Oddish sat there in the place he was stuck in for a moment, waiting to see if anyone could have heard him from where he was. Indeed, someone did hear him eventually, but said company walked away. >WHAT? WAIT! DON'T GO! HELP!< He wailed louder, hoping to catch the animal's attention once again, to persuade it to come back for him. He would have tried to figure out how to help him, but why didn't he in the first place?
>HELP! I NEED SOMEBODY HELP!< He knew that those were the lyrics to a song, but what was worse was that there was a possibility of someone not hearing him at all. Then, and idea struck him. His leaves started to glow a light shade of pink, before a sweet scent wafted off of his leaves like smoke, hopefully heading over to the neighboring people.

I keep dreaming you'll be with me and you'll never go~ Sōjun Kuchiki ~ Stop breathing if I don't see you anymore What smelled remarkably similar to cherry blossoms in the crisp winter air drifted past Sōjun. It definitely attracted his attention. Lifting his head up, he inhaled the inviting scent, swallowing the congregation of saliva that gathered in his mouth. The scent was soothing, and he felt Ace twitch in slumber beneath his slender porcelain fingers. The weeds continued to sing in the early morning breeze and Sōjun rose, picking Ace up in his arms and motioning his head towards Lexi. Was he going to find the source of the aroma? This thought was proved when Sōjun recalled Lexi and silently tracked the aroma with his nose, fixated on locating whatever was producing it. It was an old trick, but it worked, he found. Sometimes he would walk into things, but the strength of it told him that it was close. Seconds later he was towering over the patch of weeds, head inclined down as he crouched and let his hand glide over the fake foliage in unsatisfied curiosity. A call reached his ears and he gasped, gently lowering Ace down onto the floor and scooping his hands into the mud carefully. What he found surprised him. It was a small, round form that partially resembled a turnip, but one that felt strangely alive. Through his soft skin, a pulse radiated, and he found that whatever this was seemed distressed. He wasn’t sure why he received that reaction, but it just felt as though whatever it was needed help. “Hold on,” he said calmly, “I’ll get you out.” The earth was wet and oozed, and he felt glad but slightly unsure about his rolled up sleeves. It sucked at his skin obnoxiously loud and restrained his wrists from moving too quickly. Settling for pulling whatever was beneath out of the ground, he attempted to curl his fingers around the object and gently twist it free of it’s grave. Sōjun’s actions wouldn’t harm the creature, of course, but it might cause him a bit of discomfort. He was left hoping that the creature was alright, and wasn’t harmed in any way. Suddenly he felt slightly guilty; he’d sensed the creature before, and he’d failed to notice it. It seemed to be harder to free this creature than he’d thought. Sōjun wasn’t very strong, but he knew someone that might be able to help. Releasing one hand, he reached back a muddy hand to his bag and plucked out a ball, feeling the tip, before he placed it back and reached for another. Not that one, he noted. He’d stuck stickers on them which identified each ball from it’s similar counterpart. It was simple and perhaps took a bit of time, but it helped. When he reached the right ball a second later, he released a crimson puppy adorned beautifully with ebony tiger-like stripes just in front of him, to the side of the trapped creature. He had to raise his hand to stop the pup before she started rambling, and smiled warmly. “Growlie, I need you to help me dig. There’s something trapped in here.” Growlie, as she’d been titled, yipped excitedly and thrust her nose against the ground, snuffling the miniature marshland with curiosity. Her cheek brushed against her trainer’s hand and she inhaled the scent of the weed before barking and plunging two sets of claws into the earth. Marks scored the ground as she dug, just like her friend had suggested, but she was grinning from ear to ear all the while. “I didn’t think when you found me that you’d let me play in the mud!” Growlie yapped, clearly pleased with her newfound freedom. Of course being crammed in a cage would do that to you. “I mean the last time I played in the mud, I got caught by my ma and pa, and they were so annoyed with me because I stunk up the den and everything, and of course that’s when I was found by that weird lady behind the counter and she chased me all over the place and everything and she couldn’t catch me and it took her ages just to get the net! She gave up five times and almost sixth but I felt really sorry for her and everything and I don’t mean ‘aww’ sorry I mean ‘that’s so sad’ sorry and so I let her catch me but she didn’t let me go and I wondered why she wouldn’t let me go afterwards because I thought this was a game!” Sōjun’s eyes glittered with confusion. Growlie was talking so quickly and without pausing, he wondered how she was even breathing. She drew in a loud, dramatic breath and continued. “And of course my sister was really annoyed and then the Sheep said to him, ‘hey, you should really watch where you fling that pizza, my good fellow!’ and he was wearing a broken pair of glasses with only one part of the shiny stuff, you know? Anyway, so the Sheep was messing about and I was chasing him up and down the stairs like a Meowth after a laser pointer, and he was squealing and everything. It was so funny!” Somehow he had a feeling that not all of her stories were factual. Perhaps some were made up or exaggerated, he decided, and chuckled as she went on and on. Ace growled in his sleep and Growlie stopped as a large chunk of earth clung to her paws. The puppy’s paws squelched against the mush and she squealed as she fell forward, plonking face first into the hole she’d just dug. Sojun plucked her out of the hole and shook his head as she shook her body, thoughtfully giving him a shower of mud. “Daft pup,” he scolded gently, “I’m going to have to give you a bath later. Now hurry up, let’s free this creature.” Growlie, who was now caked from muzzle to paws in mud, smiled at her trainer, and moved to hopefully free the Oddish with a last, sickly-sounding squelch. “How did this even get wet? I mean everywhere else is dry…” Sojun lowered his head as he gave the Oddish one last tug to hopefully free it. Good point.

