I keep dreaming you'll be with me and you'll never go~ Sōjun Kuchiki ~ Stop breathing if I don't see you anymore Granted the capture was so sudden, Sōjun was grateful that Growlie had managed to convince the Nidoran to join him. As he’d promised, he released the purple creature out to watch the remainder of the battle, though there wasn’t much to see really. The Pidgey flew into a tree and the Woobat remained silent, her eyes – existent, just covered by her fur – locked onto her target with a calm carefulness. With too many Pokémon out, Sōjun recalled Ace, who growled as he was sucked into his Luxury Ball, and then pocketed the item.
Nido, being given the invitation, hopped up into his arms and took Ace’s place, while Growlie was content to settle down at his feet. She was slowly building up her voice in case she needed to use Roar, but she felt that the Pidgey maybe didn’t need to be scared off. It looked as though it were weakening. Sand from the Sand Attack got stuck against the fur just in front of her eyes, and while none of it directly struck her cornea, she found that the grit was distorting her vision to some extent. Coughing out some of the sand that had entered her mouth, she squinted to try and get a better look at what was around her, and saw a thin brown shape by the tree.
“C- can I say it...?” Nido Nido looked up at Sōjun nervously, who smiled and nodded. “Use Confusion, Blue!” Nido Nido called. A strange sense of satisfaction flowed over him as the words left his maw, and his lips curled up in a smile. Though she seemed to pause for a moment, considering something, she went ahead with the psychic type attack anyway. She wasn’t spamming the attack, really. It was the only attack that she had that would do much damage. Sōjun lifted his head. Blue? Was that the Woobat’s name? How did the Nidoran know? At least that saved him having to name the Pokémon.
Overhead, the skies had started to become cloudier. The ever growing congregation seemed to be swelling and growing grey with age, which suggested perhaps rain was on its way. Growlie sensed the shift in the atmosphere and gazed up at the skies, willing the sun to come out and warm her fur again, but it seemed as though the sun had fled as well. Discomfort seemed to grow in the fire type as the air temperature around her dropped, and she summoned some fire from within her belly to compensate.

Pokemon encounter ! The Pidgey was tattered, losing her feathers, and generally unamused about how calm the trainer and his pokemon were. It was as though he was no threat at all to them! <HIT ME.> The bird roared in a derpy tone, wishing for this long, dreadful battle to end. It was a wonder he was still conscious after getting hit by all of those Confusions.
And soon, her opponent complied. Yet another strong row of waves rushed at her, engulfing her in psychic power. It felt as though she was experiencing an awful headache, but the pain ended as soon as it started; she was spent, and there was no time for her to say goodnight before she drifted into unconsciousness. ::oddish:: MALE Level 5 Chlorophyll Attacks;; absorb - sweet scent bitter - fidgety - airhead Out of it ::pidgey:: FEMALE Level 5 Keen Eye | Tangled Feet Tackle | Sand Attack Derpy - Incompetent - Sneaky Hit by Confusion! I keep dreaming you'll be with me and you'll never go~ Sōjun Kuchiki ~ Stop breathing if I don't see you anymore With one more Confusion Blue had the Pidgey at her mercy. With the pigeon down, she flew back to Sōjun and perched on his shoulder to recover from the battle. It would take some time, of course, but she was still feeling a bit tired. She didn’t say anything as Growlie grinned at her, and instead simply nodded her thanks for the puppy’s support and closed her eyes to relax.
“Well done, Blue,” Sōjun purred as he walked away from the scene, his lips curved up into a smile and fan flicking trails of wind against his face. As he said that, he paused, and rain started to fall from the heavens above. With swift movements, Sōjun shifted the Pidgey beneath a tree, recalled Growlie and Nido Nido and covered the Oddish with the sleeve of the robe around it. With Blue perched atop his shoulder, he made his way to shelter, and crept inside a small cave as the rainstorm came down around him.
“Where did you come from?” He asked the psychic bat curiously. Being a social fellow, he decided to break the silence, and held the Woobat against his chest to keep her warm. The unique fuzzball seemed quite submissive at being handled, which surprised him, considering she was a wild Pokémon. She hadn’t uttered a sound as they’d moved.
“The forest,” Blue pulled her wings closer against her body and snuggled against the Trainer’s chest. She appreciated the warmth he offered and made his clear by shifting until she was by his throat and relaxing. She could feel bruises forming from where the Pidgey had hit her, and her thin wings slowly buried themselves inside the blue fur that covered her body. “I thought that you were quite interesting, so I decided to follow you. I did not mean to battle on your behalf.”
“Well, I’m grateful that you fought off that Pidgey,” Sōjun smiled, shifting against the cave wall. It was uncomfortable to lean on, he had to admit, but not out loud. “You are quite strong. Have you thought about joining my team?” The Woobat remained silent for a moment. She hadn’t thought about it until now. While she seemed to like the Trainer, she wasn’t sure whether she should give up her freedom for him just yet. She did like the Growlithe though, for some weird reason.
“Perhaps,” she evaded swiftly, closing her eyes beneath the tufts of fur, “But for now I would like to rest.” Sōjun stroked her head gently as a gesture of goodwill and sighed, reaching out his senses towards the Oddish. He could still feel a heartbeat within the Pokémon and sighed, wondering when he would wake up – if at all. The rain was getting heavier and it showed little sign of stopping.

