There was nothing on the line. Nothing. Nothing. And then all at once something took the bait entirely in its mouth and began to try and swim away with it, the line hooked in its mouth. Its tail slashed angrily back and forth through the water once it realized it couldn't get away. It swam for the surface and the Carvanha broke the surface, leaping up into the air and spotting the trainer with her angry looking eyes. The red and blue poke'mon sailed in an arch shape through the air, body glimmering as water drops caught the sunlight. Bring it on. She challenged Zac with a fierce glare as she dove back into the water and continued to fight against his rod.

Zac was nearly pulled into the water when the carvannha chomped down on the line, panicking at how intense this suddenly had gotten. Wasn't fishing supposed to be hours of relaxation, nice naps, and gentle easily caught and small fish that magically grew 10x as big when you went home to tell people about what you'd caught? This. Was not. Going. As. Planned.
<Staaaay back Hero, I got this!>he cried out, stopping the grass type in her tracks. Sure she could use the same strategy they had with the staryu and it would probably work, but this fight was personal. This was man vs pokemon, fisherman vs fish.
Grunting with effort, sweat beading up on his forehead, Zac yanked back on the fishing rod, arm racing as it spun the rods handle about, trying to reel in this unsavory creature.

The Carvanha smiled when she saw that Zac took this personally and tried to use all of his strength to reel her in. The problem was, she was a master of the sea and thus knew all the secrets to get away from the good rod. She quickly began to swim in zig zags, pulling the string as hard as she could to avoid being tamed and captured by her foe. This was going to be much harder than Zac imagined if he thinks he could so easily as reel her in like that. And while going zig zags. She simply gave Zac a mean look to show her how serious she was. This was personal between the two, and she would not give in until she came up victorious. >Bring it on punk!< She basically said to her opponent. Challenging him for a fight of his life. Either she'd be uncomfortable breathing air, or he'd be uncomfortable breathing water... "I...won't....lose...." Zac panted, eyes narrowing to slits as he fought against this mad fish, as it zigzagged to and fro. His instincts, oddly enough, were screaming at him to get out his pokedex and try to figure out what exactly this thing was. Of course that was impossible, since letting go even for a second would send him, or his rod, into those waters. Considering how vicious this fish looked, well, he'd rather not have to go into these waters any time soon.
It was all Zac could do to stomp his feet into the ground, leaning back as far as he could, just doing is best to keep the line from extending out fully, heels slowly digging in as he waited for the fish to either calm down or start tiring out.

The stubborn fish wasn't ready to give up either when Zac put his foot down and began to pull with all of his strength. She quickly tried to take a deep breath and focus all of her strength into getting away, but right when she focused... She gave Zac the slightest time to pull with all of his strength and get her out of the water. It wasn't the smartest idea in her part, using focus energy at a time like this... In a game where one was a fisherman and the other the fish, it was never wise to take any time off... Not for any reason. And when she took a bit of time off to recollect herself, she gave Zac the advantage he needed to pull her out of the water, but the question was, did Zac capitalize in the time or not? ::Carvanha:: ~ Level 19, Female Leer, Bite, Rage, Scary Face, Focus Energy, Ice Fang, Screech Personality / all brawn, no brains to speak of

When Zac felt a slight relaxing in the line, he knew this was his moment to shine. With a mighty roar, the pilot turned fisherman began reeling in as fast as he could, jerking the rod backwards as he did so. The force he exorted however was so great, that Zac suddenly found himself stumbling backwards, the tension on the line suddenly gone.
As he fell back onto his back, gasping for breath, Zacariah couldn't help but wonder what had just happened? He could see Hero running towards him...but he he done it, had he pulled that scary thing from the water? Or had his fishing line simply snapped? Well there was only one way to find out...

She was rudely pulled from the water. Up, up, breaking the surface and then flying through the air. She was turned around in midair so that she saw Zac tumbling backwards and towards the ground. His grass type was running towards him. She saw her chance! With the hook and line still in her mouth she angled her flight path so that she was heading straight towards Hero. Her jaws opened up, the lure could be seen in the corner of her mouth, and her fangs began to freeze over. Her breath became icy cold. "Ice... FANG!" She called out her attack as she fell back to the earth. Either with her jaws wrapped around the Rosalie or just flopping on the ground, if she happened to miss. She was finding it hard to breath, being up in the air and out of water for so long.

