Ugh. This Bellsprout was a rainbow-vomiting hipster. Nothing annoyed Rez more. He rolled his eyes as the Bellsprout misunderstood the situation as a simple accident. The Pidgey found this quite insulting. His attack had been misunderstood for a 'barge'. Really?
He would show the Bellsprout what an 'accident' was. Reeve shouted, spurring on his Pokémon. He decided to let the Pidgey go freestyle again, create his own tactics. If needs be, the trainer would intervene to lead the Pidgey to victory.
<My god, you are annoying...> Rez frowned, charging again.

>Oh god! I'm sorry for annoying you with my rainbow vomiting ways.< The Bellsprout said after she was struck again with another tackle. >I need to be more careful with my words and motion, or else I can really hurt someone.< She said as she started to get out of the way and allow the Pidgey to go on in peace and ignore her. >I'm sorry for everything. I won't be up in your biznatch anymore.< She said, bowing her head to the Pidgey as she stood in the corner. That was until standing still got boring, so she started pacing around again and running in circles all over again. >Weeeee!< She seriously was incredibly childish... ::Bellsprout:: Level 2|Female Chlorophyll Attacks: Vine Whip Personality: Very playful and childish, has a rebellious streak and dreams of being a rainbow.

Huh? The stupid Bellsprout thought being attacked was fun? Rez's attacks felt good?! What an insult! The Pidgey wouldn't stand to be taunted in such a way, especially by a GRASS type!! Of all the Pokemon out there, he was being taunted by a weed?! Unbelievable.
Rez was turning red with rage, steam was even radiating off his head. He stamped his foot and charged again. He would NOT be taken lightly!!
Reeve watched on with concern. He hadn't seen the bird Pokemon so mad. In the half-hour he'd known Rez, he had seen a calm and happy bird. Now? He was suddenly full of rage and anger!!

Alright, so the first two attacks had pretty much been accepted as first accidental, and then as some sort of a punishment to the poor Bellsprout for annoying the heck out of the Pidgey, and possibly his trainer as well. But the third time? Now that was just going a little too far. The aspiring rainbow seemed offended as she moved out the way of the attack.
<I apologised!> she said, her voice coming out as more of a whine due to her childish nature. <Don't you know you're not supposed to attack a rainbow after it apologises to you?> Gah, he was interrupting her and that was so unfair! She'd been so close to achieving her goals!
Still, she wasn't too experienced in battle. She seemed confused as to what she was supposed to do, but after a moment a vine whipped toward the Pidgey in the form of an attack. At least they were both inexperience and the Pidgey--though Bellsprout was not aware--paralysed, so it wasn't like she was way out of her league here.
Thank goodness he didn't know any flying moves.

The Bellsprout was indeed very lucky that Rez didn't know any Flying moves, else she'd be nothing more than dead leaves. She was also lucky in that the Pidgey found himself rigid and stiff, he couldn't move, as if his muscles had seized up or something. It was his paralysis again.
He grunted as the grass type move struck him, it wasn't a very effective tactic by the Bellsprout, but judging by it's age, it was probably the only attacking move it knew, if not the only move it knew.
There was little the Pidgey could do but wait until his paralytic phase had ended. Reeve watched on with growing anxiety. Rez was angry, it was as if the Pidgey was now the bully, and the blue-haired boy didn't like it. Perhaps over-exposure to fighting had made the Pidgey reckless. Whatever it was, he needed to cool off.

Route 1: Rainbows! [atrb=border,0,true] Level 2|Female Chlorophyll Attacks: Vine Whip Personality: Very playful and childish, has a rebellious streak and dreams of being a rainbow. Vine Whip on Pidgey |
<Ha, you're so slow. I guess you never heard that rainbows were so strong they could...make castles appear and make you stop hurting and being bad!> The Bellsprout was rambling like most children did as she pointed a leaf at the Pidgey. She probably wouldn't make a good fighting Pokemon, even if the trainer worked to make her battle if he caught her. She was simply too young and naive to handle that kind of thing. Even now, it was all a game to her.
<Just you wait, Super Tree can come by and fight all the bad guys! He's a double rainbow!> She exclaimed wildly, though it was only a story that her mommy told her. There had been rumors of an Abomasnow coming around, but he only appeared if trainers were really bad. She seemed to think that they were bad enough though, but he wouldn't come under these circumstances.
<Watch this! Super kick hyah!> She looked a little tired, taking on this bird that was stronger than her physically. She aimed another kick with her vines at the Pidgey's chest, hoping that it would teach him a lesson.