All the little Oddish felt was someone start to touch his no-no square. Was he being sexually molested? This was the worst! He struggled to free himself from the perverse hand and got his leaf caught in the dirt, causing it to rip a little. The pain caused him to stop moving all together and when the hand went away he thought he was safe, his leaf bleeding there and causing him to feel woozy. Then, he was released and the digging started, claws hitting his face and finishing ripping off the already mostly gone leaf and sending it flying somewhere. Oddish screamed in anquish as it felt like he was dying. He would never be a beautiful Vileplume now! Never! The clearish blue blood leaked out of the top of his head and spilled all over the ground. He was dying...

I keep dreaming you'll be with me and you'll never go~ Sōjun Kuchiki ~ Stop breathing if I don't see you anymore Growlie wasn’t used to digging stuff up, so when she felt her claws rake over something, she thought it was a stone. But when the scent of blood mingled with the leaves, she realised just how wrong she was, and stopped digging immediately. Her paws were caked in mud and Sōjun was tilting his head, curious as to why she’d stopped digging. The Growlithe swallowed her anxiety and wondered what she was going to tell him. She’d just practically scratched up an Oddish.
Normally the fire type wouldn’t mind but she’d been called out to help the creature, hadn’t she? She coughed away some mud that had gathered about her maw, which conveniently drowned out the Oddish’s wail. She couldn’t tell Sōjun she’d just ripped apart a Grass type, could she? She’d feel very guilty for this transgression later, but to protect Sōjun, she felt it was necessary.
“It’s an egg,” she lied, though the smoothness of her voice surprised and disgusted even herself. Her mouth went dry and her pulse sped up as she told the Trainer a false statement. “Probably a reptile egg,” she carried on, nudging Sōjun away from the hole and guiltily scraping some mud over the Oddish. Oh jeez, may her parents forgive her. “It’s not a Pokémon. The pulsing is it’s heartbeat and we need to leave. I think it’s parents are approaching.”
While Sōjun couldn’t hear anything that suggested Pokémon approaching, he knew that Growlithe, being canine Pokémon, had sharper senses to work with. So when she stated that it was an egg and that they needed to leave it alone, he simply trusted her on that. Perhaps he would regret it later if he found out somehow, but if what she was saying was true, raiding an egg nest was something that he didn’t want to be seen doing.
After a tense moment, and Growlie holding her breath in fear, Sōjun reached for Ace and ordered Growlie to cover up the hole again. She felt extremely guilty and sorry for the Oddish, but it was the right thing to do – at least to her. Perhaps it was selfish on her part, but if Sōjun heard that she’d severely harmed an innocent Pokémon, he might send her back to the place they’d met, and she’d be left wondering when her next meal and walk were going to be. At least here she had freedom and a trainer who cared for her.
Sōjun picked up the sleeping Ace from the ground and walked away from the ‘egg nest’, believing Growlie’s story entirely. “I’m sorry,” she whispered down at the covered up hole, “I’m so, so sorry...” “Are you sure that was the right thing to have done?” A Woobat had flown over from the gorse nearby and eyed the puppy Pokémon. Growlie turned to it with tears threatening to spill down her eyes. The she-bat stole a passive glance at the gravesite, should it even be deemed that, with a mild interest.
Sōjun was still in earshot, so Growlie found herself yet again having to lie. “Yes,” she croaked bitterly after a slight hesitation, praying that her trainer would not hear her silent confession to the Woobat. Her eyes were aimed low, and head drooping miserably with defeat; she shouldered her way over the mud and followed her Trainer through the bushes. Woobat, interested in the Trainer and his Pokémon, followed them through. Her nose glowed briefly and the bushes shifted just as they left the clearing, as if something had passed through.
When the group paused at the stream for Sōjun to check on Ace and for a quick bath, Growlithe plunged her forepaws into a puddle and desperately started licking her paws, trying to get the aftertaste of blood washed away. No matter how much she cleaned herself, though, it still felt like she was covered in the Oddish’s blood, and she forced an excited bark when Sōjun started walking down the path again, his skin cleaned and clothes changed. She was at his heel, leading him through the forest along the path with the Woobat watching curiously from the air. This would be interesting...