::oddish:: Pokemon encounter ! They weren't alone in the wild storm; several Pokémon considered rainy weather their favorite time to venture forth, especially since many predators ran for cover during this time. One of these species were Buizel, who were usually more common around running water.
This particular specimen was wandering through the forest of route one, struggling to balance on her two feet for an odd reason. To anyone who was watching, it would've looked like she was in a drunken stupor, but that was just the way she walked. She pointed her head directly at the sky, tongue lolling out of her mouth to catch the falling drops. Rain was so delicious. She wished she could have it for dessert all day erry day.
After a while of doing this, she ended up wandering a bit far away from her own home. She blamed it on her poor navigating skills, but it was probably due to the fact that she was looking at the sky the whole time. Moments later, she quit daydreaming and noticed that she was standing right next to a cave. She could see shifting shadows of Pokémon inside, although one was definitely too big to be a Pokémon. Whatever.
<Ey yo guys. C'n I chill with you for a while?> The quirky Buizel asked, staggering into the cave as if she were in a drunken stupor. When she was deep enough to not feel any more droplets falling on her coat, she sat down and shook the ton of extra droplets off. She looked at the Oddish. <Ooh, nice dead weed ya got there. Mind if I eat it?> She grinned lopsidedly in a way that might've suggested that she was joking. It was hard to tell. After all, her tummy rumbled right after she said that.

I keep dreaming you'll be with me and you'll never go~ Sōjun Kuchiki ~ Stop breathing if I don't see you anymore Just before the Buizel arrived, Sōjun had an idea. A few sticks were littered about the cave, as if there had been a nest here before, so he collected them and released Growlie to spit an ember and light a small fire in the cave. He sat a comfortable distance from it, but Blue and the Oddish were still asleep, leaving just him alone. That didn?t last long, because he quickly released the Nidoran back out, so he could get to know the Pok?mon better.
They were about to go into a discussion when the Buizel appeared, staggering into the cave. The hollow walls and crashing noises outside had made Sōjun uneasy. He didn?t like storms much, since hearing was his main way of getting about, but it worked. As soon as Buizel talked, Sōjun flinched, the echoing confusing him greatly. Nido Nido crept closer to his new Triainer, lying across his lap while he held the Oddish.
?You can stay here, but sorry,? Sōjun tilted his head almost in a bird-like manner as the echoes faded. ?This Oddish isn?t food. I have something else you can eat though, if you?d like,? he pulled some Pok?mon food from his bag and blindly offered it in the direction he thought the Buizel was in. Unfortunately he stuck his arm out in the wrong direction, so Nido Nido nudged him with his arm, took the food and put it down before the water type.
Sōjun wasn?t at all comfortable. The cave was mixing up his senses and making him feel something he hadn?t felt in some time ? nervous. Clutching Nido Nido closer to him, he faked a jovial smile and smiled at the Water type that graced his presence. When would the Oddish wake up anyway? Blue shivered slightly as a gust of wind crept into the cave, but it was drowned out by the warmth from the fire.
Feeling shy, Nido Nido flattened his purple form down against his Trainer and sighed as a hand warmly stroked his back. Like Sōjun, his hearing was quite fine, and the timid Pok?mon hated storms with a passion. When a boom of thunder overhead echoed, it made him jump. Sōjun seemed to be adapting quickly, which he guessed relaxed him slightly, but he still couldn?t get rid of the nagging sense of dread in his chest.

