<Well, I do actually> Kalina said, giving Butterfree the opportunity to fly off her arm. She then released Munchlax, smiling at the Butterfree. <We don't actually have to battle, but if it's what you want, I can't really refuse.>

Nodding eagerly, Butterfree flew off her arm, shakily at first. After all, the sensation of flying was entirely new to the freshly-evolved pokemon. Setting it's sights on the Munchlax, it shot the normal-type a playful grin, before using confusion. It hadn't quite mastered the ability yet, and dipped lower in the air, unable to do two things at once. Flying was turning out to be quite a chore.

Munchlax allowed the Confusion to go through, seeing as the Butterfree was so unused to battling like this. Eventually, he began to use Metronome, letting off a Hypnosis attack.

ooc - figures you'd use hypnosis. ;) -snickers insanely-
Young and inexperienced, the Butterfree was mesmerized by the Munchlax. Eyelids began to droop, and the beating of it's wings subsided, as it made a crash-landing on the ground. It snored lightly, and twitched, dreaming about a meadow of flowers.

"Okay then Munchlax, I'm not exactly sure what other attacks you have" Kalina sighed. "So we'll have to use Metronome again." Giving a nod, Munchlax used his technique once more, unleashing a Megahorn attack. It would barely do any damage, but at least he would be able to attack.

Still sound asleep, the poor little butterfree was unable to avoid the attack. However, the impact abrubtly woke it from the pleasent dreams, and immediatly she took to the air, though had some trouble getting altitude at first. "Oh my, I must have dozed off!" she giggled, then did a little loop in the sky. Ah.. the freedom of flight. It was indeed an amazing feeling. through the air she glided, and as she did, she sprinkled a soft dust from her own wings over the Munchlax, Poisonpowder, it was, though not a very potent one.

Watching her Munchlax get poisoned, there wasn't really much else Kalina could do. "Munchlax, try a Tackle attack" she commanded, watching the small but chubby Pokemon run forward and attempt to ram the Butterfree.

Butterfree giggled again, fluttering around happily. Too absorbed in her cheerful flying, she failed to see the slow but bulky Munchlax closing in on her. Tackled to the ground, she felt her freshly unveiled wings crumple and bend under the Munchlax's weight. Frantically, she used confusion.
ooc - shittiest. post. ever.

As the Munchlax went flying into a tree, Kalina caught the now fainted Pokemon. "You did really well" she told the Munchlax, returning it and watching the Pokeball disappear. "I do have one more Pokemonb that won't completely destroy you Butterfree, but it's only a baby" she explained, throwing a new Pokeball. "Go, Jade Flame!" she commanded, releasing a Jade Cyndaquil.

Finally back in the air, Butterfree stared at the Cyndaquil curiously. She'd never seen a pokemon that color before... <You're so pretty~> She cooed, flying close to the baby fire-type. <I'll go easy on you...>
Wings pumped, pushing her higher into the sky. She circled the Cyndaquil a few times, dropping glittering yellow dust as she flew. Stun Spore.

Jade Flame stared at the powder in fascination, not bothering to move at all. Quite a bit landed on the Cyndaquil's nose, causing her to sneeze in a very cute manner. But now that she was paralyzed, she couldn't really do much. Then again, she couldn't do much right now anyway, seeing as she only recently hatched. "Jade, try using a Tackle" Kalina asked. But the paralysis had sunk in already, completely immobilizing Jade Flame.

The Butterfree giggled and fluttered down to the young Cyndaquil, hovering just above it's nose with facination. Such off, beautiful creations life sometimes offered the world. She landed daintily upon the ground infront of the young pokemon, head tilting this way and that as she stared at it in it's paralysis. "I think I have tested these wings enough," trilled the bug, turning her gaze towards the trainer. "thank you for being so kind!" With a powerful beat of those beautiful glittering wings, she vanished for a moment into a tree that had been her home as a Caterpie. She then returned with a berry, one that only grew within the deep branches and many trainers would miss. An Aguav Berry. She fluttered to the trainer and offered it. "For you!"

Jade Flame was quickly recalled to her Pokeball as the Butterfree left. When it returned, Kalina shook her head and said "No, you deserve it for defeating Munchlax. Unless...you want to come with me? You'll get to see Jade Flame a lot more often. So, what do you think?"

Butterfree fluttered there a while, pondering the idea of traveling with a human and the pretty Jade Pokemon. It was tempting indeed. "But," she thought of her flowers "Who will watch over the flowers when spring comes? My beautiful flowers..." It wasn't that she wanted to stay horribly, for there were many predators of the Bug Types around, but, like most bugs, she had to worry about the one thing she pretty much lived off of and protected during her short life so far.

"It's okay, I'm sure someone can watch over your flowers" Kalina said, using Staroulder's powers to open a doorway to Syl's home. Out of the portal came Kalina's Kakuna, who stared at the flowers with seeming disappointment, along with Stantler. <Why do I have to do it?> the whined. "Because you are probably the best one I can count on" Kalina explained. "And don't worry, you have Stantler to help as well. Just watch over these flowers. Or..." Suddenly, an idea flashed into her head. "Butterfree, what if we teleported the flowers into our garden? While you live at the house, you can keep watch on them all day if you want."

The Butterfree fluttered in the air and thought carefully about the idea. She looked at the flowers and then at Kalina. "Are they going to be okay?" she asked watching the newly arrived Pokemon before turning her attention back to Kalina.

"I promise you, they'll be fine" Kalina promised, smiling at the Butterfree. "Now, do you want to come with me? I know you'll love the flowers back at the house along with your own."

The bug considered the offer for a few moments, tilting it's head to the side slightly. Finally, it's face lit up with a silly grin, and it nodded. <Yes, yes! I'd love to come and tend to your flowers too. I'm an expert at taking care of flowers! Leave it all to me!>

"That's wonderful to know" Kalina said with a big smile, taking out her last Pokeball. "Okay Pokeball, go!" she stated, throwing the ball at the Butterfree to capture it. "I'm sure things are going to be as good as they can be" she told herself happily.

The next Pokemon or two wouldn't be so easy to capture, or even get passed. Out from the trees darted a Starly and Spearow, peeping and chirping rather angrily towards the trainer, flapping about in a mess of downy feathers. Odd to see such a pair together like this. Usually they would be fighting eachother, but even the oddest sets could form friendships. Spearow, being the larger and braver, dashed forward and began to peck at the trainers bag, while the Starly just fluttered annoyingly around the human's head to make the havoc worse.
::starly:: and ::spearow:: Wild Pokemon attack!
