"Last chance," He warned once again to Katje, who desprately searched her mind for the right move to make as this rat charged towards her so valiantly.
It would be her final attack, whether she was knocked out or called back, and suddenly, the vulpix grinned. She had an idea. To the rat, she would look defensless and confused as she thought of something to do, but just before the purple little thing would come to impact her, just inches away, she would open her mouth, and let the embers burn the wild thing's fur and skin in such close proximity. Of course, fire wouldn't stop the momentum it had built up, and even though she had let out an unavoidable attack, the Rattata was too close for her to avoid as well. And so she went tumbling back, head over rear, mere seconds after the Ember. Neither could have escaped that one.
But Keeva wasn't impressed. He stood with his arms folded and ears slightly pressed back in annoyance. The battle was too messy.

Bright red embers scorched the purple rats fur, and was abruptly stopped after its flurry of fast Quick Attacks from before. Standing still for a breif moment gave the Rattata a headache, it made it feel so vulnerable to be standing still for even a second in this battle, but could not create the energy to move. Just stand, witless as it started hard at Keeva and the Vulpix.
It was able to sense that its previous attack made a mark, but it had no clue as to wether it would be good enough, not if the Rattata couldn't do anything else. Deciding that there was nothing else to do, it fell to the ground. Not exactly fainted unconsious, but weakened and in defeat to the other Pokemon.
Katje gains a level, capture or move on?

Katje was extremely weakened, hardly able to stand, but just barely hanging in there. With a relieved sigh, he glanced at the two now lying on the ground, shakeing his head. It had been too long since his last journey, and it seemed that Pokemon in regions farther from home just got stronger and stronger.
Carefully he bent down to the rat and dug around in his bag for a Potion. Although he could use it on Katje, he could just as well take her to a center and have her healed. The rat, if left there, became prey to other creatures by unnatural events. So, being the inwardly soft-hearted person he really was, he sprayed down the rat with the potion, and moved it off into a nice grassy spot where snow had not touched. At least it would be partially hidden when it's strength returned. Back in his bag the used potion went, then he stood, and called back Katje. one small victory, unfortunately, wasn't going to help him much. Eerie gave a soft little 'mewl' sound at his side as they started to walk on down the path. Whatever they encountered next would hopefully be a good match for the ghost Eon. She had a grace all about her, and to see her battle would perhaps raise his spirits.

As Eerie and Keeva were walking along the path, a pair of eyes were glistening from the tree tops. Seeing travellers had awakened the bird's mischevious spirit, and was eager to confuse the heck out of these weaklings. Raising its velvet black wings, it flew off into the skies. The only signs it would give off were its shadow, which kept dissapearing within the shadow's of the tree branches. Correctly assuming that they were only travelling down the dirt path, the bird got an idea. This Murkrow in particular had done this trick plenty of times before, and always had hilarious results. Opening its mouth, a dark mist began to pour out. Making the skies appear as dark as night, and its body blended right in. Diving down to a lower tree top to get a better range, it let out another Haze, in an attempt to create a giant wave of darkness.

Keeva knew better - he was half Pokemon after all. This was no nightfall, nor clouds covering the low-set sun. Some Dark type was having fun with them, which wasn't particularly good for Eerie walking at his side.
"Eerie, take shelter. Snowscape can handle this."
He said softly to his Eon as he returned her, and released a beautiful snow-horse, a bit larger than a rapidash, but similar to it. Much more elegant than a Rapidash, but she had a proud, somewhat fierce look in her eyes. The horse snorted and stomped one of it's hooves in the darkness. She could see through it better than Keeva's eyes could, even if they were better than normal human eyes.
"Swift," He suddenly said with a slight grin.
Snowscape reared up on her hind legs and whinned before tossing her head side to side, releasing spiraling star shards from the glowing horn on her forehead every which way. It pierced the darkness, and whatever would be hiding within.

Tilting its head to the side as Keeva returned the ghost type, the Murkrow leaned forward on its wooden perch. Cunning eyes were examining the Pokémon Trainer's every move, but it couldn't quite figure out what he was up to. The sight of another Pokeball only made the bird more curious than before, its crooked yellow beak dropping a bit as the new figure came into sight.
A being with a mane of blue fire was standing on the ground, the Dark type couldn't believe its own eyes. It had a thought cross its mind that the Freezian could possibly see it, and started moving towards the base of the tree. Sheltering its body from sight as it soon found out the true meaning of the horse being sent out. Bright white stars shot out through the darkness, like a sword that was cutting through its precious Haze attack. Even the Murkrow wasn't safe from its hiding spot, and was knocked down to the ground, landing right in front of Keeva and Snowscape.
"Murrrr...." It moaned, pushing its body from off the ground. Even taking the time to brush some dust off of its wings before giving Snowscape an angry glare. It wasn't sure if it should attack or not, for the horse looked much more powerful than it looked. To be honest, the bird was ready to fly away after its trick had been discovered, but it didn't want to lose its pride. Giving it another thought, seeing as the trainer didn't look like backing down, the bird charged towards Snowscape with a Pursuit.