Despite his best efforts, it seemed as though there was no hope for the little guy. The Growlithe hadn't completely buried him though as he watched with tears in his eyes the dirt pile up around him. It wasn't just going to leave him here like this was it? She was going to tell her trainer right? And get him some help right? He didn't want to die here, all alone. His body released a continuous stream of Sweet Scent. Maybe if he could get the trainer's attention again he would come back. Please oh please let him come back. <...save me... please?>

I keep dreaming you'll be with me and you'll never go~ Sōjun Kuchiki ~ Stop breathing if I don't see you anymore Growlie had thought that it was all over – that she could relax. The Oddish was dead, and Sōjun didn’t know anything about it. She’d succeeded, right? But then her sensitive nose picked up the scent of the Oddish. It was still alive, and a voice that was barely a whisper tormented her ears. Save me please. Save me please. Save me please.
She choked out a cry and whimpered, flattening her paws over her ears and trembling against the ground, tears streaming down her cheeks. Sōjun was by her side in an instant, running a hand through her mane. “Growlie,” he whispered quietly, crouched down on the path. Woobat silently observed from above, though she could smell the same scent that was taunting the fire type constantly.
“I can’t do this,” Growlie sobbed, spinning on her heel and charging back towards the Oddish. When she reached the hole, she plunged her claws back into the earth – this time away from the Oddish – and clamped her maw around it’s body. Her grip about the grass type was gentle, and she gave the Oddish a swift tug that freed the grass type. She watched the grass type, panting heavily, and lay him down on the ground. “I’m sorry, I’m really, really sorry!” She begged desperately, her fur ragged and soaked in mud yet again.
Woobat was the one who helped Sōjun reach the clearing once more, with Ace starting to stir in his grasp. He crouched down beside the two Pokémon and reached into his bag, pulling out an Oran berry and offering it to the Oddish. “Eat this,” he instructed the wild Pokémon, a frown upon his face. “You’re going to be alright,” the blind man reassured the grass type. Usually he wouldn’t make promises that had a chance of not being kept, yet he felt that the Oddish had received quite the scare. Removing Ace from the lavender-scented ‘futon’ that had been made from a folded robe, he rested the Oddish on it and made a small nest for the Pokémon.

