((Eh...I'll continue this alittle longer since it's not that many pages...Hope thats okay...))
At last, his new Pokemon had been healed from the Pokemon center, fresh and ready for battle. Of course, just because of this fact, this didn't mean he was any closer to his battle with the person they called the gym leader of the next town. No, in his heart he was still too weak to go any further than where he was now, even if he had complete faith in his Pokemon. The gym leader was supposed to be strong, so he wanted his own team to become stronger. He had come back to train them...but just who would he start with from the three he owned now... The thought was at the back of his mind as he walked towards the route.

Up ahead of the path of where Shadow was continuing to walk was a Fire Horse Pokemon, that seem to be enjoying a good gallop along the quiet path.
{Sorry it's super short -_-}

Since the brand new journey had began for Shadow, he had already witnessed some amazing things and some of which he never expected to come across. At least not so early within his adventure anyways. It had surprised his quite a bit as his eyes came across the fire type, his ears hearing not much more than the quiet trotting sounds coming from the horses hooves. Again, for him it was unexpected to see such a thing. A glance to his Pokedex told him what this was.
"A Ponyta?..." He shook his head, uncertain of what it was even if the image was in front of him. His sea green eyes shined as he rubbed the dark circles under his eyes. Uncertain of how he was to act next, he inched forward with his fingers twiddling around with three Pokeballs.
((Tis okay ^_^))

As its white head turned around, a fiery mane spiraled around with the horse's stance. A couple of embers leaking into the ground, melting the snow around it. For a couple seconds the tail and mane seemed to grow with a brighter intensity, you could actually feel the heat radiating around it while a small silence approached.
Small ears on the Ponyta's head pointed in Shadow's direction, its its eyes narrowed on the sight of the man. It wasn't sure how to react to the sight of another trainer, oh it had already battled one today. Thankfully it had ran away in time to avoid taking in too much damage from a brutal water type move, but it certainly wasn't in the mood to get knocked out. So the only thing it could do was stand there until Shadow did something, anything that could make it nervous.

The pair of ocean colored eyes kept their gaze cautiously, watching the flames intensify so much that the fire's warm colors flickered, danced and contrasted with the cool colors of his own eyes. The warmth seemed to make contact with his skin, causing him to forget anything about the weather they were in for the moment. It was mere beauty and it cause him to smile somewhat. He glanced to the Pokeballs in his hand, biting his bottom lip knowing he wouldn't become stronger unless he made it happen. But an attack...? Would that prove strength in any way?
As he lifted his gaze from the round orbs held at the tips of his fingers now, he met the Ponyta's narrow eyed stare and his without blinking, they locked in place unmoving. As was the horse, the young man was uncertain now of what action he should choose. Attack or pass the scene? The thoughts twisted and fought inside his mind. He knew he get nowhere never doing anything. But the thought of starting a fight reminded him of his father, which left a nasty taste in his mouth. Out of nowhere, the drop was made and Shadow could be seen on his knees, a confused look filling the blue-green orbs behind the ebony locks.
"I...I'm sorry," the pale lips formed the words, yet it was no louder than a small whisper. Without the realization, one of the three Pokeballs dropped from his hand, rolling about a foot away from him. A flash of light quickly emerged and a small bird like Pokemon sat, looking at the scene it was facing. Her trainer, who had saved her from nearly freezing earlier sat, looking just as confused as before. She then glimpsed the Ponyta ahead of them. Her feathers gave a ruffle as she talked to the horse.
<I hope nothing bad has happened here. This boy is just a little frightened right now...I suppose...>

It was definatly a tense moment as the Ponyta locked eyes with the human before it. It had no idea what to do, and it had the feeling that it wasn't its own choice on what would happen next. If the trainer would fight it, or...Well, not drop to the ground.
Deciding that it was safe to approach, the horse Pokemon took several cautious steps towards the man. Its head stretched out, but its body far away. Just trying to take in whatever scent the man had to offer in this freezing weather. Soon the creature heard a small 'pop' from around it, and looked around until its eyes rested on a small Pidgey. Instantly it relaxed. Being familiar with these small birds.
<Frightened? Hmth. I did nothing, all we did was look at each other. > It looked away from the Pidgey's eyes as it said this. Though the horse really had no idea it could look so scary to a trainer.

It was a moment or two before he calmed down enough to take another glimpse at the fire type standing before him. His sea green eyes stared right through the locks of ebony colored hair which covered his face for the most part. The tan colored fowl gave a small look of sympathy for her trainer, which the young man also saw. This soon caused a pink hue to rise into his pale face. How could he look so pathetic? When would he ever over come these little fears of his? It was a Pokémon and thats what they did to become stronger, right?
The boy was no longer on his knees, but sat firmly on his backside. "I'm sorry..." the words came out. "I'm supposed to help make you guys stronger...But I just..." The rest of the words were lost, as he tried to think of what to say.
<He's such a nervous boy...He's afraid to fight...I think that's why he freaked out as he did...>

The Ponyta came the human an annoyed look, stepping back a bit to see if it would lighten up the situation some how. It wasn't exactly the most sociable of Ponyta, but it wasn't the worst either. So a strong sense of trying to cheer up the male in front of him pestered at the horse's mind, seeing as it was responsible for making Shadow feel this way. However, it also felt embarressed by the fact that it would have to do something like that.
So, that was a rough situation to be in. The fire horse merely stood there with a lost expression plainted on its face.
<Afraid to fight? How has he been living all this time? > The Ponyta looked up in surprise as it listened to the Pidgey's explanation. Which brought it to wonder if the bird would be translating all of Shadow's actions. Probably so, for it was the only clue it had in any of this.
<That won't do at all...Not a chance. How about this, maybe I can get him over his fear. If not, at least its a baby step.> It proclaimed, still feeling a little dumb for even wanting to help the person it thought was going to hurt it. Eyeing the pidgey with a curious look, to urge the little thing to translate to the man.