Rushing to Zac's side Hero glanced at him with concern, wondering what she could do to help her trainer. She could heal herself well enough but her trainer? Oh he better not have any broken bones... As she stood there fretting over Zacariah, there was one thing she never even remotely considered: blood thirsty fish falling from the sky. She was only aware of the fish a split second before it bit her, as its icy breath brushed against her face. Then suddenly, icy fangs clamped down on her head, hard. <AHH WHAT THE HECK IS GOING ON!>Hero screamed, arms flailing about as ran in circles, her normal calm and composure completely shattered. As Zac sat up he couldn't help but smile slightly at the sight, since she acting just like she used to when she was a little budew. <Get it off, get it off!> she pleaded falling to her hands and knees not and staring at zac with big pleading eyes. Zac wanted to help but those scales looked really rough and sharp... Carvanha, the Savage Pokémon Carvanha's strongly developed jaws and its sharply pointed fangs pack the destructive power to rip out boat hulls. Many boats have been attacked and sunk by this Pokémon.
Hero had a Pokémon on her head...that could sink ships just by biting them? Ouch, that had to hurt! "Uh, put your hand against its mouth and fire a sludge bomb! A bunch of poison down its throat will probably make it sick. Maybe then it'll let go?"he suggested, somewhat at a loss for words. Without hesitation, Hero's black rose practically punched the water type as she positioned it against the creatures mouth before releasing a massive amount of toxic sludge at it. Would it poison it? Would it let go at the foul taste? Or would it simply endure and continue to torment her? Hero didn't know but she was willing to try just about anything at this point.

NASTY NASTY NASTY! She thought to herself as her mouth was suddenly filled with purple goo. It burned, like acid. Instantly she screech loudly, her voice as high and shrill as a dog whistle. She pushed off and landed back in the water, still attached to Zac's fishing line mind you. She sighed in relief and swam once in a circle. But she wasn't running away this time, not when a fight had been picked! With a great jump she launched herself up towards the Rosalie again, her body thrashing around with a great rage to attack Hero with any sharp, rough part of her body. Which was basically the entire thing. Her eyes were glowing red with anger, her body quivering with intensity, and steam practically coming out of her ears while she raged against Hero.

Screech was never a very enjoyable attack, all loud and noisy, if always made her cringe in pain. So when the evil fish that was chomping down on her head began shrieking like a misdreavus, well, Hero was not a happy camper.
Thankfully though the annoying thing let go, allowing the weary plant to stumble back, clutching her head in pain. <Remind me not to go fishing with you again...> Hero muttered, shaking her head side to side, left over sludge being flung to either side.
Seeing how distressed Hero was, Zac decided to help Hero out a little. When the scary monster fish lunged at his Pokémon a second time, Zac yanked his rod to one side, changing the fishes trajectory just enough that the rage attack missed its mark.
"Get back some health!" Zac cried, tripping over a rock and falling onto his back, just barely keeping his grip on the fishing rod. Turning, Hero pointed her petaled hands at the fish, firing a mega drain attack at it for some much needed health.

>You will get it!< He said after being struck with a mega drain that made her a bit light headed. And it didn't help when the poison struck her soon after and she began to feel very weak around the head. Her vision began to blur a bit and her sides began to change colors due to the pain she was feeling, but she was in no position to give up this easily. In an instant, she quickly gave another loud screeching sound at the Roselia before she charged forth with her mouth wide open, ready to take a bite out of the Roselia. >Come here you! Come here! I'll get you!< She said as she jumped as far as she could, her teeth turning blue, as she hoped to chill the Roselia and give it a very dangerous bite attack. Huh, this fish really didn't know when to quit, did it? Though it seemed a little dense, Zac had to admire its courage. It had been ripped from its watery world and assaulted (even if it had assaulted them first), but instead of running away was bolding standing its ground and, oh who was he kidding it was getting owned!
"Seed that biter, and then follow it up with ar Sludgeberry Surprise!" Zac called over, hoping he could be heard over the water types noise. Did it really have to make such a noise? Jeeze, it was such a fish out of water. After a moment Zac snickered at his own joke, before glancing back at the battle.
The fish had bitten down hard on one of Hero's arms, and the roselia definitely wasn't looking very uh, pleased with this turn of events. Though she would have loved to perform another megadrain, she trusted her trainer to at least guide her in the right direction. Her free hand quickly launched a seed at the fish, whilst the other one, still locked in the creatures jaws, attempted a sludge bomb. She was having a little trouble getting the poison flowing in the semifrozen limb though, so it was entirely possible it would escape before the attack was launched, assuming it even came out at all.
Unable to do much else, Hero just tried to hold on and keep battling, hoping the water deprived fish would like, suffocate or something before she was taken out herself from lack of...warmth? Sure that'd work.

