Blitz laughed when he heard Zac ask for his autograph. Typical, people outside of Team Death were weak and to them... The necromancers were like heroes or celebrities. "Sure, you can have my autograph. Let me give it to you now!" Blitz said as Hades was struck with a water gun and did not even move after getting hit. The attack did do damage to the fire type, but not enough to make either Blitz or Hades worried. Upon looking at the ninja in a natural grass environment, taking the form of a brownish-green color... He quickly tapped Hades and the Entei slowly began to generate fire in his mouth. In an instant, a large fire ball was shot at the area, incinerating everything at sight and hopefully destroying the Staryu also. "If you beat me. You can have an autograph. If you lose, I'll keep your pokeball and you forget about this day completely." Blitz said after. Smiling as he still tried to conceal his identity. ::Entei:: Summary: Hit by Water Gun (SE), used Flamethrower Name: Hades Level: 26 Gender: Male Item:: Quick Claw: Once every three turns: Two attacks Attack Set 1: Flamethrower, Hyper Beam, Bite, Body Slam Attack Set 2: Leer, Ember, Roar, Fire Spin

For not even a single moment did Zac think to amend the 'conditions' of this battle. If he had been smart he would of told this stranger he'd get an autograph and his pokeball back. Of course Zac, being Zac, wasn't thinking that far ahead as he nodded and accepted the boys challenge.
"Uh, Ryu, are you still alive out there~" he called, cringing slightly as he glared at the charged and smouldering ruins from which the water gun attack had originated.
Though barely visible, Ryu had miraculously survived the attack, albeit only just barely. Buried in the ground, with only his soot covered gem visible, the starfish pretended to be fainted, with only the slight pulse of his gem signifying he was in fact still in this fight.
Not even noticing his pokemon Zac frowned, turning his back on the battle and staring at his pokeballs, trying to figure out how on earth he was ever going to beat this weird guy.

Blitz laughed when he saw the Staryu still alive after the attack... Although his camouflage was completely gone now. "Alright Hades. Now bring it to hell." He said, tapping Hades on the stomach as his Entei started to generate a large fire ball in his mouth once more. And again, like last time, he shot it directly at the Staryu once more in hopes of making it faint. "So much for your autograph." Blitz said smugly after seeing the fireball come at the water type. He did not expect the Staryu to survive this one at all... There was no way of it. And in mid process, he also thought about how it'd be to mess with the trainer a bit. Tapping on his Entei again, he decided to give Zac a scare. "Use Roar on the trainer!" He said and Entei quickly gave another loud and powerful roar... This time at Zacariah. If he was smart, he'd run away and just forget everything. ::Entei:: Summary: Hit by nothing. This was...madness. His every attack, his every move was completely negated by this trainer, this monster, and his Pokémon. Flashbacks of his battle with Blaze surfaced in his mind. He'd fought hard then too, and had only landed a single attack before losing a Pokémon. He thought he'd come so far, grown so much stronger, yet here he was fighting this lesser version of Blaze, and he could still only barely make a scratch. Was this all pointless? Had all his hard work so far meant nothing?
Returning Ryu Zac bit his bottom lip to keep from crying, before turning and running back towards where he'd left his fishing rod. He felt miserable, weak, so alone and lost. Just like last time he'd even lost a Pokémon he hadn't particularly cared too much about. It really was just way too similar for him to handle.
Without even really thinking about anything Zac just dived into the water himself. He wasn't a very good swimmer, but the cool refreshing water felt great, and with any luck it'd help clear his mind and get him his confidence back.