The roots of the Bellsprout very much resembled legs. Thus the reason the annoyingly cheerful Pokemon described her attack as a kick. She jumped up and swung the leg, the vines extending and striking the Pidgey directly in the face. The bird stumbled backwards with a squawk, falling onto it's rear.
He was certainly more than annoyed now. <Why you little->
[/color] He stamped his foot, his little face full of rage. "Rez, stop..." Reeve commanded as the Pidgey was about to charge. Instead, the bird stood there, still like a statue. Reeve reached into his bag and pulled out a bland colored diamond, or jewel. It was strange and dull, it didn't look too valuable. He crushed it in his hand, turning it to a powdery dust, which he sprinkled on the Pidgey. This game was getting more and more fun by the second to the bellsprout. She crossed her leaves over themselves and threw her head up in the air, <Ha, take that you evil eater of Rainbows> she exclaimed. If there was anything she wasn't going to let herself loose this game. She was going to win and become the ultimate tamer of rainbows. Another legend that her mom told her about a hero who tamed and protect rainbows from the evil rainbow eaters, this guy must have been one of them.
She looked at the human who sprinkled the dust of the diamond on the evil rainbow eater. That guy must have been his assistant and was sprinkling rainbow dust on the pidgey to make him stronger. She went into defensive mode again and sent out a whip to try and hit the pidgey in the face, <I will not let you eat anymore rainbows evil eater of rainbows!> She yelled out dramatically.

Reeve had ordered Rez to calm down, his temper was too high and for some reason it was getting in the way of his usual style and making him aggressive and weak defensively. Hopefully now he had calmed down a little, he would be able to focus fully on the fight.
The Bellsprout lashed out with another of her vines, swinging the leg like a whip. Rez slid onto his belly as the vine went overhead, missing him by inches. He pushed himself to his feet quickly and charged at the Bellsprout, hoping to again tackle her off her feet.
Reeve noted that Rez had a short temper, and was easily annoyed. He didn't take too well to being taunted, that was for sure. He guessed that this was the reason he was being bullied by the Kricketot when Reeve first met him.

>Ha Ha!< *Splat* The tackle landed on the Bellsprout and she quickly flipped over and fell on the floor due to the overpowered tackle attack. As she got up, her eyes began to get a bit watery as she looked at her opponent and almost let out all of her tears but somehow magically caught herself before doing so. >You rainbow thief! Evil rainbow eater! Hope you like this!< She said as she swung her vines at the Pidgey hoping to give the bird a bit of a whiplash from the attack. >You rainbow thief! I bet your mother never disciplined you before... Let me do it for you!< She said as she used the vine whip as a stick instead. ::Bellsprout:: (Tiring) Level 2|Female Chlorophyll Attacks: Vine Whip Personality: Very playful and childish, has a rebellious streak and dreams of being a rainbow.

The Bellsprout certainly didn't give up easily, that was for sure. Rez noticed she was on the verge of tears. In a way, it made the Pidgey feel bad, after all she was very young, and he was attacking her for no reason (Other than to train). Still, he tried not to let his feelings get in the way of battle.
The whip lashed out and struck the Bird-Pokemon square in the chest, stinging slightly. For a move that wasn't too effective, it sure stung. He growled angrily and rubbed his chest with his wing.
Reeve was happy with the way Rez was improving since he had come under the influence of the blue-haired teen, who watched on with a smile. Rez had the potential all right, Reeve could see that. All he needed was guiding in the right direction. The teen hoped he could do that successfully.
The Pidgey upped, feeling slightly weak, this was his third consecutive battle and even if it was against a grass type, he was getting tired. Still, he prepared himself and charged again, hoping to crash into the also weakening Bellsprout.

<Oh wait till my brother gets his leaves on you!> The Bellsprout wheezed after using that last Vine Whip, wondering if she was playing a bit too hard with the Pidgey after all that was going on. She wobbled back and forth as she felt the wounds from the previous attacks catching up on her, and the Pidgey looked ready to claim his defeat.
He charged straight at her, and she raised her leaves to her mouth with a half scream starting. It was enough to frighten some of the wild Pidgey out of the trees; she shut up when she was actually tackled, turning into a high pitched gasp as she was knocked onto the ground.
At least she didn't land in poop. She went unconscious for a few seconds and began to stir, most likely going to wake up on her own without any help from the human.

