"Okay! Go Ski! Go Pip!"
Tossing a Pokéball, Roxie released her Surskit, Ski. The small bug Pokémon did a backflip, excited for battle. Her Hoppip appeared shortly after.
This Zen was a cutie. She smiled.
OOC: I think it'd be okay ^w^

Zen released her newly caught Scyther from its Pokeball. "Scy!" he snapped, still weak from his earlier battle and subsequent capture. <What do you think you are doing? Release me!>
The redhead held out a healing potion to the bug Pokemon. "Peace? At least for now?"
The Scyther did not move. <Take it,> Zarya growled. <We're needed.> The Vulpix jerked her head towards the older woman. The Scyther examined the trained. He recognized her from observing many battles from her before, but never wanted to battle her on his own. But this time...the Vulpix might be helpful, he would admit that. Perhaps.
<Fine. But only this time.> The Scyther drank the potion and immediately felt better. Good enough to battle, hopefully.
"Ready?" Zen asked her two Pokemon. Zarya barked in confirmation while the Scyther nodded. "All right. Let's go." She turned to the older trainer. "You can go first," she smiled sweetly.

"Ski, use Bubble to slow them down! Pip, use Tackle!" she cried enthusiastically.
Ski jetted forward and released a flurry of bubbles from his mouth at his opponents. Pip rushed at Scyther, aimed at knocking it off-balance.

"Zar, try to dodge the bubbles! Scyther, you too!" Zen shouted. The Vulpix leaped to and fro in an half-successful attempt to avoid the watery pain, but was still dealt a good amount of damage. Scyther simply tried slashing through the bubbles that came his way--not very elegant, but semi-effective. It was probably the bubbles that allowed the Hoppip to successfully tackle Scyther, but the Hoppip was so light that it did less damage than the bubbles.
"Good! Now, Ember on the Hoppip and Quick Attack on the Surskit!" Zarya commanded. Zarya let a thin line of fire out at the Hoppip while Scyther leaped at his target, scythes flashing in the light.

Surskit jumped happily, managing to avoid Quick Attack with relative ease. He hopped a few more times before trying another Bubble attack.
Due to her light weight, Hoppip was caught in the flames and felt them singe her leaves. Noticing one on fire, she panicked and flew around. Using Splash, she futilely tried to rid herself of the status condition.
"Meanie!" Roxie yelled, not thinking Zen was so cute and adorable anymore.

Scyther was furious. That little...thing was faster than him? Not this time it won't be! Without waiting for a command, he shot forward for another Quick Attack on the Surskit, popping most of the bubbles along his way. They hurt him, but in his anger he hardly noticed. This time he would cut his opponent up!
Zen scowled at her latest capture. Looks like a little obedience training was in Scyther's future. But that was for later. Right now she needed to make sure her Pokemon didn't faint. Zarya was already avoiding the remainder of the bubbles easily, that was one good thing. "Another Ember on the Hoppip! I don't think it likes fire, do you?" Zen called to Zarya in a singsong voice.
"Pix!" Zarya agreed. Oh, it would have plenty of fire to deal with after this. Zarya inhaled deeply and breathed out more flames.

"Be careful!" yelled Roxie as the flames engulfed her precious Pip. "Synthesis! And Ski, use a Quick Attack!"
The pink pokemon squeaked as the flames burnt it, but quickly recovered some health with the healing attack. The surskit used a quick attack as well, the two bug pokemon meeting each other in the middle.

{OOC: Yarr, I'm not quite sure how to respond }
Zen smirked. She was doing better than she would have expected. "Keep those Embers coming, Zar, Pip probably can't handle much more." The Vulpix matched her trainer's smirk. A Synthesis was only prolonging the inevitable, in her eyes. Once again, fire spiraled towards the grass Pokemon.
The young woman then turned her attention to the other two Pokemon. Scyther was bigger than his opponent, but would it be enough to deal real damage?

The trainer held silent, a bit too frustrated to command her pokemon for now.
The hoppip cried out once more as the flames engulfed it. It had also been badly burned, which damaged it even more. It only had a little more health... it could use it wisely. Jumping skyward, it tried a tackle against the vulpix... perhaps its last attack for the battle.
(I'm not sure about what the scyther is doing... x__x;; So I'll just assume it's attacking mindlessly XD)
The spider pokemon yowled in pain as the scyther swiped at it. All-out offense, eh? It's close combat strategy surely would be its downfall. It let out a flurry of bubbles at the bug type it faced, certain that he would faint soon.

{OOC: Yeah, Scyther is kinda doing his own thing...}
"Stop it!" Zen yelled at her newest Pokemon. "What are you doing, you're going to get yourself killed!" The bubbles hit Scyther square in the chest. And it hurt. Badly. He stumbled back, still trying to slash the Surskit. Useless while he was so tired. Scyther stood still for an instant, collecting the remainder of his energy. When he felt like he could wait no longer, he tried one final Quick Attack.
Zarya was so caught up in watching her partner's battle she forgot about her own. She didn't see the Hoppip until it was too late. The little Pokemon crashed into her painfully. "Vulpix!" the fire Pokemon squealed in anger. She kicked the Hoppip off her and struggled to regain her footing. Exhausted, nearly beaten, and just about out of fire, she tried another Ember.