Snowscape seemed a little spooked when a black bird suddenly appeared out of the haze. She whinnied and stamped a bit before gaining her confidence again.
"Another Swift," Keeva ordered, wanting to knock the thing out while it was down. Murkrow would be a nice addition to the odd party he already had going.
The Freezian once more let out an array of piercing stars all ove the place, but in this process she didn't see the Prideful little bird rushing at her at first, until the last minute. She panicked and started to run, but then it faded and she stood still. Odd... did it flee? Those deep indigo eyes cautiously searched the area, but in vain. For soon, the crow reappeared and slammed into her. It wasn't much, considering her size compared to it, but it was enough to send the ice-horse running from fright, and Keeva, despite the bit of anger, couldn't help but laugh a little.
"Snowscape, get back here! Don't let some clever little bird frighten you!"
She snorted at her master for laughing before prancing back up to his side, shaking herself of the shame. Damn crow-creatures, always causing trouble.
"Now Tackle before it flies away."
Powerful hind legs propelled her forward much faster than one would think a equine of that size could go, but soon she was barreling towards the Murkrow, head down, and a rather angry look in those beautiful eyes.

The Murkrow raised its wings high in the air, making it appear bigger than it really was as the Freezian was in the process of fleeing. It wasn't the intention of the Murkrow, for all it was really doing was prepare to get up into the air, for it did feel weird to fight on the ground.
After hearing Keeva speak, the sinister looking bird let out a secretive smile. Looks like there was going to be a fight after all. With a flap of its wings an entire body of feathers was hovering about a foot off the ground. Only raising a bit to adjust to the Freezian's eye level, and kept its confident gaze as the ice horse began its running start torwards it. That wasn't going to happen, for it only flew even higher in order to dodge the attack, before lowering its body back to the original position.
"Muuurk!" It cried, making its head appear bigger with a dark glow.In a frightful scream it was attempting to frighten the Freezian again with the power of Astonish. It had already known that the horse could be frightened with ease, but it couldn't help but wonder if the anger would cover its opponents fear. Would its emotions take a turn for the worse?

"She won't be so easily startled now, my friend." Keeva slipped into Poketongue with a slight grin.
And he was right. Now that Snowscape knew the enemy and that it was just a little bird, she supressed her nature to run and forced the nature to fight. She knew, too, that most the battles were part of the Pokemon's own decisions, and when she didn't hear a command, she took it upon herself to figure out what to do. The Astonish hit, but instead of flinching, she flung out another array of piercing stars with the crow in close proximity, nickering gently as she did so. however, where the Astonish had hit left a bit of a bruise already starting to show through the flawless white fur. If there was anything that could rile the ice-horse up, it was perhaps dirtying her appearance.

Those sharp stars began their usual homing effect on the Murkrow, but this time it felt like experimenting on the attack. Beak first it began pecking at the stars that were in front of it, forcing them to move out of the way and leave only a few nicks and cuts on the side of the bird. Some couldn't be avoided, simply because they were too bug, and how vast the attack was released.
Nevertheless, it was pleased with its work and meant to finish the job. Making the best of its Peck attack at the Freezian's legs, carefully measuring how high it would have to be, and fast if it didn't want to get caught under the mighty horse's hooves.

Snowscape was pleased her attack had done at least some damage, even if the crow had been clever enough to escape most of it. but now... now he was in range of her most powerful weapon of all. All four hooves, each able to crush and grind a petite little bird such as him. Without so much as a word uttered from Keeva, the brilliant white (save for the damage the crow caused!) mare reared and began Stomping the ground about her, where every peck landed, and where she anticipated others might. It wasn't only the forelegs doing the work, either. Her hind ones danced as well in a deadly manner. If that Murkrow managed to get beneath her, he would be praying that only a wing or tailfeathers would be damaged.
"Be gone with you, filthy scavenger!" Nickered Snow, hatefully. She was a superficial creature, and she did not like those that weren't pampered and prissy, and that fed on the leftovers of other predators.

Well...That was clearly a mistake. The Murkrow was suffering incredible damage once it realized that one of its wings was getting trampled on, and it was forced to the ground to pull it up. As the Freezian was lifting its might hoof again to strike, it dashed out. Panting for breath as it clutched its injured wing. Though that swift attack would be able to hit it no matter what, it had to stay away to prevent anything like that from happening again.
Puffing out its chest with a determined look to escape, the Dark type created another smokescreen to hide under, with the help of Haze, and felt a sense of security as the darkness covered it.

Hmm... well he didn't have any that he could clear away the fog, unfortuantely. Now it was an option of letting the battered bird get away, or risking Snowscape's health further by ahving her attack in the dark.
Snowscape snorted triumphantly and stomped her hooves a couple more times. She was proud of her work, and she showed that bird whos boss! But, the darkness was coming in again, and that wasn't a good sign.
"It'll probably be smart enough to avoid a Swift in the dark again," He thought aloud to himself. not many options here. "But we'll risk one anyway. Snowscape.."
She whinned and tossed her head once more to let the stars fly, in hopes of hitting it somehow in the dark. injured, it wouldn't be able to get that far. But, being clever, it could have found something to hide behind. It was all up to waiting now.