The Pidgey's attack connected, rendering the plant Pokemon unconscious. Reeve smiled, Rez had won his third battle in a row, he sure had a winning mentality about him. No doubt Rez would be his trump card in any trainer battle.
Still, he didn't want to take any more chances with Rez fighting again. The Pidgey was weak and paralyzed, he needed rest. So the trainer took out the empty Pokeball from his belt and pressed the button, drawing the Pidgey back into a sleep-like state, stored in the orb.
Now he felt lonely. Lucian was out cold, he needed to get to a Pokecenter to heal the Slugma, who wasn't really much of a fighter. Maybe he would drop the Slugma in his PC and continue with the others, Lucian had been holding him back.
He decided that was best, and in one swift movement sent out another Pokemon to accompany him.
"Swinub! Swi~!" Chirped Voen, happy to be with his trainer again. Reeve liked Voen the most, and since the Swinub's earlier battle with the Kricketot, he was sure the Pokemon would be feeling happier and healthier in accompanying him.

A girl jumped out of seemingly nowhere and scared the living daylights out of Reeve, who jumped back slightly in shock. She smiled at him eagerly, it was almost creepy.
"Uh, Hi! I'm Max..." He said stepping forwards after the shock of the girl's appearance, "Most people call me Reeve..." He explained, folding his arms, "And sure, I'd love to battle!" He smiled, evaluating the opponents.
A Volbeat and and Illumise. Both looked high in level compared to Voen, who was rather feeble looking. In addition, there were two of them and one of him, so it looked like Reeve would have to send out another Pokemon to accompany the Swinub in battle.
Thus the blue-haired boy reached for his belt and grabbed a Pokeball. Rez the Pidgey was out of energy and couldn't battle and Lucian the Slugma had fainted... Reeve was wary of using the Chimecho that he had been given by that Toma person... He didn't know it's nature and if it'd even obey him. His only other option was-
"Aline! I choose you!!" He yelled, pitching the ball through the air like he was at a baseball game. The orb opened, striking the ground with a burst of light, revealing the Budew, who blinked a few times and tried to grasp what was going on.
"Alright! Voen, use Tackle! Aline, up yourself and use Absorb! Both on Volbeat!" Reeve commanded.
The Budew closed her eyes and started glowing slightly, taking in energy from the sun. She felt stronger, more radiant. Then, the plant Pokemon started pulling on the Volbeat with a natural power, sucking the life out of the Bug Pokemon gently. She knew it wouldn't be too effective, but it was her only option.
The Swinub's move was a lot more simple; He upped and charged at the Volbeat, throwing himself through the air in hopes of colliding with the Bug Pokemon. Reeve's tactic was to take out the Pokemon one at a time. By ganging up, and taking out one of the duo, any combination tactics they had would be useless.

NPC Alice
"Alright, great to meet you Reeve." How did the nickname Reeve come from Max? She really had no idea, but it sounded better to her at least. She was grinning when she saw the grass type, and was only slightly worried when the Swinub appeared. She wasn't sure which Pokemon was the strongest, but it looked as if they were a bit new to battling. Mister and Missus were very polite and it was easy to see that they were very tame, but they were a bit silly when it came to battles sometimes.
<How do you do?> Mister asked the two Pokemon as they were sent out, smiling as he buzzed up and down besides Missus. She seemed excited to give this a try, and bashfully covered her cheeks with her hands with a loud giggle. Oh goodie! <I can't wait!> She laughed, nudging Mister playfully with a small blush.
Almost made you want to vomit, right? "Absorb and Tackle? Mister, take'em and use Flash." Absorb was a grass type move and couldn't do much against him, but she wasn't sure about the Tackle. The Volbeat lowered himself in a bodyguard fashion in front of Missus, making absolutely sure that she wasn't harmed as he was tackled and leeched off of. They didn't hurt so bad, at least. His tail started to glow brightly and he turned it around in front of the Budew, hoping it got a very good look at his rump. <Pardon me.> He coughed, slightly embarrassed.
"Sweet Scent and Tackle, ok?" Alice called up with a giddy grin, watching as Missus started to support Mister by dancing behind him, releasing a very sweet scent that would distract all of her foes if they simply let it take over them. Mister launched himself at the Budew, only because it seemed a bit easier to take out.