Hoppip squealed in pain, feeling the embers burn it's sensitive leaflets. It collapsed on the ground, completely exhausted from the barrage of flames.
Roxie scowled, recalling the pokemon. "My my, you're better than I thought. Surskit, quick attack!"
But surskit was dealing with the after-effects of Scyther's quick attack. It reeled back, trying to regain it's composure. The force of the blow knocking it off balance momentarily, it narrowed it's eyes at it's foe. With a war-cry for both itself and it's fallen partner, it lunged for Scyther madly.

Zen breathed a sigh of relief. One down, and both her Pokemon were still up...barely. "Very good, Zarya! Now Tail Whip Surskit! Scyther...ahh, whatever," she finished lamely, realizing that Scyther still wasn't listening to her. Zarya swung around, intent on slapping the Surskit in the face with her multiple tails.
Scyther fell back, tired, hardly dodging his opponent's attack. It didn't knock him completely out, but the next time anything hit him, his own attack or the Surskit, he would faint. He had used extraordinary amounts of energy in his blind attack and now he had very little left. He crouched warily, eyes wanting to slide shut. Time for a Focus Energy, hopefully the Surskit will take advantage and not attack him first...

The surskit giggled a little at the wagging tail, and paid less attention to the fire type pokemon, thus lowering its own defense. It glared at the scyther that was glowing with focus energy, and took advantage of the moment, trying a Quick Attack on said bug pokemon.

Zen grumbled, "Might've had a chance if he had just listened," as she watched. Oh well, all that was just about over. "Zar, try for an Ember while it's busy with Scyther!" If the Vulpix could just hit the other Pokemon while it was distracted, maybe she could win this. Zarya nodded tiredly, but seemed to realize that the battle was about to be over, one way or another. She mustered up the last of her fire and exhaled deeply in the Surskit's direction.
The Quick Attack directly hit its target. Scyther fell to the ground while attempting one last hit at his opponent. He couldn't stay conscious enough to see if it hit, though, as he slid into a faint. "Scy..." he cried softly as he fell.

The surskit laughed cruelly as the scyther fell to the ground, taking the last small, yet hurtful blow. However, it was also hit by the flames too, and struggled heavily to survive from it. It held on to its last bit of its HP... they could win this!
"C'mon! Let's get this finished! Bubble!" The confident Roxie ordered.
The surskit did nothing but obey her command; from its small mouth, it blew many explosive bubbles at the vulpix. And since it was half water, it could have the upper hand... but it was weak as well; one last hit, and it could faint.

{OOC: Sorry for being away so long. I was sick >< Still am, but I'm feeling a bit better}
Zen watched in dismay as the bubbles went flying towards her little Vulpix. Zarya looked so tired and beaten; Zen didn't have the heart to tell her to fight any longer. "Do what you have to," the new trainer sighed. Looks like she would lose her first trainer battle.
"Vul..." moaned Zarya. She was out of fire, so Ember was out of the question. She futilely tried to dodge the bubbles with limited success. She had gotten close enough to the Surskit in a kamikaze move to try simply slamming into it as she fainted. "Pix!" she squealed as she fell in a dead faint.

((-gives you medecin and a warm, fluffy blanket.... and a teddy bear to cuddle ^__^-))
Her surskit was sent sprawling on the ground, barely able to get back up. In fact, it was really unable to battle now. Roxie seemed rather surprised that she had actually won. Even though her dear surskit was as good as fainted, and it was technically a draw, she had still won...ish...
"Well, you fought a good fight," she said, shaking Zen's hand. "Well I'm headed to the pokemon center now. It was really nice fighting you!"She waves good bye and ran off, towards the nearest town, leaving Zen alone. She seemed to have dropped something on the ground though... was this.. a revive?
You have found a revive ::revive:: All participating pokemon gain a level if under 20.

Well. That went badly, but not as badly as it could have. Zen bent over to pick up the dropped item and smiled. At least this would be useful. She approached Zarya with the Revive clenched in one hand. Carefully, she revived her poor Vulpix. Zarya leaped to her feet, energized and ready to battle. Such a stark contrast to five seconds ago, Zen mused. "You did great, hon," she said as she stroked the Vulpix's soft fur. "I'm proud of you."
Zarya flicked her tails irritably. She lost? She lost?! Impossible! At least she was conscious, which was more than could be said for Scyther. <You should have listened,> she snidely remarked to her fainted partner. <We might have done better if you had.>
Zen returned Scyther to his Pokeball. "Enough of that. Are you ready to get moving or what?"

As the trainer continued along, a pokemon seemed to be following it. As if it were doing detective work, it was carrying a magnifying glass, monitoring the girl's every move. It barely even made a sound... but Zen, the trainer it stalked, would surely find out sooner or later.

What was that? Zarya snarled to nothing in particular. There it was again. Something was not as it should be. For the longest time now, she felt like something was following them, but she couldn't see or hear anything, just a tickle in the back of her mind that told her she was being watched. It wasn't too long after that she barked, <Whatever you are, cut it out before I flame you!>
Zen jumped. Out of the blue, her Vulpix starts barking at nothing. Or was it nothing? Like her Pokemon, she had felt that something was off, but chalked it up to common paranoia. "So you feel it too, huh?" she asked softly. She thought she heard a rustling noise behind her and whirled around, fists clenching. "Who's there?" she called.