Blitz picked up the pokeball and left as he saw the trainer run away. Serves him right for challenging his legendary beast... He quickly returned Hades back to his pokeball and went on with his journey. Thankfully he had a new Pokémon done, and a mission completed to add to his name. Now it was off to the next challenge... Taking on the world one Pokémon or trainer at a time. He thanked the kid for his Carvanha. It was a nice steal... Blitz stole Zac's recently captured Carvanha ~ Level 19, Female Leer, Bite, Rage, Scary Face, Focus Energy, Ice Fang, Screech Personality / all brawn, no brains to speak of [OOC]: +1 level for Ryu for fainting. ------------------------------- [BIC]: At the meantime, when Zac jumped into the water, he was stopped by a Mantine who simply smiled at the trainer who looked so miserable. The Mantine slowly tried to pick Zac up on her belly and swim with him on her. She was a very carefree Pokémon and she took pleasure in things like this. The trainer looked very upset so she hoped to cheer him up with this, while having fun herself. She wagged her tail around while she started swimming, as it steered her in the direction that she was going to go. With or without Zac, she was going to have fun swimming... So it was just a question of, if Zac would have fun with her or not. Floating atop the water Zac's mind was filled with thoughts about his past. About the pokemon he'd captured, both the ones he'd raised and the ones he hadn't. Some he'd developed strong bonds with, others were little more then distant friends. Was he going about pokemon training all wrong? Was being totally carefree and just having a good time not...effective?
As Zac floated there, wondering if he could ever be able to truly defend his friends if he just tried to have a good time, he was completely oblivious to the strange creature beneath him, even as it ferried him about.
It was only when Zac realized he was moving, that he shifted about, blinking in confusion as he realized he was on something solid.
Turning about he stared at the large smiling face and was more then a little startled. "Uh...hi?"he said awkwardly, uncertain if he had swam onto this creature by mistake or not, and even less sure if it secretly wanted him to get off.

>Well hello there!< The Mantine said when she saw that Zac had clutched on and actually enjoyed allowing her to take him around. That was nice of him, normally people or pokemon would freak out when they are captured by this large animal... But this trainer was different. She liked that and she took a liking to him. Instantly she began to swim back and forth before she suddenly got ready to shoot a supersonic wave at the water and instantly propelled herself, and Zac, somewhat into the air before they fell straight again, making a very loud splash. >Whoops! Guess the distance wasn't far enough to try that!< She laughed, hoping the trainer did not mind getting very wet. ::Mantine:: Level 13 | Female Attacks: Psybeam, Bullet Seed, Signal Beam, Tackle, Bubble, Supersonic, Bubblebeam, Headbutt Personality: Very carefree. Despite his best efforts a small grin crossed Zac's face when the weird floating thing he was clinging to tried to fly into the air. It was a clumsy awkward attempt, that just resulted in drenching Zac and what was probably an awkward landing for the big thing, but it sure was fun!
"It was a good try!"Zac finally said smiling as he glanced down at the strange thing curiously. It was big, broad, and had giant fins that reminded him of wings. Could this thing really truly fly? Zac wasn't entirely sure, though with that long tail it did kind of remind him of a kite...
"Okay! So swimming back and forth is a good idea, we gotta pick up speed! I don't think shooting uh, whatever that was straight down is a good idea though. If you try to do it more angled down and behind you, and you keep your win- er fins extended out straight, we might juts be able to fly!"he declared mind already racing. A flying fish? Who would have thought it possible!

The Mantine was even more surprised to see that this sad looking kid knew a thing or two about flying, and she intently listened to his instructions. She normally would’ve ignored the details and went over and over until she finally became submissive, but this actually sounded like a good idea. She started to swim near the edge of the pond so she’d have a lot more room to roam around and pick up speed later on. With her casual stride turning into a sharp curve to the right, her eyes narrowed as she thought about the speed she was about to go at. Oh this was gonna be good, so good and sweet!
She kicked up the speed with a mischievous face, eyes intense as her wing shaped fins started to tuck under the surface of the water and over it, pushing her even faster. She was getting to a good enough speed like last time with the wind rushing all over her to provide an extremely fresh feeling. With her tail dangling loosely behind her as if it had a mind of its own, she was completely wild and free as she decided it was time. Time to launch!
She forced her head above the water as she inhaled air, then releasing a strong sound blast at an angle below her, sending her up and forward as her wings opened up. This was it, they were catching serious air! She kept the Supersonic up as the wind caught under her wings, making her go higher into the air. It was like the perfect glide, with all of the birds freaking cheering them on and the fish splashing about in awe. <Awwww yeaaaah!> She cried as they started to go back down, covering enough distance to actually cross the pond they were in. She landed with a splash near the shore, bobbing up and down with a gleeful expression. <That worked, you genius! Have my kids!> She laughed, joking.