Well, at least the attacks went to plan. Reeve had hoped his attacks had done more damage, yet he was left somewhat disappointed at the Volbeat's attitude. Not to mention his antics with the Illumise, it made him want to vomit.
The Volbeat flashed the Budew in two ways, first by lighting up it's tail in her face, and secondly by showing her his ass. The Budew cringed as she was momentarily blinded by the light. This allowed the Volbeat's tackle to connect, knocking Aline backwards.
Voen stared on with a lazy look as a pink cloud drifted around him. He inhaled it, feeling suddenly relaxed and calm. The Budew inhaled it too, feeling somewhat happy.
Reeve had seen this tactic before. "Stay alert, you two!!" He yelled, as the Swinub upped. "Let's go, same again!!" Commanded the trainer, sticking to his original tactics to take out the Gentleman.
The Budew again took in sunlight, glowing a faint yellow color, before drawing in on the Volbeat with a natural power, trying to suck the life out of the bug. Meanwhile, the Swinub simply charged once more in an attempt to tackle the Volbeat to the ground.

NPC ALICE !
Reeve didn't seem very friendly, and Alice sighed a little before she gave up on trying to be talkative and friendly. So many trainers on this route were all battle and no socialising. She supposed that she was used to it by now, but it did get a little tiring when all you did was pit your teams against one another. Still, if he didn't want to talk...
"Try and get out of the way, Mister!"
She figured that he might have a better chance at dodging the attack of the Budew because of its lowered accuracy, and she was right. As she watched her Pokemon was quick to let out an alarmed hum and move out of the way, small wings beating rapidly. <Oh!> Missus said worriedly as her partner neared. <Are you al-->
She was cut off as the Swinub landed a successful Tackle. Missus immediately started to apologise, but the Volbeat wasn't having it. <Better it have hit me than you,> he replied kindly. He glanced at his trainer for further instruction.
"Alright Mister, use Double Team and then both of you use Tackle!"
It was Missus who moved first, immediately volleying herself toward the Swinub. Mister took the slower approach, first moving about rapidly until weaker copies of himself could be seen, and then launching himself toward Budew.

Reeve frowned, realizing that the two bug Pokemon were much, much stronger than either of his. He was, as usual, the underdog. Gritting his teeth, he could only watch as Mister and Missus attacked once more.
Mister created copies of himself, allowing him to dodge attacks easier. Alice's tactic of making her Pokemon harder to hit, and Reeve's Pokemon easier to hit, was certainly a good one, and one Reeve admired.
"I applaud your clever tactics, Alice... I see you rely heavily on Evasiveness...?" He said, signaling with his hand for the Budew and the Swinub to do the same as before: Growth, Absorb and Tackle.
The Swinub was hit by the Volbeat, who was heavier than he had expected. He couldn't take too many more hits from a Pokemon of that level. Reeve needed to think of something, their current tactic was dealing little damage to the Volbeat. He upped and charged at Mister, trying to tackle him to the ground.
The Budew, with her lowered evasiveness and general tiredness, was unlikely to dodge the oncoming tackle from the Illumise, but somehow, she managed to dive onto the floor, avoiding the tackle. As unlikely as it had been, she had successfully dodged the tackle!!
The Budew drew in energy from the sun once more, growing slightly. She then tried to absorb energy from the Volbeat, even if it had increased it's dodging skills.

NPC Alice
Alice blushed a little when Reeve complimented her strategy, which were moves that both Pokemon learned naturally by training. It was a strategy she never thought of on her own, but her Pokemon had shown it to her. In battles, it was actually pretty fun. The Volbeat clones were still very light but when Mister flew around, it was harder to tell which was which. Missus was able to make them easier to hit, which was her main role. It was almost as if the pair were made for each other, at least for battling anyways.
"Thanks, we're gonna beat Adrian real soon." She said energetically, even though she didn't have enough Pokemon to even take the Gym Leader on. They could do it somehow, right?
The Swinub got hit, but the Budew managed to dodge. It got a little bit stronger, which worried Alice a bit, then used an Absorb on her dear Mister. The little bug was resistant so he was ok, but a full powered absorb made her wonder what it would do to him. "Dodge the tackle, come on!" Alice ordered, but it turns out she didn't have to say it. What the Swinub tackled was a clone, oh dear. "Oh, ok. Uh, double team and sweet scent. Then go and tackle that Budew, guys." She commanded, looking excited again.
The Volbeat started to make more clones of himself while Missus sprayed another sweet scent along the field, hopefully making both Pokemon rather drunk on her fumes. With a giggle she winked at the Swinub, saving him for later as the pair dived down at the little plant.
