”If you two don’t stop fighting the both of you will be going into your pokeballs and won’t be allowed out for the rest of the day!”
<Well. If he would just maintain a distance of one metre from me I wouldn’t be tempted to try and bite him!>
<I have every right to be walking on his Right side! I’m his first pokemon. I get Preference! You on the other hand. Tried to kill a Caterpie! You shouldn’t even be near Ace!>
<A Meowth’s gotta eat. You’d’ve probably done something similar if you weren’t leading the pampered life!>
<The fur on my Side will never be the same! You’ve scarred my pelt!>
<What? And you think I liked eating fire?>
<You deserved it!>
“Enough you two! Kin, you go up front and keep an eye on the path ahead! Data, You run behind and make sure nothings behind us!”
<See. He likes me better... He told me to go up in-front so he doesn’t have to look at your pink Butt!>
<You My Pompous feline, are mistaken. He’s put You Up front because he can’t trust you to watch his back. That’s a job he gave to his most trusted pokemon!>
At those words, the Meowth reached out with a paw, intending to swipe the Vulpix’s fur to shut him up when Ace bent down in the middle of it, copping a Scratch attack to his own arm. ”Go.. Now! He growled to the two pokemon, eyes slitted as he watched the two run off. A few paces away now prowled Kip, and behind him, Data was walking, watching to make sure nothing snuck up on them.
Sighing, Ace continued down the path, wondering just why he allowed the Meowth and the Vulpix out of their Pokeballs. Stupidity kills... And you couldn’t get Stupider then that...[/sub]

A Raticate bares its fangs at you up the path, jumping from foot to foot in eagerness for a battle. "Ra-Ra-RATICATE!" it yells, challenging you and your pokemon.

{Are you insane Poor poor little Ace... Hehehe. This'll be fun xD} "Kin! You were suppossed to make sure this didn't happen!" Ace of course, was talking about the fact that a Giant Raticate was right there. Staring him in the eye. And No pokemon at his belt! Now, Both Kin and Data's competiveness kicked in at precicely the exact same time. Ace was now frozen with fear as the Raticate jumped around in-front of him. So, what were they to do but Sprint over to Ace and try and attack the pokemon. Sure, two on one wasn't fair. But this was a raticate. If he wasn't frozen solid, Ace would be shivering on the floor. Why oh why did he come back to the route...? So, up the path comes Kin, fangs bared as she went to charge in with a bite attack on the Raticate while Data's mouth was filled with Flame as he charged forward, planning on using Ember on the dreaded pokemon. Perhaps it wasn't such a bad thing after all. It seemed the two pokemon were working together... For once.

"RAATICATE!" The large rat wailed as both attacks hit dead-on. He glared at them evilly; how dare they gang up on him! With that, he aimed a ferocious hyper fang at Kin.

{{I give permission for the next mod here to say whether Kin got hit by the Hyper Fang or not.}}
He was starting to calm down... Starting. His pokemon were protecting him... He;d run soon.. He would.. He would run into the woods until he found a clearing and then he'd sit there and try to free his mind of the Raticates voice. He couldn't speak, his muscles were stiff, his mouth open, catching flies...
Meanwhile, Kin and Data were still trying to handle the pokemon. Kin's back was turned, and so she was unable to see the oncoming Hyper-fang attack. Data though, could see almost to well. He could just sit there... Allow the Meowth to just take the attack. HEaven knows the pokemon deserved it.
But, then again, maybe not. Ace was frozen solid behind him, and he probably didn't want to watch his pokemon get beaten. Not to mention the little pest would owe him one should he save him. Well... It was always good to have a slave of your own. So, running forward again, Data stood behind he Raticate as he attempted to attack Kin before sending out another Ember attack.

Data's act to protect his pokemon partner, whatever the reason, prevailed. Before Raticate could sink its teeth into the delicious skin of Kin, he was enflamed. "Raaaaticate!" It screeched, now turning on Data with hyper fant.

Kin turned around at the Raticates outburst, in-time to see it engulfed in flames momentarily. Seems the little fur-ball saved her from getting hurt. Ahh well. That Didn't matter anymore. 'cause now it was Kin's turn to return the favour. She loved the thought. Cat and mouse no? Her eyes lit up as she unsheathed her claws, leaping into the air and hoping to sink them into the pokemon's back. Bloodlust... She wanted to draw Blood... She wanted to hurt the Raticate.
Kin, no matter what she tried, would not have been able to get to th eRaticate before hyper-fang hit Data. The Fox pokemon yellped in pain, kicking the Raticate away and rolling to the side before he followed through with a tail-whip. Hoping to lower the pokemons defences.

The raticate's defence was indeed lowered, which was painfully obvious as Kin was able to dig her claws into his furry back. "RAAAAAAATTT!" It screamed, its face distorted with the pain it felt. It writhed wildly, trying to get free.

The Raticate's pain only made Kin want to sink her claws in harder, trying to Puncture the pokemon's Skin. Her back feet too, had claws exposed as she tried to grip onto the Raticates back, tried to ensure she wouldn't fall off. Until then though, she couldn't do anything more then that. But oh did it feel good to be fighting!
Data on the other hand, was bracing himself once more for an Ember attack, oblivious to the thoughts that were going through the Meowth's head and focused only on ensuring that the Raticate would leave them alone. He was tempted to use roar, to scare it away, but this was so much more fun. And he'd heal himself soonish. So, using Ember, Data maintained his distance from the pokemon, doing his best to avoid hitting Kin.

