The door let out a long groan as it was slowly slid open. The darkness in the room was blinding, the Sentret had to rub its eyes a couple of times before realizing that it couldn't see through the shield. <I-I hope you are right. And that we don't get eaten, actually...I want a lot of things. > The Pokémon muttered, clinging to Jay's hand as they approached the room. Letting Jay lead the way, of course. Soon after that happened, the door slammed behind them. Now everything in the room was pitch black, all of their senses were heightened as a scuttling across the tiled floor echoed into their ears. The Sentret whimpered in response, but was waiting for something else to happen. "Hoooo....Hoooo..." A voice echoed around the room, its eyes glowing red so they ere the only things that could be seen. The voice and eyes were both hypnotic, and trying to put the Sentret and Jay into some kind of trance. Swaying left and right, the normal type Pokémon began to slide into whatever phase this monster wanted it to go into. Much like a drunkard, it began to babble nonsense. <Monster ate my choo-choo...Why is daddy on top of the train? WHEEEEE! BATMANZ!> It shouted, before falling to the ground, asleep.

Jay picked up the Sentret. "It's going to be fine." She was a littled scared at the darkness. When the red eyes shone in the dark Jay jumped in alarm. She held the pokemon closer, afraid that the monster might attack them. Jay dropped the pokeball and an Ekans slithered out. The snake pokemon looked around and saw the bird pokemon. +Oh, a snack?+ Sep hissed. Jay shook her head. "No, don't hurt it. We just want you to protect us from harm, if it attacks." When she saw the Hoothoot fall over asleep she nodded at the Ekans, who quickly darted over ot the Hoothoot. +What have we here? A treat for Sep?+ She hissed at teh sleeping bird.

OOC: Whoops, I wasn't clear in that paragraph. The Sentret fell asleep, not the Hoothoot. xD
BIC:
The Hoothoot felt annoyed that the Ekans would think of it as a snack. That was not the way it worked around here, it just wasn't. Narrowed eyes traced the poison type's every movement in the darkness, using its Foresight to allow itself the ability to see.
<A treat for you? I think you've got it wrong, my friend. > It was half teasing them, out of its own sarcastic nature. While really it had the intentions of harming, and scaring its visitors. It wouldn't attack until they made the first move, might as well be polite if they weren't coming otu of here alive.

Jay walked over to the Hoothoot. “Oh, we wouldn’t attack you, don’t worry.” She promised, carrying the sleeping Sentret in her arms. “Sorry about Sep, he’s a little mean.” Jay smiled down at the Ekans. +Not mean, just hungry.+ Sep hissed. She slithered around Jay and smiled at the Hoothoot. +I wouldn’t have eaten you, not unless Jay told me to.+ She looked up at Jay and chuckled slightly. “Jay shook her head and knelt down by the Hoothoot. “Um, we were told there was an evil monster in here, have you seen one?” She asked.

Switching to stand on its left foot, the Hoothoot jumped away from Jay in the process. Being distrustful of human's and Pokemon, the bird gave them a way-ward look. Its red eyes glowing a little brighter so that the others could talk to it easier than before. It would give them that much.
<Evil Monster? I'm as evil as they get. And I believe that you fell into my trap.> The Hoothoot gave a small chuckle, before setting its sights on the strongest Pokemon in the room, Sep. She actually reminded the bird of a giant worm, slimy and easy to slide down ones throat. Hopping from one foot to the next, the Hoothoot used Tackle at the Ekans.

Jay stepped back and cried in alarm. "Sep!" She glared at the Hoothoot. "Sep, poison Sting!!" She growled. Sep hissed as the Hoothoot tackled her. She slithered away and snapped her teeth. +Birds are rather tasty!+ She opened her jaws wide, wide enough to swallow anything she wanted. Sep snapped her teeth and launched herself at the Hoothoot attacking with her Poison Sting.

<I don't think so!> The HootHoot shouted, flying out of the way of the Poison Sting Attack. As Jay might have noticed the HootHoot was fairly fast for a chubby little bird. <I'm the strongest, most speediest, and most evilest!> The cocky owl pokemon hooted as she flew in for another Tackle Attack.

Sep hissed, getting ready to jump out of the way of this attack. She tried to dodge it, but go hit at the last moment and cried in pain. "Sep! Wrap!" Jay tried. She had never delt with a flying pokemon. Sep growled and hissed again, she curled herslef up in a tight ball and launched herself over the Hoothoot and shot out vines to wrap and squeeze the little bird. +I will eat you!+ She hissed.

OhOhIC: Oh, like in the Pokémon Stadium games? Hehehe, haven't thought about that in years.
Bic:
As the funny feeling vines wrapped themselves around the Hoothoot, it found itself immobilized. Trapped, and unable to escape as these 'ropes' squeezed the air out of the bird, harder and harder.
<You've...got it...wrong...Other-way...around.> The Owl Pokémon burst out, before letting out a series of low rhythmic growls. Psychic waves radiated off of its body as it preformed a Hypnosis on Sep.