Even though just moments before Zac had been full of despair and dread, he found himself now brimming with excitement and anticipation as the mantine began to circle, quickly picking up speed. Despite all his claims at knowledge about flight, Zac really had very little experience with flight. Besides the time on that black dragon, his pikachu blimp ride, and the time he'd fallen off a ladder and landed on his head as a kid, he really hadn't experienced true flight. Now here on this watery creatures large powerful back, Zac couldn't help but wonder if this time he'd really soar.
Then, suddenly, it was time for their attempt. He instinctively knew it was coming. He could feel the bunching up of the mantines muscles, the way their speed had suddenly seemed to reach its limit. Then, suddenly, they were launched skyward, a dream came true.
Time seemed to slow for the young trainer as he clung to the mantine, eyes wide as he looked around taking in the sights. He really was flying! Griinning ear to ear he listened to the cheers around him, waving cautiously to the pokemon all around feeling like the king of the universe. Of course mantines couldn't really fly, and before long they were descending. Though the flight hadn't last as long as he would have hoped, and it didn't go nearly as high as he'd gone with Blaze's charizard, Zac felt oddly...content. Unlike the last time where he'd had next to no control and the pokemon had freaked out, with this mantine they were in sync, working together like a well oiled team. Was this...love?
The sudden impact with the water left Zac both laughing and gasping for breath, which was a really rather painful and disturbing combination. Hearing this mantine's words, Zac couldn't help himself. At a loss for words Zac gave the mantine his best attempt at a hug as someone could give a mantine while clinging to its back, kissing it's head as well, even if its face was on the other side.
"That was awesome! We're such an awesome team, aren't we? You should totally come home with me someday, I'm sure my parents would love you." he said with a laugh and a wink, before hugging the water type on the neck tightly. Was he overreacting a little? Probably, but this pokemon was making him feel better, and that was all that really mattered to him right now

Oh man... Awkward! [/b] [/center] Oh man, it was getting awkward. Sure the two were flying and as always they had to descend eventually as she was part flying but honestly she couldn't REALLY fly so were eventually brought down. That wasn't awkward although it was a bit unfortunate as she hoped she could have gone much longer... But all good things do have to come to an end it seemed. What was awkward though, was when the trainer started to hug her tightly and kiss her head. Wow that was awkward, didn't he know she was just joking about having his babies? Man... Trainer and Pokémon never mix well. Wasn't it clear that Pikachu and Ash were always just Pokémon and Trainer and nothing more? If Ash and Pikachu couldn't get together, no trainer or Pokémon could. The Mantine quickly just sighed when she heard Zac invite her to see his parents and then hug her some more... Oh man, this is awkward. She had to break a few pokemon's hearts before, but she never thought she'd have to break a human's heart. >Uh... sorry... But... uh...< She said, not really knowing how to put it at all. She never thought she'd be hit with this situation ever. So she honestly had no way of handling it. >Uh... I guess... I don't swing that way?< She finally blurted out. ...she hated him! Horrified Zac slowly loosened his grip, eyes wide as he slowly inched backwards. All that teamwork, the shared goals and dreams. When push came to shove it- it- it meant nothing to her! Was it really surprising though? He was the loser trainer who'd lost not one but two pokmon to that evil team doom...or whatever their name was.
"I'll be going now..." Zac said glumly, knowing when he wasn't wanted. His dramatic exit however was slightly ruined, by the fact he forgot he was in the water. As he climbed off the mantines back he immediately dropped like a stone. Surprised by his sudden drop Zac didn't even realize he was sinking. Instinctively he tried to call for help, but of course that only made things worse.
As he sank, he tried to think of a plan. That mantine probably though he was committing suicide, and it hate his guts, so it wouldn't help. Panicked Zac drew out a pokemon sure they could swim him to safety. As the pokemon emerged his saviour was...Monster. >.>;;
For a moment trainer and pokemon stared at each other, before both began thrashing around wildly. Apparently ground types who hate water aren't good swimmers. Who knew?