The Oddish thought it was his last time on earth. He struggled to maintain consciousnesses. He thought it was the end now. He waited to see the light. He saw the light, however, it wasn't the one he was expecting. He was still breathing, which was odd considering he was dead. He also smelled the air...feeling the sun and someone grabbing him from his grave. Being too scared of what was happening the Oddish said nothing, nor did he open his eyes, as he was dragged out of the grave.
He waited a few seconds before opening his eyes. Slowly but surely the black orbs blinked in confusion. Wasn't he supposed to be dead by now? He then felt something placed near him. He squinted his eyes, trying to focus. It was a berry of some kind. He looked at it a bit more carefully and noticed it was an oran berry. He was still weak, he also was a bit light headed from the lack of air, thus, he couldn't hear well. He heard mumbles of something and wondered if they were friendly. He weakly took the berry in his mouth and chewed. He then felt himself being wrapped in something smooth and soft. Was he being taken care of by someone? Hmmm...

I keep dreaming you'll be with me and you'll never go~ Sōjun Kuchiki ~ Stop breathing if I don't see you anymore Once Sōjun had taken hold of the Oddish, Growlie backed up and sat down, refusing to look at the creature she’d almost killed. The Oddish nibbled on the oran berry and Sōjun continued to cradle the muddy Oddish in his arms. It was also then, once the Oddish had consumed the item, that Ace’s blood-hued eyes flicked open and he rolled onto his belly with a yawn. He glanced around for a moment before eyeing the Oddish, who was lying in his Trainer’s arms. Beside him, a Growlithe and Woobat were watching the situation, though the Growlithe looked somewhat upset.
“Yo,” Carvanha eyed the two, who he assumed were friendly. “What’s going on?” His question was met with silence, and his eyes slanted down. “I asked what happened! Don’t ignore me damn it!”
“Ace,” Sōjun turned his attention toward the dual type. “Keep your voice down, will you?” Ace opened his mouth to protest, but then hesitated and flopped over to his tamer. “He needs to rest. Gather the rest of the Pokémon and let’s go.” Ace was surprised at the stern tone in the blind man’s voice, and decided it would be best to obey him. Turning back to the Growlithe and Woobat, he inclined his head towards Sōjun and then jumped up into his tamer’s arm, making sure he wasn’t in the way of the Oddish.
Woobat, rather than follow by air, clamped down on the Growlithe’s back and folded in her wings contently, simply watching as she usually did. Growlie followed at Sōjun’s heel, her head low, and whimpered occasionally. Now he knew, she realised, and she was sure to be cast out from his team...

I keep dreaming you'll be with me and you'll never go~ Sōjun Kuchiki ~ Stop breathing if I don't see you anymore Sōjun may be blind, but he wasn’t deaf by any means. When the Pidgey had flown overhead, he’d heard the beating of wings and tightened his grip on the injured grass type. However, when the Pidgey swooped with talons extended to capture the Oddish, Sōjun turned and blocked the swoop, grunting as talons stuck into his arm. Ace was immediately rushing forward with a shout of “BASTARD!”, attempting to protect his trainer.
Blue, who pushed off the Growlithe’s back, immediately blocked Ace from attacking the Pidgey. “If you attack the Pidgey you’ll only hurt him further. Allow me.” The Woobat’s heart-shaped nose pulsed as she attempted to use Confusion on the Pidgey. Hopefully the flying type’s talons would not cause an infection. Growlithe’s claws dug into the ground as she smelled her Trainer’s blood and she growled, feeling a build up of power rising in her chest. She wanted to attack and get the Pidgey away from her friend, but she knew that Blue had a point. If she did she might end up harming Sōjun inadvertently.
“Stay back, Ace,” Sōjun said as the talons left his back. Blood gushed out, though whether it was from the Pidgey just letting go or the Confusion from the Woobat, he had no idea. He shook off the pain and backed behind his team, clutching the Oddish in his hand. “Let the others get some training, won’t you? I sense we have a new friend,” he tilted his head, referring to Blue. “Would you like to fight this battle on your own?”
“I would like nothing less,” Blue said calmly, with almost an aura of cold radiating from her voice. “Please do not interfere, lest you insult my pride.” Ace was itching to sink his teeth into the Pidgey, but decided that it would be better to protect Sōjun and the Oddish. Hell knows where the daft grass thing came from – Ace didn’t like it, for an obvious reason that it was a grass type. While part of him didn’t seem to care if the Oddish was eaten, part of him stubbornly refused to allow the Pidgey to claim a reward after clawing his Trainer. Even if the stupidly kind man blocked the attack with his own form.
“Dumbass,” Ace grumbled to himself, eyeing the Pidgey with undisguised contempt as he jumped into Sōjun’s arms. “We’re gonna have to stitch you up when we’re done with this Pidgey.” Sōjun smiled in a dopey-jovial way and shrugged. Ace hated Sōjun for his trivial ways, and growled, but kept his attention fixed on the bird. If it flew down, it’d be bitten with razor sharp teeth set in jaws that could tear boat hulls apart. And Ace wasn’t in the mood for jokes.

