Water Sport is in Effect Weather Cloudy Of course Poliwag was going to consider the trainer's offer. He looked over at Wingull and nodded softly to the flying poke'mon. The Wingull left the scene for a moment or two, but would return. Poliwag looked back to Merrick, stepping foreword. "I do not hide, I fight along side!" And with that cleared up he whirled around once, pointing his tail towards the Croagunk. "I accept, as long as it's not this poke'mon. Rest assured, he doesn't need help getting stronger." He wanted to defend his territory, but he didn't want to go into a futile battle against the stronger Croagunk and waste his own time. Wingull returned, carrying a berry for Poliwag. The Oran Berry was promptly eaten, and although it didn't heal him to full health it was a nice boost for the Poliwag, who was waiting to see if Merrick wanted to accept the condition and send out his poke'mon.

The Poliwag agreed, as Merrick had thought he would. Well, that left him a lot of freedom in what to do. He hadn’t wanted to use Kai anyway – the Croagunk needed to tend to Hellfire and make sure that she was alright. Stepping forward, he flashed a swift glare at Blake and Kai in signal that they would not be fighting and then rested a hand on his Pokéball. Hellfire was beginning to wake up now, and she lifted her head, tired. The first thing she saw was Merrick standing at the front, reaching for something, and she looked over toward Kai. The Croagunk hopped over to her, helping her to stand up, and she brushed her shoulder against him. He was alright!
It was clear that Merrick had agreed to the deal, because he looked over to the Wingull and gesture for it to move. If –anything- happened in which the bird broke the deal, then screw the rules, he’d tear them both to pieces himself if he wanted to. He knew what he was going to do, but at the same time, he made it appear as if he were considering something. In truth, he was mentally examining his own part of the rule: He’d said it so vaguely. There was very little chance that the Poliwag could win over this situation. If he did, then Merrick knew which loopholes to exploit – he was good at keeping his word exact to what the bargain was - nothing more than that.
“No interference, one on one.” He growled, and then threw a Pokéball up into the air. The capsule spun a few times before it opened, and shot a red light out into the trees. While it was clear something was meant to have appeared, it seemed as though nothing had, or that the Pokéball was empty. From the skies, a thunderous beating of wings echoed throughout the cloudy sky. Thump, thump, thump. It was repetitive, and by that sound alone, it showed that whatever this Pokémon was, it must be huge. Swaying, the shadow of a wing cast over the earth, and then grew as the creature descended, barely able to fit its body in this tight, tree-ridden area.
Two more thuds accompanied the creature as he landed, lifting a head, planted upon a long, winding neck. Fruit hung from his throat, yellow against brown and green. The Sauropod creature easily towered over the younger trees, looking down at the Poliwag, as whom would be his opponent. This was to be his first battle? Against a Poliwag that was already fairly hurt to begin with? Fair enough. But the Wingull didn’t seem to be in a very aggressive posture, so he assumed that he wouldn’t be battling that Flying type also. Calm and level-headed in nature, the Tropius flapped his gargantuan wings before he took off again, hovering over the ground.
“Valley, use Growth and Bullet Seed.”
Ascending up once more, he flared his wings out. Pulsing brightly, the fruit on his neck grew slightly and the leafy-armour on his shoulders and cheeks thickened slightly, indicating that he was storing up power. For a moment, the Sauropod simply flew in spot before he reared back his head. The duel type released a cry before he inhaled, spitting out several waves of glowing bullets out at the Poliwag, However, the Tropius was not that cruel like the others; he was calmer, not as inclined to inflict violence upon his opponents. Merrick only had the Flying type because he needed a quicker way to travel, and for more type coverage... He hated Flying Pokémon.

Annoying. weakgot hit by bullet seed and fainted |
Water Sport is in Effect Weather Cloudy The Poliwag was a little intimidated by the opponent's size. It never met a Tropius before so the tadpole didn't know much about the species. It was a grass/flying type, that was obvious. The water type cursed his stupididty. Why didn't it accept the Ice Beam TM from that shady, old Crawdaunt it met a month ago? Beating this oversized palm tree would be a piece of cake if it had an ice type attack!
While the Poliwag was deep in thoughts, the barrage of seeds were speedin towards the amphibian. They were about to connect with its moist, rubbery skin when the Wingull threw itself in the attacks way. The „bullets” slammed into the seagull's chest, dealing super effective damage. The flying type let out a distorted shriek and crashed into the ground. It was out cold; the Bullet Seed was too much for the bird to handle.
The Poliwag just stood there, speechless, watching his fallen comrade. Slowly, the water type's eyes narrowed in anger, its whole body shaking. It gritted its teeth and took a deep breath, trying to calm itself down. The tadpole managed to suppress its anger and sighed. When it was ready, the Poliwag rushed forward and let out out multiple small bubbles at the Tropius.