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ x ~ x ~ SYNOPSIS :: Sōjun started a fire and released Nido Nido so the two of them could talk. The Buizel was accepted into the cave and given some food - not the Oddish, but both Nido Nido and Sōjun seem disturbed from the storm. The loud bangs and voices echoing around the hollow walls seem to be confusing, intimidating and making Sōjun feel anxious. In turn, this is making Nido Nido feel somewhat defensive. You'd better be careful.

Pokemon encounter ! The Buizel looked a little disappointed when the human said that she couldn't eat the Oddish. But her face returned to normal when the food landed in front of her, cracking a little. Looked like pet food, but whatever. She ate it up, feeling much better. <Ahh, finally something to get rid of my hangover.> The water pokemon remarked, burping loudly after the meal. Did she know any manners?
<But dude, that Oddish's leaves would make for some nice smokin'. I know 'ow to make it.> The Buizel was relentless. <C'mon, you know ya wanna try it!> Truth be told, she would probably resort to violent means to try to take the Oddish. It was a rather plump one, with nice-looking leaves. Besides, it wasn't as though she hadn't killed before.

I keep dreaming you'll be with me and you'll never go~ Sōjun Kuchiki ~ Stop breathing if I don't see you anymore Hangover...? Drugs...? Sōjun was wondering if letting the Buizel stay in here was a good idea. He continued to smile, deciding that it would be prudent to try and disarm the situation before it got any worse. Falling back onto his backup plan – he had made one! – he shifted against the wall and propped up his legs. It hid the Oddish from the Buizel’s sight, and made it look like he wasn’t doing anything but moving. This Grass type was causing him a lot of trouble, and the thought of leaving it had crossed his mind. He wasn’t inclined to look after it, and he wasn’t sure how it would react to his presence once it awoke. When the storm ended, he’d have to just leave it here, if it hadn’t woken up by then.
“Sorry,” his eyes seemed to harden slightly now, and he hid his face behind the fan. The heat of the flames before him was starting to make his porcelain skin almost too hot. “I can’t let you do that.” While the Buizel might not have had a problem with killing an Oddish to satisfy her craving for an elated state of mind, Sōjun didn’t have a problem with resorting to cunning tricks to overwhelm those who threatened what he wanted to defend. In this case, it was the Oddish, and his blue eyes glinted with an almost steel-like quality. Oooh. Would the Buizel test him?
Suddenly his expression turned to one of exaggerated amusement, and he fanned his face while laughing somewhat obnoxiously. His jaw had dropped open and he was grinning widely, eyes closed. He could hear the Buizel’s movements now, because his ear was directly pointed at the otter. “Besides, you don’t want to smoke this Oddish’s leaves. They’re all damaged and dried up! I doubt they’d taste very appealing to someone of your calibre.”
Nido was curiously watching, ears twitching as rain thundered down outside. Beside Sōjun, Growlie was lying, warming him with her fur. She could sense his unease and glanced outside. It was raining very heavily. No way did she want to leave, or want her trainer to go in search of different shelter. The Buizel would be okay, though, if she was chased out. The only problem was that she was a water type, so for Growlie to attack would be an idea lacking in intelligence and tact. No, but she had a different way to get the Buizel out and away from her Trainer.
The Growlithe walked over and stepped her paw in the fire, her tongue lolling out of her mouth as the flames lapped harmlessly at her paw. With a grin on her face, she took a deep breath in and roared, sound waves pulsing from her maw and approaching the Buizel. It was so loud that it would cause the water type – hopefully – to flee, and so without violence. The sound was so deafeningly scary, however, that Sōjun crashed down on his side and covered his head beneath his arms, the Oddish covered beneath the robe as his knee stuck out and covered it.