I keep dreaming you'll be with me and you'll never go~ Sōjun Kuchiki ~ Stop breathing if I don't see you anymore Sōjun knew that the Oddish needed immediate treatment and felt the grass type go limp in his arms. Sensing that the Pidgey had hit the ground, he covered the Oddish up so he was kept warm and then tilted his head forward slightly to hear what was going on. It sounded like the move the Woobat had used had hit it’s mark, yet what move that was he was unsure. The scuffling movements of the flying type told him that it was up within a heartbeat, and he heard beating wings that told him that the Woobat was about to be tackled.
“Dodge it! Then use Confusion!” Sōjun called out quickly. Wind sweeping forcefully against fur suggested that Woobat had moved left, where the wind was blowing. He didn’t hear any sign of impact, so he assumed the Woobat had managed to avoid it. And she had; the Woobat had danced out of the way without so much as a word as the Pidgey shot at her. Once more her nose glowed, and a pulse of psychic energy rippled towards the Pidgey, attempting to knock her out of the sky. Perhaps it was a cheap shot, but the Woobat was attempting to damage the Pidgey’s wing to gain an advantage.
The Nidoran had’t gone unnoticed. Growlie’s sharp ear caught the rustle in the bushes and she padded over to the poison type, her tail swishing behind her. “Hey,” she said quietly in greeting. She was still feeling dejected from her attempted abandon of the Oddish. “Wow, you’re a Nidoran, aren’t you? You’re pretty cool. So, are you into battling?” Well the Nidoran had to be interested in battling to some extent, right? Or perhaps he was just passing by and wanted to watch a good show. The Pidgey gave a squawk of exasperation when she flew past the Woobat, whirling around to meet 'eyes' with her. <HUNGRY!> The bird squawked, just before the waves of Confusion took her mind once again. The pain burned through her head, manifesting itself as a headache, then sudden panic and depression. Psychic moves had a way of doing that.
When the horrible bout was all over, the bird took sharp breaths and looked up at her adversary. <Give Oddish!> She demanded with furor. She then took flight once again, aiming for another Tackle at Blue.
The Nidoran was shocked that the Growlithe took interest in him. <I'm.. I'm not cool.> The poisonous creature responded, staring at the dog with wide eyes. <I'm too weak to battle.> He said bluntly, turning his gaze to watch the Pidgey and Woobat battle.