Jay frowned. "Oh Sep, squeeze harder!" She called. Jay held the Sentret in her arms closer, she was afraid for Sep. "Sep, try bite now!!"Jay snapped. Sep seemed a little confused at the words that Jay was calling, and didn't use Bite. +Poison Sting? Right!+Sep called. Sep wrapped the vines tighter and sent out her Poison Sting attack. "No!! Bite!!" Jay sighed. "Whatever."

The Poison Stings began to hit the Hoothoot, but it couldn't move far away to dodge them. For a moment it thought that it was poisoned, but it was simply the squeezing of the vine's. Relieved, it sent a glare at the Ekans. It should've been asleep, must have really bad hearing. Perhaps that was why it wasn't effected by the Hypnosis, well...whatever.
Stuck in the vines, but not motionless to its surprise. Switching between two legs to go in a rhymic hopping from left to right, it became a harder target to hit. Even when those vines were wrapped around it, it was still aiming for a Tackle at Sep.

Jay frowned. "Come on Sep, fight harder." Sep hissed and glared at the Hoothoot. +Fine, fight harder, I'll fight harder! I'll eat it if you want, even if you don't want, I'll still eat her.+ She let go of the Hoothoot, and slithered back and forth, Preparing for the Tackle attack. "Come on Sep, Bite!" Sep stopped moving, letting the Hoothoot tackle her, then when close enough Sep attack, trying to bite the bird type pokemon with her long sharp fangs.

Sep's expandable mouth easily fit over the tiny body of her opponent, though it wasn't the intention because the point was to attack with teeth. Not really caring about the details, the Hoothoot lashed out in pain, pulling away recklessly from the snake's grasp.
For its own protection, it let out a series of low and dangerous Growls at Sep. Hopefully to lower its attack, and make the damage of these attacks much worse. At least with the wrap attack gone, it was free to move around when not getting eaten.

Jay frowned. She backed away from Sep and the Hoothoot. "Oh dear, Sep, try and Leer!!" Jay called. Sep hissed and backed away from the Hoothoot, then attacked with her Leer attack. +Next time I bite, I'll eat you!+ Sep snarrled. +Or next time I get close to you.+ She flashed her long fangs again.

Now it appeared that the Growls from earlier were negated, because the Hoothoot shuddered at its lowered defense. Which wasn't very good for it, considering that the Ekands could use two attacks at the same time if it wanted to.
Seeing that the battle was getting a little too difficult for the flying type, it decided to resort to using its safety move. Using the same psychic powers from earlier, it let out a Hypnosis at the serpant. Hoping to lull it to sleep, or at least daze it, before attacking up close.

Jay closed hr eyes. “Oh! Sep, don’t…” She bit her lip as Sep slowly drifted to sleep. “Come on, wake up; wake up!” Jay snapped. She shook her head with anger. “Fine, don’t!!” She felt hopeless. “Sep get up, leer again, and then Bite!” But Sep didn’t wake, only stirring a little.

Making an evil sounding chuckle out of a mix of 'whos' and 'tweets', the Hoothoot was very pleased that its target had finally fallen asleep. It assured the bird a few moments of fighting the fallen snake, until it woke up.
But it would have to work fast, for it was already stirring a little. Easily detected the snakes movements from its previous Foresight, so even in the protective shade of darkness they couldn't hide. As nimble and quietly as the one leg bird could do, it used Tackle on the limp body.

Sep twitched even more after the Hoothoot attacked her with Tackle. She slowly started to wake up, still very asleep. Sep looked around and saw the Hoothoot, then saw jay. It took her a few minutes to understand that she was in the middle of a battle. "Sep, wake up!" Jay cried. he turned around in a circle, due to frrustration, and sighed. "Sep, try and Leer, then Bite!" Jay snapped. Sep blinked for a moment, then started to understand. She slowly preformed a Leer, then went straight in for the Bite attack.

With lowered defenses, the Hoothoot felt more vulnerable than ever. It was almost disgraceful with these feelings of weakness creeping inside of its body. Was it getting a little slower, perhaps? No, that couldn't be. The Hoothoot refused to believe it as it found itself staring into Sep's golden colored eyes.
Freed from the spell that it was temporarily put under, the Flying type realized that the snake was coming forward to attack it. Dear Arceus, what could it do now?! It had to get away, it just had to...Jump! Using its ability to switch its feet, it made a nimble jump to the right. And unknowingly creeping closer to the rest of Seps' long body, though it wasn't as concerned about that type of situation just yet.
Trying to reduce the chances of getting harmed by Sep, it let out a cute sounding Growl that nearly sounded like a whimper. It had to weaken that snake, as it was getting weakened enough already.

Sep growled as the Hoothoot jumped away from her. +Come here bird, I'd love to play with you, maybe we could go to lunch?+ Sep flashed her long fangs again. Jay smiled. "Sep, Wrap!!" Jay screamed. "Come on Sep!!" Sep backed away from the Growl, but struck quickly; she threw out vines, hoping to wrap the little bird tightly. +I'll squeeze you to death!+ Sep hissed.