Loves to swim and loves to pick up passengers on her belly and swim with them on her. trying to blast Zac and Monster to shore with a bubblebeam Their parting may have been awkward. It wasn't a clean break up to be sure. There was still some messy stuff between them, all of those... seconds spent together and sharing what they had, it didn't just go away so quickly! But this Mantine wasn't the sort to let Zac and Monster die because of all of that. For the record, she tried to swim in and grab them, but the flailing of them prevented her from even getting close enough to touch them. It was too dangerous. And for a second she lost all hope. She would need to try something utterly desperate, and perhaps dangerous for Zac and Monster. Bruises were better than dead though! So Mantine inhaled some water, and blew out a long beam of bubbles towards them both, trying to angle her blast so that she'd blow them out of the water and towards the shore, or at least into the shallow water. She closed her eyes and tried harder, determination leaking from every pore on her face. Oh wait... that's sweat.

Danger was everywhere. Behind every rock, every tree, and every blade of grass it lurked. Under the murky water and above the fluffy clouds, even underneath the dirt, danger was everywhere. It was the cruelest of predators, one that was impossible to escape. After all, everytime you even took a bite of food it was there, waiting to choke you or clog your arteries, the bastard. It was his duty to battle against this menace, and this strange foreign wide bodied creature took that job very seriously. It was for that very reason that he had arrived here, at this lake. As he had observed the wondrous event of the flying mantine even he had been in awe. The determination of that pokemon, the cunning of that trainer, a bright future lay ahead of them both...if danger didn't make its move first. As the pair landed the white figures eyes narrowed. Every glorious moment had to end, and he had a feeling this one was about to. After all the greatest deceiver in all the land had these two surrounded: water. It nurished and saved, posing as a friend one minute, though the next it was rushing down your throat and trying to suffocate you. It was an evil insidious foe, and having lived with it his whole life, he knew first hand how to deal with this despicable entity. So when the boy fell into the water, his arms flailing and the mantine looking stunned, he was ready. A flippered arm rose to his lips, and with a deep breath he blew into his whistle, its shrill piercing call filling the area. With a dramatic dive, the mysterious figure leapt of his tall rocky perch and into the cool crisp water. He was a hero after all, and it was time to save this poor poor fool. *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* Thrashing wildly, Zac could feel his life fading. It had been bad enough drowning, though now the water was wild and turbulent as a flurry of bubbles assailed both Monster and himself, confusing him as to which was was the surface and dooming any hope he had of swimming to it. Was this the end? Rejected by a pokemon he thought he could have clicked with, and then murdered by it? As his vision began to fade, Zac saw a strange sleek form race through the water. It was moving fast, and reminded him almost of a mermaid. Stuggling to keep from passing out, since that was certain death, Zac saw the shadowy form rush past again, Monster simply vanishing as it did so. The last thing he saw, as he ran out of breath and lost consciousness, was that same shadowy figure, coming for him. *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* Shit, the human had stopped breathing. As he burst from the water, the seel roughly shoved the human onto land, prodding him until he rolled onto his back. Glancing about he noticed some pokemon were watching, and leapt heroically onto land. <Step back I'm a professional!>the water type bellowed, even though no one was crowding directly around the trainer. Without hesitation the Seel sprang into action, headbutting Zac in the gut full force. Like a fountain water sprayed out of the unconscious man, and with the water cleared, the water type began to give Zac CPR. After an agonizing minute and a half of hard work Zac began to breath once more. With a smug look on his face, the seel pulled a pair of sunglasses seemingly from no where and put them on, crossing his fins as he turned to face the pond. <Once again I've defeated you Water! You're just no match for me.>
Being BadassSaved Monster and Zac! Used CPR and headbutt on Zac!