That annoyance turned to disgust, and his nose wrinkled as he looked over toward Kai. Returning the look, the Shadow Croagunk spat and turned away from the battle. Picking the Houndour up off of the ground, he steadied her on the earth and crouched down, using his shoulder as a wall. Well, there wasn’t really anything left of his ‘debt’ to her from freeing him from the confusion, but his payment was to ensure that her back was well enough to help her to walk properly. He couldn’t wait until he’d repaid the Houndour for her help. “Foolish winged rat,” Merrick muttered darkly, referring to the unconscious gull Pokémon. “What part of ‘No interference’ didn’t she understand?” The deal had already been broken by this stupid Wingull. It simply added to the fact of why he despised Flying types. But he would stick with it. His eyes landed on the Poliwag, which seemed to be seething with anger. Hell, it wasn’t his fault that the dumbass had blocked the move. The Poliwag should have been paying attention – especially against a Pokémon that had an advantage over him! There was no chance in hell he’d accept such a Pokémon on his team. Hovering above the treetops, Valley flapped his broad wings and watched the events unfold. However, he didn’t really mind the fact that the attack was blocked, but hadn’t they got an agreement? Sure, he hadn’t heard all of it. He was just here to battle the Poliwag, apparently. When the Bubble hit, the Sauropod didn’t even feel it – the water type attack had hit the armour-like formation on his shoulder. Carefully he sized up the damage of the move, and then retaliated with an attack of his own. "Growth and Bullet Seed."The Sauropod reared back his head and thickened the armour around his body once more. At this moment, his attack power grew further, and he fired another array of bullets toward the Water Pokémon. The move would deal some super effective damage, and without that strange other bird to deal with, Valley did feel somewhat at ease. After his attack, Valley soared up high, stretching his wings high above his body. The feeling of flying made Valley feel incredible - he was born for it, and he loved to do it the most. Despite Merrick not liking the heights, he'd take the Trainer up whenever he asked, so long as there were no limits as to how high he could go... Mr.Territoriwag and Co [atrb=border,0,true] { Poliwag } Level 6, Male Damp|Water Absorb Bubble|Water Sport Nature: Territorial, defensive, prideful Hit by Bullet Seed x 4 SEBubble on Tropius |
The Poliwag found himself open to another onslaught of seeds and misery, and he ended up getting hit a total of 4 times. It was super effective, and the Tropius was a grass type. It was definitely a bad match up for him, especially when all he had to attack with was bubbles. He was annoyed, but he held it together with the effects of the Oran Berry. He could probably last a little longer before going down. Probably.
<Ugh. Easy there big guy.> He chuckled nervously, still regretting that his Wingull buddy went down. He wanted to avenge her somehow, but at the moment he simply couldn't.
He let out another wide spray of bubbles at the Tropius that looked difficult to dodge, looking angry and stressed while doing so. He was doing his best, but his best was just not cutting it.

It would be an insult to say like a powerful river current with the weak power of this attack. The bubbles splashed over the leaves on his body. In one swift movement, the large flying Pokémon spun, letting the moisture flow up to the fruit on his neck to provide nourishment to them. The Sauropod flexed his body, flapping his thick leafy wings once before he circled overhead, powering himself up for another attack. Truthfully, this battle was going quite easily. Neither of the two had broken the deal, and soon his opponent would be defeated. “Growth and Bullet Seed again,” Merrick commanded. As usual, he was getting bored, and more inclined to just send in two of his best Pokémon to take out this amphibian quickly before it could call on any more of its friends. He didn’t care much – he just wanted to get moving and find something worth his time. “Hit it as hard as you can.” There was no rule in the deal against how hard they could hit, so he wasn’t breaking any of the rules. The type advantage here would ensure that he won this match. Though overconfidence was a bad trait, he didn’t see how this Poliwag could possibly defeat his Tropius. They were thick skinned and defensive. Valley | 7 | Male Used Growth and Bullet Seed { +3 Att, Sp. ::poliwag:: Level 6, Male Damp|Water Absorb Bubble|Water Sport Nature: Territorial, defensive, prideful Hit by Bullet Seed x 3 SE ~ weakening Bubble on Tropius He clenched his jaw as a trio of fast-moving seeds smacked into his round belly and bounced away. That attack wasn't enough to knock him out, but he stood their practically defeated anyways. If he didn't have so much pride he might have just given up and accepted his defeat. But there was no honor in that, and Wingul's sacrifice would have been in vain. For himself and for his friend he ran foreword, screaming out a primitive war cry. He slashed his tail back and forth, whipping it through the air. He sent a few waves of his bubbles towards the large grass-flying poke'mon, a look of ferocious determination on his face. "COME ON!" He cried, his last stand against the hardened foe and his poke'mon. He would go down fighting, kicking, and screaming. He would just have to be content in the knowledge that he had gone up against three of this strong trainer's poke'mon, and faired decently against them; even if he couldn't win. It was a poor consolation prize.