Not wanting anything to do with the violent Growlithe and the trainer, the drunken Buizel ran right out of the cave. Possibly to an awesome party or something with a few shiny Pokemon she knew. Yeah, she knew the cool crowd. Anyways, back to the warm and cozy scene in the cave.
The Oddish began to stir around as his eyes twitched with signs of life. Slowly he began to stretch open his leaves as he woke up, though he was incredibly dazed and confused. He was so tired and weak as well, especially since he had a near death experience not so long ago, but he didn't exactly remember that right now. <Where am I?> He asked, voice slurring as he leaned against the trainer with derpy eyes.

I keep dreaming you'll be with me and you'll never go~ Sōjun Kuchiki ~ Stop breathing if I don't see you anymore Thankfully the Buizel fled when she roared, and she felt satisfaction that she’d served her trainer in a positive way. When she turned, though, she was surprised to see him on the floor, covering his ears and practically stunned. With a yip, she returned to his side and nosed him up, letting him use her shoulders for support. “I got rid of that scary Buizel,” she said, smiling, her voice conveying her happiness. Sōjun seemed hesitant, but then smiled and ran his hand over her head.
“Thank you,” he said, “But next time, you should warn me, alright?” He looked a bit ruffled that he’d been subjected to that shocking experience, but at least everything had been sorted now. They were alone, and probably better off without the Buizel asking to eat and smoke the Oddish every few seconds. Speaking of the Oddish, Sōjun felt the creature shift on his lap again, and he tilted his head at it, not looking down at it. His eyes stared sightlessly in front of him.
“In a cave,” Sōjun said softly, “You were injured. We’ve been dragging you about for a while now, being chased by Pidgey and Buizel. Are you alright, Oddish?” Of course, he didn’t mention that Growlie had practically mauled the creature by accident. That would just make the situation incredibly awkward. Blue shifted and pulled her wings even closer to her body, but said nothing. Growlie looked quite awkward as the grass type awoke, and crouched down by the fire, her ears flat as she listened for any incoming Pokémon.
“You were quite injured when we found you." Growlie's ears perked up at this, and she glanced to her Trainer in disbelief. Was he covering for her? "Were you attacked, by any chance?" He wasn't really lying. The Oddish had been wounded by Growlie, and then he'd been able to free him from the earthy prison. Growlie had lied to him first, and he'd purposely trusted that her instincts to save a fellow Pokemon would have kicked in and made her go back. Sōjun wasn't wanting to capture this Oddish. Now that it had woken - probably from Growlie's Roar - he would stay with it until either it left or was strong enough to move about on its own.
Outside, the storm was growing colder and more aggressive. The brunt of it was harsh, so he wouldn't be able to leave anyway. He couldn't just kick out the Oddish like he had the Buizel, either, so he was pretty much stuck with it. Oh well. If it tried to cause any trouble or make Growlie feel even worse than she already felt, he'd just have to deal with it the best way he knew how - making light of the situation and joking about other things. His pulse sped up slightly as another rumble of thunder echoed overhead and he sighed, pulling Nido Nido and Growlie closer to him. Being with his friends reassured him. He hated being alone.