For a pokemon with no brains, the Carvanha was sure not to hit by the sludge bomb again. It couldn't have been completely stupid as it moved out of the way in time of the sludgeberry surprise and remained safe. Though it wasn't as lucky against the leech seed, as a seed was planted on the poor water type and soon she had a bit of her energy drained. That, in addition to the poison did not make the Carvanha happy or smooth sailing at all. The fish quickly gave the Roselia a scary look before she fell back and started to pant heavily. She had to catch her breath after losing so much energy, and she needed some rest in order to accomplish that. Rest was a good thing for this fish, rest was exactly what she needed at that moment. >Come at me!< She egged up, while resting. I guess she is still all brawn no brain... ::Carvanha:: (Weak) ~ Level 19, Female ( POISONED ) Leer, Bite, Rage, Scary Face, Focus Energy, Ice Fang, Screech Personality / all brawn, no brains to speak of hit with Leech Seed, dodged Sludge Bomb. used Scary Face

"Hero! I know you're tired but you can do it! Just gather your strength and show this thing whose boss!" Zac shouted, still holding onto the rod, thankful the fish hadn't attacked this time. Maybe after last time it had realized he could take advantage of it diving through the air?
Shrugging, Zac watched as Hero, whose petals were drooped and seemed to be panting, struggled to gather her composure once more. Could she win this fight? Well, maybe if Zac stopped being stingy and actually used a healing item, though with all her available healing moves she was too proud to beg for healing.
Raising her arms, roses pressed together, Hero focused her energy. Though she'd normally use sunny day in combination with this technique, she wasn't sure she'd be able to use both of these moves simultaneously, even with the leech seed slowly but surely transferring this evil fishes energy to her.
"It's time to prove I'm worthy of the name Hero!"the shiny roselia shouted, a tiny ball of light forming between her petalled hands. The rapid grew in size, before with a roar exploded outwards in a large beam of concentrated solar energy.
Feeling faint, Hero fell to her hands and knees, feeling tired enough that she couldn't even force herself to look up and see if she'd landed the shot.

ALL BRAWN. NO BRAIN. The fish was getting extremely agitated with the poison damage sinking into her fins, giving her a purplish coloration as she swam about in a fury. If she could swim around in circles fast enough, she would probably be making a whirlpool right about now. Instead she was just pacing her time, trying to think of a plan of action except that her puny brain refused to work.
She roared, jumping out of the water the instant the not so charged solarbeam was sent out. It was a total miss, aimed right underneath her as she let out a smug grin. Her fang filled smile then opened up wide, and eyes of nothing but hunger for victory were focused on the equally weakening grass type.
<You're mine!> She laughed as she fell back down like a missile, aiming herself as if she was some kind of torpedo. Well she did evolve into a Sharpedo. Maybe this was training. She went for a normal bite, thinking it was enough to frighten the grass type off instead of going for overkill.

OOC: I was curious to see if I could go a full week without anyone bothering to reply to it. As for the solarbeam thing, eh, I could of sworn in the attack/move thread, and the tourney rules it just simply said you could only use it alone and with no other moves. xD I also remember having once read someone, possibly you, say for moves like bide if the other person did multiple posts in one to save the other person from having a 'herp derp im biding' post. xD so I assumed if I was wrong about it being used on its own then that logic of two posts worth of moves for the fishy would apply~ :'D Double Wrong ftw~[atrb=width,500,true][atrb=cellspacing,0,true][atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style,border-radius:15px 15px 15px 15px][atrb=background,http://i237.photobucket.com/albums/ff305/The_Panguin/xboxCool.jpg][atrb=cellpadding,10,true]
It seemed to take an agonizingly long time for the solarbeam to charge and fire, and if Zac didn't know any better he would have sworn half a week had passed. Was Hero really that tired and worn out? Shrugging slightly Zac could only watch and wait.
The fish of course managed to dodge the agonizingly slow energy blast, and then and there Zac knew Hero wasn't going to win this fight. This was her second battle in a row against an opponent more powerful then her. Even with her type advantage, poison weakening the fish and leech seed draining its health and giving it to her, she was simply too worn out to keep going.
<Careful Zac...fishing is hazardous to your health.>" Hero joked, unable to even stand up and try to block the incoming attack. Struck head on the grass type let out a shrill cry of pain, before falling over backwards, completely defeated.
As he returned Hero Zac wasn't quite sure what to do. His only viable pokemon was Monster, who admittedly wasn't the uh, best choice to fight a ravenous fish. Sure he could use Amelia, but she was his trump card, so probably best to let her rest a while longer.
Could he just throw a pokeball at the fish? If was definitely weakened, but if it failed then what? It seemed unlikely the fish would just sit there and let him send out a pokemon, unless it was just that pissed off at him.
In the end Zac withdrew a lure ball, and simply tossed it at the carvanha. It was a pokeball designed to catch pokemon while fishing after all, and was supposedly more effective then even an ultra ball in these situations.
"Sorry! But I can't let Hero's efforts be for nothing."he apologized to the fish, even as the ball soared through the air.

