the Rattata passed through him. Seemed it had forgotten that normal type attacks didn't have any effect on him. Lifting a hand again, Ignus gathered rose light in his ghostly palm and launched it at the Rattata's back with a cackle. ::misdreavus:: Weakening. Used Psywave.

Pokemon battle ! The purple rodent gave a horrible hiss as the Psywave erupted through his skin and fur, burning with an ethereal power. It enervated the last of his health, causing him to breath a gasp before staggering as the mysterious power left him. His pain was at its paramount, especially with the cold chilling his ruined pelt to the bone.
<G-grr..> Growled the rat before his eyelids dropped without warning. Losing balance, his paws buckled and he crumpled in a mess of purple fur. ::rattata:: Hit by Psywave. Fainted. Ignus gains 1 level. Capture is possible.

OOC: Mmkay. And teehee, Nier. XDD
IC: Jesse's eyes softened in compassion as the Rattata went down. It suddenly looked a lot less dangerous; less spiteful in sleep. He didn't particularly want something like that, but he couldn't just leave it out here to freeze.
Tch. He was getting less and less realistic every battle. He would have to toughen up a little, interfering in the ways of nature like this just... wasn't his forte.
Returning the weakening Ignus to his Pokeball, he walked on. It was getting a little warmer now that the spring thaw was on the horizon. Maybe this weather would last a while longer, and stop him from needing to go in ridiculously early to avoid freezing. However, it was still cold enough to warrant his needing a warm jacket, and he kept an eye out for any Pokemon frolicking in the melting snow or hiding in the frost encrusted bushes.

NATU Although her two fellow Natu were at the base of the tree, hopping around the melting snow and kicking slush at each other, one small female was still sitting up in a tree, watching the others with longing. The two at the base of the tree, playing with each other, were larger than she was and both seemed to be males. They made a ruckus of PARAMOUNT proportions, flinging snow around and calling to the skies in their joy. But the small female seemed to shy to join them. Or perhaps the two males were excluding her? The situation wasn't entirely clear to the passive observer. The two on the ground both used a peck attack at the snow, sending a large mass flying towards Jesse, landing on the path ahead of head with a GRATIFYING plop. The males laughed and fluttered their small wings joyfully.

Jesse smiled a little as the snow showered his legs, a little more of an obstacle thanks to his thin frame and short height. He threw a halfhearted bundle of snow back at the Natu- though hopefully not quite enough to hurt any of them.
It was then that he noticed that a smaller Natu was sitting nearby- presumably a female or a younger one, possibly just the runt of the litter, like Jesse himself. Dew squirmed and squeaked to say hello to the smaller Natu, and Jesse sat down next to her, hoping that she wouldn't startle as he smiled in greeting; a Natu attack would hurt.

The two male Natu suddenly went off and tried to find someone, leaving the female to herself. That is until Jesse. She didn't seem to mind that Jesse was there, in fact, she looked rather happy. <Let's hope you're not a idiot male.> She stated. The two male Pokemon were trying to get her to be their love bird it appeared.
Soon, the two Natu came back with something in their beaks. The first male came back with a flower while the other came back with a...Magikarp? Flopping around in the Natu's mouth this thing was far away from water. The two birds landed on the ground and dropped their gifts. By mistake, the Natu dropped the Magikarp on Jesse. <Oops!> he said, a klutz like he always was. The other male snickered and said, <You'll never get her with a Magikarp!>

Before Jesse could ask the Natu to go into more detail, the two males flew off, one returning with flowers, and the other...what was that?
He found out in the most horrifically uncomfortable way possible when the Natu dropped the Magikarp and it landed, still quite alive, on Jesse's lap, soaking and staining his trousers to make it look like he had wet himself.
Grimacing uncomfortably to himself, he picked the Magikarp up by the tail. Oh God. It probably wasn't the best way to handle it, but he had never had to carry a Magikarp before, not even back home. His parents usually dealt with the Water Types, and never had he wished that he'd learned how to lift the damn things so much in his life. He was walking towards the river, holding the flailing Magikarp by the tail, and hoping to God or Arceus or whatever that the river was deep enough to sustain the thing. Otherwise he would have to capture it...and that wasn't something he wanted to waste a Pokeball on.

A vein twitched in Jesse's forehead twitched as the Magikarp was snatched out of his hands again by the Natu. Either he was stronger than he looked, or Jesse was weaker than he thought. He hoped the former. And then it was dropped again, and sighing, he shook his head and reached up his right hand to catch it...but it never fell into his palm. Looking up, he gawked to see Laura, his Sentret, looking very irritated with the Magikarp in her claws. >Hey, BIRDBRAINS!< she yelled furiously. >Have a taste of your own medicine1< Raising the Magikarp, she hurled it like a boomerang at the pair of male Natu. ::sentret:: Threw Magikarp at the male Natu.