Calmly he watched the water attack flow toward him, and he wasn’t afraid of it – he knew the move’s power, and it didn’t really affect him that much. Flapping his wings, he slowed the move down and then leaned back as it hit him, lessening the damage from the blow. Unfortunately for the Poliwag, it still didn’t do anywhere near enough damage to take him out, and without waiting for his Trainer’s instruction, he powered up once more for another attack and then leered at the Poliwag. “Your attacks are not going to be able to defeat me,” the Tropius commented contently, landing just a short distance away from the Poliwag. Taking a deep breath, he fired yet more seeds at the Poliwag, flapping his wings in an attempt to speed up the attack. There wasn’t enough time to go into a Gust attack so instead he just dug his feet into the ground in preparation to take any possible incoming attacks. Merrick glanced over toward the Houndour, who seemed to be trying to walk somewhat. It was good that they were helping each other, but Merrick believed that those who could not help themselves should be left to die. “I feel... Strange...” Hellfire murmured, passing a concerned glance toward Kai. “I think I’m going to throw up...” Kai tilted his head at the confession. Well it could be a side effect of the poison he had used on her back, but at the same time, it never made him feel any different... Well, he was a Poison type, so it shouldn’t anyway. Suddenly the Houndour cringed, coughing a few times, her voice strained. Slightly, Jaysin turned, blinking in her direction as she coughed once more, releasing a plume of toxic gas from her maw. It gathered around the Trainer and dissipated, leaving Hellfire hoping that she hadn’t hurt her Alpha... Valley | 7 | Male Used Leer and Bullet Seed { +3 Att, Sp. The smirked as the bullets were speding towards him. He knew this was a bad idea, challenging such a scary trainer like this psycho. The seeds slammed into his soft belly five times, dealing critical and super effective damage. The tadpole was sent flying, the last thing he saw was the clear, blue sky before he flew into the bushes, disappearing.

The battle was over, and everything had turned out in Jaysin’s favour. As soon as he sent out Tropius, he knew the battle had been won anyway. Bullet Seed against Bubble was a good advantage for this flying type. With a flap of his leafy wings, he landed on the ground after circling and looked at Jaysin, awaiting his next instructions. With a mutter, Jaysin picked up his Pokémon and placed them on the Tropius’s back before hopping on himself, and then soaring off on his back, headed for the Pokémon Center. When he returned about two hours, fifteen minutes later, Tropius landed, letting the group of Pokémon and his trainer off of his back.
“I feel much better now,” Raika – the newly renamed Houndour commented. Her back felt as though it had never been injured, and she stretched, flexing her claws out in front of her and leaning back a bit. Jaysin looked disturbed somewhat, and while she hadn’t noticed any effects of that odd purple cloud she’d released from her maw, he looked somewhat pale. Was it the fact that he hated Flying types? Perhaps he was feeling a bit run down from not having his feet on the ground. Without even thanking Tropius, he recalled the Sauropod back to his Pokéball and growled, releasing another from his.
It was an Aron. The little Pokémon with steel-tough plated armour on his back and head blinked and looked up at Merrick. Oh, so this was to be where he started his adventure as well. Well, hopefully he’d grow up quickly, because there was no room for weakness on Jaysin’s team.

::zigzagoon:: Lv:;10 Gender:;Male Moves:; Tackle, Growl, Headbutt Personality:; Like's peoples socks, hates fighting.
The zigzagoon had been running around all day saying random things to keep his head occupied. He was so bored these days, no matter how many things he tried to do. It was just no fun without many trainers around as there used to be when he was a level 1 pokemon. The little racoon like pokemon stopped, when he saw a trainer, A TRAINER. He jumped around a little bit excited to see that finally some action would be seen. Even though he hated battling if they asked he would like a friendly battle. He didn't really mind, but he didn't want to end up a trainers pokemon either.
The zigzagoon rushed up to the trainer and looked at his socks. They were amazing, he had never seen anything like it. All sorts of colors in his eye, amazing white radiance. The stripes near the ankle, it was just amazing. <I love your socks mister> The zigzagoon exclaimed. He stood on his back paws for a few seconds and then landed again.