Troll Crash to the Max! When the lure ball was thrown and hit the Carvanha, it sucked the fish up who tried recklessly to escape the capture. She banged to her right, and banged on her left, but eventually the ball was just too powerful to stop her and she was instantly captured by Zac. The problem was, the lure ball stopped right a few meters in front of Zac and thus he had some walking to do to pick it up. That normally wasn't a big deal, except in this case, a guy wearing a black hoodie picked up the lure ball and placed it in his pocket. Before Zac could react, he suddenly saw a fire spin sent around him to prevent him from going after the trainer, unless it was extinguished. Behind the trainer was a large legendary beast. It looked Zac in the eye and roared loudly. "Forget about the Carvanha." The trainer said. Before getting on his Entei and turning around. Normally after catching a Pokémon Zac would cheer or make a clever comment, before storing the Pokémon away, probably forever. This fish this terrified him, which was part of why he'd caught it. After all, if it was inside a pokeball it couldn't randomly lunge at him unexpectedly next time he tried to catch a Pokémon right?
His thoughts were short lived though as the dark hooded figure appeared. As the man began to take his pokeball Zac prepared to run at him, when the fire appeared. Startled, he could only helplessly watch through the swirling flames as the guy took his pokeball.
Thinking back to his encounter with those pidgeotto, it became readily apparently that this man was the necromancer of cheyenne falls. Was he part of BLAAAAAZE's evil cult? Did he know where his demonic pillow was being stored? The sight of that massive hell hound only furthered his convinction and Zac, despite having two fainted pokemon, one underleveled and only two ready to fight, raced after this rather powerful looking person.
"Hey! That's my pokeball!" Zac shouted, pulling out Monster's pokeball and releasing the ground type.
<...>glancing about Monster stared in horror at the gigantic Pokémon this enemy had. Was he expected to fight that thing? Sure he was good at taking heat based attacks, but this thing looked like it'd roast him for dinner.
"Monster, rapid spin!"
With a nervous gulp the sandshrew began to dance about, pretending his hands were deadly swords. He needed to up the tempo and get confident before daring to attack this creature.
"Uh...that's not what I asked you to do..." Zac muttered, staring at his sandshrew rather blankly as it just danced around for seemingly no good reason.

Blitz smiled when he saw the trainer try to take him on and summon a pokemon against his legendary beast. What came out disappointed him though. He stopped and looked at the trainer and the Sandshrew. "Not only is he pathetic, but he also disobeys?" Blitz asked before he tapped on Hades and his Entei quickly put his trainer down so he could be beside his legendary beast while he battled. "Alright Hades, show him a mighty roar!" He said and Entei gave a very loud roar at the Sandshrew... Hopefully strong enough to scare the poor ground type away so that Blitz could see what else this trainer had. "Next time, don't disappoint me with garbage." Blitz said. Monster had never been very brave, and as the gigantic beat roared at him, well, his courage was gone in an instant. Pausing middance the tiny shrew simply turned and returned himself to his pokeball, an act that startled Ace.
"Uh..that was special."Zac muttered, looking rather concerned now. It was bad enough this necromancer could control the dead and summon fiery demons, but now he could even manipulate Zac's pokemon? There was only one way to counter him then, and that was with stealth.
As subtly as he could Zac released his staryu, thankful he hadn't sent the ninja star to the pc. Immediately the ninja starfish stealthed into his surroundings, shifting into a green and brown grass type.
"I just don't think I have a pokemon that can handle your greatness!"Zac exclaimed, clutching his head in mock horror. "Maybe you can give me your autograph?"
While Zac tried to distract the man Ryu continued his stealthy approach. He was cunninh, he was clever, he was a ninja.