I keep dreaming you'll be with me and you'll never go~ Sōjun Kuchiki ~ Stop breathing if I don't see you anymore Blue didn’t really care that the Pidgey was hungry, or that he wanted the Oddish. Once her mind had probed the Pidgey’s, she pushed negative emotions there, and flew slightly higher up when she’d finished her attack. Again the Pidgey demanded that they allow the Oddish to be eaten, but Blue gave her a gesture of silent refusal. The Tackle hit the bat fairly harshly but she stayed airborne, not quite falling from the sky. This time, she chased after the Pidgey. Her nose started to pulse and she attempted to grab the Pidgey out of midair with her psychic energy.
Growlithe listened to the Nidoran admit that he was too weak to battle, but she didn’t believe that. She thought that he was simply being modest, and looked out at the battle with the Nidoran. It sure was interesting, but she definitely found the poison type cool. “I bet you can fight really well. You’re just being modest,” Growlie wagged her tail behind her, smiling at the male. “Nobody’s ever weak. We all just fight at different levels and have different weak points, and that’s what makes us special. I mean Ace over there,” she nodded to the Carvanha, “Now he’s really strong, and his skin is super hard and he’s really funny when he's mad, but he doesn’t know any water type attacks or anything just yet. I don’t know what Blue is like, but my trainer is so cool!”
She hoped that she wasn’t making all this up. “He treats us all like people from what I've seen so far and takes really good care of us, and massages us and everything. He’s a riot, especially when he’s got that look on his face that means he’s about to make a joke. But he’s blind,” Growlie planted her tail on the ground, “So he needs a lot of help. I help to guide him around, but we’re looking for more team members to have tons of fun with! I bet you’d be welcome with him, too!” A sudden flash of excitement flickered over Growlie’s eyes. “I haven't been with him long but so far he's shown that he doesn’t care how strong you are. He cares about who you are, and that’s what makes you who you are, if that makes sense. I was digging in the mud earlier and he wasn't mad at me for getting all muddy and stuff. Why don’t you come along with us and find out? You’ll love it! And I bet you wouldn’t even have to battle if you didn’t want to! You’ll be like our best friend and everything!"

"Oddish mine!" the pidgey screamed as it was once again struck by the blue pokemon's confusion attack, sending it crashing to the floor, before it managed to get up; no way it was gong to lose to this pokemon. Oh no, it was going to win. "YAAHHHH!" The pidgey screamed as she launched another tackle at the woobat, Meanwhile, the Nidoran was considering what the growlithe was saying before he gave a brief and positive nod; the only thing he was unsure was would he be treated the same. "I'll agree to come with you, but I need to know one thing. Will your trainer treat me the same like the others here by any chance?" he said, cocking his head to the side, waiting for the growlithe to answer him back.

I keep dreaming you'll be with me and you'll never go~ Sōjun Kuchiki ~ Stop breathing if I don't see you anymore Palpable excitement surfaced as the Nidoran agreed, and she didn’t seem bothered about his question. Shuffling her forepaws against the ground, the puppy’s tongue lolled out of her mouth as she panted, her red tongue dancing up and down. “Sure,” Growlie told him, “You’ll be treated however you want! Everyone will be treated with equal care and attention. So you’ll join, right?” This was sure to secure her place on the team again, right? Sōjun hadn’t said anything about her almost abandoning the Oddish, but he wouldn’t kick her off the team for recruiting a new Pokémon, right?
Her ebony eyes flicked onto the man, who was smiling softly with the Oddish lying motionless in his grasp. From the pocket of his robe, he flicked out a fan and redirected air to his face to cool himself. He understood what the Pidgey was after, but he couldn’t just give the injured grass type to the Pidgey. He needed to get it somewhere safe and then stay with it until it woke. This distraction was going to make it difficult, and he needed to leave soon.
A soft grunt told the sightless male that yet again his ally had been struck, but not too harshly. The Woobat fluttered somewhere near his feet and then swirled around him to face the Pidgey again. "Use Confusion again!" The Psychic type yet against pressed forward with her mind, trying to harm the Pidgey and cause her opponent a massive headache.

The Nidoran listened to the Growlithe's thought of mind when he said that he would be treated equally in the team; maybe that would be a better life than living in the wild where you can be beaten up by the older pokemon? "Fine, I'll come along with you. Sounds like life is much better with you lot then in the forest." he said, shuffling over to the trainers side, whilst watching the battle. Once again, the derpy pidgey was once again struck by the confusion attack, but this time as it managed to peel it's self off the floor, it's entire body was completely bruised, and all the pidgey wanted to do was to go to sleep. But no, it had a dinner to get, and it wasn't goingt o leave until it got it. Taking some short run ups, the pidgey jumped in the air an launched itself at the woobat, once again trying to tackle it.