<Oh gosh, oh gosh. A professional? Thank goodness you're here!> The Mantine was hovering near the shore where the Seel dropped off Zac and Monster, lurking in the waters and watching with concerned eyes as he went into action. What was he doing, eating Zac's face? She sure didn't swing that way, but this was kind of erotic in an odd disturbing way. She couldn't make sense of it, and she chose to ignore it for the time being.
It seemed to work because the pair were both breathing again, and she could finally breathe a sigh of relief. <I am so sorry! I could've taken you to shore, you didn't have to die because of me.> The Mantine was near tears, swimming nervously from side to side because she simply couldn't keep still. This was her fault for being careless. Again!
It wouldn't be the first time her lazy, careless streak went and ran her over like a truck and some roadkill. She should probably just go away now, since she felt useless. <I-I should go. I'm supposed to take the school of fish to school.> She sighed, moping around and drifting away.

A strange rumble emanated from the seel, which, apparently, was a sound of approval. It was happy to see that mantine go. After all, it was like a watery carpet, and what happened if you pull the rug out from undersomeone? Well, they fell! That clearly was what happened here, the sneaky creature.
Turning around, the seel focused his attention on the unconscious sandshrew, poking it in the gut with his horn. <Pssst, hardshell. Pssssssssssssst wake up...>he murmured, nudging the shrew again. He wasn't particularly fond of ground types, but it was an eye witness to this incident, and the only one who could confirm whether it was an accident, or attempted murder.
Why he attempt to administer to the shrew, Zac woke up. Coughing the young trainer sat up, nearly flopping back down as a wave of nausea swept through him. As his memory came flooding about, Zac glanced about in alarm. What had happened? One minute he'd been dying with some weird black thing heading to him, the next...here.
Glancing about he saw saw a weird thing near Monster, that seemed to be poking him incessantly. Though it was kind of weird it reminded him of a marshmallow. Mmmm marshmallows.
It was then he noticed that cool mantine was swimming away on him again! At first he was confused, after all he was sure it had already ditched him..so why was it here? Was it..the black thing?
With an enthusiastic nod Zac climbed to his feet, swaying slightly before cupping his hands to either side of his mouth in an attempt to amplify his voice "Hey you come back~ I want you to come with me!" he shouted, waving wildly at the mantine as he did so. Sure they had had an awful break up, but if you loved someone you could always forgive them, right? Especially after they saved your life.

The Mantine was on the verge of crying, not wanting to believe her ears. Even though he almost drowned because of her, the trainer still wanted her to join his team. How is this possible? The water type turned around and started floating towards Zac. She stopped in front of the wet human and gave him a questioning look. <A-are you sure you want me to be a p-part of your team?> The kite Pokémon was stuttering a little, her cheeks red from embarassment. She didn't dare to look into the boy's eyes; she was still ashamed of herself for putting the human's life in danger and almost killing him. If it wasn't for that strange Seel...
The Mantine shook her head; there's no time to feel depressed. The manta ray like creature collected her courage and finally looked into Zac's eyes. <So? Do you really want a weak and useless Pokémon like me? Be honest, please.> The Mantine wanted to make sure the trainer was serious; she didn't want him to regret his desision later.