The raticate, in enough pain as it were, screeched terribly as the ember burned it, and it flinched this round.

Kin was loving this, she gripped the Raticate harder, and readied herself for a bite attack, aiming for the pokemon's neck.
Data meanwhile, used another Ember on the Raticate, an ear turned behind him as he listnd to Ace's faint ramblings about Killer Raticate as he tried to snap out of his Paralysis.

Both of these attacks at once caused the Raticate to faint.
All participating pokemon gain one level!
The Raticate was now able to be captured.

There. It was gone. The Raticate had finally fainted. Data was the first to return to Ace who, despite the Raticate's current condition, was still frozen, as still as a statue. Kin though, was revelling in the defeat of the pokemon, getting off the pokemon before rubbing herself up against him, almost mockingly.
<Stop that you stupid feline. Can't you see you're traner is dead?> Of course. Ace wasn't dead, he merely needed something to wake him up. And Kin, who's attention Data now had, had just the thing.
Walking purposefully towards her trainer, The Meowth hissed threateningly at Data, warning him not to make a move before Unsheathing her claws and using a slight, if not painful scratch attack on Ace's legs.
Well. That sure as wild-fire got Ace Moving. Except, not in the way one would think. It was like everything that had happened never did. Except for the Raticate. He turned, and bolted, off the path and deeper into the Forest.
<Good going Dipstick...>
<At least he's not dead...>
And so, the two pokemon followed suit, chasing after their trainer as he crashed his way through the forest, dodging trees and getting himself all scratched up by lingering branches. It was a while before he finally stopped and sat down.
You know how people do this weird dance thing after walking through a spider web? Well, he didn't do the weird dance thing. But once he'd gained control of himself, he had the urge to. Why oh why did it have to be a Raticate that he met on the road. And now it was just lying there. Not that he cared. For all he loved pokemon. He just didn't like Raticate. Images of being btten over and over again by the pokemon just played over and over in his head.
Soon, Both Data and Kin joined him. Data panting softly before curing up beside the boy, trying to comfort the trainer while Kin, giving him a quick rub to say she was there, wandered off and began mercilessly attacking a tree. Thoughts of what she could have done to that Raticate had Data not beenn there coming to mind.

Another wild pokemon soared down from above. This time it was just a harmless Butterfree. Nothing to be scared of.

Data lifted his head as a sound attracted him. It was a butterfree. Would it want to fight or not? Readying himself, just in case, Data stood, walking forward, towards the pokemon while making sure to remain in contact with Ace. He wasn't being menacing in any way. Or at least, he hoped he wasn't being menacing.
Nearby, Kin was oblivious to the Butterfree... Probably a good thing. Instead, her attacks were becoming Fiercer as she continued to swipe at the tree, stopping to rub against it before attacking it again.
Next to Data, Ace was calming down, he too had noticed the Butterfree. But, finding his voice was a hassel. He couldn't give out commands to Data or Kin but he didn't really feel like he had to. He simply leant back against the tree, and rested his head against the trunk, trying to rid himself of the Raticate memory.

The Butterfree saw that Data was ready to battle, and it used Confusion on the Vulpix. The trainer leaning against the tree was kind of unusual considering they normally gave instructions, but oh well.

{Time to bring in the coins... Lets see..>)
The Butterfree's attack was enough to make Ace more aware of his surroundings. While he remained seated, Ace nudged Data softly, prompting the pokemon to move forward... And right into the path of the Butterfree's confusion Attack.
"Use Ember Data, try to snap out of it." Ace instructed quietly, his voice only just able to be picked up by the Vulpix. Data meanwhile, was having some trouble. Everytime he thought the Buterfree was in range to be hit, it moved. Or really... He did.
There! The Pokemon was right above him. He couldn't miss. And so, opening his mouth, Vulpix sent out an Ember attack. Only to have it come right back and hit him. It seems, the Buterfree was no-where near there, and, instead of hitting something, The Ember attack just came right back and burnt Data fair and square.
Thank goodness for his ability. Otherwise it might have done alot more damage... It still took away some HP though.
{Hope that's alright. Data "hurt himself in his confusion"}

This time the Butterfree used Harden, raising it's Defense. It didn't attack Data this time, allowing time for the Vulpix to snap out of Confusion.

"Alright Data, shake it off. Try again..." Ace coaxed, sitting up now, beginning to get excited over this battle.
Nearby, Data was still struggling to overcome his confusion. Finally, he managed to release another Ember attack, this time, aiming straight for the Butterfree.
And still, Kin stood well away from the battle, now gnawing at an exposed root. Trying to kill the tree but managing only to get sap all muddled up in her fur... Not that she minded..> The tree was dieing!

Flitting in every direction, Butterfree tried to avoid the fire attack in immense panic. Despite it's efforts, however, it was burned severely by the flames. Wincing in pain, it wasn'g going to last very long. Butterfree then threw in the extra effort, using a much more powerful Confusion, intent on putting the Vulpix right back where it was.