After a few moments of thought, the Nidoran gave a slow nod. "If you say so.." the Nidoran said as it trotted over to the trainer. With a nod of acknowledgement. "I will join your group... if its okay with you." He said, his voice soft and barely audible. He then shuffled back over to the Growlithe, both being four legged animals, he felt almost a kinship with it. "Would you mind showing me the ropes?" he said careful not to sound too needy, "It would be greatly appreciated." Pidgey was hit once again with the Confusion, and this time, it got confused. "WHO ARE YOU? WHERE AM I?" the overzealous Pidgey screeched. She attempted to tackle the fellow flying Pokemon, but that didn't go quite as planned. She was nearing the Woobat, but veered off target right before she hit and went head first into a tree. She slid down a few inches before her wings began doing their job again and she fluttered with a bit of clumsiness toward the Woobat. She was beginning to weaken. I keep dreaming you'll be with me and you'll never go~ Sōjun Kuchiki ~ Stop breathing if I don't see you anymore Sōjun could hear what was going on behind him, and had heard snippets of Growlie’s conversation. She sounded somewhat downcast, he noted, and made a mental reminder to talk to her about that later. But what was it she’d recruited again? A Nidoran? From the sound of it, it was a male. Nidoran were Poison types, he recalled, because he’d always had an interest in them. When the Nidoran’s feet crossed from the bushes to perch at his feet, Sōjun turned and knelt down, smiling at where he assumed the Poison type was.
“I’m Sōjun Kuchiki,” he introduced himself, and paused momentarily to free his left hand, and then rested his hand on the Pokémon’s shoulder. “I’m pleased to meet you. If I heard right, you want to join us? I’m going to press a Pokéball against you. Please don’t be alarmed. Once the capture is complete, I promise I will let you out again, and we can get better acquainted then.” As he said he would, he reached into his pocket and pulled out a Pokéball, and pressed it against the Nidoran male.
“Woobat,” he called once the Nidoran was dealt with, “Are you injured?” Blue, as she was called, made a grunt as the Tackle connected, and seemed to take a bit longer to recover from the attack than the last time. She made a noise that was associated with ‘I’m fine’ and then braced herself again. “Good. Confusion again!” Confusion also had the chance of confusing the opponent, which was a useful side effect. In attempt to make this the case with the Pidgey, she gathered random thoughts that held no connection at all and projected them towards the Pidgey.
“Growlie,” Sōjun crouched down and reached out for the fire type. She pressed her muzzle against his hand and smiled as she felt warmth there. “If the battle does not end soon, would you use your Roar to frighten the Pidgey away?” She nodded once and licked his hand. “And,” her ears perked as he continued, “Don’t worry about it.”
“...Worry about what?” Growlie asked, “I’m not worried about anything.” Another lie! She winced as another transgression left her lips and flattened her ears. Sōjun was silent for a moment, and then turned his head to where she was. “You can tell me when you’re ready,” he murmured, “But I forgive you. For everything. Know that.”

As the male Oddish rested peacefully in his unconscious state, not even threatened by the Pidgey haunting his dreams and threatening to end his life, the battle raged onwards. The shy Nidoran was finding himself making an agreement to join this political sounding blind man, and the Pidgey was being obnoxious as ever in the battle. What would happen next?! Find out!
<You attack spammer!> The Pidgey accused with a whine, trying to duck below the incoming Confusion attack when it suddenly pushed him straight into the nearest tree. His head hurt! Throbbing...throbbing. He slowly slid down the tree with his tiny chest beating so hard from the excitement; he could hardly contain himself.
He still had enough in him to pull off one last trick! Huffing as he walked closer to the Woobat, he raised his wings as high as he could. Flying types were oddly not immune to Sand Attack, so he went ahead and used it on the odd batlike creature with a triumphant cough. Hopefully it would do something, since it was all he had left!
The Nidoran stared at the Pokeball thoughtfully, only occasionally peeking at the battle because he was interested. <Th-They're...so strong.> He commented with impressed eyes, before tapping the Pokeball with his horn, sucking him inside and instantly capturing him. How boring, but hey, it happens.