I keep dreaming you'll be with me and you'll never go~ Sōjun Kuchiki ~ Stop breathing if I don't see you anymore “...Where am I? Who are you...?”
Growlie’s ears twitched and she delved inadvertently into her memories of her time at the Pokémon shop. Those words echoed in her mind so much that she didn’t realise she’d zoned out until Sōjun’s hand gliding down her back snapped her out of her thoughts. There’d been a Pichu who she’d affectionately nickname ‘Uki’ at the shop. SHIT. She had to go back for him! Her pulse sped up and she became restless as Sōjun started to converse with the Oddish. As bad as the felt, she had to go back for her friend.
“Oh, me?” Sōjun hid his face behind the fan slyly, “I’m but a simple Pokémon Trainer who passed by and decided to help out an injured Pokémon.” His voice was very jovial, almost sarcastic, but not completely. “Anyway, we have to get going soon, so-“
“Sōjun!” His head tilted as Growlie inclined her head outside and said urgently, “The storm is going down! I have to go somewhere!” The storm had gone down so quickly? If Sōjun had a watch, he’d have checked it to see how long it had gone on. It seemed like they’d been there for about an hour or so. But how was that possible? Time had flown so quickly...
“Hold on, Growlie,” Sōjun rose, his movements waking up Blue, who unravelled her wings from her body and took to the air, alert. Nido Nido crept out from his hiding place and started to kick dirt over the fire. Sōjun placed the Oddish down on the ground, making sure he was comfortable, and put down some food for the grass type to help regain his strength. “I’m sorry; we’re going to need to leave. You’ll be safe here.”

I keep dreaming you'll be with me and you'll never go~ Sōjun Kuchiki ~ Stop breathing if I don't see you anymore "Ah, so eventually..." The conversation seemed to be fairly negative. Sōjun’s trademark smile was gone as he carried Jūshirō down the path. The Pichu was wrapped up in a silky indigo scarf with yellow specks that seemed to resemble the night sky. Jūshirō – or Uki as his nickname went by – was huddled close to the Trainer for warmth. The storm had pretty much blown over now, though another might soon start. Growlie was at Sōjun’s side, a collar and leash attaching the fire type to her trainer, and she calmly padded through the forest, looking for anything that might cause him harm.
“Yes,” Uki revealed, leaning back into Sōjun’s soft embrace. After being in that cage for a long time, he’d almost forgotten how the warmth of another could reassure one so much. Many times after his sleepless night, his eyes had started to droop, as though he were trying not to fall asleep. But it was hard. “I’m surprised that you found such a nice Trainer, Growlie,” he added, “I thought that I’d never see you again.”
“Sōjun is a nice man,” Growlie yipped excitedly, almost dancing like a Ponyta in Dressage. “You’ll like him. So far we saved an Oddish and fought a Pidgey and braved a storm in a cave where a Buizel tried to eat the Oddish! He let me play in the mud and everything, and nobody usually does that, because y’know, I mean they don’t want to clean up after you and everything, so-” “I’m a very patient man, Growlie,” Sōjun flicked his fan shut and followed her lead down the path. “I’d like to say that you can’t really get me angry, Jūshirō.”
“That’s good,” Uki smiled. He felt better now in the fresh air, even if it was a bit cold. He snuggled down into the scarf and sighed. His fur, as it rubbed together, crackled like static. “Well, I hope I can meet the rest of your team soon. Friendship is always a good thing.”

Pokemon encounter ! Up further ahead, a Minccino was busy at work painting the passing storm. Contrasting with the sunlight that was pouring in from some places, as well as the resplendent rainbow that just appeared, it was going to be a huge success. Well, it would've been a huge success - if the Pokémon wasn't so terrible at painting.
Her canvas, a dried piece of bark, was coated in random blotches of paint. She was trying to go for a more abstract effect inspired by another artist, but she failed to realize that it actually had to look like the storm. Now she was just randomly fingerpainting.
After just a few seconds of painting, she observed her "masterpiece," then clapped for herself. <Muy magnifique!> She exclaimed, smashing together two languages without a second thought. <Moi masteurpiece vill be a yuge zuccess!> .. And now she was matching up completely different accents, thinking that she seemed more like an artist doing it.
Noticing that a trainer was coming up the path, she picked up the work and tried to show it to them. <Vat are your thoughts on my art!?> She exclaimed excitedly.