It was turning into quite the challenge navigating down on the ground, for even though the Murkrow had created this darkness, seeing out of it would prove to be a problem. Limping ever so slowly in its rushed state, it felt around with its good wing for some type of cover.
Behind the bird, with its inhanced hearing ability, the shooting of glowing stars flickered out into the dark area around it. The light from one of the stars passing right over it, and showing the glimmer of its golden beak before hitting a tree. Finally it was knocked down into the ground by one of the stars, whimpering from the pain that the attack gave it. Getting back up, it let out a startling cry with Astonish, in hopes of dealing some amount of damage.

Snowscape shrieked in a horse-like fashion when the Astonish struck her flank. It surprised her, and stung considerably. She reared on hind legs and pawed at the air in anger before the forlegs crashed down onto the path again, leaving little craters where hoofprints might be. She had lost sight of the crow, and snorted a good riddance to it. It was one small victory for her, at least. Keeva, as well, could not longer find the Murkrow. It must have fled like it intended while Snowscape was making a fuss over a little tap on the ass. He sighed and shrugged.
"I suppose that counts as a win."
he muttered after pressing the button to Snow's pokeball to return her, and once more allow Eerie to roam about by his side.
Snowscape has much to learn. She cares more about her appearance than winning. Eerie snickered to him mentally. The wolf-man shot a glare in her direction and flicked one of her oversized ears while moving on down the path.

ooc: Um, all Participating Pokemon gain a level? xD Yeah, you know how it works. BIC: Near the path, a sticky substance was launched into a nearby tree branch. The creator of this string was hard to locate, as its green skin blended in well with the foilage. Two large eyes that are located on the side its head narrowed in frustration, cutting off the last piece of string to create a new one. This time it was aimed at a rock, but it missed and landed on the ground instead. <Why...why....why...> Its body shook in a terrible rage, holding back a storm of emotions as it looked around for another target to hit. Searching for the perfect target until it noticed another rock, on the opposite side of the path. Raising its head high to prepare to shoot out a long distance String Shot, it let it all out. Except it didn't go as it intended, instead the string laid limp on the ground, not quite reaching the target. <...This sucks...> The Caterpie muttered to itself, and let out a depressed sigh.

(XD I think I read it too fast and thought the Mukrow ran for cover or something. My bad.)
Eerie stopped immediatly before the sticky string could land on her etheral body, and she followed it to the source with a curious look and tilted head. A depressed bug, how interesting. an easy win if ever for the young fox on their team. Keeva silently agreed, and released Katje. Apparently this wolf-man wasn't much for making friends out of wild pokemon he intended to fight for leveling purposes.
"Spit an Ember at that bug," Chin lifted, motioning to the Caterpie failing in whatever it seemed to be trying.
Katje peered up, unsure if an ember could go that far. Instead, she spat flames on the string nearby them, allowing the silken thread to burn its way back up to the owner.

The Ember trailed along the silk path, going faster, and becoming stronger as a line of fire. A faint smell of smoke alerted the Caterpie to its presence, lifting its head up slightly to investigate, and found the answer quickly. Snapping away the thread that was stuck on its mouth, the bug type crawled away to a safe distance from the thread, and paused when the fire died out.
<How did that happen?> It exclaimed with widened eyes, and turned around to see Katje in front of it. A fire type, it looked like. The trainer next to her looked like he could care less about its own safety, and grumbled under its breath. So this was a trainer? Well, it would just have to attack back if it wanted to escape their presence. Using the move it was practicing earlier, it shot out a String Shot at the Vulpix.

Katje smirked and side-stepped the pathetic stringshot. Apparently the bug would have some trouble encasing itself for evolution if it couldn't properly make a good silken thread. However, now that she could see the target perfectly, and it moved slightly closer, she ran up to the tree and spat out yet another ember in it's direction, growling as she did so.
Keeva glanced down to Eerie, wondering if she should help out. She could at least knock the caterpillar out of the tree sicne Katje couldn't reach that far, nor was she strong enough to make an impact to shake it out. For a while, he's just see how she fared against a type at a strong disadvantage to her, but well protected in the branches of a tree.

Frowning upon missing yet another target, the Caterpie grunted in dissatifaction. Narrowed eyes as it glared at the Fire type down below it, though she couldn't reach it just yet. The Problem was, it couldn't reach her either so it was somewhat mutual.
Somehow, it would have to get down if it ever wanted to attack her back. Looking around for an easy target to hit with its String Shot, it found a tree branch that was lower than it was and shot out the silk.
Attaching as soon as it hit, and crawled onto it, keeping a close eye on Katje below. At least now the distance wasn't quite as high as before, but couldn't help but worry if those embers could track it down again. At least it could try and slow the fast looking Vulpix down a bit, and try to hit her with another String Shot.