EASTER PROMO ENCOUNTER
Clearly these Pokémon had no respect for others, and it wasn’t nice to watch as the Natu pecked at the Magikarp and sent it falling to the floor. Flopping wildly, the Water Pokémon was in a lot of distress, and suddenly the figure couldn’t take any more. Leaping out of the trees, she blocked off the Natu from attacking the poor fish again and the mere sight of her sent the first male – the one that had caught it – running for it’s life. The other male defensively stood in front of his potential mate, which impressed her greatly. Whispering something to him, they both flew off together, leaving the Trainer alone with the Magikarp and the newcomer.
“And you,” the Lopunny frowned toward the Sentret, “You should know better than to hurt a defenceless Pokémon.” There was a motherly scolding tone in her voice as she picked up the frightened Magikarp and cradled it in her soft fur. It relaxed immediately, nuzzling into her soft wrist fur, and she gently lowered it back into the stream, where it swam off into the water with a thankful cry of ‘karp’! Well, it was the Pokémon that had been mean to the Magikarp and not the Trainer, so perhaps he could help to turn this situation around. He should be raising it better, though, whatever the reason. She picked up two baskets - one filled with four lovely eggs, and the other filled with delicious looking chocolate bunnies.
“My name is Ms. Easter Bunny.” She introduced herself kindly to the trainer, now ignoring the Sentret. “I’ve come to give you a gift for Easter. You can either have one of my lovely eggs,” the Torchic let out a slight cry of ‘tor!’ in greeting, and nestled down with the eggs. “...Or you can have one of my Chocolate Bunnies, which I made myself. They are made with Rare Candies, which will make your Pokémon stronger. You can only have one, though, so choose carefully.”
BASKET ONE:
BASKET TWO:
::Natu:: ::Natu:: ::Natu:: Have all left.
::Magikarp:: Was released back into the river, and has now gone.
There is a Torchic in the Basket with the eggs.
Wild Lopunny can not be captured. You may attempt to battle her, but your Pokémon will instantly be rendered immobile and unable to battle. This is also applied for the Torchic. You may only choose one of the two given <3 Oh, and there are four eggs in the basket. You can choose which one you want <33333
Reminder: Egg hatches after 15 posts with a random Pokémon and is not affected by Incubator or Abilities that help Eggs to hatch faster. You get one egg move of choice, and an Admin chooses another.
Chocolate bunnies melt at the end of April. They level up your Pokemon, and can be shared, but levels are decided by an Admin. There is a side effect of consuming the chocolate - even if it's just a tiny nibble. How much a Pokémon eats has no effect on what level it gains. <3

It all happened so fast. The Magikarp was plucked from the sky by the lightning fast reflexes of the Natu, and then taken once again by a newcomer, a rather stern looking Lopunny with a basket looped around her arm, a tiny Torchic's head poking out of said basket, surrounded by brightly colored eggs. On the other arm was a second basket, filled to bursting point with thick delicious chocolate in the shape of the Lopunny who possessed them.
Laura didn't take well to being scolded so, and crossed her stubby arms before trotting back to her Pokeball, smacking it irritably with her tail and being converted to scarlet energy as she was sucked back into the ball.
And now this Lopunny was offering him a choice. Eggs or chocolate... Well, he wasn't a fan of forcing Pokemon to become stronger through artificial means, and since he didn't like to think of nobody taking care of the eggs, his mind was made up rather quickly.
"Uh...I'll take that egg, please." He pointed his outstretched finger at the first basket, at a dark pink egg the Torchic was nestled beside.
OOC: Feel free to either RP me getting the egg, or just assume I took the egg or moved on. Either is fine.

<Nice choice!> the Easter Bunny said happily as she nodded to the Torchic, who nudged the dark pink egg onto her back before hopping out of the basket. It waddled over to the trainer carefully before dropping the egg lightly right in from of the trainer. The Easter Bunny picked the Torchic back up and placed it back into the basket. <I hope you'll enjoy your egg. Have a nice day!" she said as she waved to the trainer, hopping her way down the path towards the next person she meets. ::Torchic:: Placed egg in front of trainer. Left with the Easter Bunny. On the ground, waiting to be picked up.

"Thanks," smiled Jesse at both the Pokemon, watching them leave before picking up the egg and holding it close to him. It was faintly warm to the touch. His second egg...he could feel the life inside. It was impressive. That a Lopunny and a Torchic were going around handing these eggs out was...slightly more weird but he wasn't complaining. The Lopunny seemed a good judge of character, so he was quite sure that she wouldn't hand out her gifts to any abd eggs. Groaning to himself as he realized he had just made a pun, he was interrupted by Ignus, who had chosen this time to pop out of his Pokeball and float around Jesse and the egg in his hands. >Ohhhhhhh?< Ignus' smoky features split into a wide, mischievous grin as he saw the egg >What is it? Can I hold it? What's its name? Is it Scrambled? If it isn't, I can make it scrambled by name and nature. KEKEKEKEKEKEKE.<"Get back in the ball, Ignus,< snapped Jesse, and Ignus complied, muttering something about omelettes and being fed aptly for a week.

<They want me to get rid of anything!> The Cleffa meant to say 'everything', but was too frustrated to even speak straight. He was ranting to a Caterpie, who he thought was his friend, but then said he had to use the bathroom and left him in a moody silence. So much for him! Who needed worms anyways! Leave them to the birds!
<I don't want to be their fwriends!> He pouted, throwing a childish tantrum as he kicked sticks up into the air. He was still fairly young, so he could hardly contain these emotions of his. He found himself growing more depressed and angry the more he looked at reality.
He didn't want to relinquish his favorite toy to those losers! It was his everything, and they would only play with him if he gave it to them. Sure, the Caterpie was nice and all, but even he wouldn't listen to him. It just made him want to cry, gosh darnit.