Should he tell the Minccino that he couldn't actually see her picture, or should he say it was beautiful and try to make an excuse to escape? 'No,' he thought, 'I'd better not insult it.'
"I'm blind" he said instead, but quickly went into, "But I'm sure it's very beautiful." Thank the stars he didn't ask 'Isn't it, guys?', because both Growlie and Nido Nido would have no idea what to respond with. The two cast a glance at each other and smiled at the Minccino. "Isn't it, Growlie? Nido?" DAMN IT ALL. Nido Nido forced himself to nod, though he had no fucking clue what the 'art' was meant to be. It looked like something that a newborn would do.
"Ah, you should show the world your art," Jūshirō was smiling, though somewhat awkwardly. He didn't like to lie to others. His slightly pale fur shifted as he buried himself deeper into the scarf and away from the cold air around him. Growlie suddenly had a good idea. The puppy Pokémon approached the Minccino and smiled, her tongue lolling out of her mouth.
"We should battle," she said, and before the normal type could respond, she'd already spun around and kicked out twice at the Minccino. The idea of battling excited her so much that she forgot about her collar, and the leash was whipped out of her Trainer's hand so suddenly that he yelped with surprise. "Sorry, Sōjun," Growlie turned back to her trainer and wriggled out of the loose collar, and wagged her tail as she faced her opponent.

Level 6 | Female Cute Charm || Technician Pound | Growl Immature - Attention lover - Dilettante - Utterly talentless - Friendly - Fakes accents hit with double kick (SE) used growl "Blind?" She said in a small, embarrassed, high pitched tone. Her paws flew to her mouth and she covered her mouth and her cheeks, which were turning a bright red very quickly. She clenched her picture tightly in one of her paws, crunching it up a bit between her claws and her face. "I'm sorry! I didn't know!" Well this was easy one of the most awkward situations she'd ever been in! At least this trainer wasn't making it anymore awkward. He was actually really nice.
His Growlith on the other hand was a bit annoying. The double kick attack struck her blindly and she was surprised when, suddenly, she was hurting and on the ground. Her picture fell in the dust and became very dirty. She was upset. She pushed herself up onto her hands and growled in her direction. "Hey! YOU RUINED IT!" She crumpled the picture up in her paws and threw it towards the fire type.