A small smile slowly blossomed on his face as the mantine turned around once more. They hadn't known one another for long, but the vibe he'd gotten from this thing had been as good as anything he'd gotten from any other pokemon. Besides, it had cheered him up when he'd been feeling miserable, what better reason then that did he need to give it a second chance? "Of course i'm sure! We might have had a few misunderstandings...but I still think we'd make a good team." he said with a smile, pulling out a simple pokeball. Without a second thought Zac tossed the pokeball towards the mantine. Before the ball could even come close to the mantine though, the strange seel leapt into its path. He'd intended to do a bad ass spin in the air and with his tail send the pokeball back at Zac. However even though he looked cool, the seel wasn't quite that agile. Instead of knocking the pokeball back, it hit the blubbery water type in the gut. At once the seel was sucked into the pokeball, which oddly enough rocked back and forth a single time while in the air, before falling to the ground. Oblivious to the fact he'd just performed his first ever Critical Capture, Zac retrieved the pokeball, with a rather blank look on his face. What the heck had he just captured? Blinking Zac slowly tossed the pokeball, releasing his newly caught...thing. Pulling out his pokedex, Zac pointed it at the weird sunglass wearing creature. Sl th s ln pkmn Sl hnts fr pr n th frgd s ndrnth shts f c. Whn t nds t brth, t pnchs hl thrgh th c wth th shrpl prtrdng sctn f ts hd. "..." After hearing his pokedex blurt out what sounded like jibberish, Zac shrugged. The thing never seemed to work right, maybe he should get it fixed one day. His attention shifted back to the weird thing he just caught which was staring at him rather intensely, which was impressive considering he couldn't even see its eyes. Smiling Zac leaned over, and placed a hand on its head. "I name you...Marshmallow!" he declared, a look of absolute seriousness on his face. For a moment both Seel and Trainer stared at each other, neither moving an inch. Then, abruptly, the seel exploded in a flurry of motion. <I ain't no Marshmallow!> he bellowed, swaying side to side before balancing on his tail, front flippers crossed. <I'm a defender, a protector, nah man my name is Mars.>"Uh...okay, Mars it is." Zac replied somewhat uncertainly, before turning back around, another pokeball in hand. Now at last it was time to catch this mantine. <Hold up, hold up! You can't just catch this thing man, it's dangerous! Didn't you see it try to kill you? I did, that was some serious shit my brother. Nah stick with me and lets keep as far from this psycho as possible!>Frowning Zac stared at the seel, then over at the mantine. The new thing seemed really angry, though it did have a few good points. However he did like this mantine, but it seemed like it didn't feel worthy of going with him, and that just wasn't going to work.e wa "I got it! Hey Mantine, how about a friendly battle? You against uh, Mars. If you put up a good fight, win or lose, i'll let you join me!" he declared grinning from ear to ear. He could test out a new pokemon, and make mantine feel better! What an awesome plan. <Heh, like this thing can beat me.> Mars muttered, glaring over at the hazardous creature, suspiciously. It might be one of natures many killers, but unlike this human, he wasn't scared of a littlle water.

The Mantine quickly gave the Seel a very odd look when she saw the pokemon get all "ghetto" on her and she had no idea how to handle this at all. >Uh... dot dot dot. Um...< She was absolutely speechless after hearing the Seel speak and honestly did not know what to do at all. >You seriously want to battle to test me out? Alright fine!< She said although she was a bit hesitant as she was more of a freelancer, not a fighter. And because of that, she started off with her first move, something that wouldn't hurt at all and would only cause a laugh from her own part... In an instant she sent a supersonic wave at the seel hoping to mess with it's head a little and make it speak coherently. >Hopefully you'll be smarter after this!< She giggled after sending the waves. ::Mantine:: Level 13 | Female Attacks: Psybeam, Bullet Seed, Signal Beam, Tackle, Bubble, Supersonic, Bubblebeam, Headbutt Personality: Very carefree. (ooc: I'm using random.org for the confusion. Coin toss for if confusion damages me and a random number 1-4 for duration~)
"Alright mars stab it with your horn!...uh, gently..."Zac called out, feeling somewhat conflicted in this fight. After all if this way the mantine of his dreams, so beating the crap out of was kind of unusual. None the less Zac tried to encourage Mars anyways, even if he still knew next to nothing about that thing.
Despite Zac's conflicted loyalties, Mars really didn't care. The fact he'd been captured sucked, but he was the defender of innocents, and as long as he could defeat this vile creature and save this trainer from death, then he'd fight.
Charging forward the Seel dove head first through the supersonic attack and into the water. Though he was feeling a little dizzy, the cool water was like a slap in the face, keeping him focused on the task at hand.
From under the water, Mars swam up in an attempt to headbutt the mantine below. He wasn't about to try and stab the mantine though. After all he could puncture a lung or a kidney! Besides, blood in the water meant sharpedo's and carvannha, which meant he'd have to evacuate the pond...somehow.
Hit by Supersonic! (Confused 1/4)Confused! @_@; Mars used headbutt on Mantine!