I keep dreaming you'll be with me and you'll never go~ Sōjun Kuchiki ~ Stop breathing if I don't see you anymore Sōjun chuckled well naturedly when the realisation that he was blind dawned upon the Minccino. Awkward situation, granted, but it had happened before with other little kids. Not often, because he hadn’t travelled much from his hometown of Ile de Glace. This was actually the first time he’d left his hometown, and he bet his parents were worried about him. But he had Pokémon with him, and Trainers were meant to set out on an adventure at ten years of age. Sōjun had long since passed that mark.
“It’s alright, you didn't know.” He reassured the Minccino, though his hand was groping for the leash again. Nido Nido went and retrieved the item, but it was of little use now that Growlie had wormed her way out of it. “What’s going on here? Growlie?” Suddenly the Minccino shouted out. Oh no, what had Growlie done? “Growlie, what are you doing?”
“She’s battling the Minccino,” Jūshirō reported quietly. Sōjun curled his slender fingers around the leash and, after a moment, found the harness, but by that time Growlie was wagging her tail happily at the excitement. “Watch your step!” Sōjun pulled his foot back as Growlie returned to his side, skidding in the dust a bit. Her rump knocked into his leg harmlessly, but he still wasn’t sure what was going on.
“Uh,” Sōjun grimaced. What did Growlie know, exactly? He hadn’t had much time to check what her move set was. Truthfully he hadn’t thought that Growlie would even want to battle, but it seemed he was wrong. Reaching into his bag, he pulled out the voice-activated Pokédex and flicked it open. Growlie suddenly darted away from him, and something hard knocked into his leg. He didn’t jump, but simply backed up a bit, shielding the leg that had just been hit.
Jūshirō read off the attacks that the Pokédex announced Growlie had, and Sōjun bit his lip. “I’m sorry that she ruined your painting. I’m sure it really was lovely,” he said, “No use dawdling. I guess we should battle... If you don’t want to, that’s fine, just say so, if you please. Ah, Growlie, use... Double Kick, was it?”
Growlie barked, “Sorry I messed up your painting,” and darted forward, trying to kick the normal type again. “I really liked it actually. It reminded me of this time when I was messing about in the mud as a really young puppy and I walked into my family’s den with mud like EVERYWHERE and she got really annoyed and everything. I was caked from head to toe and she had to wash me in a stream and it wasn’t fun at all!”
Jūshirō "Uki" Ukitake007 & Male Growlie007 & Female -1 AttackUsed Double Kick on Minccino! Nido Nido006 & Male ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ x ~SYNOPSIS :: Sōjun accepted the Minccino's apology good naturedly and without being offended. Growlie, having broken free from her harness, was affected by the growl but moved out of the way of the crumpled up painting. It hit Sōjun's leg instead, and he, though he offers to stop battling if the Minccino wants, ordered Growlie to use Double Kick again. Level 6 | Female Cute Charm || Technician Pound | Growl Immature - Attention lover - Dilettante - Utterly talentless - Friendly - Fakes accents hit with double kick (SE) used growl & pound She might have liked to hear Growlie's story and learn just how her painting moved the fire type to remember things. It would have actually made her feel really good. But she was a bit busy battling, and was still upset that her picture was ruined. She wasn't able to forgive so quickly. Tears ran down the grey fur on her cheeks while enduring another double kick attack. Fine. Battle. "Oh I'm worthless at this..." She muttered to herself, a light french accent on her voice. She growled again at the Growlithe, trying to curl her lip up over her teeth and look fierce.
"For art!" She shouted out and ran foreword on all four of her legs to pick up speed. When she got close to Growlie she stood up and flung her body foreword in order to pound on the fire type. Her attack was expertly executed, aided by her technician ability its power would be increased.

I keep dreaming you'll be with me and you'll never go~ Sōjun Kuchiki ~ Stop breathing if I don't see you anymore Uki stifled a cough and blinked a set of tired eyes over at the growing battle. He was so tired... He just wanted to curl up in the warmth of the scarf and drift off into peaceful oblivion, where his dreams would take him away into fields of beauty and warmth. In a sense, that was what he liked about Growlie. She was pretty much carefree; a social pup who had so much of a life to live. Without realising it, he smiled warmly, sighing. He wished he could be like that so much, but unfortunately life had chosen a different path for him. One that would soon come to an end, it seemed. He wasn’t to live as long as the others, but he wanted to make sure that he made a damn good difference on other people while he could.
“You’re doing a good job,” Uki encouraged the Minccino soundly, trying to make sure that she fought with as much confidence as she could muster. “Don’t start degrading yourself,” he said, hoping he didn’t sound as tired as he felt. After being cooped up in a cage and having barely any sleep the previous night, he had a reason to be tired, and he slowly went limp as he fell asleep. He didn’t want to, but he had slipped into the dream realm before he had even realised it.
Growlie lowered herself onto all fours, her belly brushing the ground as she took the Tackle attack. She’d heard the Growl, and decided to try and imitate the snarl. She rose, puffing out her chest fur and parting her jaws to reveal sharp teeth, and she growled loudly. It seemed to have the same effect as a growl, but it wasn’t quite. This was Growlie’s ability Intimidate, and it seems as though it had just activated! “Growlie, use Double Kick!” Sōjun called, and the puppy Pokémon yapped excitedly as she lunged for the Minccino, trying to kick her with both hind paws.
Nido Nido was simply watching from beside Sōjun, wondering how they could be so calm and confident. Sure the Minccino didn’t seem like a bad Pokémon but there was no way he would be able to just stand there and take attacks. He was sure that Growlie could beat the Minccino, but felt nervous that he wasn’t battling just yet. It felt like he’d just been walking about taking up space. He needed to get a move on!

::minccino:: Pokemon encounter ! The Minccino was trying her hardest, but getting pummeled in the face by three double kicks in the row was pretty damaging for a normal type like her. Factor in the fact that she was less experienced than her fiery opponent and you had a poor fainted chinchilla.
So when the Growlithe bucked at her again with those tough paws, she toppled backwards, hardly finding the strength to go on. A cough left her bruised chest. <Oh, vhy me? I vish I could revolutionize the vorld with my art!> She wept more loudly than before, her accents going out of control. <Maybe someday I'll make zometing zo beautiful zat your vision returns to you,> She wished towards the blind trainer before letting her head fall back to the ground, clearly unable to battle. ::minccino:: Level 6 | Female Cute Charm || Technician Pound | Growl Immature - Attention lover - Dilettante - Utterly talentless - Friendly - Fakes accents Hit by Double Kick (SE)! Fainted! Growlie gains 1 level. Capture may be attempted.

I keep dreaming you'll be with me and you'll never go~ Sōjun Kuchiki ~ Stop breathing if I don't see you anymore Well that was finished quite quickly, he realized. He wasn’t sure what level the Minccino was at but he felt pleased that Growlie’s first attempt at combat had been pulled off with success. When the puppy returned to his side, he crouched down and ruffled a hand through her fur, his actions congratulatory, and nodded in approval. Taking a gentle hold of her fur, he followed her over to the fallen Minccino and reached out until a hand pressed against her grey fur. The creature was still alive he realized with pleasure, and it hadn’t been hurt too badly it seemed.
He sat with her awhile, simply cradling the Minccino in his lap, and waited for signs that she would awake. Uki was feeling good enough to run around with Growlie and warm his own muscles up and Nido Nido was just crouched by his side. “You’re very quiet,” Sōjun noted to the poison type casually. Because he himself had been quiet and bullied at one point Sōjun had become quite observant, and it seemed to him like this was a trait that Nido Nido also held. It would be useful in the future and he voiced this to the Poison type, who he felt relax slightly beneath his hand.
“I think that we should capture this Minccino,” the Kuchiki murmured to the Nidoran. “What do you think? Do you think she’d make a good team member?” He was attempting to make the Nidoran’s opinion feel valued, which would help him to gain confidence in the long run. “Or do you think we should wait and find something better?”
“Well,” Nido began shyly, “I think she would make a good team mate and I think the others share that thought, but…” Sōjun smiled encouragingly as the Nidoran hesitated at the other part of his thought trail. “If we try to recruit too many at once, it’ll take a long time to train them all… And we just gained two more, and your friend Ace doesn’t even know about me. Or at least I don’t think he does…”
“Hm,” Sōjun’s lips pursed in fake - but surprisingly convincing consideration. All of these things had already crossed his mind, but he still wanted to make the Nidoran feel like he was intelligent. Good things came from self-sacrifice, he had learned, as well as some bad. “That is a very good argument,” the raven-haired male scratched behind Nido’s ear which instantly made the poison type tense and arch into the touch fondly. “What if I captured it and stored it for now, and then introduced her later?”
Feeling more confident than usual, Nido Nido nodded and rubbed his cheek against the soft-skinned hand that tamed him. “That would be a good idea,” he murmured, “And you get more information for that strange thing you held.” Sōjun nodded, and readied a Pokeball. Alright, he would try to capture it. If he did, he’d send it to the PC for a while to train the rest of his team. Silently he pressed it against the furry creature's head, and waited for the results...
Jūshirō "Uki" Ukitake007 & Male Growlie008 & Female Nido Nido006 & Male ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ x ~SYNOPSIS :: Sōjun and Nido Nido basically converse about whether they should try and capture the Minccino.
